April 24th phone call from Superintendent Skelley. He laid out what the Class of 2020's graduation ceremony would look like, and gave advice to students on how to keep themselves learning without letter grades.
April 23rd phone call from Superintendent Kevin Skelley. He offers words of motivation to his school district:
"In this sweet and bitter experience called life, we are all enrolled in this course and we will pass it - not just with credit, but with distinction!"
On April 18th, SMHS Principal Yvonne Shiu announced that SMHS would be adopting a Credit/No-Credit grading system to replace letter grades for the 2019-2020 Spring Semester per the districts vote.
April 7th Message from Superintendent Kevin Skelley. Announcement that all campuses will remain closed for the rest of the school year. Credit/No-Credit Grading will continue to be discussed.
March 20th call from Superintendent Kevin Skelley. He gave a recap of the first week of social distancing.
March 12th, 2020, it was decided at a board meeting that all SMUHSD schools would shut down for two weeks and transition to online learning in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. The next day, we interviewed SMHS students and teachers on their last day before entering an uncertain self-quarantine.

"I have heard about a Coronavirus themed party, which I highly advise students to not attend because it would be super ironic if you did catch Coronavirus at a Coronavirus themed party." - Nathan Basman

On the evening of March 12th, 2020 the San Mateo Union High School District sent out this phone call. They announced that all district high schools would be closing for two weeks, but if health conditions did not improve, the temporary closure would extend to spring break.
