Howdy y’all- did y’all hear Beyonce is dropping a country album? Huh? You said where I been? Ummm I been minding my bald headed business like I said I was gone do and like I beeeennnnnn trying to do for some time now but yall wanted to play me. Mmm hmmm, {Reader please forgive me, I let Jazmine type this out. Who is she? Listen to the show and you’ll find out}- In this episode I’m talking about abandonment (frowning face). This is one of my least favorite feelings next to betrayal and disappointment. Key concepts:Abandonment trauma- is a profound fear-based response stemming from experiences of abandonment encompassing various forms such as the loss of a significant figure, unexpected breakups or divorces, or early-life neglect from primary attachment figures –– whether physical or emotional in natureBetrayal trauma- occurs when the people or institutions on which a person depends for survival significantly violate that person' s trust or well-being.Coping skills- The methods a person uses to deal with stressful situations. These may help a person face a situation, take action, and be flexible and persistent in solving problems.Bald Headed Youtube: Healing from Social traumaResources: 6 Signs of Complex PTSD | CPTSDThe Garden Within: Where the War with Your Emotions Ends and Your Most Powerful Life Beginby Dr. Anita Phillips, Anita Phillips https://amzn.to/3P0dzPa Healing Developmental Trauma: How Early Trauma Affects Self-Regulation, Self-Image, and the Capacity for Relationship by: Laurence Heller, PhD, and Aline LaPierre, PsyD (P)2015 Tantorhttps://amzn.to/3SWr3wQ The Body Keeps The Score by: Bessel van der Kolk M.D https://amzn.to/49w6GgX Let’s connect: Follow me on instagram @baldheadedbusiness where I post almost daily in my story. You really aren’t too broke for therapy, we as a collective of humans have just gotten extremely comfortable with ignoring the issues while making excuses for them. This isn’t a projection, it's an observation as I hear your smoke detector battery beeping in your background. Being humble doesn’t always mean having or showing a modest or low estimate of one's own importance. For me it means having the self-esteem to understand that even though you are doing well, you do not have to brag or gloat about it. I guess I just see things differently than most. In this episode we pick up where we left off, I share some of the feedback that I received from listeners about their privileges. I talk about where our minds go when things are beyond us. I talk about my personal experience coping with life as it continues to happen.
Awe and Wonder are places I find myself in “Both awe and wonder are often experienced in response to nature, art, music, spiritual experiences, or ideas. In the midst of those moments, we can feel overwhelmed by the vastness of something that is almost incomprehensible- it almost feels like what we’re witnessing can’t be true- like we’re seeing something that doesn’t fit with how we move through and understand our everyday lives.”- Brene' Brown
Word bank:
Coping Skills: Coping skills are the things we use that give us the ability to deal with life on life's terms.
Karma: the relationship between a person's mental or physical action and the consequences following that action
Curiosity: recognizing a gap in our knowledge about something that interests us, and becoming emotionally and cognitively invested in closing the gap through exploration and learning. Curiosity often starts with interest and can range from mild curiosity to passionate investigation.
Interest is the cognitive openness to engaging with a topic or experience.
Supersonic: Supersonic is a word when people start to listen. Especially big eared people, they pay close attention. You might not believe it, you might not even buy it. But when it comes to our lady (beatbox). You might even try it- J.J Fad
Mirror Work:makes you immediately aware of where you are resisting and where you are open and flowing.
Red- Eye: an overnight or late-night flight on a commercial airline.

In this episode I talk about the privileges I've experienced in my life and how frontier don't play about their boundaries.
Word bank:

Frontier: The extreme limit of understanding or achievement in a particular area.
Boundary: A line that marks the limits of an area; a dividing line.
Life transitions: periods of transformation in our lives that mark the beginning of something new. Whether it's the start of a new job, a move to a different city, or a major life event such as a marriage, divorce, or the birth of a child, life transitions can be exciting and overwhelming all at once.

In this episode I talk about what happened when I woke up and decided that I could actually do something I wanted to do.
Untold Background: In January I was offered a position working with a with a private practice, I didn't take it because I was scared. I was nervous that I wouldn't be able to maintain financially while building a new caseload and waiting for payments to pay out. Flash forward to April the offer came back around in a new package and this time I accepted it and started exactly one month ago today my case load is almost full and I decided to Celebrate by going on the Renaissance tour with my sister and friend as a personal form of self-care.

I have been away from the pod for 5 months. I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to take while navigating what form of therapy I wanted to focus on. In this episode we explore Minding your bald headed business and what that might look like for you. What is MMBHB? While MMBHB stands for Minding my bald headed business which is the motto of my life. It also stands for (M)indset (M)atters (B)ehave (H)onorably (B)eloved. As I continue to become one with fear and kick it with anxiety I remain centered in the mindset that worrying about what others have to say about how I take care of myself, or things…. Is not my bald headed business.

Welcome to season 3 of The Bald Head Chronicles. On this season I've passed the Mic to my number 1 fan Nana.
When I started this podcast I would record and then take it to my nana to share once a week. Nana found that she likes to listen to podcasts. The very 1st podcast she ever heard was The Happi & Whole podcast with my friend @thecreativesouloist.
Sharing podcasts with Nana became one of the things I looked forward to doing on Sundays. It helped us build on our foundation and it gave me the opportunity to introduce her to something new.
My Nana has been dropping gems on me my whole life and I truly believe that when young people start talking to older people it makes us a better people all around.
If you have never heard the song Better People by India. Arie I encourage you to Listen to it. It is on her Album titled

In this week's episode of the bald-headed chronicles, we had the pleasure of speaking with my good friend Crissy. Crissy is a wellness practitioner who strives for nothing less than to see her people WIN. Listen as Crissy shares about who she is, how she got started, and how to make sure you make every day WON.
For more information on how to get a hold of Crissy you can follow her on Instagram in 3 places. 1. @thecreativesouloist 2. @happiandwhole and her website happiandwhole.com 3. @juststrtsmall
I want to say had it not been for Crissy and her work with Just Strt Small I would have still been raggedy in a lot of areas but with her patience and consistent reminders that we are all in this together I started to remember every day is a day WON.

In this episode, we talk about a matter of time. "How can you expect to make and keep friends if you never spend time with them?" As we grow into new nouns we have to evaluate our old adjectives. We as humans change every 7 years which brings the question.... Which brings the question.... how often do you check on your underground friends?

In this episode, I talk about the importance of taking reading the notes and paying attention to your patterns.
Becoming a teacher made me realize that I needed to look at my patterns and habits as a student.
Ask yourself what kind of student are you? Are you the kid that plans it out works, at it a little bit a day until its done or are you that student that waits until right before the deadline and cranks out some amazing work in a pinch? Can you identify with either of these students? If so are you able to see your patterns? Have you taken note of your patterns? Last question... Did you read them?
