Welcome back to the Little Breakfast Podcast.

This episode was recorded live at Kirkliston Community Church on 4 August 2024 and features a conversation between Clive Parnell and Zack Eswine.

Zack is lead pastor of Riverside Church in St Louis and an award winning author of books such as “The Imperfect Pastor “ and “The Gospel according to Ecclesiastes.” He has been training and mentoring Clive in a cohort of pastors as they have explored wise leadership.

Zack has faced many challenges in His life and is aware that rather than trying to perform He needed to admit His weakness.

The conversation covered;

  • how we live as disciples.
  • our temptation to be a know it all, fix it all, or a be everywhere for all kind of person. being tempted to be one of these or even all three can lead to performing in life and this can lead to us burning out
  • learning to follow Jesus in the messiness of Life
