This past summer, Luke Sweet completed his first double iron-distance triathlon (known as a Double Anvil) in just over 30 hours. For those unfamiliar with triathlon, the double anvil consists of a 4.8 mile swim, a 224 mile bike, and a 52 mile run; all in 36 hours or less. Luke possesses a humble tenacity like nobody I've ever met before. This was truly an inspiring conversation and I'm excited to share it with you. Enjoy!

Parker Olson is surely one of the most unique individuals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He's an entrepreneur, an adventurer, and in 2021 - he became an Ironman (having never even done a triathlon or other endurance event before signing up). Using inexpensive used equipment, goofy outdated apparel, and homemade whole food endurance fuel - the man was able to keep his 'all in' costs to a meager $2k.
This episode is perfect for anyone that's been putting off their dream of a 140.6 because of costs and time. Enjoy!

If you've been to a nightclub in Vegas or LA, there's a good chance you've seen today's guest before: DJ Vice. And while many people know Vice as the resident DJ of Vegas's biggest clubs, not many people know that the man is a runner! In fact, he's run a mile a day every day for the last four years. Sometimes he runs further than a mile; like when he ran the LA marathon in 2019.
Today's interview features an awesome conversation with one of the most disciplined human beings I've ever met. If you are: 1) someone who wants to someday run a marathon; or 2) someone who wants to start a new habit (like running a mile a day) - this episode is for you. It's also for anybody with a pulse.

The idea for this episode was inspired by a question I received from a listener asking how to apply psychological persuasion principles to resume building. So, behold, the serial position effect!
Disclaimer: I've never been hired for a job that required me to submit a resume... only rejected, twice... So I'm probably not the best person to take resume advice from. However, the serial position effect is both real and at play in everyday life! The content in this episode will be valuable whether you're building a resume or not. Enjoy!

In this episode, I unpack the rhetorical themes behind the 60 sec script for my upcoming fundraiser. These principles can be replicated for almost any situation: public speaking, selling, recruiting, asking for a raise, etc. Enjoy!
Copied below is the script for anyone that's interested in reading it:
A lot of us right now are experiencing a return to freedom.
We’re going to restaurants, some of us are traveling again, and we’re seeing friends and family that we haven’t seen in a really long time.
That being said, there’s still an entire people group, though, that won’t experience this same freedom that we will - I’m talking about victims of human trafficking.
And I don’t know about you guys, but it’s tough for me to go about my life as normal, knowing that these people are suffering.
That’s why, this November, I’m gonna do something I’ve never done before in order to raise awareness and money to help these people…
I’m gonna run 50 freakin' miles.
I’m calling this run the #freedomfifty and you can participate in 3 ways:
So my question to you is: are you willing to jump in on this fight with us? We’d love to have you. Find the details below!

In today's episode, I unpack a psychological study on the influence that conformity has on our choices and actions. The idea for this episode was inspired by an interesting question I received from a Patreon subscriber who didn't want to be persuaded into buying a timeshare.
Disclaimer: today's episode is meant to illuminate how outside entities may try to influence or manipulate us via the power of conformity. This is definitely something to consider when it comes to advertising messages around us, including those pertaining to divisive social issues!
My hope is that this study would help us to: 1) recognize when this type of influence is occurring; and 2) help us to stand firm with our beliefs!
Lastly, I came across this study while reading Jonah Berger's, "Invisible Influence". I'd highly recommend the book if you're interested in digging deeper on this topic on your own!

I've been slowly re-releasing only the episodes that are aligned with the current messaging of Persuasion School (Andrew Lieber, Jim DeCicco, and now Sam). This one with Sam is one of my all-time favorites as it pertains to mental endurance! Hope you enjoy!

In this episode, I share tips for influencing others based on principles from neuroscience that come from the great book, "Your Brain At Work", by Dr. David Rock. Coincidentally, I started reading this book during the same week that I received this question from a listener:
"My 9 and 12 year old daughters are struggling with weight and image. How do I get them to want to eat more veggies and fruit (instead of junk food)?"
The book addresses scenarios almost identical to the one above which was a pleasant surprise. I had a ton of fun with this episode and I hope you find it valuable. Enjoy!

Have you ever found it challenging to remember all of the things you needed to know/bring up during an important meeting?
From information about your stakeholder to your pre-planned talking points to different negotiation methods, there's a lot for your brain to keep track of in a 30-60min meeting.
How do you remember to hit on each point while maintaining an organic flow to the conversation?
Worry no longer. On today's episode, I interview performance psychologist, Dr. Maryrose Blank, about this very topic. Dr. Blank (MR) shares a memorization technique that we can use to help bring our most persuasive selves to stakeholder meetings!

The question for today's Q&A:
"How do you not come across as needy when you’re hustling for meetings and opportunities to pitch people? I’m talking about using cold calls/cold emails/door knocking to get in the door. I feel like if I come across as needy it just cheapens the “product” even though I know it’s prestigious and desirable."
Great question! If you've been in sales for more than 3 hours, you've experienced this feeling. If you're not in sales but you've found yourself in a slump - unable to land any "wins" lately - you know this feeling as well!
In today's episode, I provide 3 main tips for either overcoming neediness or preventing yourself from feeling that way in the first place.

The question for today's Q&A: "You say that when we give something to someone, this person feels the need to reciprocate. I get that! But if you give something to someone, for example, in a job interview or something like that, wouldn’t that technique play against you. Wouldn’t the person you’re trying to persuade think that you’re being too obvious and cheesy? Based on that, how would you approach this type of situation (using the reciprocity rule) in a more subtle way?” Big thanks to Maria for sending this question in! I agree with her in my response and then I provide a real life example for how to use reciprocity in a subtle way during a job interview. Hopefully all of you on the job search find this helpful! The question for today's Q&A: "How much of myself do I need to give up to be more persuasive? Do I need to change who I am to win more deals/donations?"
I'm a huge fan of this question. Some people may see this and wonder why you'd even ask something like that, but many of us on the journey to become more persuasive will get it. I do, at least. I get it because when first starting out, I caught myself deviating from who I was in order to win people over.
In today's episode, I share the mistakes I've made in this area and I also provide some good insights from psychology to help answer the question. Enjoy! By this point, most of us have tried or seen the beverage that's now one of the fastest growing brands in the country: SUPER COFFEE. Forbes released an article this week stating that the company is now worth over $400 million dollars! The three brothers who founded the brand have appeared on Shark Tank and have even secured investments from celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. What many people don't know, though, is that the brothers were actually rejected during their pitch on Shark Tank! In today's interview (actually conducted almost two years ago when they were half their size), CEO Jimmy Decicco shares what it was like to be rejected in front of millions of people and how him and his brothers pressed onward to build the SUPER COFFEE empire we now know today. Enjoy!
Side note: If you've been listening to Persuasion School since the beginning, you'll recognize this interview! It was published under our previous name and removed when we relaunched last June. The fact that it's a couple years old makes it even cooler, in my opinion. We're able to hear about the habits they were building early on, knowing that those habits led them to become the massive brand they are today.

In today's episode, I interview one of the Turkish salesmen (starting at 10:40) I mentioned in our recent Whiskey Wednesday episode! Huseyin Baral is an entrepreneur who, along with his brother and nephew, owns four different shops inside of Istanbul's Grand Bazaar.
The Grand Bazaar is one of the world's oldest marketplaces (built in 1411). With over 4,000 vendors and more than 250,000 visitors per day, it's safe to say that the bazaar is one of the busiest markets on planet earth! To stand out and succeed in a place like this requires immense creativity, relentless stamina, and above all else, confidence.
Today's conversation is packed full of insightful tips on maintaining a positive mindset, building trust with potential stakeholders, and negotiation. Enjoy!

If you've been listening to the show for a bit, you may have put together that I'm a "learn-by-doing" type of guy. I'll have an idea, go for it, screw up, improve slightly, try again, and repeat.
In today's episode, Alexa and I dive into how I used that exact process to launch a screen printing business and clothing brand when I was 21 years old. That season of life was packed with lessons on sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship, that I still use to this day! Although the business ultimately failed, it was an experience that I wouldn't trade for anything.

The question for today's Monday Q&A:
"I am a news anchor and meteorologist for a local TV station in [metro area], and I’m up for contract negotiations soon! I recently found out that they are offering me just a 1% raise—and after asking some former coworkers who are no longer in TV, I see that the offer is at/just below what one woman was making 6 years ago in this same position, who had 2 years’ experience to my now 10.
We are hiring an evening news anchor and I found out that salary is more than DOUBLE what mine is for the same job in the mornings! Because I anchor & do weather (part time), I have unique abilities that others in this role didn’t (and frankly not many in the country do). They have made it abundantly clear that they know I bring the team good ratings and the community has grown to know and love me.
They also mentioned in my review earlier this week that they plan on having me do weather for noon newscasts more frequently—using this other skill of mine much more. I need guidance on what I believe to be more than just “asking for a raise”. We are talking about tens of thousands of dollars discrepancy here to bring me into an acceptable range. My emotions are still very high after hearing this news—I feel more than slighted! Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for any advice you may have!

A couple of weeks ago, I watched Daymond John (one of the sharks on ABC's Shark Tank) call himself a guppy when compared to the real sharks of the world: girl scouts selling cookies.
I thought this was both hilarious and somewhat accurate, as I've many times found myself powerless when asked to buy girl scout cookies when inside of their shark tank: the grocery store parking lot.
So, I thought it'd be fun to interview an actual girl scout and chat with her about the art and science of persuasion! The insights provided by my guest, Carly Norins, are surprisingly helpful to both sales and everyday life. Enjoy!

In 2012, I landed in Istanbul with the intent to teach English there for 6 weeks. When I arrived at the address I had been given, the people there had never heard of me, had never known I was coming, and had zero plans to provide English classes to the community.
That month and a half made for a life-changing experience. In today's episode, I unpack my time there and share the life lessons learned from the vendors of the nearby Grand Bazaar. Enjoy!

The question for today's Monday Q&A: “Do you or did you have any personal mentors? How can I find one, especially during COVID when it’s harder to meet others?”
On today's episode, I talk about the mentorship I've received over the past few years as well as provide tips for getting someone to mentor you! I also provide a template question toward the end which I've pasted below. Enjoy!
Template question: “Given that you have a lot of experience here (or are well versed in the area), I wanted to ask you if you’d be willing to meet with me. I’ve currently got this one thing as a challenge and I think you might be able to help me overcome it. Would you be willing to meet for coffee? Or over zoom?”

Have you ever experienced that phenomenon where you hear about something for the first time and then all of a sudden start to see that thing everywhere? Most of us have. It feels like a crazy coincidence in the moment but it's actually not a coincidence at all. There's science behind why this happens and the science is even crazier than the "coincidence"!
In today's episode, special guest Donald Kelly unpacks this phenomenon and explains how we can use this science to identify new opportunities - both in our physical environment and in communications with others.
If you know me, you know I get excited by studying the psychology and neuroscience behind communication so this was easily one of my favorite episodes. I gained a ton of value from the conversation and I know you will too. Enjoy!
Side note: the survey I mention at the end of the episode can be found here: https://www.persuasionschoolpodcast.com/survey
Guest bio:
"Donald has a belief that “anyone” can sell if they have the desire. Early on in his sales career, Donald struggled with sales, but through the proper training and coaching, he became a top performing seller.
He has since taken it upon himself to “evangelize” the message of effective selling to struggling entrepreneurs, salespeople and anyone looking to improve their sales hustle.
Donald hosts a popular sales podcast called, “The Sales Evangelist”. The show has over 2.3 million all-time downloads and is listened to in over 150 countries. Donald and his podcast have also been mentioned in Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, INC, and HubSpot as a top B2B sales podcast. You can connect with him on LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter @DonaldCKelly."
Many people see me up early on social media but not many people know that this used to be one of my biggest weaknesses. In fact, I was almost fired from two different jobs in the past because I'd routinely sleep in and be late for work. If I'd been my manager, I would've fired me for sure.
That changed about 5 years ago when I made a decision to build a new habit. In this episode, I explain both why I get up early as well as my philosophy behind it. Hopefully you'll find it valuable!
Enjoy!

In 2010, I was essentially tricked into working construction. The plan was to stay just long enough until I could find another high paying sales job. I ended up loving both the work and the crew so I stayed on for a full year.
That year building houses taught me a ton about life, business, and relationships. Alexa and I dive into the story today and unpack some of lessons I learned along the way. I also explain how these same lessons can help you in your everyday life.

An actor's main job, essentially, is to persuade us as the audience to buy into whatever it is they're selling (an emotion, a character, a scene, etc). In today's episode, I sit down with Oliver Trevena (who stars in the upcoming film, "Out of Death", with Bruce Willis and Jamie King) to discuss best practices for building confidence, transfering emotion, and ultimately - getting the things you want in life!
Oliver and I also share the same passion for fighting human trafficking! In the back half of the episode, we chat about his philanthropic efforts as an ambassador for the organization, Not For Sale, as well as his new brand's commitment to ending child hunger. His company, which he founded with Vanessa Hudgens, is called Caliwater and will be available for sale starting this month! Find it on Instagram @caliwater.

Today I'm re-releasing an interview I did two years ago with Dababy's agent, Andrew Lieber. Here's why I'm dropping this a second time:
1) When I interviewed Andrew, we were in the green room of one of Dababy's shows at a 500 person venue. Not many people had heard of Dababy at the time (including myself). Today, Dababy is arguably the hottest rapper on the planet. He's a 6x grammy nominee, has had 18 songs on the Billboard Top 100, and has over 1 billion Spotify streams for one song alone (Rockstar). As a result, Andrew's company has skyrocketed. He was recently labeled, "Hip-Hop's New Power Agent" by Pollstar, the largest live entertainment publication in the country.
Listening to Andrew discuss topics like persistence and overcoming rejection - right before he'd blow up - is an eye-opening and special experience to say the least.
2) We have 10 episodes under the old show name, "Grow Savagely". These will be removed and the ones that are in line with the current messaging of Persuasion School will be re-released!
Enjoy!
We're all familiar with the stigma associated with salespeople. Some of the words that come to mind tend to be things like: sleezy, slimy, snake, swindler, and anything else that starts with an "s". But why is this the case? How did a profession, that was originally meant to help people, become associated with such negative connotations?
In this episode, I provide the backstory to the sales profession, explain how the stigma came to exist, and share my intent to change it. I also provide tips for dealing with salespeople when you're a customer.
Enjoy!
We've said many times before on this podcast that character is THE most important of the three pillars of persuasion. In today's episode, TV chef and wellness entrepreneur, Charles Chen, provides practical ways for strengthening our character. Charles' tips will help us to attract the "wins" we're looking for rather than chase them. Simply put, this episode will teach you how to become a person that other people want to say "yes" to.
"After Charles Chen’s 100 pound weight loss transformation, it become his mission to pay it forward by helping to transform a billion people’s wellness worldwide. Now the founder of Zzeal.co, democratizing wellness through monthly Zzeal Boxes, Masterclasses, and digital content. Charles Chen has created a name for himself in culinary and wellness space working with some of the largest CPG & Fortune 500 brands. You can watch Charles as a regular on Dr.Oz Show, Food Network, Netflix, ABC, NBC & More."
Have you ever been in a difficult situation where you needed somebody to make a decision in your favor? Maybe you were bumped to a later flight at the airport or the hotel concierge told you they were fully booked after you'd made a reservation? Situations like this can be tough to navigate when emotions are high.
In today's episode, I provide tips for getting what you want during these moments based on an event that happened this week. The episode starts with a discussion about Ironman training so feel free to skip to 19:45 if you want to jump straight to that event!
Enjoy!
Storytelling has become a bit of a buzzword these days. This should be a good thing, considering storytelling is one of the most powerful means of communicating that we have as humans. The problem, though, is that most people are unknowingly telling the wrong story.
In this episode, we break down the 7 plot points used in best-selling novels and box office hits. These plot points, when used correctly, can help us to craft an ultra-compelling story that will move people to action; including your boss!
Big thank you to Donald Miller and his book, "Building a Story Brand"! The information in today's episode comes directly from him. Interested in reading the book yourself? Grab it here on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3tW3sPB
We've mentioned many times during our intros that this podcast can help you get somebody to go on a date with you. In today's episode, we do exactly that! But before we get into dating, we had to first dive into Jake's former gambling addiction.
Enjoy this two-fer of an episode and learn how to both count cards and get somebody to say "yes" to a date! If you're interested in skipping to the dating portion you can jump to minute 23!
We've focused a lot on being more persuasive through our verbal communication and body language. In today's episode, Cyn Sandoval (former marketing manager for Daymond John and The Shark Group), walks us through best practices for crafting compelling written messages.
Cyn's advice will help you to avoid common mistakes and ensure your message sticks. Much of what she says is also directly applicable to being more persuasive in-person, on zoom, or over the phone. Enjoy!
"Cyn is the founder and director of Cynthia is Marketing, a boutique advertising consultancy managing well over 1 million in advertising spend, partnering with ambitious e-commerce and online education businesses looking to scale their efforts profitably with impactful paid media strategies. She earned her stripes working with renowned digital advertising agencies and industry leaders like Daymond John from ABC's Shark Tank, generating over 15 million in revenue through advertising campaigns for brands like Capital One, Atkins, The Shark Group, and more."
Also, a side note for our listeners: This is our first ever sponsored episode! If you've been listening for a while, you've heard me say that if you want to sell your idea, you first have to be sold on it yourself. That being the case, I'd never promote a product on the show that I don't believe in! Today's product is one that I'm excited to get behind and I hope you will be too. Check out their website www.freelunchcoffee.com and use the code "Persuasion" for 15% off!
One time a buddy and I tried to go ice fishing without any of the proper equipment. The result: a near death experience, an increased heart rate, and zero fish.
After the fishing story (at minute marker 15:47), Alexa and I chat about things to do and say in order to negotiate a lower rent with your landlord.
Enjoy!
It can be all too easy at times to focus on our needs rather than the needs of the person we're trying to persuade. We become so wrapped up in trying to get what we want that we forget to listen. We forget to ask questions. We forget to humanize the person we're speaking with. This is where most of us go wrong!
In this episode, I discuss this pitfall along with ways to overcome it with my special guest, Sergio Jimenez. Enjoy!
A little bit about Mr. Sergio Jimenez:
"Sales-born in the gym industry at 17. Moved on to sell cars, made $13k my 2nd full month as a car salesman. Broke dealership record by being promoted only 3 months after starting. Became the youngest F&I guy in the state at 18. Became the youngest sales manager in the state at 22.
My side hustle the entire time was roofing contracting. I would land projects and sub them out, pocketing 40% margin without hammering a single nail.
Eventually, my side hustle outgrew my main hustle and I quit entirely to start my roofing company. We now employ over 40 people including 3 separate divisions of sales teams such as: Commercial, Residential Retail, & insurance-based restoration teams.
I am now 26, "working" 8-noonish, with all the time that I need to pursue my childhood dreams of making it as a screenwriter & filmmaker in Hollywood."
In 2014, I thought it'd be a good idea to drive a scooter 1700 miles across the country. That idea turned out to not be so good of an idea. The challenges I experienced on that trip made it one of the most grueling experiences of my life.
Enjoy this week's episode from our new segment, Whiskey Wednesday!
If we want to make a stronger impact, we need to be stronger storytellers.

In episode 27, we discussed ways to give and take "temporary status" using our body language. Episode 30 follows up on this principle of "temporary status" with several ways to either give or take status using our language. Enjoy!
When it comes to persuading others, status is everything. Too much status on our end can lead to us being perceived as overly dominant. Too little status can lead to us being perceived as a doormat. In between these opposites are several sweet spots. In episodes 27 and 30, you'll learn how to find them!
Also! The quote that Alexa brings up at the end is in fact NOT from Eleanor Roosevelt. I was wrong! It came from Maya Angelou!
After a handful of requests to hear more about what others have called my "wild personal life", I've decided to open up via our new series, "Whiskey Wednesday".
Whiskey Wednesday (WW) is an additional weekly episode where Alexa and I informally discuss various aspects of my life. The Persuasion School audience has asked to learn more about me as a person so this will be the place to learn! Have a question for me? Send me a DM through Instagram (@itsjakesavage) and I'll try to answer it during one of our WW sessions.
In today's episode, I share an insane and true story about a time I found myself in a tight spot in the Caribbean. Alexa and I linger a bit throughout the intro so if you're interested in jumping straight to the story, you can skip to 8:50. Enjoy!
"Be confident, be yourself, and go knock it out of the park!" - typical advice for things like asking for raises or crushing job interviews. Sounds simple enough, right? If it's so simple, then why is it so hard to actually do?
In this episode, famous music artist, Greyson Chance, shares his methods for:
All three of Greyson's tips are directly applicable to everyday situations. Give this episode a listen and knock that next "ask" out of the park!
When it comes to persuading others, status is everything. Too much status on our end can lead to us being perceived as overly dominant. Too little status can lead to us being perceived as a doormat. In between these opposites is a sweet spot and only the most persuasive individuals know how to find it.
In this episode, I provide a breakdown of this power dynamic and teach you one way to achieve the ideal balance of status. It’s a tip that will work for both in-person and zoom conversations. Enjoy!
One of the biggest reasons we fail when attempting to persuade others: our inability to manage our own emotions.
Anybody can craft a compelling “pitch” when trying to sell their idea. What happens, though, when the conversation doesn’t go as planned - when your boss snaps at you and tells you now’s not a good time to ask for a raise/promotion; when the interviewer tells you that you might not be a good fit for the job; or when your partner immediately shuts down your idea without hearing it through? What do you do then? Do you react? Or do you respond?
In this episode, I’ll break down the difference between reacting and responding and explain why keeping your cool is critical for achieving a successful outcome.
“Buy this!” “Donate now!” “Register here!”. These are the calls to action that most of us see on a daily basis. Because this type of messaging has become so prevalent, many of us have become completely desensitized to it. This desensitization has made it that much more difficult for people and organizations to capture our attention and inspire us to action. This past weekend, however, one organization had a breakthrough.
Wikipedia earned a place in my heart after I stumbled across their latest donation request. The message was masterfully written and incredibly persuasive. In this episode, I break down the persuasion methods used in each sentence and explain how you can use the same methods to win others over. Enjoy!
“There is little success where there is little laughter.” - Andrew Carnegie.
You don’t need to be a comedian to win others over but there’s plenty of science to show that laughter does help. In this episode, I discuss the science behind humor and why it’s vital for persuading others. Enjoy!
There’s a proverbial radio station in the world of persuasion and it’s called WIIFM. If you hope to influence others, you need to be “tuned into it”.
In this episode, I’ll break down this age old acronym as well as provide some examples for how to use it. Side note - I’d like to thank and give a shout out to one of my heroes, the late great Zig Ziglar, who I believe first coined the term “WIIFM”. RIP ZIG!
Have you ever heard of the sales tactic that involves getting your prospect to say “yes” multiple times in a row by asking questions? Have you ever tried it? Did you find that it was successful at least some of the time? Do you enjoy doing things that you like to do? BOOM - GOT YOU! YOU JUST SAID YES FOUR TIMES IN A ROW. NOW, BUY MY STUFF!If you’ve been in sales for even a short period of time, you’ve probably heard of this technique. It goes by a series of names including: micro-commitments, micro-closes, trial closes, the four walls technique, and probably more. Here’s the deal, it absolutely can be effective but it can also be a slippery slope toward being manipulative. In today’s episode, I share a method from FBI hostage negotiator, Chris Voss, on how to be more persuasive. It’s semi-counterintuitive to what we as salespeople have been taught but I believe that if used properly, it can be far more effective than the traditional technique above. This method will also help you to steer clear of being manipulative while attempting to be persuasive. Enjoy!
Ever wonder what methods the FBI uses to recruit foreign spies? Of course you do. In this episode, I breakdown one of these methods along with how you can use that method to win others over. I also go on a tangent about why I think you feel like you’re the 7th member of the show “Friends”. You’re not, though. There are only six of them and they don’t care about you. Same with me. They don’t care about me either. Enjoy the episode.
In this episode, I share another rapport building technique that's used by FBI hostage negotiators around the globe. This technique is one that will feel strange to many, but when used properly, can be extremely effective in winning others over. Check out episode 12 of Persuasion School for the first FBI tip on building rapport!
In this episode, I describe the science behind how confidence works as well as how to feel more confident more often. The science and research come directly from the mindset course, "Compete to Create", by Michael Gervais and Pete Carroll. One of the biggest factors in persuasive communication is the transference of emotion. In order for our audience to feel confident about what it is that we're offering, WE need to feel confident about it ourselves. We can't transfer an emotion that we don't have. In this episode, you'll learn the four step process to achieving the confidence needed to win others over and consistently perform at your best.
In this episode, I share Jia Jang's biggest tip for overcoming the fear of rejection and finding success. Jia is an entrepreneur from Austin, TX who put himself through a personal research project called, "100 days of rejection". During his project, Jia discovered several things that helped convert initial rejection into success. He has shared this info through his book, "Rejection Proof", and his viral Ted Talk, "What I learned from 100 Days of Rejection". The clip in today's podcast comes directly from his Ted Talk.
In Part 3 of my interview with Mike Weinberg, Mike breaks down another major pitfall for salespeople (and many entrepreneurs): The dangers of being a good corporate citizen.
