Wildlife Generation Pro Cycling's Cormac McGeogh checks in from Sibiu, Romania with a report on the Tour of Romania. He had a tough prologue where a flat tire cost him time and then suffered health issues during Stage 1 which ended up with him in the hospital. However, he's remaining in Romania with the team and providing us with updates of the race!
Since 2012 we'd conducted more than 5,000 interviews ranging on all topics cycling. After a three year hiatus where we strictly focused on skiing and snowboarding (sports on which we will regularly report on the "First Chair" podcast), we took the hint from all of the emails and requests for us to start Over the Top Cycling again. We relaunched as Over the Top Cycling presented by Gerard Cycles and for our first episode thought it would be fun to learn more about the founder of Gerard Cycles - John Sheehan. Joining John is cycling legend Mick Walsh for a fun discussion about, you guessed it, bikes!

He and his wife Pamela had their lives drastically changed when Jon was struck by a car while descending a canyon on his bicycle and he suffered a traumatic brain injury. The Robichauds are now leaving on a year long trip around the United States in a conversion Sprinter van during which they will camp, write and ride their bicycles. We'll follow them with regular podcasts during their trip to see what's going on. In this, our first interview with Jon and Pamela, we discuss the accident and the effects it has had on themselves as well as their friends and family.

We discuss what it's like to be feeling like you're at your limit only to have your director radio and say you need to go harder. Ian is finding this rest day more relaxing than the first. The end is in sight but there are still some tough days of racing ahead.
