The law has negative connotations for most. It reminds us that we are in trouble. But if you're a Jesus follower, it reminds you that you need Jesus, and He is your place of refuge and forgiveness when you make a mistake. Don't drift and live under the law. Discover and live under grace.

What would the world look like if there were no rules? If there were no traffic laws and everyone just drove how they wanted to? Chaos. Danger. God spoke into the chaos of His people in the Old Testament through Moses to bring order. God established how His people would live according to His perfect will through His law. But no matter how hard they tried and we try, we fail to obey God 100%...we miss the target. God sent Jesus to do what we couldn't - to keep every law perfectly. As Jesus' followers, we obey God out of love rather than obligation or performance. Pray: Lord, empower me to love you more and to love others as myself.

Are you a control freak or know someone around you who is? The Bible says God created us in HIS image...but how often do we return the favor and make God into our OWN image? Being in control of our own lives and depending on only ourselves is at the heart of today's lie: "I don't need God." Long before we ever even knew we needed him, Christ gave His life for us. Now He calls you to discover that life is better when you surrender to your gracious Father who loves you.

When we surrender our lives to God, we offer Him a life that allows Him to guide our thoughts, words, and actions. When we surrender, we die to ourselves so we can be instruments of righteousness living for God’s will. Worship requires us to lay down our desire to conform to the world. Worship is less me and more Jesus. That means honoring God by thinking more about others than ourselves.  It means even when we have the authority to have it our way, we may let it go. We surrender our lives by living more intentionally. We bring glory to God by the way we live out our days.  Worship is honor and respect—appreciation for life, the world, our blessings, gratitude, and thankfulness for each day. True worship is demonstrated in how we live each day when no one is looking.  Gather to Scatter - Gather to draw strength, then GO bringing glory to God in the world so more people will hear of His name and be transformed forever.

Unity - Closing the Gap between you, Jesus and others

The day Pearl Harbor was attacked, it galvanized a nation. The Miracle on Ice brought together a country. In the days following 9/11, unity in America was at an all time high. Why didn't it last? We crave unity but we naturally move toward disunity, in our homes, in our community, in our politics, in our nation, in our world. In the last day before Jesus died, the emphasis of Jesus' prayer was not for God to protect His disciples or to empower them or for unique insights. He prayed that they might be one. He prayed for unity. Unity with God and with each other. Join us as we take a three week journey to intentionally move toward unity.

Sermon - "Time"

New Series - Pardon the Interruption

What would an interruption in your life look like right now? A pesky inconvenience? A hoped-for answer to prayer? A wake up call? Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote about interruptions in his book, Life Together: “We must be ready to allow ourselves to be interrupted by God. God will be constantly crossing our paths and canceling our plans by sending us people with claims and petitions.”  When God took on flesh that first Christmas in Bethlehem, Jesus interrupted history and came to deliver Heaven’s greatest gift...Salvation in His Name! Not everyone reacted to His interruption in the same way. Jesus wants to interrupt your life this Advent season - how will you respond to him?

Episode - Hoping For an Interruption

Be open to God interrupting your life in an unexpected way. We place our hope in ourselves, other people, or things. Jesus came to bring us hope that we can't find anywhere else.  When life seems cut down to nothing, God is up to something.

Beginning series "True North" Modern Day Heresies.

The most dangerous lies are the ones you never notice.  They can shape your thinking in ways you'd never expect and put you on a path you never intended to be on.  How do you recognize them and guard against them? Join us as we explore modern heresies and seek  "true north."

"Truth"

What is a "heresy"?  We allow competing voices to sway us into believing truth is relative or from an opinion.  Find The Truth and allow that to be our guide for this life and into the next. This means Jesus is the truth and He will always lead us toward better knowing and living that truth.

Let's face it, worship is typically designed to reach adults and youth are invited. Today we flip the roles and build a service for youth and adults are invited. Beginning a new series "Finding We in a World for Me"

Life can be lonely. Life shouldn't be done alone. Either should our faith. Faith should be a WE thing. Have a better life. Have a better faith. Join us for three weeks that could transform your life.

"Circles"

To move people one step away from isolation and one step closer to genuine community. We live isolated lives, often not going deep with anyone. Because of the death of Jesus, we can have confidence in our relationship with Jesus.

We only have one life to live. What story do you want told about your life? You are loved and created by God. He not only wants to spend eternity with you but wants the best life for you now. So He has left us widsom that if we follow and take it to heart, our life is better. Join this four week journey as we look at the path of our lives. Live your life well.

"Your Direction Determines Your Destination"

Your direction, not your intention determines your destination.  We need more doers of the word not more learners of the Word.

Start of the Series Called:

Why am I here? We all want to know the answer. You've probably asked yourself this question many times. You can spend your life searching for an answer or you can spend your life knowing the One who has a unique calling on your life. If you are retired, working or a student, you are called.

"To Work"

To work without worry. We live with the tension of doing nothing (relying on God) or doing everything (without God). God could do it Himself but He calls us to participate.

To live in the power of the Holy Spirit on the best and the worst days of our lives. Suffering can make me doubt God or deny knowing Him to protect myself.  Jesus suffered rejection and execution for us even when we deserted Him. If Jesus shed His blood to save it, shouldn't we give our lives to build it?

To be so filled with the Holy Spirit that we are able to make extraordinary sacrifices for the sake of Jesus. Often, we are so concerned about our-self's that we close off opportunities of sacrifice.  God will give you the power to make life-changing sacrifices.

To live with power under pressure to obey God and not men. We shrink back or collapse under the pressure from the world or the enemy. Our own strength always falls short, but Jesus' power overcomes fear, sin, and the grave.

Turn from what is weighing you down to live a life of power over all the Jesus paid for. We have believed the lie that we cannot escape that which weighs us down. Jesus has given us the power to turn from whatever is weighing us down as He took the wight on the cross.

Start of the Series PowerFULL.

Do you struggle with feeling powerless?  Ever feel too tired, too worn, too weak, too spread thin to accomplish the plans and purposes that Jesus has assigned for your life? You're not alone. In fact, no one can accomplish what God is asking us to do in our own strength; a God-sized mission can't be done with human-sized strength. In the book of Acts, we uncover the clarity of God's mission for our lives—that we carry the name of Jesus far and wide to the whole world. We discover we have sufficient power through the Holy Spirit to lift up Jesus for all to see. God's power enables us to be everything God has created us to be and to do everything He has called us to do. It is Jesus who can truly make us Power-Full.

Purpose with Power

We are easily overwhelmed with hopelessness, feeling we have no power or purpose with circumstances going on around us. Jesus' encourages us through His actions and promises that we have all the power we need.

Start of the Series "Goliath Must Fall"

It's likely you have a giant in your life. It's likely that you've tried to get rid of that giant. Rather than settling for less, embrace God's plan for your life and live in victory. In this series, "Goliath Must Fall" based on Pastor Louie Giglio's book of the same name, we invite you to live knowing that Jesus has already slayed your giant. Now he must fall. Fix your eyes on the size of your God, not the size of your giant.

Name the Giant

He Must Fall...our giants may start small but they can grow out of control
