Be it crate digging or seeking inthe history of house music - we are always looking for new impulses and the next big record. Liminal.traces: a duo - two friends - mixing music with passion since 2018. It all started with our tradition to mix a set just for fun and the mood before going out to dance to electronic music through the night in Cologne and Düsseldorf. We immediately felt attracted to the sound of the underground.In the early 2020s we made experiences on open air events as part of a collective in cologne and started to mix music not only for ourselves, but also for an audience of both dancers and music enthusiasts.During that time we developed a focus on sound, which is moving liminal between deep, dub, detroit and minimal. While moving between these styles, we are appreciating both house music and techno and rely great importance on good and quality sound and its traces to the underground.Our own traces lay between CGN and DUS so naturally we feel connected to both cities and the region nearby like Wuppertal and the infamous Ruhrpott.

The former bunker is a new cultural institution in the middle of Düsseldorf, here regularly changing exhibitions take place, there are rooms for use as well as the great music bar in the basement. Recorded with 2 x Technics 1210, 2 x CDJs and the infamous Varia Instruments RDM 40 Rotary. What a mixer!Expect some disco edits, house classics and notorious evergreens.Cheers!

Bio:
Almost Famous is a Berlin based DJ. Growing up with 90s hip hop, he gradually found his way to house and disco music through funk and soul. While he always had a passion for sharing music and collecting records, he started DJing only a few years back. What started as a gig for fun at a friend’s birthday party slowly but surely developed into a real passion for mixing music on a regular basis. Together with a couple of friends, Almost Famous organizes and hosts ‘Not In My House’ and ‘Disko, No Disko’, both recurring club nights at Humboldthain Club in Berlin. Though bringing joy to people on the dance floors of Berlin is what initially drove his love for mixing music, he adapted to the current circumstances by starting to contribute to more and more guest mixes for house and disco lovers to enjoy, wherever they are.
We are happy and proud to announce our second release in this so difficult year 2021. Music, at least for us, was an important factor to get through well mentally, always keeping the smile and remembering the long club nights when we seemed to be almost unstoppable and forgot everything around us. Where everything became one and trivialities no longer counted. Where everyone was like the other.
We also had this feeling when we got to know Pietro aka Peter LC (@petermlc) from Italy through our label buddy @berlinanton, who runs his project and label @discodiscorecords. His tracks convinced and during the first video call it turned out that Pietro is a super nice, likeable guy - who already shows his extraordinary talent in his young years.
Mastered by Nico Lahs (@nico-lahs) who recently released an EP on Mike Grant's legendary M&G label, we are happy to present this super fresh sounding deep house 4-tracker strictly designed for the dancefloor.

Pietro La Calamita (https://soundcloud.com/petermlc) falls in love with music very young, inheriting the passion for the early sounds of 70's disco from his father, vinyl enthusiast. The art of DJing soon becomes his new mean of expression and thus, after several years dedicated to music, he decides to give a name to his deejay/producer project: Peter LC. His selection is marked by a constant research focusing on house music and includes tracks which are deeply rooted into disco, jazz and funk. He loves to mix 70's italian records with the most avant-guard sounds, both digital and vinyl releases. Peter comes from Matera, south of Italy, where he had the chance to propose his music to thousands of people sharing the decks with remarkable international artists such as Marshall Jefferson, Omar S, Move D, Gianmarco Orsini and many more coming from the house scene. Lukas aka Tamaa is a passionate digger of different kinds of house music. He is resident dj and Booker of Schumacher Club located in Bochum, which slighty becomes one of the most important institutions for electronic subculture in its region of germany. His sound is a diverse mixture between contemporary house music, older italo and funk records a long side more ravy stuff. With his event series Malam he already invited international guests like Session victim, Fantastic Man, Massimiliano Pagliara or Dan Shake. Tamaas skills perfectly represents how helpful a monthly residency in a nightclub surrounded by likeminded people can be to become a talented DJ.
Quadrakey are the epitome of a quality DJ / Producer duo working in harmony. Their amazing ability to express themselves through their music has moulded them into first rate music selectors. Quadrakey are passionate, charming and armed with a powerful array of music that will mesmerise, enthral and shower love to any dancefloor.

Dennis Kahnn is a resident DJ since 10 years in a club called Residenz in Paderborn and Stereo in Bielefeld. He started playing and collecting records in 2005 and has gathered around 4500 records which he is playing at his gigs. His sets are influenced by Chicago, New York, Detroit house music from the 90' and DJ's and producers like Jovonn, Larry Heard, Levan, Humphries, Kerri Chandler. Being one of the founders of Raw Soul Marcin constantly increased his knowledge about house music. We all know him as a hard working man and this is what we respect the most about him. He is a very talented dj, being influenced by deep moody vibes from all the over the world: starting with New York’s House, with a prize of Detroit and Chicago, rounded up with sounds from Berlin, Paris or Frankfurt. Excerpting the best - that’s what it’s all about for Marcin. Much more to be expected for the next years - watch out for him.

When we think about Thomas, there is just one word about to describe his intimate love for records: passion. Being 14 years old he digged his first vinyl, an ep from the German Hip Hop crew "Stieber Twins". A couple of years later he recognized the beauty of house music and started to collect even more cross-border records - his collection of 700 platters contains Garage, House, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Disco und last but not least - Hip Hop. „After I met Jeremy Underground, my understanding for house music was completely renewed.“ That happened back in 2011, when we had Jeremy as our guest in Düsseldorf. As a main result, Thomas and the gang set up RAW SOUL as a passionated crew for records, music and knowledge sharing.

Manooz is keeping up the underground/chicago/detroit deephouse in the south of Germany. Till today he released some real house music on labels like: Housewax, Morris Audio, Seven Music and recently his "Deeper Side EP" on Soulfood Records. We are very happy that Manooz was keen to record a podcast for us because we pretty much got the same taste in music. Enjoy it!
We met Nick back in 2012 for the first time while Jeremy Underground played his first gig at Watergate Club downstairs. We knew that we have the same passion for house music, we shared the love standing on the dance floor as much we love to cheer up the crowd playin' some honest house records.

Roussakis is a 21 year old DJ from the second biggest city of Denmark called "Aarhus". He is a vinyl only DJ, and started to collect records at the age of 19. "The Dj-highlights so far must be my warm-up set before Jeremy Underground Paris and the time I played a set at a totally packed venue before and after Jacques Renault played" Roussakis said. Further he is proud to be a part of a crew called "Regelbau". That crew consists of 9 guys (including 2 Bit Crew, Chris Cheops, Odd Shapes etc) who's main goal is to strengthen the electronic-music underground scene in Aarhus, Denmark. They are also hosting parties, and the second one is yet to be announced soon.
