Jason Thompson took out the Group 1 for the second time in the space of three years but it was Mick Stringer who looked after Aussie Secret while he was in Tasmania, and Brennan spoke to Mick after the race.

Arguably the biggest week for the year in Tasmanian greyhound racing has arrived with the pinnacle being the Group 1 Ladbrokes Hobart Thousand. On episode 68 of Kennel talk, Brennan Ryan and Matt Reid cover that meeting in detail.
Brennan had a first hand look at the Devonport Breeders Classic Semi-Finals on Tuesday where he and his father Pat Ryan provided two of the four winners. That series always produces a quality winner and this year appears likely to be no exception.

The Ladbrokes Hobart Thousand has arrived with six heats for Tasmania’s only Group 1 race to be decided this Thursday night. On episode 67 of Kennel talk, Matt Reid and Brennan Ryan are joined by Mike Clarke to discuss the series in detail.
Interstate chasers head the Ladbrokes All In market for the Thousand with Aussie Secret ($4.40) and Do It ($5.50) heading the betting but Mike sees some value in Jepara ($10) who he thinks is one of the better bets in his heat.
In other racing, trainer Russell Watts returned from a lengthy layoff with an impressive winner in Devonport on Tuesday courtesy of Clairvoyant, while Wynburn Ruby lived up to the hype in the heats of the Devonport Breeders last Saturday.

It’s been another busy week around the state for greyhound racing which Brennan Ryan and Matt Reid cover on episode 66 of Tasracing Kennel talk.
Superior Wallis was a brilliant Ladbrokes Devonport Chase winner last Friday and it seems all the contenders from that series are set to meet again as preparations for the Ladbrokes Hobart Thousand ramp up this Thursday night.
In Launceston last Monday night, On the Beers was a winner on the quick back-up after Devonport last Friday, producing a nice result for a group of owners that have a great passion for greyhound racing.
