Man, this turned out to be such a wonderful conversation with Eric Farewell. I first listened to Eric in person at a conference called CapCon just a little over a month ago. After hearing him speak, I knew he would be a fantastic guest on the show. Man, was I right. Eric is an amazing person who has been through quite a bit but has emerged from it all a better individual.

He has taken all the hits from life and turned them into valuable learning experiences that have shaped him into who he is today.

I absolutely loved how he describes life as a journey. We are all on the same journey, though we travel different trails and experience various good times. It is a journey without a destination, and all we have is the journey itself. Let's make the best out of every day.

Eric has had to overcome terrible physical pain, which he continues to suffer from to this day, as well as the emotional pain that accompanies it.

He talks about all that and more in this episode.

Don't miss it, and share it far and wide.

Thanks, Eric, for coming on the show! Get to know more about Eric @ericfarewell on instagram and his business aviator paramotor.

This episode is chock-full of gems. Don't miss this episode with Dr. Bill Schindler! This has been on my mind for a long time, knowing that I had a little one coming, and now that the little one is 7 months old and eating solids, it is even more important. This conversation makes nourishing our children easy.

Not only that, but Bill ends with why we need to be gathering our families around the dinner table, and it isn't just for physical nourishment.

If you want a simple way to feed your children, look no further—you found it. The hard part is implementing it consistently.

Thank you so much for coming on the show, Bill!

You probably remember this podcast originally as the Wellness Farmer Podcast. Well we are changing things up and are now called the You Heal You Podcast because all things in life come back to you and only you can heal you.

That needs to be the basis of all our healing journeys. Things are going to get awesome over the next couple of years. I have learned so much and experienced so much since the last time we hung out here on this platform.

On the newest episode I want to share one of my pain points that I have been working on for decades. Yup decades, it can take that long and even longer. That could discourage many as it has discouraged me on many occasions. Just remember that this journey we are on together on finding and perfecting who we are in this crazy world never ends, I personally believe that even after death we will continue to progress and be better in all aspects of life, but for now just remember that this journey is a process that doesn't have a destination here on earth. All we got is the journey, that is all, so we have to enjoy it and most importantly find contentment even in the hardest of times.

In this episode I bring you Daniel Mancina to inspire you to persevere in your challenges. Daniel's story is inspiring and it is good to hear these every once in a while. Sometimes we forget how much we do have because we take it for granted. That is one reason today's episode is so important. Be grateful for what you have. That does not mean conform to what you have, always be looking to be better in every aspect but also you must be grateful for what you have in the present moment.

Daniel became legally blind 5 years ago and started to lose his vision at age 13 but he did not let that interfere with what he loves. Skateboarding. Being legally blind he is out there skating, doing what he loves and showing the world that you can. YOU CAN, nothing is holding you back besides yourself.

Don't miss Daniels story and be inspired to be your best even during the most challenging of times.

The latest guest on The Wellness Farmer Podcast is Neil Cannon. Someone that took his health into is own hands and used his natural innate abilities to heal himself from eczema. He went through all the conversion treatments and just didn't find the solution like so many others.

Now from what he learned he is helping many others heal themselves also using what he calls the 4 pillars of Vitality.

As I learn more and more about who we are the more I understand that the only way to heal is through your natural innate ability to heal yourself. You must figure it out. Not alone, there are people out there that can help, but you must figure it out and looking to conventional methods will only take you through a tunnel that the light you see at the end is not the end of the tunnel but a train coming straight at you and is not slowing down.

Neil has gone through it and is now helping others find their own path to self healing.

You heal you, remember that! And every symptom you experience is your body intelligently adapting to your environment.

Gardening is a way to heal. It is one of many ways we heal. We need to be part of nature. Playing our proper role in nature, not only heals us but it heals and maintains nature.

One thing we must know. If nature is sick we will eventually become sick. If nature is healthy we can be healthy and most likely will become healthy. When you look to nature and build her it gives us a desire to be better and healthier. If you don't believe me, try it. Go out and enjoy nature, even better participate in nature by planting a garden and see what happens.

It is never to late to plant something. Use the time you have and enjoy some time outside with your kids if you have any and plant a garden.

Better said, build soil. We don't grow plants we grow soil and the soil is what grows the plants. The healthier and more alive the soil the better your plants will grow.

I garden for many reasons, not just for the food. It heals us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Big or small it doesn't matter, what matters is working with nature in nature is part of who we are. Find those roots inside you and return to who you are, who we are as a species.

I need to talk about this stuff more often. First, I just want to say sorry for not focusing on this more. Life is to important to focus on the little insignificant stuff, of course unless that is your profession or calling in life. But for the majority of us we just need a simple way to take advantage of life by being as healthy as possible.

Today I break it down again into what you need to do to be your best self physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Before I tell you what to focus on, if you want this to work you must decide to take responsibility and turn what I say into habits and then lifestyles you have to live them until you leave this beautiful planet.

To heal and be our best we need to enjoy a couple of things daily, they are:

Lots of movement and at end range of motion. Become as strong and flexible as you possibly can.

Rest at the right times, follow your natural circadian rhythm, rest at night work during the day.

Eat the natural human diet:

Majority of what we consume must be animal based (animal fats, meats and organs and everything in between.)

Eat liberally pink salt, Redmonds Salt from Utah and unprocessed sea salt.

Some fruit in season and honey

Little vegetables if you enjoy them in season, preferably cooked or fermented.

Everything else eliminate or eat very, very sparingly.

Throw away today all seed and vegetable oils and processed salts.

Live the 4 agreements taught to us by the great Toltec nation:

Be flawless with our words to ourselves and everybody else.

Don't take anything personally.

Don't assume or have expectations of others.

Do the best you can every single day.

If we live this way every day of our life we will be better than fine we will thrive and that is what I want all my listeners to do, THRIVE!

I look at myself and see gray now. I really never thought this day would come. Gray hair in my beard. It seems like yesterday that patients were asking me, "aren't you to young to be a chiropractor?" Now they tell me, "you have doing this a long time haven't you."

I have wasted my fair share of time, some on activities but most on me not allowing myself to progress and be better. Those moments where you feel angry, sad, used or any other feeling that puts you in a mood of victim is a huge time drain.

This episode hits it hard for me because almost exactly 7 years ago I shared an episode on the same topic, time and how precious it is. Episode 3 of The Wellness Farmer Podcast was released on September 14, 2015 today is September 13th 2022. So much has happened in these last 7 years but man, it has just flown by.

Are we using our time wisely? Are we using one of the most important assets we have to be better, stronger, healthier, wiser, wealthier in every aspect of life, not just monetarily?

Today I take you down memory lane and share what I shared a little about in 2015. One way to better take advantage of our time, the short amount we have that is all we need.

Listen to episode 3 and hear how it all started. If you have been with me since episode 3 let me know. Tag me on instagram @benpagedc or send me an email to benpagedc@gmail.com

I really enjoyed the conversation I had with our latest guest. Dr. Robert Kiltz has been on a journey to help people heal for a long time. He has evolved and helped himself and his patients heal properly.

He is one of those doctors that keeps his patients as peers. He even learns from his patients. It feels good to find a fellow health practitioner that does that.

His journey of how he healed emotionally and physically is an example we can look to and now he helps his patients in the same manner.

On this episode he talks about how to heal emotionally and physically using techniques and diet that are just to important to ignore. Enjoy this episode and tag Dr. Kiltz @doctorkiltz and I @benpagedc on instagram and let us know your thoughts.

On the Show is Dustin Powers, someone that is doing it. He is living a life where he is able to put health in its proper order. It wasn't easy, as anything worth pursuing in this life of ups and downs.

Dustin explains when and how he first realized the need to make a change and most importantly how he acted on what he felt he needed to do to live a simple but extremely satisfying life.

The how is especially interesting as it shows us how we can start in our own unique way to also put health in its proper order.

He has been able to accomplish a lot in a relatively short time. It is possible. And he is a good example of how.

Listen to hear his story of starting out burdened with debt to now providing almost 85% of his own food on a beautiful permaculture farm.

What is the most important thing above all other things. I believe it to be your health. There is nothing more important than your health. Once you lose your health you are pretty much worthless. No, you actually become a burden to yourself and even worse to others.

"Easy choices, hard life. Hard choices, easy life" - Jerzy Gergorek

If we want to make health our #1 priority we have to make hard choices, but it is worth it because your life will become easier.

For most of us when we finally make that choice and decide we will make our health our #1 priority, we will not know where to start. It was made confusing for a reason, to make it look hard so you will pick the easy life and enrich a few people that want you sick and dependent on their system.

The hard choice makes us as Eric Jorgensen wrote optimistic contrarians. He describes a contrarian as someone who isn't one who always objects - that's a conformist of a different sort. A contrarian reasons independently from the ground up and resists pressure to conform.

We must not conform, we must surround ourselves with people that will not conform. I would be honored to be one of those people. Here are some of the things I am doing to not conform. I hope they help you on your never ending journey called health.

  • I simplify health to its basics
  • I eat in this order and as often as possible meat, fat, organs, eggs, fruit, honey, some vegetables and very little of everything else.
  • I am a barefooter
  • I get out in the sun as much as possible
  • I lift heavy, I stretch long
  • I sleep early and wake up early
  • I build healthy relationships with myself and those I love
  • I treat others as I want to be treated

I wanted to take some time and share why I am moving to less and less vegetables in my diet. I hate the word diet because when someone says it, what first comes to most peoples mind is weight loss. But diet just means the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats.

over the last 100 years the human diet has changed dramatically and disease has skyrocketed with it. I know, it is not just what we eat but the decision of what we put in our mouths every day has a lot to do with our overall physical, mental and even spiritual health.

How do I try and eat now, and what do I recommend to my patients and to you listening right now. I know this is going to be hard for many because I know you love to garden, I do too. But what you are growing should not be the majority of what you eat. Your diet should be based on animal foods. Yes, the last hundred years have been wrong for a very lucrative reason.

Today I go into more detail of why and how learning this for myself was not easy being the garden lover that I am. But to make it as simple as possible I broke it down into 5 points done in order from 1 to 5.

Simply said, base how you eat, how you nourish yourself in this order

  1. Animal fats, meats organs, eggs and if you like, raw milk (nose to tail).
  2. Fruit in season and honey.
  3. Vegetables in season
  4. Avoid everything else as much as you can
  5. Throw away seed oil, processed salt, sugar and flour.

Mental ruts can be very hard to get out of. I am going to give you how I helped myself out of one.

What I did to help myself get out of a terrible mental rut that was years in the making.

  1. I played in the dirt a lot. I used natures ability to heal as much and as long as possible. Listen to todays episode to hear about the many ways I played in the dirt.
  2. Improved my relationships, primarily with my wife and children. This was also huge and is an ongoing process, a never ending process.
  3. Started to take more action, move forward, one step at a time. Sometimes it was as big as an inch and sometimes it felt like a huge leap but I just made sure I took the step into the unknown.
  4. I am going to add one more, it is make "I can" a very important part of your vocabulary. You can, you can, you can. I can, I can, I can, I did and I know I will say, I did, soon with my business ventures also.

Feels great to be back. Was out literally working, I mean, playing in the dirt for the last 3 weeks. I took that time to really focus on where I was at and the people and work I was doing. I did miss you guys also though.

I was able to see how beautiful and powerful nature was during that time working and it reminded me of how important each and every season of nature is to us every single day.

Nature and its creator are the best teachers and by following their examples and patterns our lives can become so much more simple, not easy, simple. Life was never meant to be easy.

One of those important patterns are the four seasons that we should be living every day.

Each day we need to experience Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Today I remind myself of this important pattern and share it with you.

I really enjoyed this conversation. The more I study about nutrition, health and how our ancestors lived I realize that plants were their medicine and plants need to be our medicine.

This information used to be passed down from generation to generation but that has stopped. Now we must look for it. Most don't use plants as their medicine because they just don't know. That is why I am so excited to bring on Leah. She has dedicated over 20 years to this and has learned from some of the best.

We not only talk about how plants help us heal but how nature helps us heal. One thing she talked about that really stood out was how plants work with the body helping it heal. This episode is packed with gems that you won't want to miss.

Robert Turner is our guest where he talks about his new book "Lewis Mumford and the Food Fighters, A food Revolution in America."

Our health depends so much on what we eat every day. It is one of the most important decisions we make everyday regarding our health. Most have delegated this choice to food companies that we can count on our fingers.

Just one fact he talks about in this episode is how 10 companies own 60% of all the food products found in the center aisles in supermarkets. I recommend staying as far away as possible from those aisle.

We must take our food security and sovereignty back not just for our survival but to be able to thrive and be healthy in todays world. This episode is full of ways to do that.

Check out his book here.

I have pretty much dedicated my life to learning and teaching people how to simplify their health using nature as the biggest help. Here are the 3 most important things we must know to achieve it, I believe. * We heal from the inside out. * Nature is our medicine. * Lifestyles are our health.

Nature helped my body heal from a terrible physical trauma, and I am sure it can help heal all your physical brakes, bumps, bruises, falls, cuts, scrapes, rips and tears of life.

Tune in to hear how I reduce unnecessary stress with 6 steps.

To sum it all up.

1: Find something that brings you to the present moment, if it also has to be something that can support yourself and family even better. Get out in nature as much as possible because it will bring you to the present moment. Plant a garden, participate with nature because it will bring you to the present moment. Be present, be human.

2: Stay within your circle of influence and many times that circle will only have you in it. That is fine.

3: Be flawless with your words, be truthful with your self and everybody else.

4: Don't take anything personally.

5: Done assume and don't put high expectations on others just yourself.

6: Just do the best you can every day, it doesn't matter what it is just do your best.

As you can see I take what others have done and tweak it and mold it to who I am. I didn't make any of this stuff up. I am standing on the shoulders of great people that wanted to be their best and have left what helped them and those around them. Take what I say and make it yours. Mold it so it feels yours, when you do them in your way your results will be so much better.

I love how we are so similar but so different at the same time.

Start today because this fortunately takes a lifetime to master, but with each step you will experience less and less unnecessary stress and more and more health and vitality.

Life will be full of challenges, set backs, failures, yes failures, and struggles. During most of these times we won't want to take the next step.

Even if we take the next step we may not and probably won't feel any different or any better. The only way things will get better is if we take step after step and over time we will begin to see things get better.

I almost always share with you my hard times. First, to show you that everybody goes through them, I am no better than you. And, Second so I can learn and hopefully you get something out of at also.

I have had a life of setbacks and failures, failures in the most important roles that I believe I have. Not easy to deal with that but I have found that the only way to deal with it is to take the next step.

The next step is so important and over time you will see things get better. Don't expect things to get better right away. It takes time but the neat thing about it is we all have all the time that there is.

When you are feeling like a failure because you have failed or just because you don't reach your expectations or worse those of others before you take the step forward ask yourself. What can I learn from this? After that, plan and then finally take the step.

All important parts but the action the taking the step is the most important. Don't stop and over time you will see things get better.

Nature will teach us all we need to know if we just take the time to observe and work with her.

Today while we were driving into the driveway of the new place we are going to live we saw some plants growing in-between the decorative rocks that line the front yard. Not much I can do with the front yard besides keeping it nice and tidy.

I decided to pull the plants. Some have been there for quite a while because they had deep roots maybe even before the construction started, others had just germinated.

This experience in the difference between pulling plants with well established roots and ones that do not is a great lesson in life and I talk all about it the latest episode.

LIsten as I go into more detail about how nature teaches us to not let those habits we need to change, those lifestyles, those emotional traumas plant deep well established roots that are almost impossible to pull. Instead pull them out when they germinate so the learning and healing process is as easy and quick as pulling a newly germinated plant.

So many times life can seem over whelming, how in the world am I going to be able to get everything done? There is just too much to do! I have felt this way on too many occasions. These moments are usually very stressful and harmful to our health in the long run if we constantly think this and also live this way. There will always be moments in life where you just can't avoid having just way too much to do. Those are moments of growth, if we allow them, where we show how we can handle the stresses of live in a healthy manner. But this shouldn't be the norm. It should be for short moments at a time in our life.

Stressful moments in life are very important, they show us if we are growing. Not only does it show us if we are growing but it is on many occasions the moment of growth. Stressful moments in life are where we show who we really are. I don't remember who said it but I believe it to be true, In moments of stress or difficultly we always fall back on our lowest level of practice or training. not our highest.

That is why it is so important to be in stressful situations at times, so we can learn and test our ability to stay calm and not get emotional. It is easy to stay calm and level headed when we are not stressed. It is easy to think logical and not emotional when we aren't in a stressful situation or moment in life. The growth comes when we can do it in stressful moments, painful moments.

One way we can turn our stressful moments in life into moments of growth is by being open-minded, listen to hear how.

The 40 hour storm of traveling with 10 suitcases in over. A tough one but we made it out better and stronger.

I have a goal of staying calm in the storm. I continue to learn how to maintain calmness in stressful situations and this last stressful situation, which I go into in a lot more detain in this episode I thought I had handled pretty well, until someone close to me helped me realize that through their eyes it wasn't seen the same way.

I believe the more calm we can stay in stressful times the better off we will be, better decisions will be made and the healthier we will become.

Moments where we get constructive criticism are so important. I could have stayed hurt and blamed everything and everybody but what good would that do.

What will help is me trying to see how the other saw it and understand her and most importantly learn from this situation and make sure the next time we are in a similar situation I act differently.

Remember that this life is a journey of learning and improving. Never stop learning about who you are and how you can be better, your health will thank you so much for it.

Remember that we don't need to be right, actually always asks yourself, why do I think I am right? And listen to those around you and instead of thinking I know, ask what can I learn from others perspectives.

I continue to learn and hope to be the calm in the storm every time. I hope this inspires you to do the same.

Change is almost always for the better. I am going through a huge change right now that is very time consuming but I know it will be for the better.

I hope this episode inspires you to leave your comfort zone. It does't have be be crazy just a small step forward because that small step over time will get you to where you need to go but if you don't take that first step you will never get there.

The focus or goal of becoming better is a process that takes years and really a lifetime. We must be improving always. I hope this experience that we are going through will help you also start one small step forward. Instead of waking up and going straight to the shower do 1 pushup if possible, or if 1 is too easy, do 50 but leave your comfort zone. Grow!

  • Decide to eat better, ask me I will help you know exactly what you should be eating.
  • Rest Better, ask me I will help you understand how to rest better.
  • Move more, if you need help moving more ask me and I will help you.
  • It the end really just be more human, ask me and I will help you understand how to be more human.

I sure hope to get to know some of you personally now that we are moving to the States. A new chapter. I am going to make the most of it.

I released my book Playing in the Dirt almost 2 years ago. That book is the base of all that I am doing, my passion, my gift, my work that I can bring to this world is what is on the pages of that book.

Since I first started thinking about what I wanted to become, the same thought would always come to my mind, I want to help people feel their best. So many years later and I have found the easiest why to do it. Be human. That is it, be human. Playing in the Dirt is one of those conversations that we all need to have filled with stories and experiences that hopefully entertain as we learn and grow.

My family is in the process of starting a new chapter in our lives. This starts with finishing a chapter, which is very time consuming but even though we are beyond busy preparing to close a chapter in our lives and begin a new one soon. I still take some time and walk barefoot outside enjoying being human.

I want to leave you with the same challenge. This week, it doesn't matter how busy you are make sure you take time and walk barefoot outside everyday feeling the earth beneath your feet and the sun above you, in other words make sure you are just being human every single day this week and when the week is up let me know how it went. Let me know on instagram, tag me @benpagedc and let me know how you felt!

If you haven't gotten a copy of my book Playing in the Dirt, now would be a huge help to me if you got one for yourself and as a gift for someone you know would enjoy a personal conversation about life and healing with nature.

If you haven't left a review, please leave one because it is the feedback that helps me know that it is all worth it.

Thanks!

Most people don't think about what shoes are doing to their feet. Most don't even look for comfort. They are more concerned with style then they are comfort and even less about the health of their feet.

I have talked a lot about our feet and the effects of grounding because they are one of the parts of our body that we don't think about much. Most actually are causing harm to their feet every single day and over time this effects our overall health.

Our feet are a lot more important than we think. We have to train our feet just like we train the rest of our body and mind. Today's guest has been dedicating her life to this for over 3 years now and shares how we can better treat our feet without shoes and with shoes.

We talk about exercises that we can all do in the comfort of our homes and what is important to look for in shoes to allow our feet reach their potential.

If you have ever suffered from foot problems today is going to be of great value and those that haven't, now is the time to step it up and really treat your feet how they should be treated.

There are some great articles on Anya's website, here I share a couple that will help you get started:

I do this hoping to help at least one person with each episode. How I do that is by taking what nature teaches me and try and turn it into a lesson where we can live healthier lives. Yesterday nature showed her power here where we live. Nature is patient, loving, resilient and also very powerful and can be terrible.

This episode is all about a hailstorm that pummeled where we are currently living, listen as I go into detain of what happened.

Life, just like nature will throw you unexpected moments that will usually leave damage.

Many times we ask after an unexpected experience that causes harm:

Why did this happen to me?

Where I believe the better question is:

What can I learn from this experience to be better prepared for the next?

That is what I am trying to do after every tough experience, learn from it and be as nature is and patiently, step by step get to work, building the best life I can for myself, my family, and those that surround me.

What did I learn from this fierce hailstorm? This episode is all about it. Don't miss it and don't forget to tag me on instagram @benpagedc and I will tag you right back.

Grateful for the opportunity to chat with Dr. Nae as she likes to be called. The increase in emotional pain and suffering has sky-rocketed in the last two years mainly due to terrible government interventions in a health and medical based problem.

It is great to know that studies and now examples from all over the world show that what they did was not the best way to tackle the problem and actually made the situation much worse.

That is what makes todays guests work so important. There is a lot to heal from, and I am not just talking about the last two years and with the proper tools and guidance you can heal you.

That is one very important topic we discuss. You heal you, us as professionals can provide tools and guidance but in the end only you can heal you and it happens from the inside out.

I don't understand your potential, what I do understand though is that you have everything inside you to heal, prosper and live your purpose today, it doesn't even matter the situation you currently find yourself in.

Eco-psychology is one more tool you can use to heal, learn all about it in todays episode.

Get in touch with Dr. Nae on instagram, tag her @drnaelmft and let her know you heard her here on The Wellness Farmer Podcast.

I enjoy chatting with James. He is always genuine and just looking to help as many people as possible.

Movement is becoming more and more recognized as a fundamental part of our health journeys. I love that we are hearing more that movement is nutrition. I remember saying that so long ago and to hear it more and more today is a good sign we are moving in the right direction.

We end up going deep in this conversation on how to take our spinal health to the next level. The spinal cord has been such an important part of my life for the last 13 years, this is an important message. Our spine protects what allows us to live. Our spinal cord is the information highway for all movement, all organ function and pretty much anything we do on a daily basis.

Our spinal health is incredibly important. As always James comes on and goes into detail about some movements that we can all do to improve our spinal flexibility and strength. These movements involve all ranges of motion, which requires practice.

Your spinal health If not the most important, is definitely up high on the list. Take this episode and start treating your spine better.

Here are some videos of the exercises that James talks about to help you build strength and flexibility in your spine

In this episode I dive a lot more deeper in how I ended last weeks episode.

Last week I gave 3 ways I have been able to bounce back from hard times the were:

  1. My family
  2. Morning conversations with my creator.
  3. Playing in and enjoying my edge of nature, my garden.

My family has been there to listen whenever I needed them. They not only have listened but they have guided using their unique knowledge and experiences. From my grandparents to my own kids. They have all helped me bounce back in different ways.

Getting to know my creator and his son has not only helped me bounce back but has been the support I needed when I just couldn't take another step forward. Jesus carried me forward until I could take the next step myself.

Nature, working with nature has been pivotal in my bouncing back. It has given me the peace I needed when the self made chaos was unbearable. 15 minutes of experiencing this peace was enough to take the next step.

These 3 ways I have personal experience with and know they helped me bounce back that is why I know they can also help you bounce back, take the next step.

I love learning from you how have bounced back? What has helped you bounce back?

DM @benpagedc me on instagram and let me know. I want to hear from you.

Bounce back! I read that today! Bouncing back from hard times is how we move forward, how we progress, it is so important! The faster we bounce back the better.

I have had a lot of setbacks, I have had to bounce back from fears, and doubts about my self and who I am and what I thought was the best for my family so many times I can't even count them now. I know I am not alone and I don't write this to get pity I write it because we all go through this, some worse than others for sure but no one in this world does not go through it.

Fear and self doubt is normal, what isn't normal is the ability to walk straight up to the fear and self doubt and say thank you, but no thanks. To walk right though it. That is rare today. Most people just dull the fears and self doubt with binging and not taking action. They live their life in their comfort zone and never reach who they know deep inside they are. Most people just don't bounce back. They throw in the towel and say it just isn't for me. I can't do this.

Aubrey Marcus shared something that got me thinking today while I was preparing what I was going to talk about. He wrote

Sometimes...

I lose confidence.

I feel powerless.

I get depressed.

Yesterday, in fact. But I have a secret weapon now that I didn't always have.

It's not all the techniques I practice to facilitate state changes like breath work, dance, tantra or a hard workout. Those help.

The secret weapon is community!

Now is the time to bounce back and there are so many techniques out there that we can and will probably use but the secret weapon is community, people you can trust, people that want to help, people that can help, people that need help.

The best way to bounce back and have the best 2022 is with community.

Before I go I want to give you 3 things that have helped me bounce back and one is my personal little community.

  1. My family
  2. Morning conversations with my creator.
  3. Playing in and enjoying my edge of nature, my garden.

This is an episode that is just packed pull of wisdom for our health and wellness journeys. I bring Dr. Bill Schindler back on the show to talk specifically about vegetables. Most of us include vegetables in our selection of food because we believe them all to be healthy. Well that just isn't the truth. That doesn't mean we can't eat them though.

Bill doesn't ask the question what can I eat? He asks the question how do I prepare it so I can eat it?

We talk about the number one way to prepare vegetables to make them as safe as possible.

We also dive a little deeper into the potato because so many, including me eat potatoes. Using the method he talks about in this episode you will be eating French fries that are actually healthy!

What an honor to have him on the show for a second time to go deeper into vegetables.

Get to know more about what Bill is up to at www.eatlikeahuman.com and www.modernstoneagekitchen.com.

Lucas is our guest on this episode and we go deep into the importance of flexibility and strength over all but then dive deeper into how to keep the spine strong and flexible. The spine has been a very important part of who I am for the last 15 years. However I learned new ways to keep my spine healthy talking with Lucas.

This whole conversation starts off with can anyone be flexible and the answer is a big, yes. Do each and everyone of us need to be able to do the splits, no. We need to be flexible and strong enough to be able to live as humans. My personal goal is to achieve front and side splits and as Lucas explained if that is your goal you have to understand at the start that it is a long process of small steps.

Stretching is a lot like strengthening, we have to give our bodies rest days to improve in our flexibility.

The stronger and flexible our spines are the healthier we will be over all. I love how Lucas says "we flex so we won't brake." This is so important with the spine. There is absolutely no reason for you to fear putting your spine in flexion and extension. They are natural movements.

Most of us have a lot of flexion and lack extension. That is why we went just a little bit more deeper on spine extension and how we can improve our flexibility in extension with simple exercises that I am already implementing in my workout routines.

This is just some of the topics we talked about on this episode.

I believe 2022 is a great time to start or continue to accomplish great things but there is something that doesn't let us move forward, fear.

This year let's take on our fears. I have my subconscious fears and conscious fears and each one of us has them. For most if not all we don't become who we should because of the fear. Progress stops because of fear, health dwindles because of fear.

We have to stomp out unnecessary fear if we are going to progress. The best way to stomp out a conscious fear is by taking it on, walking straight at it.

I know there are a lot of people out there that are still scared of the never ending virus and its variants. March will mark 2 whole years of fear mongering about something that in the whole scheme of things is very benign, where 99.7% survive. You have to face the fear. You have to live like it was 2018. How did you live in 2018? Do that. To do that we have to stop complying with mandates or suggestions or coercions. They have no merit. Face the fear head on and you will see that the scary shadow of this supposed terrible beast is really just small, little and insignificant.

To take on the fear you have to let go of all of the excuses that the media has thrown at you to fear. You just have to step into the fear. Beat it, I know you can!

I know many of you that are listening have probably beaten this fear down but there are still too many that have not. If you know anyone that still fears this virus share this with them.

Now is the time where we begin the conquer our fears and bring the good out in each other working side by side. As wellness farmers, as men and woman that are tired of the system, that want more freedom, that are looking for natural solutions to health and wellness by learning and improving in their gardening, hunting and homesteading skills.

Right now the price is reduced but starting January 31 the price will be going up to $30.00. Right now you are getting a 50% discount that will be locked in for life.

Join us as we conquer our fears and bring the better out of each other! Go to www.pastosverdesfarm.com/subscription and join us!

Are you on the right bus? I have been contemplating that phrase for the last couple of weeks. I read a book on business and one of the the main concepts to build a good to great business is making sure the right people are on the bus and the wrong ones get off or never get on.

This is also great advice for life. As the last episode of this year. A year of division unfortunately. We have to be the change, even though we are different we can't be divided because of those differences. We all want freedom in the end. Fight for what each and everyone of us wants, freedom to choose.

2022 will be different, at least for those that are getting on this bus. I am looking for the right people to be on the bus.

On this episode you will hear some questions more than once. If you answer yes to any of these questions and you understand that long lasting growth takes patience you are one. Don't hesitate! Get on the bus make 2022 the year where you start for real!

Enjoy this last episode of the year 2021 and make these holidays great by being around those that bring you up, that talk about ideas not gossip. Be around those that you love and cherish. Show that love and cherish those that you love.

I love you guys, thanks so much for listening, thanks so much for sharing. I am grateful for you and who you are and what you can become.

I can't wait to personally talk to each and everyone of you soon as wellness farmers! We are going to change what health is one person at a time.

As we wind down another year of exaggerated fear mongering we can lift up our hearts because we have so much going for us. Here I want to share just 4.

  1. There are many out there that truly want to see you thrive not just in health like I do but in every aspect of life. There are so many people sticking their necks out, why? Why am I willing to stick my neck out? Because my only interest is to see you free, free of pain, free of heartache, free to move and live and be the best possible you.

  2. You can set your priorities right now! What are your three top priorities right now? Let me know in the comments even better let me know on Instagram, the only social media platform where I hang out every once in awhile. DM me there @benpagedc.

  3. There is always time to change and now is the time to do it. We have to prune what is not serving us well.

And 4. You are God's greatest creation with the innate ability to heal, build, recuperate and maintain great health just remember that we have to set priorities and be willing to change poor lifestyles to proper lifestyles like:

  • Eating nutrient dense food grown or raised in a proper way with an emphasis on properly raised meats and fats.
  • Getting enough rest
  • Following our natural circadian rhythm
  • Moving outdoors enough, especially our spines
  • Playing in the dirt as often as possible
  • Talking to yourself as you talk to others
  • Surrounding yourself with other people that bring you up and focus on talking about ideas and ways to improve instead of the latest gossip.

Are you eating as a human being should? On the latest episode I tackle that question With Dr. Bill Schindler. What an episode that you won't want to miss!

Food, nutrition, diet, those words have different meanings and bring up certain emotions too pretty much everybody. If you haven't I imagine you know someone that has tried at least 2 different diets, mostly with little success or returning to the same habits and body weight as before.

This episode will help you understand what you should be eating and most importantly as Bill stated how you should be eating it.

Most people are asking the wrong question it isn't what, but how.

We start this conversation talking about vegetables and how they fit into our nutrition. We talk specifically about a couple of vegetables that you are not going to want to miss. One of them is the famous potato.

We also talk about animals and how they also fit into our nutrition.

This episode will give you with the knowledge you need to go out there and eat as you were born to eat. Share this episode far and wide! The world needs to hear this!

There are many problems in the world today, the list is long but the answer to the majority of these problems can be solved using permaculture principles. Permaculture gives us the tools that will allow us to fix a broken system and change for the better.

You have probably heard me say this a hundred times if you are a longtime listener but it never gets old. If you are a new listener, first, welcome and second this is what I say so often. Health is a journey that never ends and the most important part is making it a lifestyle. We have to be persistent and consistent if we want to make any long term progress.

On the latest episode I share with you a personal experience of how being consistent and persistent has lead to a pretty awesome result in about 3 months.

I have been on a journey to get to know my inner child better and I have been consistently giving him between 5-10 minutes everyday of dedicated time. It has been a crazy journey of smiles, frowns, crying and laughing and this could only have happened through be persistent in giving him time to talk and me listening.

My mind was able to create images that were so real as we would chat about past experiences.

I now recommend each of us do it, it has helped me relax and be more present even at a time in my life where I need to get things down and even at a faster rate. What a help it has been.

I hope you enjoy this episode of me telling you a personal story of healing. Share it far, it is the only way we grow with you sharing.

My book recommendation on this episode is Sleep Smarter by Shawn Stevenson.

Jeffery Rediger is our guest today. What an episode of how we heal as humans. We are so much more than we give ourselves credit for. We believe in the power that created us, that turned 2 cells into an ecosystem of organs that work harmoniously together, but most forget that same power is still in you and me right now creating, building, healing and maintaining.

We heal ourselves, nothing else, and I love how Jeffery talks about what we can do to help our powerful bodies heal us.

You might be thinking, but it must be so complicated and difficult to understand, how can I heal myself. It is simple, not easy but simple. Jeffery says, first, we need to physically heal our diet and our immune systems. Next, we need to mentally heal our stress response and our identities. That is it, focusing on those we will see positive changes.

Not only that we also get into some of the myths of modern medicine like LDL and cholesterol are not the culprit for atherosclerosis. What an episode!

Enjoy and share this far and wide! Lets get the word out!

As we look back now and see how 19 months of the exact same practices have brought more physical and mental anguish and sickness, and how ugly it feels to write this but death. Lets not ever let how we decide to be healthy be dictated by just a few even in times where it seems there is no other alternative. I will also say this here, don’t give your kids the injection, they don’t need it, the adverse effects out way the benefits by just to much!

Instead instill in them lifestyles that will benefit them today and many years from now, help them take responsibility of their health now by leading and being the example. If you don’t have kids be the example to those who surround you.

As you begin to take back the responsibility of your own health I will give you the two places where you should start. Healing our wounded guts and our traumatized nervous systems.

Listen to get a lot more details but to summarize everything:

  1. Get to know your ancestors and learn how they lived.
  2. Eat like them
  3. Sleep like them
  4. Move like them
  5. Talk like them
  6. Build communities like them

That’s it, if you do these basics you will experience huge improvements in every aspect of your life.

I leave you with this quote because each day is a new day remember that

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Greg is our guest on this episode, I enjoyed so much chatting with Greg about taking health back to its simplicity.

What an episode. Nature is our guide and Greg brought it home in a way that could only be explained by him. Just like seasons in a year we also have to live the four seasons everyday of our life.

Healing is not adding but almost always subtracting and than reclaiming the energy that we allowed to be taken away.

This episode is so jam packed that you are probably going to want to listen to this one more than once.

This journey of healing physically, emotionally and spiritually starts with the basics and continues with letting go of the old myth and allow the new myth to emerge. Letting go of the adopted truth and allowing your truth to shine is where we really start blossom.

We even talk about how we seek out conflict, why? Listen to hear why!

Jordan was going through a very hard time when he returned to his ancestral roots of playing in the dirt. For Jordan it was a life changer. Working with the soil made him feel different and he loved it. He wasn’t stuck thinking about the terrible moment he was going through. He actually started to learn from it.

Jordan is helping many people going through hard times using nature and more than anything the garden. His story is inspiring and you get to hear it here on the Wellness Farmer Podcast.

For many people the garden is for food but as you will hear today it is so much more than that.

I really enjoyed this conversation because it is something that I personally have experienced and to see how others have also been through it in their own special way is something very special.

Jordan is doing awesome things, get in touch with him on Instagram @mindandsoil and his website www.mindandsoil.com

What an episode! James Fuller has been helping others decrease pain with strength building and flexibility for many years. On this episode we dive into the hip joints. With the conveniences of life we have lost so much of our mobility in our hips and the only way to prevent the wearing down of these very important joints is to build strength and flexibility around them.

James gives us exercises that both stretch and strengthen the muscles, tendons, and ligaments that surround our hips. Don’t miss this episode, and most important, implement what you learn so that you can move better and if you are in pain, be pain free.

We talked about a lot of exercises and James was kind enough to send me videos of them so here they are, and if you haven’t followed him yet on instagram, don’t miss out on learning how to increase strength and flexibility. You can find him at @strongman_archeology

Split dead lifts.

Side lunges.

Sit ups.

Kneeling jump splits.

Knee ups with dumbbells.

Jefferson lift.

Cross Leg Side Bends

These are just some of the exercises that will help build strength and flexibility.

Let’s build strength and flexibility so we don’t have to suffer pain as James says pain is optional.

These last couple of weeks the garden and nature has retaught me some important lessons that will help us be our best healthiest self, on this episode I want to share them with you.

They are:

Enjoy the season of life you are currently in because it will come to an end. What season of life are you in? Let me know on instagram @benpagedc.

To better enjoy each season, be humble, and there is not need to expect to much from others, yes we need to push ourselves to be our best but don’t set ourselves up for failure when we expect to much of others.

Move every morning outside barefoot to really take advantage of the time you have to enjoy each season.

When we weed the garden, make sure we take the weed at its root, the same works for our negative reactions to our emotions. To change habits we have to grab it by the roots, many times this means healing past traumas. This is not easy but the work is worth it.

And finally, everything that we want in life won’t come easy, just like a garden bed ready to plant took work to prepare behind the scenes, all we want in life takes beautiful consistent work that most will not understand and not see. Don’t conform, you have so much more to give!

Enjoy and share this episode! I have a goal to reach 50 reviews on iTunes before the end of the year. Help me reach that goal, leave a review on iTunes!

I am excited to bring JC back on the show. If you haven’t listened to our first conversation, episode 251, check it out. We talked all about foot health, he gave some great pointers and exercises on how to keep our feet as strong and healthy as possible.

On this episode we go from the foot to the hip and talk about what usually happens to the hips over time and how to correct it at home. That is what is so cool about this conversation, you can do this at home. We need good hip movement, and when I say hip I am talking about the true hip joint and also the sacroiliac joints, movement at end range can return with some small changes and as a result the pain will disappear.

If you have suffered from back pain or are currently suffering this episode will be of help to get you on the path of pain free movement. Don’t miss it!

If I had to say one thing that is of utter importance at this moment in time, it is to come together and fight for the ability to choose how we will take care of ourselves and those under our care.

There is no reason I should force anything on you, there is no reason why you should force something on me. We cannot force or coarse other people. We absolutely cannot allow others, for no reason, to be forced or coerced by governments. We cannot and we must fight together so this does not happen. We have to come together in spite of what we believe and not allow others to force us to do something.

I will never force anyone to wear a mask when they come to my clinic, but if that person decides to wear a mask I will not force them to take it off either. I always do give my thoughts on the mask and most do take them off afterwards. If you have a business, I am recommending you do the same, let them choose, if they come in without a mask let them be, they are probably doing it because they have studied it out and find for them they don’t help.

The mask is nothing compared to what is happening world wide right now. Now more than ever we have to stand up for the right to chose for everybody. We must leave our comfort zone and speak out. I cannot and will not force something on you. You must not force something on me. We absolutely cannot let governments divide us forcing part of the population to inject themselves with something they do not agree with. This is so important. This can be done in the name of love, we don’t have to bicker, we don’t have to fight, we can must come together and fight for the freedom to choose. Even if you believe 100% in the injection you must not and cannot force someone that does not want it to get it. I believe we can all come together and we can all believe in that statement.

Now let's act in love and make sure the freedom to choose is not lost for anybody. If you have questions ask them, leave your comfort zone knowing that you can and probably will learn something new by asking the question.

On the latest episode Josh Trent comes on the show to give us some guidance on breath work. It is one of the best ways to calm ourselves in times of stress or anxiety. He not only gives us methods but he also explains the how and why breathing is able to change our physiology and help us stay present and calm in any situation.

This episode is full of gems that will help you in your journey to better well-being from how to breath properly to ways we can use breathing to feel our best mentally.

One of the gems I pulled out of this conversation was the importance of inhaling from the nose and exhaling from the mouth when we use breath work to decrease anxiety or stress. I have always just been a nose breathier while I meditate, now I know when something does not go the way I expected, I say “good” and will now breath out with my mouth.

Josh has a great tool to help us with our breath work and he is giving a 25% discount to you the listener using the discount word podcast25 at checkout! Check it out at breathwork.io

Incredible what the last two years have been. I believe they have given us a great opportunity to stop and think in our health, the health of our communities and even the health of the world, from a different perspective. I don’t know if there has been a more important time to get this out there in a way where we can come together virtually (and eventually in person), to learn how to make health a journey of everyday decisions so that we won’t need to fear what may come next.

I invite you now to join as a founding member.

Let the fun begin! This is very important! We need to as a beacon of health and now is the time! if you want to be part of this new and better way to live all you have to do is send an email to benpagedc@gmail.com or send me a Direct message on Instagram @benpagedc with the words “Yes, I want to be a founding member.” That is the first step.

There is a limited capacity of founders that I will allow in to make the experience epic and I will be closing the doors to this opportunity on Friday the 24th. Share this, this is how we are going to change the tide of sickness and loss of freedom to thriving health and freedom.

Now is the time. The future is empowering self healing! Be part of it! Don’t miss this opportunity! I can’t wait to get to know each of you more personally. Talk to you soon!

This episode is awesome! Ali is my guest today and she has been on a journey of healing that is just incredible and you get to hear all about it.

We all have our traumas, some self inflicted and others not. What is most important is that we have to work through them, all of them. We have to detoxify and the pharmaceutical companies are just legal drugs that must be detoxified in one way or the other.

Ali went from to doctor to doctor hearing the same thing with no answers until one doctor helped her realize who she was and the potential she had to heal and then to thrive as a human being.

Ali went through so much that she is now able to help so many others with her story of healing and now thriving. She finishes the conversation with 2 specific ways to take this journey called life and make it the best personal journey possible.

Unfortunately Ali was just erased from Instagram for the 5th time, I believe so the Instagram she shared on the show is not available. What you can do if you have telegram is follow her there.

I have been on the barefoot journey for about a year now. I have pretty much been barefoot only putting on shoes when I leave the house. It is a journey that will change your life for the better. There are so many benefits to it. I have written about it in my book playing in the Dirt.

I know my feet are stronger and more stable and that I walk better when I am barefoot. However that is just the tip of the iceberg of what going barefoot does for us. I recommend we all live as barefoot as possible. On the latest episode I got the privilege to talk to JC where we talked all foot health and why it is so important to be barefoot.

He also gave some great exercises that you can start today to bring back the natural movement in your feet and ankles. Stay active and we will stay strong!

Share this the more barefoot we are the healthier we will be!

I really enjoyed chatting with James. You are going to enjoy this one. Physical health depends basically on two lifestyles, what we eat and how we move. Today our focus is how we must move.

Of course we have to live in a way where we focus not only on physical health but mental and spiritual health but on this episode my guest and I are focusing on something that interests me more and more and I find more and more important - movement and not just movement but movement against weight.

James has a ton of experience with natural movements with weights and he explains in todays episode not only the reason why we need to be moving against weight but how we should be moving against weight.

The stronger we are the better off we will be in every aspect of our life. What James helps you achieve is that. The strength you need with the proper about of flexibility to be able to move as we should move.

Not going to want to miss this episode! Share it far and wide. Most of us have been taught wrong about movement, including me at times and it is now time to learn how we should be moving.

This was a unique experience. I really enjoyed having Ryan on, different from what you are used to listening to. It wasn’t just a a conversation about health and wellness but how to better walk through this journey called life that is becoming more and more complicated.

A really interesting way of how we should be seeing the world and realize that most people are just out there for their own interests, which isn’t bad but what we need to do is make sure we are looking for the people that are also going to help us move forward and it isn’t our job to change others and when we try it is just arrogance and ego.

We talked about why we should be questioning everything. It is so important that we question who we are and what we are doing and what we believe and not get into the rut of life. If we question everything there are two things we are going to figure out and both are positive.

We talked about the importance of integrity and how we must shrink the integrity gap, how to build confidence and many other great ways to be better and when we are better our health will follow suit.

Ryan finishes off by giving a way we can change our day for the better today, something simple - the after action review. I had a blast talking with Ryan, you are not going to want to miss this episode! Enjoy!

I have been asking you what you would like me to talk about and I got asked how do I keep my spinal movement. What an awesome question! The spine is so important, it is what is protecting our spinal cord, in other words our lives. Organ function and movement are just 2 of the things that is controlled through the nerve impulses that pass through the spinal cord. With out a healthy spine and most importantly healthy joints of the spine those nerve impulses coming and going aren’t as effective.

We are mechanical, of course we are biomechanical, we are alive but we are no different from all mechanical devices. The origin of wear and tear is at the origin of movement. Our joints are what start to wear out because they are the origin of where movement is. Yes we have muscles that cause the movement in the joints but the joint is where movement is. movement is incredibly important to our spinal health and our overall health.

Spinal health all comes down to movement, natural movements at end ranges. Natural meaning movements that are used to do normal activities of daily living.

Our bodies adapt to the movements and positions we place them in. We have to move a lot more. We can’t expect to be healthy by working out an hour a day but live behind a desk for 8 to 10 hours. We have to move more often and at end ranges. Those end ranges will slowly come back, don’t rush them, most of us have lost our end ranges not only in our spines but in most of our joints. Start by just trying to get into the natural resting position completely squatting with both feet planted on the ground.

On today’s episode I talk about how I maintain the health of my spinal joints, I talk about.

  • The stretches I do and when I do them and how to make them habit
  • The movements I include in my routine and how often we should be moving
  • The types of movements I include against weight to strengthen
  • The importance of movements at end range of motion.

I had an experience this last weekend that really made me think about the word empathy and how we show it to those around us.

As humans I believe we cannot know or feel what another is going through just by being there for them. We all have distinct lives, the way we view life comes from so many different histories, upbringings and experiences that we each see the world in a very distinct way.

To know and be able to understand the feelings of what one is going through the person must have gone through the same experience or something very similar. For example, losing a loved one too suicide. Only someone that has experienced it in their life can know and feel what it is like. A person showing empathy in this situation that has not gone through it themselves can only be 100% present in the moment. That is it, just listen and be there because we just can’t understand what they are going though because we haven’t experienced it. The one that has experienced it does know and not only shows empathy but understands and builds a different bond with that person because of it.

We don’t have to understand, know and feel what others feel to be empathetic because on most occasions we won’t understand, know or feel what the other is going through. What we can do is be present with them and listen without judgement, without trying to make the situation less than it is or giving solutions.

The first step too empathy is to learn to be 100% present when in company with others.

Leave a comment with your thoughts, I hope to learn as much from you as possible.

I am reading an excellent book called The Economics and Ethics of Private Property by Hans-Herman Hoppe. A great book on how private property is at the base of our freedoms. The State does not want private property and the less there is the less freedoms to build the lives we want. As I see freedoms being eroded now pretty much on a daily base this has really hit me hard.

Our agency to choose is so important. I believe it to be the second most important gift we have received from a loving father in heaven the first being our temple, our bodies.

Without the ability to choose we cannot grow and learn, but we must remember that agency comes with it consequences. I believe it to be a right, I also believe it to be a responsibility, and the results of our lives will be made with our agency to choose. Some decisions won’t make a big difference but there are others that will change the course of your lives.

To choose, we need the knowledge to make the best decision for ourselves and our families, this only comes from personal study. We cannot passively learn, we cannot wait for the media or the politician to give us the correct information to be able to make the best choice for ourselves and our families.

As our freedoms continue to erode in all aspects of life, one being what I talk about, our health freedom, it will become more and more difficult to be healthy. To be healthy we cannot just listen to the “expert.” We have to take the time to study and learn. We can't trust the experts or even history because what they say and what has been said is said with an agenda. We have to study things out in our own mind and talk about these things with our families gathered around the table.

We have to stand up and not be afraid to have the tough conversations anymore, the ones that will build us. Freedom is of utmost importance and we are giving it away.

We have to fight for our freedom to choose, our health depends on it.

Life has a way of being very tiring and unsatisfactory, it is usually due to two lifestyles. One, where we go at it too hard and burn out and another where we only go half in causing a lot of wasted time and sedentary living. Both lives are very tiring and result in feeling emotionally sick.

The only way to live a life of satisfaction physically and emotionally is by just doing the best you can everyday. Being content with your best. This episode is the conclusion of a 4 episode series of how we can make our emotional well-being simple.

Don’t get confused with simple and easy. All good things come with discomfort, time, practice and failure. That is what makes this agreement we must make with ourselves so important. We will not be perfect but we can do our best. That will be different with every situation we find ourselves in. All you can ask from yourself is your best, nothing more and nothing less.

This is the agreement that brings it all together. The first agreement That Dr. Ruiz talks about is to be flawless in our words, he then goes on to not taking anything personally and finally not assuming. If we do our best in putting into practice the first 3 agreements our mental well-being will became unbreakable and if we do our best we will be content with our life. We won’t judge ourselves and naturally punish ourselves because of the guilty verdict our internal judge will declare.

Our mental well-being can be made simple, if we live these 4 agreements we will heal trauma, generational trauma, our own trauma. Our words won’t hurt and those thrown at us neither. We will be strong we won’t get knocked down, we will get hit but we will just keep pushing forward content with who we are and what we are accomplishing. This life is waiting for you all you have to do is make a pact to yourself that you will live the 4 agreements to the best of your ability.

With practice, practice and practice they will become second nature and you will be free, you will be well mentally and emotionally.

Please share this episode to all those that you know could get something from it, this is how we grow and if you haven’t yet leave a review on iTunes, I read all of them.

We live assuming things about others and life in general, this only causes unnecessary suffering and heartache.

All the sadness and drama you have experienced has its roots in the assumptions you made and the things that you took personally. Dr. Miguel Ruiz asks us to take a moment and think about the truth of that affirmation. Take sometime today, write this down and take time today and really ponder on what Dr. Ruiz said.

Last night I had a little episode of making wrong assumptions. I was downstairs cooking and pretty tired of the moment and everything else that was going on and my daughter comes down with the cat in her arms all happy ready to give him food. I turn around and see her, me, being already irritated I assume she is downstairs with the cat because she doesn’t want to be in the zoom class she is supposed to be participating in. I open up my mouth and make an unnecessary drama out of nothing by saying that she is downstairs because she doesn’t want to be in the class.

What I should have done was ask her what she was doing and she would have answered me with what she answered me later on that night saddened by the unnecessary drama I made.

Imagine what your life would be like when you reach the day where you don’t assume things about your significant other and as time goes on every other person that you meet or know. The way you talk to yourself will change dramatically and your relationships won’t suffer from unnecessary conflicts that are only created because of wrong assumptions.

Just like I made a conscious effort to understand how I assumed my daughter was doing something she shouldn’t be doing and being totally wrong, we all have to start and make a conscious effort. This is tiring at first and will take a lot of effort but as we plant the seed and continue to nurture it, it will become easier and easier to see and feel when we take something personal or assume something that really isn’t or say something that wasn’t worth saying. These things become habit only through repetition, conscious repetition.

I had the awesome opportunity to bring on the show Graham Wardle. Graham is a Canadian actor who is a great advocate for health freedom.

Our health is at the base of everything, without health we can’t serve ourselves and less those around us.

I have been saying for a while that at least 90% of our decisions should be make with our health in mind. There is that small amount where we take into account the quality of life but over all health should be the major factor in the decisions we make daily.

Why? Because our health is not one decision or 2 it is a journey that lasts until we leave this beautiful ball called Earth.

To be able to decide, first we need the freedom to choose in everything we do and what our children do. Freedom to choose how we will treat our temple, our body is the strong foundation of all health. We must have this foundation to further build a wonderful mansion of health that won’t crack and brake with the slightest wind or shake of the Earth.

Today it is extremely important seeing all those that are metabolically sick falling severely ill to a virus with a 99.7% survival rate. We have to educate ourselves and then make the best decision for ourselves and we can only do that with freedom of knowledge and then the freedom to choose.

Don’t miss this episode! This is an episode that needs to be shared with all those that you care for, this is just too important not to. Share this and follow Graham as he continues to try and help get the other side of the story told.

One of the reasons I love to be in nature and work in the garden, remember the garden is an edge of nature, is because of all the movements and positions that I can put myself into. Those movements and positions keep my body flexible and strong.

I can shovel hundreds or even thousands of pounds of dirt in a couple of hours or I can squat all the way down and poke little holes in the ground planting seeds and all these movements and positions keep me strong and flexible.

Don’t miss this episode with Patrick Hogan where we get into what is natural movement and why it is so important for our health and well-being.

One of the nuggets of knowledge I got was that our bodies adapt to the positions we place them, the more we are in certain positions that are not natural the more our body has to adapt to them eventually causing as imbalance in muscle tone. This bit of knowledge is so important. I talk about this at a cellular level but it never dawned on me that the positions we place ourselves the majority of the time also causes stress and eventually illness.

What positions are you in most of the day?

Enjoy this episode and share it because this stuff is just too important not to.

Here is episode 2 of a four episode series about how we can simplify our internal well-being, really make us bulletproof to words and acts of others. Most of our suffering is done before the actual suffering and by the time the actual suffering comes it isn’t even close to what we imagined.

If you haven’t listened to the first episode of this series go and listen to episode 240 first where we talk about the first understanding which is be flawless in your words, the reason that episode is so important is because the other 3 understandings go hand in hand with being flawless with your words.

The second understanding is don’t take anything personal. This one has been one of the harder understandings for me to live by. But if we can master this understanding we become immune to any unkind word thrown at us even if it is a personal insult.

This episode will show you why we shouldn’t take anything personal even if the person is in front of us yelling insults straight at us. Nothing that people say is directly related to us. Not going to want to miss this episode to find out how!

As I always say, this is a journey, we won’t stop taking things personally overnight. Our health is a journey our mental well-being is a journey and all journeys have their rocks in the road but as we continue to become used to not taking things personally we won’t put our trust in what others say or do. We will trust ourselves enough to make responsible decisions. We are never responsible for the acts of others, we are only responsible for our thoughts, acts and decisions.

I have been on a journey of trying to make my health as simple as possible in the circumstances I am living. As I learn I will share with you how I am trying and of course failing but the most important part, getting back up and getting back in the fight.

Make things simple, This is the foundation to a healthy body, soul and spirit. There are 4 thought processes that if we learn, relearn and learn again we can highly improve our emotional and mental well-being. In the next 4 solo episodes I will be talking about these 4 thought processes using a book that is called Los Cuatro Acuerdos, un libro de sabiduría Tolteca by Dr. Miguel Ruiz. There is a translated version called The 4 agreements.

The first understanding that we must embrace and the most important is be flawless in our words.

Why our words? What makes our words so important? Our words are what gives us the power to create. Our intentions are manifested by our words. Our words reveal our dreams, what we feel and who we truly are.

Our words are a strength, a power to express what we think and then create the events in our lives.

Words are like a double bladed sword though, proper use of words can create heaven on earth. The improper use of words create a nightmare. The way we use words will make us slaves or free us.

We can say that words are like spells and we are all wizards or magicians. We can be good magicians and work with white magic or bad magicians and work with black magic. With our words we can cast spells or break spells.

We cast spells with our opinions. Throughout our entire lives people have been giving us their opinions, they have been casting spells with their words.

You are dirty, you are not a good father, you are dumb, you are stupid, you are ugly, you are beautiful, you are smart, you are clean, you are a good father, these are all opinions some are white magic and will brake spells and others black magic casting spells.

Words catch our attention they enter our mind and they can change for good or bad our belief systems how we see ourselves and the world around us.

That is why being flawless with our words is so important. We change our belief systems with words and then help others break theirs when we are flawless with our words.

Don’t miss this episode as I dive deeper into this important concept.

This has been a long time coming. I have been wanting to do a solo episode since the beginning of the year, 4 months later, man time flies.

Time is so precious and for most we don’t realize how fast it goes until it is gone. We never get time back. We are in an other year but most important we are in a new day. That is what is most important, measure your life and the progress you make in days, are you just slightly better than yesterday.

There is a great meme out there that shows a family walking without face masks among many people wearing face masks and one kid says to his dad. “Dad, are they scared to die” and the dad says, “no, son they are afraid to live.”

We get one chance at this life full of mistakes, forgive, ask for forgiveness as soon as possible, love all and especially those close to you. Let them know. lets make the best of the time we have here. Don’t let a marketing campaign of fear of something that has a 99.7% survival rate not let you make the most of every moment.

The only way to beat fear is through knowledge. With the knowledge we can make a logical conclusion based on what we know and most importantly how we feel about the situation. With knowledge we can take responsibility for our lives and have the courage to make the decisions we need to make concerning our health and path in life. There are also people to help us on the path and I recommend them.

Seek these good people, hopefully you consider me as one of those people that can be a guide for those looking, but the decision that will be made needs to be made by the person, the person must take responsibility, this is so important in every aspect of life but especially in health.

These are my thoughts on getting the covid 19 shot, first, don’t call it a vaccine because it is not one, call it a shot, an injection, a jab, but not a vaccine.

I recommend that you stay as far away from it as possible, don’t inject yourself with something that you have no idea what it will do to you now, and in the future. Don’t do it because you are strong enough to get through it in the first place, 99,7% of people will get over it and the .3% that die almost all have lived a wonderful life beyond their own life expectantly. We all die at some point, covid is probably the last thing that will kill you, and if you know someone that died from covid 19 and not some comorbidity or other intervention I am so sorry for you, I truly am, just as I am truly sorry for anyone that loses a loved one to cancer, car accidents, pneumonia, stoke, obesity, metabolic disease, age, suicide and every other possible way people leave this beautiful ball called Earth.

Ever since I started this podcast, now over 5 years ago one of my main goals was to help people return to their ancestral roots because our ancestors are the best example we have of health and well-being.

Since biblical times and even before our ancestors hunted and ate meats and fats of every kind, they also gardened and grew their own food and foraged when needed.

Gardening was a normal practice of our ancestors, Jeremiah the Prophet who lived over 2600 years ago said "Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them…” Jeremiah 29:5

What is so beautiful about hunting and gardening is that it is so much more than just providing proper nutrition to our ecosystem of cells. The more I learn the more I realize that the garden is more of a physiological healer where we go to be present and enjoy the moment surrounded by beauty.

That doesn’t mean there will be hard times in the garden, that is the only way we grow but there are ways and tricks to make the hard times a little easier and that is where my guest comes in. Jon wrote about how we can make gardening just a little more easier with over 300 ideas.

His new book Garden Hacks 300+ time and money saving hacks is full of ways to make gardening just a little easier.

Health is a lifestyle and with each and everyone of us being different that means our journey to health with be just slightly different.

There are some core things that must be part of who we are to be healthy and well but how we get there is unique and special to everybody. We can’t put everybody into the cookie cutter and expect the same results we just don’t work that way.

Ryan has a great way of explaining it and that is why I am excited to say that he is the latest guest on The Wellness Farmer podcast

Check out his instagram at @livevitae where he breaks down health into simple lifestyles. Health is supposed to be simple lets not complicate it.

Get enough rest at the right time, move enough, eat nutrient dense food based mostly in meats, surround yourself with good people, take care of your spine and be who you are: a powerful Being that heals and builds itself. Don’t talk to yourself in any other way.

For over a year now the world has been in constant fear of something so benign that it has a survival rate of over 99.7%. How is that even possible? Because fear is all the media talks about. On today’s episode we take that fear and turn it upside down.

We have nothing to fear, even those people that are instilling the fear. We are strong. As human beings we are capable. But that is not enough we also need to be able to chose for ourselves, and to choose we need at least two views of a situation. Well we haven’t been given a second view unless we looked real hard for it.

That is why this episode is so important, it is a second view of what is going on in the world. Listen and then make your decision on how you will continue but at least you get to make the choice of how you will proceed knowing both sides.

Freedom is of the utmost importance. Without options there is no freedom. To be able to choose how we will take care of our bodies is fundamental. Probably the most important aspect of health. Without the choice there is no freedom.

On today’s episode I chat with @themalchemist about a second opinion of what has been going on over the last year.

Enjoy and share this is so important!!

I love chatting with people about how the garden has helped them. I wrote Playing in the Dirt because it helped me and I just knew there were so many people that it could help, just like me.

I was going through some tough times emotionally, feelings of worthlessness, anger and sadness, it even got to the point of loss of hope. Enjoying nature for about 15 minutes a day at first was the push I needed to take the first step back.

Sunny the farmer also had to push forward after a hard time and in todays episode he talks about how the garden helped him and how it continues to help him take one step forward at a time.

One natural way to feel better is to play in the Dirt. Thanks for coming on the show, I appreciate your honesty and your willingness to share your story with me and the world.

Adrian is my guest this week and what a conversation we had!

We talked about his journey from Leaving Romania as a refugee and living in refugee camps for over 2 years to what he is doing now. Providing nutrient dense dairy to many people through grass fed Guernsey cows.

What a journey and how joyful it was to hear all about it.

As he states he is not raising cows he is building soil and by doing that the cows raise themselves in a healthy way.

There were a lot of gems in this episode and one that I really enjoyed what the A2 gene in dairy cows. Adrian explained what it is and why it is so important to those that drink milk.

Ron is an overall really good guy. He decided early in life how he was going to live and stuck to it, and really made a beautiful life for himself and his wife.

Ron has built from the bottom up 2 homesteads completely off grid, he is now on his third at the lovely age of 64. Ron is an example of what we are capable of doing even as we age.

He has lived a life full of wonderful effort as he likes to call it. He doesn’t work he puts forth effort and lives a life of freedom. It is simple but it surely isn’t easy but as he says well worth it.

Listen to Ron explain how he decided at an early age to make healthy lifestyle choices, what those lifestyle choices are and because of those choices has been able to continue to put forth effort and enjoy every day now in his 60’s.

Thanks for coming on the show Ron and teaching me.

Different emotions have different frequencies that radiate from us. Those frequencies not only effect us but also effect those around us. If you have a whole community full of fear or a nation or what we see today with the COVID-19 fiasco a whole world radiating a common frequency like fear it becomes very difficult to progress. When one feels fear the creativity and problem solving capacity goes way down.

The wonderful part is that the opposite also happens If as a world we drop this fake fear and become content with what we have our frequencies will be felt by those around us influencing them to also tune into the same frequency. With this frequency we evoke creativity and problem solving becomes much easier and we progress as individuals and as a whole.

Choose contentment and radiate the high frequencies so we can return to who we are - creative individuals with so much potential. Don’t let the media scare you anymore!

I am stoked to have Alec Zeck as my guest on the podcast. 2020 has been a chaotic year due to a fake pandemic that has been forced on the inhabitants of the world with fear and ridicule or straight out censorship when one does not follow the crowd.

Alec comes on the show to share his perspective of modern medicine and the situation we see ourselves in today. Just an awesome show! Thanks Alec for coming on the show.

Alec Zeck is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he received a degree in Systems Engineering. He advocates for medical freedom, promotes free and independent thought, unity through spirituality, and natural health. He writes about free will, the Law of One, living a healthy life outside of western medicine, balancing mind/body/spirit, childhood trauma healing, and identifying and mitigating the effects of oppressive corporate and government systems.

Alex and his siblings grew up in a very chaotic and abusive household where he was physically, emotionally and verbally abused. He had very little self-worth, so he learned to externalize in order to feel. Being in a military environment with a rigorous academic schedule, gave him the critical thinking skills, discipline, structure and time management skills that he needed, but he hadn’t yet healed his trauma and learned to find peace within.

After graduating, multiple traumatic events transpired that forced him to turn inward and heal his childhood trauma, and by chance, he discovered the Law of One. All of this happening in such a short timeframe led him down a rabbit hole of questioning and relearning everything he had been taught to accept, particularly government, health, medicine, politics, free will and the nature of reality, to name a few. Through his writing he encouraged others to think beyond what is fed to them.

The earth has a natural electrical charge. Chapter 6 of Playing in the Dirt explains how that charge when we are in direct contact with it, protects, builds, and heals us.

By the end of chapter 6 your shoes and socks will be off and you will be outside barefoot enjoying the effects of the natural negative charge of the earth.

On the latest episode, I talk about one of my favorite things, playing in the dirt. I am almost done with the first draft of my second book and there is so much to learn. It is so exciting to learn how soil, how the Earth not only heals us put maintains us.

Today I talk about something that just didn’t make it into the book but is still super important. I talk about two studies that were done, one was published. These studies showed the effects of soil on the flow of our blood. I think this will surprise you. Just another great reason to get out there and play in the dirt. Awesome!

On the latest episode I talk about some stuff I am reading in a book by Mark Manson.

There are things we know we should be doing but for some reason don’t do them. For example exercise, for some reason we always make up an excuse not to do it, but why? If we know we need to exercise why do we not do it 3-5 times a week. Well, today I give you a reason a little more deep than just making excuses why we might not be doing the things that we know we should be doing. Great stuff!

To read more about the subject check out Mark Manson’s book here.

On today's episode I talk about something that has helped me so much. You will get to read all about it in my new book coming out. But I would like to talk about it briefly today.

I talk about gardening and how it is more than just nutrient dense food on your plate after the harvest, but the whole process is therapeutic, from preparing the soil, planting the seeds and finally eating the harvested fruit. Want to know why and how well todays episode talks about just that. My book will go into a lot more detail about this stuff. If you like this stuff and would like to be the first one to get news about the new book send me an email and let me know.

I really hope you enjoy this one because this stuff is just plain awesome and I think vitally important to who we are as humans. Enjoy!

On today's episode, I take on a subject that is somewhat new in today’s society, well at least it didn’t exist when I was a kid.

Screens and the internet are all over the place. There are very few places in the world where we cannot get internet. Most people think that is a good thing.

I used a screen to record this episode and am using the internet to share it with you today. It has its place and it is important but today I talk about some of the unintended consequences of screens and the internet.

I sure hope you stay for the whole episode because this stuff is just way to important for all of us.

I also ask some questions in the episode and I hope you can take the time to answer them because I want this episode to become a constructive conversation on how we can come together and be better with the use of screens and the internet to improve our health and our relationships.

Here are the questions:

Is the internet making things better or making things worse?

If I am using a platform (the internet) that is causing so much damage to our health and relationships where my focus is on health and the importance of community why would I continue to use a platform that is directly related to so much suffering in health and relationships?

What are your thoughts on the subject?

On today's episode I talk about a couple of ways that I am able to reduce stress. One will be pretty obvious but the others not so much.

Let me know how to you reduce stress because there are many ways to do it and I only give four ways in todays episode. Also there are other things I would love to return to do to help reduce stress but with where I am at geographically it makes it more difficult.

The reason I talk about this today is because yesterday, which was the 24th of April I was able to do one of the things that help me be grounded. What brings me back to the reality of yes I can. For many, what I am doing today would not be the stress reducer that it is for me.

That is what I love about health, yes, it is simple, there are certain things that we must do but there are many way to accomplish them. The best and easiest way to become healthy is making it as individual as possible.

On today's episode, I talk about decisions and a way to help us make them.

When you hear it, it might sound a little awkward, maybe even backwards but all I ask is that you give it a try and see what happens.

I talk about this because I am trying to come to a decision and it has not been easy due to my other obligations. I need to stay more focused, how can I stay focused if I have to many things going on? Truly, I would love to focus on just one thing. Well enough about me, enjoy the episode!

On the latest episode I bring you an interview, which I haven’t done for a while with John Vespasian, he just published a new book and on today’s episode he talks all about it. On the latest episode, I take a couple of experiences I am going through right at the moment that can make me a better person, if I allow it.

We all go through moments of suffering and they all feel the same, some on the outside might look worse than others but to the person going through it, it is tuff.

In those times is when we are in a perfect position to become better but we need to be willing to take advantage of the opportunity and not let the opportunity take advantage of us.

Hopefully this resonates with some of you out there. Stay awesome everybody and I hope you enjoy this one!

On today's episode, I use my little urban garden as an example. One of the constants in life are it’s obstacles or the stumbling blocks but really they don’t have to be stumbling blocks. The stumbling blocks can and need to be the way to a better life a more healthy life.

My little urban garden can teach us how our obstacles can actually be the way to a more healthy and overall better life experience. Through my urban garden I explain how we can turn today’s stumbling blocks into a better and more healthy tomorrow!!

On today's episode, I talk about what keeps most of us from reaching our potential in almost all aspects of life, health being one of them. Fear! I also talk about a way we can begin to conquer fear. We all go through it. I go through it, but most fears are not what they really seem.

The great quote by Ryan Holiday in his book The Obstacle Is the Way is spot on - Fear is debilitating, distracting, tiring, and often irrational.

Fear is so many times irrational, most fears are of things that might happen but really never do.

I finish off this episode of course talking about how playing in the dirt can help us overcome our fears.

On today's episode I am not talking about the wonderful world of soil and growing your own food. Even though my main focus is on growing your own food there are other aspects of health that are also extremely important. Every 6 months you can say I get an infusion of energy and today I talk about some of the things I listened to over the weekend.

There is a part of life that everybody experiences many times throughout life. We can’t avoid it and if not resolved can cause us so much unnecessary pain that effects our health is so many ways. The majority of our suffering can be completely avoided.

I take on a topic that can be tuff but it is extremely important to our health. I talk about how a lot of our suffering is unnecessary and ways we can avoid it.

As the great stoic philosopher Senaca said “He suffers more than necessary, who suffers before it is necessary”

On today's episode I talk about the things that we are putting off are almost always the things that we should be doing now and how we can start doing them today.

This has so much to do with your health, we have to put our health where it should be, front and center. There are things we know we need to be doing to fully take advantage of our short time we have here on earth. Without health the rest just can’t happen.

Throughout the episode I give a couple of suggestions on how we can do the things that we know we need to do but just keep putting them off.

On the newest episode I talk about another of the “why’s” we should be growing our own food. I usually talk about the importance of growing your own food as a way to give our ecosystems of cells the nutrients they need in the exact amount that they need at the exact time without having to worry about it.

There is more to it than just that and it truly all comes back to your health, the health of your family and your community! Enjoy!

This episode was fun to record. I talk about 2 topics that are very important to me and hopefully you can feel it throughout the episode. I would appreciate your feedback. What we eat is so important that I basically focus this whole podcast on just that! Of course our health is more than just what we eat and I do talk about that stuff every once in a while but what we eat can be and is for so many people one of the worst stressors that is put on their ecosystems of cells called the human body.

If it is so important for us to eat nutrient dense food, grown on fertile soil without chemicals as established ecosystems, how much more important is what young children a toddlers eat as ecosystems that are developing? I will just say it, it is so much more important!

How should we be feeding our children? I think this is probably one of the most important questions we should be asking ourselves regarding the health of our children. Not the only question but one of them. This is the question I take on on todays episode.

Share this far and wide and most importantly enjoy!!!

Alright, first things first, I know that this podcast focuses on ways to grow your own food so we can be as healthy as possible but the fact of the matter is that health is a lot more than just consuming chemical free foods grown on fertile soil in the freshest way possible.

So I will also be taking on other subjects every once in a while, first off, answering your questions that you send me and secondly what I see affecting so many people and a lot of the times even me, like in today’s episode. Hopefully you enjoy this episode and most importantly take something out of it and apply it to your lives today!

I have been studying happiness because what I am seeing more and more is that the internal battle is what makes us so unhealthy. We are seeing a lot more disease because of our unhealthy internal situation.

There is a great book that I just got done reading that is called “Solve for Happy” by Mo Gawdat. It is a great read where he explains how each and everyone of us can return to happiness.

Mo asks in his book: Why should something so basic be so hard to find?

Happiness, something so basic but so hard to find, interesting! well that is today’s topic enjoy and share!

On today's episode I discuss 5 of the many herbs that we should have in our garden big or small. Many of us will only be able to grow herbs at first because of space but it is a great start!

The five herbs are:

  • Basil
  • Chives
  • Cilantro
  • Lemon Balm
  • Thyme

Listen to todays episode to not only hear the why they are so important to our health but also to the health of our garden, big or small.

On the latest episode, I discuss why I believe the permaculture lifestyle is a great way to help you feel your best. I am only sharing a very small portion of why I feel this. I can and probably will talk about this topic more, of course if you like this stuff. Let me know by talking to me. Let me know what you think.

In the words of Bill Mollison:

“Permaculture is used to empower the powerless and create “a million villages” to replace nation-states is the only safe future for the preservation of the biosphere. Let interdependence and personal responsibility be our aims.”

If we want to find health, if we want to be healthy we have to have a healthy biosphere. Our journey to health begins as we build and heal the ecosystem we are an integral part of, not in control of but an integral part of. Permaculture brings all the tools into one tool bag to do just that.

This is where this podcast is going to take you. Not just more mental and physical energy and better health but a more healthy ecosystem where we work at becoming more interdependent on each other, not any state and take personal responsibility for ourselves and our families.

I am going to be giving a free class to a very limited number of people focusing on the questions about health from the small group. Don’t miss this opportunity for free knowledge catered to your needs.

On todays episode I get into something that is beyond important in our health. Nutrient dense food. All the pillars are important but this pillar has become more and more important over the years. Luckily we are seeing an increase in people living more like their ancestors but we still have a long way to go, me included. I am looking for ways to grow more nutrient dense food and find people that are also doing it and work with them.

Today I talk about example of how I am looking for ways to grow more of my own food.

I also talk about a way we can work more with nature so we can grow more food for ourselves and our families

Most of us have something that we like a lot. As most of you that listen know I love helping people and I love growing food.

However today I talk about something else that I like and has been a part of my life for over 25 years. Today you are going to get to know a little more about the person behind the mic and it couldn’t be a better time to talk about it.

We all need some time to get away, we need this time just as much as we need time to work. Of course hard work is what truly pays off but we cannot constantly work hard we need some rest time not only physical rest but rest.

To find our true health we must get away, some people take that literally and go away for some time. I don’t have to go away but there is something that gets me excited and as I talk about that today I hope it opens up your mind and helps you remember what gets you excited also. As we work and grow we also need some rest and repair.

I am going to be giving a free class to a very limited number of people focusing on the questions about health from the small group. Don’t miss this opportunity for free knowledge catered to your needs.

On the latest episode I talk about one of the things that I love about health. Regenerative agriculture!

I am taking it just one step further and calling it regenerative culture. We need to return to who we are as human beings. We are part of this ecosystem called earth were we must work with it to find health in our own lives. There is no way around that.

We cannot use today’s invocations to try and fake ourselves to health. If you want to be truly healthy you have to return to the soil. It is now our job to bring that soil back to life so we can find health.

I am continuing this journey and now I am going to be recording it more and more and I want you to help me and be part of this journey. Lets do this together.

Today I talk about what regenerative agriculture means to me and why it is so important to our health.

It feels great to be back behind the mic!

On today’s episode I give an overview of what I was able to accomplish with my summer garden where I am living right now.

I am now preparing for my fall garden however today I share my ups and downs in my spring and summer garden. hopefully all you listening in the northern hemisphere can take what I was able to accomplish and use that knowledge now for your summer garden and most importantly learn from my mistakes during this last summer season and make your garden that much better.

The podcast is going to be making a slight change over the next couple of months. I love helping people feel better and I also love regenerative agriculture however I haven’t focused enough time on regenerative agriculture. A major part of healing comes from a healthy soil. I plan on focusing a lot more on health and regenerative agriculture on the podcast. After all we are called the wellness farmer podcast. Changing things up, which is a good thing. Spread the word and lets heal ourselves by healing the land.

On todays episode I talk about outside in instead of inside out. If you have listened to this podcast for a while you know that I always talk about how true health is found from the inside out. Your body heals itself.

There are few things on the outside that can help in the healing process. Today I will talk about one.

This show happens to fall exactly on my birthday, March 8 a couple years ago I was born. So on my birthday I challenge you to listen and also begin to implement in your lives what I talk about in todays episode. You will be healthier if you do!

On todays episode, I talk about 2 articles that I read over the weekend that I thought to be very interesting. One about the addiction to social media and how adults are just as addicted as adolescents and an article about a way we can break the social media addiction through communities, no not virtual communities but actual communities.

Very interesting how I came across these 2 articles at about the same time.

We need to be building community. If you would like to know how to build community let me know in the show notes so I can discuss it in future episodes.

We also need to be less time in front of screens not just social media but screens over all. Bring back good old fashioned books, sketching, paper and pencil. Of course we have technology so lets us it to our advantage but lets use less of it and build some real communities.

On todays episode I talk about where true health comes from. The basics. I have been thinking more about this topic because I just released my book “The 4 Pillares of Health,” in Spanish, it has been a long year in the making but finally it is out. If you have any friends or if you would like to read it in Spanish the digital version is free today!

If we cover the basics our incredible ecosystem of cells does the rest, it does the hard part, the part we could never do and for some reason we try to do it. Focus on the basics, thats it, health is that simple, not easy to implement at first but simple. Don’t complicate it. Apply the basics now and say “no” to yourself, there is no going back. Burn the bridges to old belief systems.

What are the basics:

  • Eat nutrient dense food grown on fertile soil without chemicals
  • Give your body adequate movement and rest
  • Treat yourself with natural internal dialogue
  • get profesional help on this journey with chiropractic care

Enjoy and here is a link to the book in Spanish.

On todays episode I talk about the why I do what I do. The end result of what I am trying to achieve. It can be simplified to one word, freedom. I am looking to be as free as possible in every aspect of life, from physical freedom to freedom of where I want to live to economical freedom and everything in between.

Freedom is found with obedience to natural laws and discipline. As we discipline ourselves and obey natural laws we will see more and more opportunities to progress in life and in health. We will never reach true health without discipline and obedience to natural laws.

I am reading a book that I am recommending called Discipline equals Freedom by Jocko Willink. In today’s episode I quote some of Jocko’s words. Check out Jocko's book by clicking here.

On todays episode I have the privilege to bring you a conversation I had with Josh Tickell, author of the book Kiss the Ground. I have been following Josh and his work around Kiss the Ground for some time now and I am honored to be able to bring him on the show and talk about his book.

A lot of people are now starting to recognize that our current food system model is not sustainable and that we must to something. Josh’s book gives the answer. The answer is found in 2 words - regenerative agriculture.

We must be agriculturists not miners. We need to continue to build up the biodiversity in the earth instead of only mine the minerals and vitamins in the earth.

We had a great conversation about how agriculture has got to where it is today. A neat history lesson about agriculture and the chemical companies. What we need to do now is take that history, learn from it so we can build a bright future where we are eating beyond organic food that is highly nutritious. Awesome conversation that you will enjoy!

On todays episode I talk about a way to help us speak to ourselves in a natural manner. Natural internal dialogue is one of the 4 pillars of health and is very important.

Negative self talk and negative talk towards others is a toxin that must be avoided. I have learned that the routine helps me speak in a more natural manner to myself and when I talk to myself in a natural manner I talk to others in a natural manner.

I have talked about this before but today I talk about how I have changed mine in some ways and how it is still the same.

I have made my routine more of a personal thing. Before I involved drinking Mate with my wife, one of our favorite drinks. Now I consider that just part of being able to life something extraordinary in an ordinary life.

I now have a morning routine and a nighttime routine. I hope this episode gives you some examples and hopefully inspires you to also start a morning routine. If you already have a morning routine, awesome keep it up, it is a great tool to help you be “truly healthy.”

On todays episode, I bring back John Vespasian for the 3rd time. I just love chatting with John because he brings history into what he does. He provides examples of history to help show us the way. We can take that history, learn from it and build a better future and live a beautiful present.

Today we talk about his latest book Sequentiality: The amazing power of finding the right sequence of steps. We talk about the importance of taking the first step and than the next and than the next. This life is about steps and we can only take them one at a time. Not only that but we need to take them in the right order and in his new book he helps us understand just how to do that. Enjoy and share this episode!

You can get his new book here.

On todays episode I talk about one thing that I have experienced in my life. The headache. However on today’s episode I take just a little different perspective on why we may suffer from a headache.

Is the reason we suffer a headache for protection? Do headaches protect us, do they help us heal? Well listen to todays episode where I talk about a study that I read a while back about just that. Interesting and it just reiterates what I have always thought we are naturally beyond intelligent and we as humans will never fully understand the potencial of what I like to call out ecosystem of cells.

I just love learning about who we are on the inside. We are a self-regulating and self-healing ecosystem of trillions of cells programmed for health. Just beautiful!!

Enjoy and don’t forget to send me that song you listen to to get focused.

On todays episode I talk about one mindset that keeps so many back from enjoying each and everyday and how by just making this small change you can improve your day to day life quite a bit.

I give a couple of examples of my own life of how I maintained this mindset and it helped me enjoy my day to day life a lot better. I have also seen the opposite of how people don’t include this mindset in their day to day life and how they have a horrible day and really don’t get anything done.

What I am talking about today is the importance of enjoying the heat or all you in the northern hemisphere enjoy the cold. I didn’t say you have to like the heat or cold but you can enjoy the heat or cold. It is within you! You can because I have!

As Peter Drucker said, “The best way to predict your future is to create it.”

Happy New Year!!!! bring it on 2018. On today’s episode I make it a short one where I talk about ways we can take on 2018 and make it better than last year. The reason I make it a shorter episode today is because I need you to do something for me. Instead of a 20 minute episode I recorded a 10 minute episode so you could take the last 10 minutes and write me.

Write me about what you want me to focus on this year on the wellness farmer podcast.

Do you want me to focus on nutrient dense food or on natural internal dialogue or adequate movement or the importance of chiropractic. Let me know. Take ten minutes and write me. If you are on the computer send me an e-mail at pastosverdesfarm@gmail.com, or on facebook send me a message at pastosverdesfarm or on instragram send me a message to benpagedc or on the podcast blog at http://pastosverdesfarm.libsyn.com, or even send me a voice message at my website www.pastosverdesfarm.com and click on the button on the right that says send voicemail. If you receive the e-mail I send out just reply to it. There are many ways just make sure you take the next 5-10 minutes and write me and let me know what you want me to focus on.
