There so are many people who are hurting in the Church these days and feeling alone in their suffering. Are you one of them?

Well, I'd like to introduce you to a Catholic priest who knows exactly what you're going through. Father Thomas Berg, a priest of the Archdiocese of New York, suffered a profound betrayal by the founder of his former priestly order, one that closely unites him with those suffering because of divorce. He went through many of the same experiences you've been through and wrestled with the same emotions you have wrestled with. He knows what it's like to walk in your shoes, and he's written a book about it titled, Hurting In The Church: A Way Forward For Wounded Catholics.

Father Berg will be a keynote speaker at the Journey of Hope Conference for Divorce Recovery, August 4th - 6th, and was kind enough to record this new podcast with me and share some of his story. It's a powerful conversation, one I know will have an impact on many. I know you will want to come to the conference in August and hear the full story.

Some of the most fascinating people in the world, in my opinion, are Catholic priests. They commit their lives to serving the members of the Church, they take vows of chastity, obedience, and in some cases poverty. They experience the ups and downs of life as we all do; periods of loneliness or frustration, times of happiness and joy, physical illness, periods of doubt and the strength they exhibit through it all is the testimony of a life offered out of love for Christ and others. That is why it was so important to me to have outstanding priests be a part of the Journey of Hope Conference, to be a light and example to those who are suffering through the trials of divorce. Today, I'm pleased to introduce you to one of those priests, Father Jeffrey Kirby.
