With England having bowled Australia out for a relatively low score, and building their lead, what would Australia have in reply and could they win this Ashes series or would England win the game and keep the series to a draw. The first Ashes series draw since 1972.
England finished day 2 on 9-0 in their second innings having bowled Australia out for 225. How did they get on in day 3 of the fifth and final Ashes test at The Oval.
Day 2 of the fifth and final Ashes test at the oval. With England being put in and getting to 270-8 at the end if day 1, how much could they add to their overnight score and how would the Aussies respond. With Steve Smith averaging 177 over 6 innings it'd be an interesting test.
So after Australia retain The Ashes England need to win the 5th and final match at The Oval to keep their record of being unbeaten at home since 2001. On the other hand obviously, Australia will want to win the series. Let's see what happens!
England go out today on 18-2 chasing 383. Looking to bat out the day on a day 5 pitch in what's been a bowler dominated series, can they pull of yet another 2019 miracle?!

So how did day 1 of the fourth Ashes test at Old Trafford play out? The series stands at 1-1 with England needing to win this match to avoid losing the Ashes but Australia not having tasted victory since the first test at Edgebaston, 3 games ago.

After a shocking batting performance by England, Australia like on the pressure despite some great spells from Broad and Woakes and a stunning 14 over spell from Ben Stokes who, had the catches been held, no balls not occurred and a bit of luck, could've taken 5 wickets instead of 2. England 67 all out and Australia 171-6 to add to their 179.
After a patchy first day with Australia battling hard and Englamd bowling well in parts and awfully in others, we look back at the details. Australia make 179. With Jofra taking 6 wickets and Broad 2, could/ should England have done better? Did they take their foot of the throat mid day?

England commenced their second innings and finished the day on 96-4 with Stokes and Buttler at the helm. Will England sail off into the sunset or are their some storms Cummin(s).
