If you grew up in the 90's you've probably watched βI Know What You Did Last Summerβ but you may NOT have heard about the author Lois Duncan. Her daughter is Kaitlyn Arquette and SHE was MURDERED. However, at first her death APPEARED to be a car crash but once investigators starting combing through the evidence it was clear this was far more sinister.
π©π»βπ ABOUT ME: I'm Kimbyrleigha, thanks in advance for reading this. I think it's important to know someone's background and education because it helps frame the way they look at situations and why they may have a particular point of view. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology. I graduated from law school in 2010 and have a Juris Doctor (law degree). I'm also currently in school studying Medicolegal Investigation.
In October 1997, a hunter in Ryan Slough near Eureka, California, discovered a woman's torso floating in the water; then, just a few months later, more body parts belonging to the same woman were found. This gruesome discovery is one of the first clues leading to the Northern California Serial Killer Wayne Adam Ford.
A successful Chicago woman from a big family goes missing without a trace. There were bizarre text messages and weird calls from her phone, but no one knew where she went. This case has twists and turns, it left me confused and scared. It can happen to anyone.
Today I will be taking you back to Fall 2010 when a young couple travels to a remote rural farmhouse thinking they are about to start their new life out by exchanging a land contract for 30k in cash. Unfortunately, that is NOT what happened.
Are we predestined to be who we are OR are we MADE that way by those around us? This story really begs that question.

Hi everyone, I'm SO happy to be here creating another way to share true crime stories with all of you. Over the past two years, I've gotten so many requests to create a podcast, so here it is! New episodes will launch every Monday. This podcast will be a mixture of stories that are already up on my YouTube Channel: bit.ly/42JqSs3 and new episodes you haven't heard yet! Thanks so much for listening. XOXO Kimbyr
Today's case is about The Chessboard Killer. We examine the life of a Russian man who was not only fascinated with the game of chess but also fascinated with playing terrible games with innocent victims in Bitsa Park. He would lure his friends and strangers into the woods, pretending he was having a casual drink and toasting to his dog passing away but instead, it was all a game of control. We will take a look at his case and try to put together the pieces about what led him to carry out the things that he did. This is a story about Alexander Pichushkin. Even if you have heard of him before, I encourage you to watch.
