Tonight we finish our short series and look at 7 things that Jesus brought for us To Have and To Hold.
On Good Friday our Lord had a meal with His followers before He was betrayed. In this sermon we will look at question asked and pull out God Requests from those questions.

Paul is set before the Sanhedrin and asked why he is accused. Paul answers overtly as he has always done and chaos ensues. Yet God's protection is over Paul. Tonight we deal with the overt vs the covert, truth vs lies, good spirits vs bad ones, and God protection vs evil in the world.
Paul is attacked in Jerusalem just as the Holy Spirit told him that he would be, but God's protective hand is also upon him. Tonight we speak of God's artistry and His promise that He is working everything for good.
Paul continues to be warned by people because the Holy Spirit is revealing that he will be persecuted in Jerusalem. The apostle pushes on and finally arrives in the holy city. Tonight we discuss how God created us to use us.

Paul spends some years in Ephesus and A LOT happens. Many people are saved, the occult is being converted, and the false religions of the time are feeling threatened by the Truth.

This week we make it all the way through chapter 12 of the book of Acts. Peter is imprisoned by Agrippa and sent free by an angel. Peter glorifies God in all His goodness while Agrippa seeks glory for himself through his perceived goodness.

We continue to follow Philip wherever the Holy Spirit leads him. This week he meets a prominent Ethiopian man seeking to know more about God. We will look at how faith comes to be, baptism, and the obedience of those who love God.
Historically the man we read about tonight is called Simon the Sorcerer. We'll read about Philip preaching to the Samaritans and how many were filled with the Holy Spirit.
As we continue our study through the book of Acts, we get a little side tracked by a couple of simple questions: Who are the Samaritans? Why was there so much animosity between them and the Jews?
This week we meet Stephen the deacon and hear his whole story here in acts. Including a sermon from this man who lived out the Christian life and answered the call of God.
Who is Gamaliel and what can we learn from him. This week we finish off chapter 5 of Acts and learn about the man Gamliel who taught the apostle Paul and here stands up for Peter and John so they might not be killed.
