This is the Double Turn Podcast. We are a couple of dudes from Arizona who love Pro Wrestling and we want to share our enthusiasm with all fellow pro-wrestling fans. Hello everyone! As the title suggests, this will be the final episode of TDT. After 220 episodes, it's time to call it. For the last 5 and a half years, it was our pleasure to come on this podcast and talk pro-wrestling and fully mark out over everything that is great about it.
We have done some incredible things that we will forever cherish. In this final episode, J-Man and guest co-host the Thunderous Wizard discuss the iconic main events that occurred at Wrestlemania 40 and reminisce over some of the fun things that TDT was able to for the past 5 and a half years. We are grateful for all the support, the Twitter page will still be up to follow wrestling so you can find us on TDTwrestlingpod. The honor and privilege was ours. Gerard is one of the best minds in the community and is a flag bearer in the US for NJPW. This week, we discuss Forbidden Door selling out in less than 40 minutes and what this means for pro-wrestling and in specific AEW and NJPW.
Also, Gerard has been one of the influencers who has been very pro NXT 2.0 since the switch and it was about time him and J-Man sat down and had a chat of he views it as better than NXT black and gold and who can be the pillars of WWE to come out of 2.0. Plus we have a hilarious time discussing the thirsty F boys who frequently invade social media the day after Nikita Lyons makes an appearance. This week, Matt and Jenny from Wrestling with Respect join the J-Man to do what we believe to be the hardest job in pro-wrestling...being the head of creative. So in spirit of AEW and NJPW having their massive show in a few weeks time, we thought we'd create the greatest wrestling show involving WWE and AEW performers. Boy howdy did we come up with some excellent cards. Big thanks as always to Matt and Jenny for coming on and being real troopers and huge thanks to Dellvon Watson for providing music to TDT going forward.

Hey yo! This week on TDT, J-Man and the Thunderous Wizard get together to discuss the greatness of the late great Scott Hall. The wrestling world has mourned his death the last month and a half and it was time we dedicated a TDT's Classics Series in his honor. We discuss Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 10, the War Games match at Fall Brawl '96 between the NWO and Team WCW and Sting vs Scott Hall at Uncensored 1998 for the WCW championship.

He is a former WWE Champion, World Champion, Impact Champion, AAA Champion, Royal Rumble winner. He has been in the ring with some of the best of all time and he himself is one of the greatest Hispanic pro-wrestlers to ever lace them up. They may alienate us with their booking, anger us with releases, bore us to death with repetitive programming, but all is forgiven when Rumble season is around. And this year, the possibilities are literally all over the place. For the first time perhaps ever, both men's world championship matches may be even more important than the Rumble itself as we have two world title matches with INSANE implications. The Women's Rumble match has the possibility to shock things to it's very core. You try telling J-Man and Boss Ross to not be excited about this show and you will be met a cutter off a ladder courtesy of Sammy "No F***s Given" Guevara. On 4/1/2021, it was the 20th anniversary of the Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event of Wrestlemania X-7 in Houston at the Astrodome. 68,000 strong going nucking futs, it is truly one of the greatest spectacles in Sports-Entertainment history. But as always, when you discuss the main of Mania X-7, you have to talk the greatness that is their other 2 Wrestlemania classics. How many performers can you legitimately think that have had a trilogy of matches at Wrestlemania and once you answer that question, how many can you think of that were this damn good?! Now, granted Boss Ross and J-Man did have some nit-picking regarding all three but that is our job. That does not take away from the fact that Stone Cold and the Rock will forever be linked and that their feud will stand the test of time. This week on TDT, we look back at a few hidden gems from the acclaimed "Ruthless Aggression" era as well as the underrated year of 2015. Boss Ross came up with some great examples of different matches that do not have a theme per say, but what they focus on is incredible story telling. Something that WWE had done very well for a long time. At times, they hark back to it but in reality it is a bit of a lost art. Here are three incredible matches that show us as fans, how incredibly important telling a story is in professional wrestling. Over the Christmas break, we lost one of the better people in pro-wrestling. We lost Brodie Lee aka Luke Harper. On today's episode, we look back at the Wyatts vs the Shield in his honor. For as long as we can remember, women in wrestling were only viewed as eye candy, valets and any time they wrestled, it was a bathroom break. Over the years, there were several women who wanted to break the mold and made us wonder if women could really hang. Women such as Trish Stratus, Lita, Jacqueline, Gail Kim, AJ Lee, Beth Phoenix and Natalya. But they could not do it alone. They needed the help and support from the back. In came Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. They put women in the forefront of NXT. They wanted to change the narrative. And from that, we got Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Asuka. Five of the best performers the women's division has ever seen. They wanted to push themselves, they wanted to push the game and wanted to push for women to be on equal footing. And for the last 5 years, they have done unthinkable things and opened doors for other women who never would have gotten a chance to do the things they did. Had it not been for the 4 Horse women or Asuka or Ronda Rousey, Tessa Blanchard does not become Impact World Champion.

All Out occurred this weekend. What a show. There were negatives, positives and everything in between. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Ross was not able to make it on due to technical difficulties. Today we look back at one of the greatest series matches ever produced professional wrestling history: Bret "Hitman" Hart and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. These two put on two instant classics and another really good match that never gets talked about because of the greatness of their Survivor Series and Wrestlmania Clashes. Hello everyone and bienvenidos to the newest edition of the Double Turn podcast. What a week it has been for Ross and I. We went to the Rumble and then we went to Raw the very next night. It was crazy! We took the first quarter of the show to discuss our experience and difference between being at a live show as opposed to watching on television, as well as being at a Raw directly after a Big 4 Pay Per View. Let us say this, it was worth it!!! We also discuss Dean Ambrose announcing he is not resigning with WWE, the fact that Becky vs Ronda is officially going down at Mania, Daniel Bryan is the best thing along with Becky Lynch on the main roster currently and lastly, "oh Mandy, you came and you gave without taking, now I need you today oh Mandy!" In the infamous words of DMX: "We in here!!!!!" This weekend officially marks the start of Wrestlemania season!!!!! Literally the best time to be a wrestling fan!!!!!! Boss Ross is in studio, J-Man is out pulling Daddy duty this week so he is there in spirit, but we have our picks for the Rumble and Takeover: Phoenix, which is occurring in our city baby!!!!!! Going forward, Boss Ross and I will be in competition to see who makes the most correct picks for the PPV's so for this week, we are mostly in agreement with the exception of a couple of matches. We both will be attending the Rumble and are very excited.
