Mitzy and Jimbo chat about Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

In this episode we touch base with a relatively new but exciting vendor in the independent wargaming retail scene and long-time podcast host and hobby legend Matt Lyons. Matt hosts the Pro Painted Podcast along with Rob Ellis and Ian Gilmore and have been hitting the hobby airwaves since 16th August 2017. In the show Matt Rob and Ian give away their hobby secrets, explain their processes and generally chat about everything from conversions to high end painting. Of course long time Warhammer podcast listeners will remember Matt for his contribution to the Black Sun Podcast.

Matt has more recently turned his love of the hobby in to his full time job with his venture in to the world of hobby accessories, he has a fully laden website selling all manner of gaming accessories from range rulers to full army specific sets of in-game reminders for spells and buffs.

Of course we couldn’t get Matt on the show without chatting to him about his amazing armies and how he achieves such fantastic effects. He is truly the master of the themed force and is a prolific hobbyist.

Mitzy and Jimbo chat about Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

In this episode we touch base with a long standing friend and previous guest on the show the wonderful Christian Hacon or as you probably know him Bishmeister. In this episode we get behind the mind of this amazing, some might say legendary hobbyist and how he uses expanded PVC (Brand names Foamex or Forex) to create the most incredible terrain.

His works include the 3rd place Open Category Golden Demon terrain piece "The Burgomeister's Mansion" which towers in at between 5-6' in height and is an incredible work of art. The Mierce Miniatures "Darklands" salute table which spans rolling hills, a ruined Byzantii temple, catacombs and a NorseHafn Dockyard, which spans a massive 22' x 4' gaming surface!

He spends 95% of his hobby time planning and creating stunning worlds and gaming surfaces and still finds time to paint up award winning armies for Warhammer.

Mitzy and Jimbo chat about Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

In this episode we chat about our hopes and expectations for London Grand Tournament which we will both be attending. After last years LGT which had a lot of criticism, there is a lot of interest to see how the event will perform.

We also have a segment on building a display board for your army. Jimbo goes through the process of building his LGT display board from working out the concept, through the build and finally discussing what he learned and what he would change next time.

The #HopsHoedown is a review of Warp-IPA by Light City Brewery which was very kindly supplied by Warpdigger, a skaven engineer who is a close friend of Steve Foote. Fingers crossed that we will survive tasting the warpstone laced liquor!
