Are you tired of living in a small story?

This was the title of the keynote Karen Doyle gave at last week's Sisterhood National Catholic Women's Conference, in Sydney.

In the keynote she spoke about the fact we have far more power over our lives than we realise and we are called to co-create our lives with the Lord. One of the beautiful gifts and the thing that sets us apart from the other creatures that  God created is our capacity for reason and understanding. We have the ability to think about our thinking and bring those thoughts under the Lordship of Christ.

But this is not always easy! How many times have you vowed to change but you find yourself falling back into the same negative patterns?

In this episode Karen takes you through five practical steps and tools you can use to actively participate in your own transformation and be renewed by the transformation of your mind.

Have you ever wondered why did it took the Israelites forty years to make a two and half week journey? The answer: because that's how long it took them to let go of Egypt. To let go of all their vices, their priorities and to want nothing but God and his promised land. Our Lenten journey has been a similar one. Over the past sex weeks we have been invited into a radical trust and abandonment to what the Lord is wanting to do in our life. And as we walk into Holy Week we are invited to reflect on the fruits of our Lent. In this weeks episode of The Genius podcast, host, Karen Doyle is joined by special guest and lay Carmelite, Jennifer Gentile. Jennifer's spiritual insights are profound. This interview will refocus you on holy week in a special way.

At any point in our journey we can return to God, the father, who loves us unconditionally and delights in who we are.

Is ordinary really that wonderful? The word ordinary doesn't seem to call out anything special.  As a result many women take that to mean that they have nothing to offer, that they don't have anything worthwhile to give or they aren't enough and therefore God doesn't have a plan or a purpose for them.  As a result many women wonder what the point is, they become stuck and sadly can miss the many invitations God gives to them.
