Twelfth Night, or What You Will is a romantic comedy by William Shakespeare, believed to have been written around 1601–1602 as a Twelfth Night's entertainment for the close of the Christmas season. The play centres on the twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola (who is disguised as Cesario) falls in love with Duke Orsino, who in turn is in love with Countess Olivia. Upon meeting Viola, Countess Olivia falls in love with her thinking she is a man.

The Country Wife is a Restoration comedy written in 1675 by William Wycherley, based on several plays by Molière. A product of the tolerant early Restoration period, the play reflects an aristocratic and anti-Puritan ideology, and was controversial for its sexual explicitness even in its own time. The title itself contains a lewd pun with regard to the first syllable of "country". Between 1753 and 1924, The Country Wife was considered too outrageous to be performed at all. So, settle in and prepare to enjoy a rollicking, bawdy good time!

Sweet Tea Shakespeare is a theatre and music company based in North Carolina that seeks to gather a diverse community around a common table to delight in the magic of story, song, and stagecraft. The Sweet Tea Shakespeare Hours are live events and intimate discussions, musical detours, scholarly lectures and artistic differences, all channeled through this podcast and in-person community gatherings.
