Welcome to my Podcast. This is a destination for lovers of Funk, Soul, Rare Groove, Hip Hop, Acid Jazz, House, Break Beat, Afro, Latin, Drum n Bass and Electro.
The format for this podcast will continue to evolve. Initially, I will be posting my live mixes. Ultimately, The Jazzy Dugout will feature guest interviews with djs, musicians, and other interesting personalities. You might even catch some of my own ramblings about life, love, and music.
Why the Jazzy Dugout? This is the nickname for my studio where I've spent countless hours enjoying, learning about, playing and making music.
I think that everyone needs a Jazzy Dugout. If you don't have one, come back anytime and hang out in mine - but since you're already here - sit back relax, and get funky with me.

One of the genres of music that continues to move me is Hip Hop. From my break dancing days in the early 80's till now - as an active DJ and and band member in The Continental Soldiers I continually find inspiration in both old and new Hip Hop. Here is a list of 20 songs that I have loved over the years.
This is by no means close to a complete list but it's a start. Once again this was an on the fly mix with two 1200's and a mixer. Some vinyl and some digital but all good shit. Stay tuned for pt. 2 with The Continental Soldiers.

I had the opportunity to play at the W Hotel recently in Seattle. For kicks I recorded the first 45 minutes.
