Season 3 Women & Money Series I am sharing my tips on how to save a lump sum of money for a specific goal otherwise known as a “sinking fund”. A sinking funds purpose is to be spent on the action it was saved for. This is different than your emergency fund which is used in case of life emergencies. My top tip is to open a separate bank account for the sinking fund and name the account. That way you are more motivated to add to it when you see it named rather than money in your regular savings account. I’m back! After a 6 month hiatus from the podcast, I am returning to share the story of how I unexpectedly manifested our dream home in the middle of having a newborn baby and Covid. Kristin and I met over Instagram and I love her positive wellness content that she puts out. Kristin is also a wellness educator with Young Living essential oils where she helps families navigate the world of essential oils and incorporate natural, cleaner products into their homes. She and her husband, Tyler, have two sons, Tanner and Brody, and a daughter, Keelie, who were all born at home. When she's not at the office, Dr. Marchman enjoys staying active and spending time with her three favorite guys and little gal, as her love language is most definitely quality time.

Rachel Crethar started Rock & Co in January 2016 while juggling two kids and a career in advertising as a media strategist. Guided by a strong ‘knowing’ following a chance encounter with a piece of Citrine a year earlier, Rachel was inspired to create Rock & Co. Rachel’s intuition served her well, with Rock & Co growing rapidly and to become the “most coveted crystal brand in Australia”.
In 2017 she left the advertising world behind to focus full time on Rock & Co and her growing work within the healing space. Rachel hosted regular workshops and events across Australia and New Zealand, educating and empowering people to harness the healing power of crystals within their own lives.
In 2018, inspired by her love of healing and fascination with how the subconscious can create our reality, Rachel completed her studies to become a certified hypnotherapist and Rapid Transformational (RTT) Therapist. After personally suffering from anxiety, low self-esteem and post-natal depression in the past, Rachel’s empathy and passion for understanding the human mind, and why we do the things we do, is innate.
Rachel now works with clients all over the world, helping them overcome all kinds of problems including anxiety, emotional eating disorders, removing money blocks, relationship issues and even helping them fall pregnant naturally after years of trying. Sessions are mostly conducted online via Zoom or Skype, with a limited number of appointments available in-person in Sydney’s Paddington.
Rachel was named one of Women's Health Magazine’s '25 Trailblazers on a Mission to Change Your World' in 2019, and has also been featured in Real Living, Elle Australia, Marie Claire Australia, Baskk, Peppermint, Yen Magazine, Body & Soul, The Wayward, Byrdie and more.

In today's episode I interview Jen Lewis the Founder of Purse & Clutch an ethically made handbag company that works directly with artisans in Guatemala, Mexico, and Ethiopia. Purse & Clutch strives to provide thoughtfully designed & ethically made handbags to help end the cycle of poverty and to be a part of changing the fashion industry for good.
Jen has always wanted to spend her time focusing on long-term, sustainable solutions for men & women living in poverty in developing countries with limited opportunities. She has been drawn to the beauty of international cultures & wanted to join alongside their fight against the systems that keep people in poverty generation after generation.
From summers spent in Mexico & Bolivia to longer stints in Guatemala & Honduras, Jen has seen the need for sustainable job opportunities first hand. Jen started Purse & Clutch in 2011 to connect talented artisans with a market here in the States. She was amazed to learn about how these jobs were transforming the lives of the women & men we were partnering with & realized since she was based in the States, she could facilitate that connection to help them grow. With social media and instant access to other people's lives it's hard not to get caught up in thinking that everyone is doing it all but YOU. If only you could have a perfectly clean house, zero meltdown children, amazing clothes that fit without you having to diet b/c everyone on Instagram is skinny without trying, a booming business and be Happy….we guess what girlfriend all of that is a LIE and NO ONE is actually doing it all themselves as the internet makes us believe they are!
I will break down for you my tips on how to outsource when it feels like you have too much to do and not enough time and resources I lean on to help me through my life.

She is also the Co-founder of Do312, a Chicago-based media property focused on helping a culture-forward audience find concerts and events.
Lisa brings 20 years of experience in marketing, idea development, growth strategy, sponsorship acquisition and management of large scale festivals and events including Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits Music Festival. She is highly involved in the Austin community, and currently serves on the boards of Austin Film Society and Saint Gabriel’s Catholic School. Previous service includes Governor of the Texas Chapter of The Recording Academy from 2004 until 2008, Commissioner of Austin Music Commission from 2003 until 2006, Board Member of Heath Alliance for Austin Musicians from 2009-2018 and Creative Action 2016-2018.

We chat about how in 2009 Kaileen started her website as a creative break from her corporate day job. What she didn't know at the time was that writing and connecting online would be a huge source of support when she left Corporate America to become a full time mama. A year after her second child was born, Kaileen’s creative heart started pulling her back towards wanting to work. But this time she decided to build her own business!
In August, Kaileen and her co-host Jordan launched That’s Pretty Woo, a weekly podcast that's girl talk and deep conversations about all things life, beauty, magic, and woo-woo! Kaileen also added a website design business to her creative mix! Kaileen is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build beautiful websites with simplicity and ease.

In this episode I interview Mirelle Leguia, the founder of Mother Nutrient, a supplement company made specifically for the needs of mothers based in Austin, TX. Mirelle shares how she found the need for mother based supplements in the marketplace, struggles she encountered to get the business up and running, where her passion came from to develop high quality supplements, how she got distribution through Amazon and her ideas to expand the company in the future.
Mirelle's interest in nutrition came after her own health challenges during and after her pregnancies. She left her established career in marketing to pursue her interest in women's health, specifically prenatal and postnatal nutrition. She went back to school and graduated from Bauman College's Holistic Nutrition Program with Honors after completing her Master's in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and her Bachelor's in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
Mirelle has worked with local and international clients, helping them recover their health after having babies and teaching them about nutrient dense foods. She is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP) and regularly attends nutrition and birth professional conferences. She specializes in Paleo, WAPF and other nutrient dense diets.
Mirelle currently lives in south Austin with her husband Jason, son Nico, puppy Emma and eight happy backyard chickens.

In this episode I interview Jenna Webb, an abstract painter, who after a lifelong battle with chronic migraines taught herself to paint as a therapeutic discovery. Jenna started her career in the corporate world and after a trip to Costa Rica realized that there is another way to live your life! Painting is a way for Jenna to get connected to her higher self, heal chronic pain and reminds her of her own personal magic.
Her abstract paintings are inspired by crystal energy, color psychology and universal magic. She is fascinated by tools that help the viewer gain a deeper understanding of themselves and develop connection on their self-love journey. After a few soul searching journeys of her own and 9 years in the corporate world, Jenna became a full time abstract artist in 2017.
Jenna believes your home should be an extension of who you are. It lights her up inside to create something beautiful that makes you FEEL something special and knowing that energy is radiating in your home. She specializes in large-scale alcohol ink paintings, online painting courses and working directly with clients on custom pieces worldwide.
