In this episode, I address a common question: 'How long should your podcast episodes be?' I explain that the ideal length varies depending on the type of podcast and audience preference.
I recommend around 45 minutes for guest interviews, but my preference is to keep them to 25 minutes to ensure they are focused and actionable.
Health-related podcasts might benefit from being around 30 minutes long while solo episodes can be as short as 10 minutes.
I emphasize the importance of tailoring the length to your content and audience, and not being afraid to deviate from norms.

In this episode, I chat with Chu Tang.
Chu Tang is more than a health and wellness entrepreneur; she is a compassionate advocate for the well-being of busy professionals. Recognizing the struggles faced by those who give tirelessly to their work and communities, Chu is dedicated to helping them reclaim control over their health and achieve peak performance.
In 2000, a significant loss ignited Chu's transformative journey. Witnessing her dearest person die from breast cancer, she resolved to explore alternative medicine systems, driven by an unwavering determination to support her loved ones without ever feeling vulnerable and helpless. Her move to New Zealand, where she contributed to the iconic trilogy "The Lord of the Rings," cemented her new health journey. Chu continued her training in health and wellness across New Zealand, Australia, Arizona, and California.
In 2022, Chu witnessed her uncle's speech recovery from a stroke in just two hours with the light therapy patching technology! When tears gushed down my aunty’s cheeks after hearing her name again from her husband, Chu found her specific purpose: to advocate for and share the transformative health potential of the light therapy patch with people globally in more than 70 countries.
Chu firmly believes that with determination and perseverance, anything is possible. Her message is clear: never give up, as long as there's breath, there's hope!

Hey there!
Today, I want to chat with you about something that many of us have pondered at some point in our lives: the decision between sticking with a 9 to 5 job or exploring other possibilities.
I've got four key points to share with you on this topic.
First off, it's crucial to understand your personal financial needs. Everyone's situation is different, so take the time to figure out what works best for you.
Next, don't let the judgments of others sway your decision. It's your life, after all, and you should do what makes you happy and fulfilled.
Thirdly, remember to lean on your support systems. Having open conversations with your loved ones can provide valuable insights and guidance as you navigate this decision-making process.
Lastly, let's talk about the amazing opportunities that the digital age has brought us. There are so many avenues to explore outside of the traditional job, so don't be afraid to think outside the box and pursue your passions.
I can't stress enough the importance of financial independence and the potential of entrepreneurship in today's digital world. It's an exciting time, and there's no better moment to take control of your destiny.
So, my friend, I encourage you to focus on your own goals, have open conversations with your support system, and explore all the incredible possibilities that await you.
Remember, the choice is yours, and I'm here cheering you on every step of the way.
Let's make your dreams a reality!

Hey there!
In this episode, I'm going to share some practical advice on how to transition from a 9 to 5 job. It's a topic that many of us can relate to, so I hope you find it helpful.
So, let's dive right in! I've outlined eight key steps that can make your transition smoother.
First and foremost, it's important to make a firm decision to leave. Once you've made up your mind, it's time to start planning and preparing for your exit.
Next, I suggest doing some research on your current benefits at your 9-5. It's essential to know what you'll be giving up and what you can potentially gain in your new venture. Alongside that, it's crucial to determine your savings and financial situation, so you can make informed decisions.
Now, here comes the exciting part! You have to consider whether you want to look for another job or take the leap and start your own business. Both options have their pros and cons, so take your time to weigh them carefully.
When it's time to leave your current job, remember to maintain professionalism. It's important not to burn any bridges, as you never know when you might need a reference or a connection in the future.
Lastly, I want to emphasize the importance of focusing on your personal happiness. Don't let others' opinions or expectations dictate your choices. Live for yourself and what makes you truly happy.
I hope these steps give you some clarity and confidence as you navigate this transition. I'm really excited for you and what lies ahead! Stay tuned for the next episode, where we'll dive into another interesting topic. Take care!

Welcome to another episode of "Hello C.S. Dorsey"! Today, I want to chat with you about some awesome side hustles that can help you generate some extra income.
One great option is creating and selling digital products, like planners and journals. The best part? It's super easy to make them, and you can sell them over and over again! It's a great way to turn your creativity into cash.
Another idea I want to share with you is crafting items like jewelry and soap. Now, keep in mind that the success of this side hustle depends on how visually appealing your products are. But if you've got a knack for making beautiful things, this could be a great way to earn some extra dough.
So, whether you need some extra cash for occasional expenses or you're dreaming of turning your side hustle into a full-time gig, I encourage you to consider these ideas. They're fun, creative, and who knows? They might just be the key to unlocking your financial goals.

By setting an exit date, you can create a roadmap to help you achieve your goals and make a smooth transition. Once you have your exit date in mind, it's time to break down your financial goals into bite-sized pieces.
Start by figuring out how much you want to save before leaving your job, and then create a plan to achieve that goal. Make a list of any bills or debts you have and prioritize paying them off.
Additionally, think about what you're going to do with your 401K - whether to move it or invest it differently. Don't forget to consider any changes you may need to make to your medical plan as well.
Remember, it's all about taking small steps and tackling one task at a time to make your transition as smooth as possible.

Hey there! In this podcast episode, we're going to explore the idea of leaving your 9-5 job and what it would actually look like if you took that leap of faith. Imagine a life where you get to be your own boss, set your own schedule, and pursue your passion. It's an exciting thought, isn't it?
But before you make any hasty decisions, let's take a step back and consider both sides of the coin. What if you stayed in your current job? What are the pros and cons? Perhaps you have job security, a steady paycheck, and a comfortable routine. On the other hand, you may feel unfulfilled, restricted, and longing for more. It's important to weigh these factors and truly understand what you want for your future.
So here's the big question: Do you really want to find another job just to remain in the same cycle, or do you truly desire to focus on creating your own dream business? Imagine waking up every day to work on something that truly excites you, something that aligns with your values and goals. It's a tempting prospect, and in this episode, we'll delve into the nitty-gritty of making that dream business a reality. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and let's dive in together!

In today's episode, I have Sarah Moore on the show talking all about how to have meaningful connections in business and personal life.
Sarah spent 11+ years coaching women at every level of an organization from Senior Executives to Emerging Leaders, from start-ups to global brands. Her varied background in industries such as retail, journalism, and oil and gas, and extensive years living abroad, all have one thing in common; most every decision was born out of passion and purpose.
With that in mind, the bottom line is, Sarah coached women to know what they want, to have the courage to say it, and pursue it. She wants women to feel even more confident, to speak up in meetings and board rooms with ease, to communicate effectively in all of their relationships, to feel comfortable in their own skin, and to be seen as one heck of a leader.

On today's episode, I have Lauren Goldstein dropping some gold nuggets and value bombs!
Lauren is the founder and CEO of the award-winning and globally recognized boutique business consulting firm, Golden Key Partnership.

As a trusted advisor to some of the fastest growing businesses and Fortune 500 companies like Apple, Nike, and AT&T, for more than 12 years, Lauren’s greatest asset is helping business owners successfully transition through the gap of business operator to true business owner; from chief everything officer to powerful and effective CEO and leader.
Lauren is also passionate about the mental health of entrepreneurs. It's her goal to create a space for her clients to have more fun, play, and do good in the community while helping them have a business that can sustainably grow without feeling like it is all on them - so when they decide to take that much-deserved vacation, their business runs without having to worry!

In today's episode, we are talking all about why design matters with Lauren Felter
Lauren is a design educator for non-designers and a former ladder climber. She spent the first decade of her career overseeing marketing, operations, and technical systems for a university admissions office, while also teaching design as adjunct faculty.
After following the path to traditional success but only finding intense burnout and an identity crisis at the top, she blew it all up in January 2020 to do it her own way.
She turned her highly sought-after university design course into one specifically for non-designers who find designing an inevitable part of their regular to-do list. She prides herself on a no-shame, no-shade approach to her web design, branding, and design education.

Are you looking for ways to make some extra cash? In this episode, I share my personal experience of starting a side hustle by selling jewelry. You don't need to have everything planned out or have all the bells and whistles to create a side hustle and make extra money. All you need is a willingness to take action and a little creativity.
I started selling jewelry without any prior experience in making it. I went to a craft store, bought some beads and hooks, made two pairs of earrings, and sold them to my coworkers for $7 each. I made $14 that day and continued to sell jewelry at my job, my mom's job, festivals, and artist shows. You can start a side hustle with something as simple as making jewelry and selling it for a profit.
My approach to creating a side hustle is simple. I teach from my own experience and don't follow a laundry list of steps that can be overwhelming. Instead, I encourage listeners to start with what they have in their house or with a small amount of money, like $7. Go to a craft store like Michael's and find the lowest-priced item, such as beads and hooks, to make earrings and sell them for a profit. The key is to reinvest the profit and keep selling to pay bills and make more money.
If you found this episode helpful and want more content on how I created my own side hustle, let me know. Creating a side hustle is simple and just requires the right mindset.

Are you looking for a way to make extra money online? Well, I have some exciting news for you! In the latest episode of the Hello C.S. Dorsey podcast, I discuss how to start a business online and make extra money by creating PDF printables.
I share my personal experience with experimenting with selling PDF printables during a Black Friday sale, and how I found success. I recommend starting with a PDF download, workbook, or worksheet that solves a problem for your target audience. To create PDF printables, I suggest using Canva, which has beautiful templates that you can customize. For delivery, I recommend using ConvertKit, which allows you to collect payments and deliver the PDF to the customer.
I also provide advice on how to validate the product and drive traffic to it. I suggest starting with organic traffic sources, such as your email list or social media followers, before investing in ads. I also suggest testing the product by giving it away for free before switching to a paid product.
In conclusion, creating PDF printables is a great way to start an online business and make extra money. By following my advice, you can create a successful business by starting small and gradually building up to the ultimate product. So, what are you waiting for?

Hey there, my dear listeners! It's your host here, and I'm thrilled to be back with another episode of the Hello C.S. Dorsey Podcast.
Today, I want to talk about the future of the podcast and ask for your feedback.
The subject line for today's episode is "What's Next for the Hello C.S. Dorsey Podcast?" Many of you have been with me since the beginning, and I want to thank you for your support and encouragement. I couldn't have made it this far without you.
Reflecting on the past 133 episodes, I realize I've had my ups and downs. But what kept me going was the requests to be on the show. I plan to continue having guests on the show, but I also want to do more solo episodes. However, I'm a multi-passionate person with no specific niche, so I'm unsure what to discuss.
One topic that I'm excited to explore more is budgeting and saving money. It's a shift from my usual entrepreneurship and business topics, but I believe it's important to talk about. That's why I'm asking for your feedback. I've included a survey in the show notes, and I would love to hear what you want to hear more about and what type of guests you would like to hear from.
I also want to be more consistent with my episodes and deliver them weekly for you. But I need your help to hold me accountable and provide encouragement. I'm excited about the growth of the podcast and can't wait to see what the future holds.
To wrap things up, I want to share a quote from one of my guests: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that count." I believe that this quote perfectly captures the spirit of the podcast and the journey that we're all on.
So, my dear listeners, I encourage you to play this episode and fill out the survey in the show notes. Let me know what you think and what you want to hear more of. And if you've overcome obstacles in your business or had a "hello moment" in your personal or professional life, I invite you to be a guest on the show. You can find the guest form and my email below, and connect with me on Instagram. I don't post often, but I welcome your direct messages.
Thank you for listening, and I'll see you in the next episode!

In this episode with Taylor Fischer, we dive deep into learning how to write copy for your sales page.
Stress and launching doesn't have to go hand-in-hand. Taylor Fischer is a launch strategist and copywriter who helps you launch your course or membership with confidence and peace of mind. By getting to know you and your audience really well and using that to guide your launch strategy and copy, Taylor can make your next launch restful, not stressful.
The most helpful thing you can do before writing. (Which is talk to a few of your clients who previously joined your course or membership. Find out what they struggled with before they met you and how their life and business has changed since they met you. These insights will guide your copy.)
What to specifically write about:
Your audience’s struggles
Interesting details
Stress and launching don't have to go hand in hand.
By using the first two takeaways, you can feel relaxed and confident, not stressed and uncertain, when you launch.
Here is what happens when you hire Taylor for your copywriting needs:
You and Taylor will talk for about an hour — about what you do, who you help, and what you’re having trouble with. Ask her any questions!
You introduce her to a few of your clients and talk about what they were struggling with before they met you. And how their life and business have changed since they met you.

During our conversation, Samantha shared with me her inspiration for starting this business and emphasized the importance of providing excellent customer service, starting with a well-drafted contract.

Smart VAs is founded by a Filipino based in the United States, Kristy Yoder.
Being a multi-skilled leader, she humbly worked her way from a freelance virtual assistant and digital marketer to an entrepreneur.
While working with previous clients, Kristy saw the increasing demand for virtual assistants, which could solve the growing number of Filipinos desiring to shift to home-based work.
This potential pool of talent struggles with a less competitive salary and long hours of commute due to traffic. Thus, she established SmartVAs. She has built and trained a team based in the Philippines to help more aspiring solopreneurs in the digital space.
Kristy is also passionate about reaching out to the needy. Before moving to the US, she volunteered for many cause-related activities through local missions and youth outreach. As it is in her heart, she wants to continue to help by giving back to small NGOs and local churches.

In this episode, we are talking with Carol-Ann Carrington, founder and CEO of Kickerfeast.com
Carol-Ann Carrington is an immigrant from the beautiful island of Barbados. She pursued a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Accounting from Jersey City State College. As an accountant, she worked in several industries including investment, entertainment, and health care. During a transitional period in her corporate life, she pursued her M.S. at John Jay College of Criminal Justice to supplement her accountant degree and expand her knowledge of fraud.
In 2018, she came up with her food product and decided to go to culinary school.
Colorful Eats became Carol-Ann’s passion in 2018 when a sale of her corporate employer provided an opportunity to pursue entrepreneurship.
She was juicing carrots when her son asked for pancakes; Carol-Ann suggested that he should drink some of the carrot juice which he politely declined. Simultaneously a light bulb went off! She blended some of the carrot juice into the pancake mix. Her son ate the carrot pancakes and politely asked for more. That became her pursuit to bring a colorful, vegetable and fruit-based pancake mixes to market. Approximately two years later, she launched www.Kickerfeast.com.
Kickerfeast mix offers a healthier, delicious alternative to plain pancakes. This premium mix is made with simple, wholesome ingredients, giving you natural color and uncompromising flavor. Whether you want pancakes or waffles, the Kickerfeast mix is simple to use: Just add water! Enjoy the flavors and colors of Blueberry, Beet, Carrot, and Pumpkin.

How do you use your podcast to grow?I believe that the most valuable part of podcasting is the connection that we get from meeting new people "face-to-face". I love to use my podcast as a platform to inspire my listeners to change their lives, and to collaborate with those that are in a similar niche as mine in order to add value to our industry, and to help other small business owners succeed.

Keri Lonny, Fiercely Finding Happiness
Keri Lonny Content Management, Founder and Creative Genius 😉
How do you use your podcast to grow your business?
Podcasting is such a great tool! I will be launching my podcast soon, but I have had the privilege of helping my clients find success with their podcasting and there are so many benefits.
First of all, podcasting is a great way to connect with 1:1 clients. When people know what you do and who you are, the likelihood of getting leads on autopilot is much greater. By creating online influence through your podcast, you will be able to reach people you may never have connected with otherwise.
Leveraging collaborations is such a great way to grow! Cross promoting each other is a great way to benefit both parties, as each person has the opportunity to reach a new audience that might be interested in their services.
Not only are you creating brand awareness by starting a podcast, but you will be networking in order to bring on guests which in itself will serve you. As you bring on more guests and become more successful, the word will spread.
What three takeaways you can give to the listeners?
1. You are more powerful than you know. STOP doubting yourself. Stop playing safe. Get real, get vulnerable, and let the world get to know you. We crave the human connection, and that is exactly what podcasting provides. Create that like, know, and trust factor by being REAL and sharing it via audio.
2. Keep it interesting! There is nothing worse than pouring time and energy into content that misses the mark and doesn’t get results. When you are working on your podcast, ask yourself “Does this make me feel something?”
If the answer is no, then you need to shift. Ask more vulnerable questions. Get gritty. Share things that might not be well-received.
The whole idea is to attract the people that will be clawing at their credit cards to book your services or buy your products. It’s okay if some people don’t like you. In fact, in order to grow that’s exactly what needs to happen.
3. Skip the learning curve. If you are ready to jump into podcasting but the technical side of it freaks you out, that is the perfect time to get help! Candice is an expert at launching podcasts, and I help to manage them once they are up and running.
Whether you are looking for done-for-you services, just need a bit of direction, or want to go the DIY route, don’t get stuck on the nitty-gritty technicalities. Just reach out instead and we'll point you in the right direction.

Zuzana helps people to gain clarity, awareness, and alignment with their target
audience across every stage of their dream customer’s journey, so they can sell
ideas with purpose, create expansion in people's lives, and be an independent
entrepreneur.
Unlike many who focus primarily on products or services to sell, she delivers
solutions by applying a design-thinking philosophy using human-centered
discovery, brain science alignment, and business and client synergy.
Zuzana is Slovakian, born in former Czechoslovakia. As a kid, she was told she would never be able to leave her country and see the world or have the freedom to be
whoever she wanted to be. After the Iron Curtain came down, Zuzana moved to England,
speaking very little English with only £200 in my pocket.
She gradually made her way by working in the creative industry and got an
offer to join a big corporation. She had her “dream job” as an interaction and UX
designer, but still, something felt odd... Zuzana had this unstoppable desire to fulfill her
childhood dream to travel around the world, so she quit the “security”, traveled
solo for 2 years, and even backpacked to Antarctica.
After Zuzana trip, she merged my passion for adventure travel and human
evolution with my design and creative problem-solving Expertise, and she
embarked on the journey of entrepreneurship. She created The WHO Method
to help entrepreneurs, coaches, authors, experts and agencies to get to know
their customers deeply and to avoid the pitfalls of attracting the wrong people.

Onyinye is a woman who is passionate about serving others. Life experiences have shown her how authenticity leads to inner power and peace and ultimately allows one to align with their greater purpose in life. Sometimes life gives you an unexpected wake-up call and forces you to reflect and make a major change. Onyinye’s life-changing moment was a little more extreme than most.
The diagnosis of cancer propelled Onyinye into taking massive action which ultimately led to major transformation. It took getting sick for her to understand that she was not living the life that God put her on this earth to live, she was not being true to her authentic self or living her purpose.
That moment in time was the catalyst for everything else she has done since then including starting her own coaching business. She reawakened her quest for personal growth and development, embraced her faith and trust in God, committed to shifting her mindset, reassessed her values, reconnected with her purpose, and through much work – transformed her life for the better.
Now, she is living her calling and her purpose and sharing her story, knowledge, and experience with others. Onyinye worked in Higher Education in Student Affairs and as a lecturer for over 10 years before she made the transition to entrepreneurship.
In addition to being a Transformation Life and Business Coach, Onyinye is a Speaker, Author, Consultant, Trainer, Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, and host of Powerteam International Masterminds. She lives in Phoenix with her husband and two kids and loves cooking, traveling, and meeting new people.

Michelle E. Watson is an artisan storyteller and a true creative. In spite of the twists and turns of life, Michelle has always known she would be an author and a minister. Her two lifelong dreams have been to be a biographer and a missionary preacher. In 2014 Michelle founded The Charming Artist, where she sells her paintings and other artwork. She began using art in her speaking in 2019, based on the idea that a story can be told with any appropriate medium, not just words.
Michelle is the author of “Peaceful Heart, Healthy Body,” available on Amazon in both hard copy and Kindle formats. Her memoir describes her journey in finding the balance between faith and knowledge while dealing with a series of health challenges and chronic pain. It is a must-read for women of faith.
Whether she uses comedy, music, poetry, or visual art, Michelle both entertains and inspires her audience. Michelle published her first memoir, Peaceful Heart, Healthy Body, in 2019. She also founded her first Facebook group, Liberating the Voice of the Woman, to give women a safe place to use the arts to express things they have been silenced from sharing with family and loved ones. Her passion is to help women find their voice so they can receive healing from chronic pain brought on by past trauma.
Michele would like to offer the following advice to those who are beginning their own entrepreneurial journey:
In March 2020 Michelle officially launched Peaceful Heart Coaching to provide one-on-one support to women who want specialized help and care in telling their stories. Michelle lives in Snellville, Georgia with her husband, daughter, and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading, knitting, and quiet off-season vacations.

Dallas, TX native Julie Plagens is a wife, mother, teacher, blogger, and author. Before she married, she taught speech, drama, and English for three years in the Richardson Independent School District. After she married, she became a stay-home mom. Julie has volunteered for many years locally and in South Texas doing Vacation Bible Study, food distribution, and door-to-door witnessing. Now that her children are grown, she is a substitute teacher for a private school in Dallas and works intermittently for her husband.
Growing up as a self-described “preacher’s kid” Julie felt the pressure to be perfect and to stand in the shadows of her father, who was a pastor for two local mega-churches. The strains of pastoral life and in the public eye took a toll on her family, and Julie painfully cut ties with her parents.
After a heartbreaking estrangement from her parents, Julie realized she was not alone in her feelings of shame and her struggles to interact with family in a healthy way. Julie’s experience with family estrangement formed the basis for her book, Estranged: Finding Hope When Your Family Falls Apart, available on Amazon. Now that she has reconciled with her family, she wishes to help others find hope when they experience a family rift or a full-blown estrangement. When Julie is not talking about forgiveness, she is sharing helpful tips on her blog about family, marriage, school, and faith.
As a self-described creative, Julie offers the following tips to women who are venturing out into the world of business ownership or other endeavors:
Julie lives with her husband of 26 years in Dallas, Texas.
Julie’s book may be found on Amazon and in local Dallas, TX bookstores.

Sally Betters is a compelling author, transformational coach, and an informative and inspirational speaker who is a truth-teller. Her passion is to reach through the pages of a book or extend a hand through an electronic screen to offer personal freedom—eliminate the cloak of shame. It is her mission to assist individuals and help organizations understand the rarely talked about issues that define our world view.
She helps individuals identify their true self by understanding where their true strength comes from so they can become the person they would follow. Working together to clarify their purpose, access divine empowerment, define their path and find an intimate connection with a supportive community.
Drawing on over 20 years of training, teaching and leadership experience, Sally has inspired others to achieve more than they thought they could. Witnessing significant changes in struggling learners through teaching research-based techniques has been extremely rewarding. She now uses her own life experience to dig deeper and unearth the difficult conversations that have been avoided within the faith community.

Ashli Cotton is originally from Chicago, IL. She has always enjoyed entertainment. It was during her time as a background actor in Los Angeles that she discovered her calling for her current line of work. After living in Los Angeles, she relocated to Oxnard, CA., where she created and hosted “The Life” Talk Show. As a gifted communicator, Ashli takes pride in creating a talk show environment that is non-confrontational, guest-driven and informative.
Although “The Life” Talk Show is a Christian based show, no topic is off-limits or taboo. When it comes to sharing testimonies, Ashli discusses finances, business, personal goals, entertainment, and current issues affecting the African-American community and the world at large. In this day and age of digital marketing, Ashli relies on a refreshingly old school advertising method: door panel magnets on her car.
Ashli’s guests have been sourced from church, recommendations from friends, and conversations with fellow drivers who saw her car magnets while at a stoplight or in a parking lot. She will offer up a business card and the opportunity to appear on her show.
In 2016, Ashli created The Life 14:16, a non-profit dedicated to assisting single mothers and fathers. As a single mother herself, she understood the unique challenges faced by single parents and felt called to create a means of helping them.
Her faith and efforts paid off: the Walmart Foundation recently awarded The Life 14:16 a grant to cover expenses for three first-generation students/parents in college. Ashli is blessed to be a vessel for these hardworking students to ease the burden of attending college while raising a child on their own.
Ashli encourages all new business owners to begin by legalizing the business: filing the necessary paperwork for incorporation/licensing and for new non-profits to take the steps to become an office 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. As a true believer, Ashli reassures us that God will provide the rest and things will fall into place once we take those first steps.
As we move through a period of unprecedented challenges and uncertainty, Ashli offers the following suggestions: 1) Focus on safety and health of self and loved ones, 2) use this time to pause and take a break 3) Keep in mind the safety and health of others 4) focus on prioritizing what is truly important.
As a woman of faith, Ashli firmly believes that God is in control, and will be there for all who are open to receiving His blessings and guidance.
Currently, Ashli resides in Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX with her son, and is hosting “The Life” Talk Show on Fishbowl Radio Network, the largest Internet and Global radio network in the United States.

Jacky grew up in Romford Essex in the UK and knew from the age of nine she wanted to be a television and movie director. She directed her first play at the tender age of 17 and hasn’t looked back. The UK-based author/podcaster/radio station owner/non-profit leader and mom like to joke that her “hobby is murder.” She is the author of crime novels “From Makeup to Murder” and from “Vegas to Villany.”
Crime fiction isn’t her only genre, however. Jacky is also the author of the children’s book “The Amazing Adventures of Starr: The Lost Extra.”
Her most recent project is “Method of Murder” (2019) a documentary that traces her travels in the U.S. to perform research for her latest crime novel, available on Amazon Prime.
When writing books, Jacky likes to set aside a box for character research notes, outlines, and dialogue notes as the book begins to take shape. While this may seem to be a departure from apps and software, Jacky swears by this method and recommends it to all aspiring and experienced writers.
In addition to her other roles, Jacky is also a drama teacher and mentor to young actors.
This multi-talented entrepreneur encourages would-be business owners to know their field, surround themselves with people who support their business goals and mission, and to dive in. Her favorite piece of advice? “Don’t talk. Do.”
Like most business owners, Jacky has had her share of missteps along the way but refuses to label them “failures” since she has learned from each one. She is fond of saying, “An entrepreneur will see a way through a closed path.”

Linda Marie Ellis is a veteran entrepreneur, mother of four grown sons and a grandmother of three. At the center of her business philosophy is her desire to help others. To that end, Linda created and launched PeepLocal.com in June of 2019 as a means of providing a platform for small businesses to promote their ventures to a local audience.
Linda is clearly onto something, as PeepLocal continues to add 700 new listings weekly. PeepLocal offers a little bit of something for everyone: business listings and search, classified ads, local events and activities, small business-related blog posts and articles, and movie listings.
Unlike its large-scale commercial competitors, PeepLocal offers affordable memberships ranging from $4.50 a month to its upper tier, which is $25.00 a month. Subscribers have the option of canceling at any time. These flexible options give small business owners the opportunity to promote their business without breaking the bank.
Much like Google Local and Yelp, PeepLocal draws small local businesses; once these businesses create their listings, others quickly follow suit, lending a local flavor to a national platform.
Linda wears all the hats for PeepLocal.com, including that of a content creator and SEO expert. She encourages new business owners to optimize their websites and social media accounts with unique content links to other businesses.
Like most entrepreneurs, Linda didn’t have to go it alone; she credits her women’s group and business groups for their insights and support.
Linda Marie encourages new business owners to be consistent and never give up. Secondly, she emphasized the importance of taking advantage of every avenue for publicizing your business, from online press releases to social media accounts.
As membership in PeepLocal.com approaches 20,000 listings, it’s advice well-taken.

Nexus Gate 4037: The AnimalMost important rules of time surveillance; never disrupt your host timeline and never step into the future. Decorated Surveillance Specialist Vivian Leona of 6037 has broken both.
Losing her husband, John Joseph Spruce, in the Nexus of time past, Vivian mistakenly pulls the wrong man into the future, a man recorded by history as having died on that very day in 1837. The consequences for keeping him alive in the future could prove far worse than Vivian bargains for, especially in the American South’s New Golden Age, 4037, where any overt emotion or cause of such, like racism, is seen as a deadly contagion—‘conditions’ cured only by euthanasia.
Slave foreman and bounty hunter ‘Tucker’ John Josephus Spruce of 1837 is called ‘The Animal’ by those he hunts, and a ‘necessary evil’ by those who enlist his skills, but are his ‘talents’ enough to keep him alive when he steps into a deadly snare set twenty-two hundred years in the future where he is now pawn and prey?
Will Tucker John’s instincts lead him towards retribution for his abduction, or will they make Vivian his only ally while setting him on an unexpected hunt for the one not only out for his blood, but the very woman’s he’s purposed to destroy?

Suzanne Johnson is a San Diego-based online financial coach whose clients range in age from early 20s to mid-60s, each with a different financial goal. The most common financial dliemma faced by her client is student loan debt, sometimes in the six figures. By encouraging clients to identify their “why” for budget planning, Suzanne collaborates with them in building budget they can live with, including hobbies or other interests.
Part of Suzanne’s work involves breaking the taboo around money: she discovered that people speak more freely about sex. religion and politics than they do about money. By asking clients to examine their attitudes toward money, they can break free of old messages from early in life and create the financial life they want. Goals such as saving for a home, paying down a mortgage or other debt and trimming excessive spending are all goals that are within reach for motivated individuals, couples families, and businesses.
Suzanne has guided her clients through such financial traps as negative equity car loans, student loan debt, high-interest debt and more. She emphasizes a personalized, real-world approach to budgeting, and would never place a client on an unreasonable or unrealistic budget.
For young people heading off to a four-year college or university, Suzanne highly recommends 5 Mistakes You Can’t Afford to Make In College by Anthony O’Neal and Rachel Cruze. Tools such as the Everydollar app will assist clients in identifying budget problem areas, and addressing them quickly.
Suzanne has been teaching and guiding clients in the financial methods of Dave Ramsey for almost 5 years. She has experience leading Financial Peace University, Smart Money Smart Kids and The Legacy Journey. Suzanne has attended FPU Conferences and EntreLeadership Summit. Prior to becoming a Ramsey Preferred Coach, Suzanne spent 8 years in professional sports and 7 years in commercial real estate. Abuse happens we can't hide from it anymore. Here are the facts: 1 in 4 women are abused. That is a quarter of the women in the US. So now what? How do you get back in your grove?
Writer's block is caused by anything from your own personal dilemmas, to the project itself, or even for no good reason at all!
No matter what the cause, it is possible to clear the fog and press on.
I would like to share with YOU all of my best tips and tricks for beating your writer's block
Ask yourself…
Why do you want to write??? What is your goal?
•Fun
•Publish
•Money

What causes writer’s block?
•Creative problems that originate within an author's work itself
•Other blocks may be produced by adverse circumstances in a writer's life or career…

In this episode, we are going to dive into the mindset of writing and what is keeping you from getting started.
I did a Facebook live a while back on my page. I want you to take notes and ask yourself what's keeping me from achieving the results I want to have.
My primary focus is to help writers manage the writer's block and discover their writing voice. So that is my main focus, my main overall mission.
I did not use writing prompts when I started writing my book idea just came to me and I wrote it down. I wrote down the first paragraph and left it for two days. And then after two days, that's when I really came to me like it all of a sudden the voice just started talking to me and I was like, what is that? I just started writing out the words that the character was telling me.
I finished the book in three months and it's like completely unheard of these days. It takes people a year to actually write a book, but it actually took me three months. I had a really good writing regime down.
We need to get ourselves in a mindset that creates a lot of negativity. It creates all kinds of doubt. It creates everything. And sometimes our mind can be our worst enemy.
I choose this topic because I know so many of you want to learn how to get started writing but let me be honest…mindset is everything.
When I started out writing I knew nothing about what to do or how to get started. I used no writing prompts. I had an idea and I wrote the first paragraph and left it for 2 days. But it wasn’t until this voice came to me. I was like I couldn’t stop, and you know why I couldn’t… because I let the character voice tell me her story. · Sometimes we need to get ourselves out of the way which is our mind that creates all kinds of doubt and negativity.
Let’s dive into today's episode!

Just type a sentence!
We can over-think things a little bit too much.
“Well, I'm going to write this sentence but I have to make sure that there are capital letters. I have to make sure there are quotation marks, make sure it is there's a comma, and period.” STOP IT!
Don't worry about it. Write something down and put it on paper.
In this episode, you're going to get some mind setting tips on how you can push threw those blank pages.
I share a few of my strategies when I started writing my book. It was not easy and it’s not going to be. But you don’t have to make the process of writing daunting.
