We live in a culture obsessed with beauty. Yet, no matter how much beauty we surround ourselves with, the human heart remains restless because worldly beauty is only temporary and was never meant to satisfy the deepest longing of the soul. Turn to John 1 as Lester Villatoro shares how true beauty is revealed in Jesus and why the invitation is not simply to learn about or admire Him, but to behold Him.
Being a child of God is not just an emotional or religious title; it is a profound spiritual reality that transforms the believer's identity, purpose, and way of life. However, this incredible privilege also comes with responsibilities. Join Pastor Edgar Nunez as he breaks this down and launches a new sermon series titled If I Had One Message.
Walking by the Spirit and abiding in Christ aren’t identical phrases, but they describe the same Spirit-empowered life from two complementary angles. Turn to John 15 with Keith Waggoner as he concludes the Summer Series and breaks down how these concepts relate and bring about the growth God desires in every believer.
The Spirit’s conviction is not evidence that God has rejected you. It is evidence that God is still working in you. The Spirit does not convict you to crush you. He convicts you to restore you, to grow you, to lead you into the blessed life that Jesus promised. Rejoin Pr. Keith in Galatians 5 and Ephesians 5, as he addresses the pressing questions introduced last week.
What is influencing your desires, your decisions, your words, your reactions, your relationships, and your obedience? Paul says, “Walk by the Spirit.” He says, “Be filled with the Spirit.” Let the Spirit of God become the One who shapes what comes out of you before it ever comes out of you. Whatever fills you will eventually form you. Follow along as Keith Waggoner looks at what it means to be filled with the Spirit and how that changes the way our lives look.
Before Jesus went to the cross, He promised His disciples they would not be left alone. The Holy Spirit would come to dwell with them and in them. Our hope for change is not found in trying harder, pretending better, or becoming more disciplined by sheer willpower. Join Matt Ritchey in discovering the hope that lives with us and in us!
The flesh may still pull, but it no longer has to lead. You belong to Jesus. His Spirit lives within you. He will lead you into a life you could never produce on your own. Join Keith Waggoner in Galatians 5, looking at the internal battle between the flesh and the Spirit.
Christ has set us free. We do not have to stay trapped in guilt, shame, performance, legalism, selfishness, or the flesh. But knowing we are free is not the same as living free.
Rest in the King who can cleanse you, keep you, complete you, and bring you home with joy! Trust Him. Fight sin with hope. Contend for the faith with confidence. And worship the King who is able.
You are called to become the real thing. Not knock-off Christianity or something that only looks real for a while. No, you and I have been called to a faith that lasts. Follow along in Jude 1 as Keith Waggoner addresses this passage’s call on Christians and the steps to becoming a built-to-last believer.
We live in a world full of spiritual voices, and not every voice that uses Christian words is leading people to Christ. Jude isn’t inviting us to become suspicious people. He is calling us to become faithful people. People who know the gospel, love the truth, recognize distortion, and contend for the faith. Join Keith Waggoner in Jude as he kicks off a new series titled "The Battle For Truth."
Every choice has consequences, good and/or bad. However, our free will won't hinder God's sovereign will. When facing decisions, the process is clear: saturate yourself in Scripture, seek godly counsel, examine your motives, and choose what most honors God. Follow along in Colossians 1 and Ephesians 5 as Matt Ritchey shares how seeking wisdom allows us to walk God’s way through day-to-day situations.
God’s will for parents is not hidden; it’s deeply relational and intentional. You are called to impress truth on your children, not just instruct them occasionally. Parenting wisely isn’t about controlling outcomes; it’s about faithfully planting truth, modeling faith, and trusting God with the results. Join Matt Ritchey in Deuteronomy 6 as he speaks on parents' role in discipling their children.
God isn’t trying to control every decision you make. He’s trying to shape the kind of person who makes good decisions. He grows us in wisdom. Turn to Proverbs 2 as Keith Waggoner teaches on wisdom’s connection to our relationship with God.
Every relationship begins when someone moves first. And when it comes to knowing God, it’s never us. It’s always Him. From the beginning, God has been the one initiating. The Bible doesn’t begin with a silent God, but a speaking God. Join Keith Waggoner in Hebrews 1 as he points to the primary way that God speaks.
You don’t have to worry about being in God’s will when you pursue His Kingdom, obey His Word, and live for His glory. When your priorities change, peace begins to follow. God’s peace goes hand in hand with embracing God’s priorities! Turn to Matthew 6 as Keith Waggoner dives deeper into what it means to know and follow the will of God.
There’s a lot of confusion when it comes to the will of God. And for many people, it creates a quiet fear: What if I miss it? What if one wrong decision changes everything? Join Keith Waggoner in kicking off Clarity, a new series centered on learning how to trust God’s sovereignty, follow His Word, and make decisions without fear.
What if Jesus’s final words on the cross weren’t words of defeat, but words of accomplishment? What if “It is finished” didn’t mean it was over, but that everything necessary had just been completed? Join Keith Waggoner on this Easter Sunday as he concludes the Last Words series and celebrates the resurrection of our Savior.
The question underneath this entire passage is: Do I trust Him? Can I trust God enough to go with Him even when I don’t understand where He’s leading? Can you trust Him enough to say, “Father, I’m all yours.” Join Keith Waggoner in Luke 23 as he looks at the significance of Christ’s last words on the cross.
The Cross is the turning point of history. Jesus faced our deepest fears alone so we could be near to God. In perfect obedience, He did for us what we could not do and satisfied the payment for sin. Turn to Matthew 27 as Matt Ritchey continues the Last Words series.
Final words matter. They reveal what is ultimate. And the final words of Christ are not gasps of defeat; they are declarations of victory. Join Matt Ritchey in Luke 23, as he introduces a new series titled "Last Words."
When it comes to spiritual warfare, people normally either obsess over demons or deny the battle exists at all. Scripture reminds us that an unseen spiritual battle is real, whether we recognize it or not. Please turn to Ephesians 6 as Pr. Keith addresses Paul’s call to believers to be ready and suit up.
The gospel doesn’t just change what we believe; it changes how we live together. Your marriage is telling a story. What story is it telling? Join Keith Waggoner in Ephesians 5 as he breaks down the key components of a faithful marriage.
In Ephesians 4, Paul challenged believers to live a life worthy of the calling revealed in the first three chapters. He continues in chapter 5 by filling in the picture and urging Christians to imitate Christ in every part of their walk. Join Pr. Keith as he unpacks the steps to grow into a true resemblance of the Father.
For us to walk differently, we must identify what no longer fits. Do an honest assessment: what in your life doesn’t match Christ? Here’s the deal: you can’t put on the new while you’re still holding on to the old. Join Pastor Keith in Ephesians 4 for this message in the Walk This Way series.
The question is not whether God wants to use you. The question is whether you’re willing. You don’t have to do everything, but you are called to do something. Turn to Ephesians 4 with Keith Waggoner as he addresses the calling on every Christian’s life.
The abundant life — the fullness of God — is the promise of the Gospel. In Christ, you receive true riches, not what the world offers, but what God supplies through His Spirit. Open to Ephesians 3 as Matt Ritchey brings the next message from the Walk This Way series.
Because of Jesus, we have access to one God, we belong to one family, and we are being built into one dwelling place. Join Keith Waggoner in Ephesians 2, looking at the unity and peace found in Christ.
The question is not whether labels exist. The question is, which voice will you believe? Will you live under the labels that were spoken over you or under the identity God has spoken for you? Please join Pr. Keith in Ephesians 1 in this message from the Walk This Way series.
The question today isn’t, “Have you tried hard enough?” Or “Have you maintained a perfect report card?” The question is simply this: Are you resting in what Christ has already done? Follow along in Ephesians 2 as Pastor Keith shares four truths we must understand about salvation.
Spiritual growth doesn’t begin with trying harder; it starts with seeing more clearly. That’s why Paul opens his letter to the Ephesians with a prayer. Not that God would change their circumstances, but that God would open their eyes. Join Pr Keith in Ephesians 1 for a new series titled, Walk This Way.
As we approach the New Year, there is one resolution that can leave a lasting imprint on not just this year, but a lifetime. No matter your title, you have the opportunity to listen, reflect on what God has done, and obey his calling. If you resolve to live out your faith, you have the potential to leave a legacy that lasts. Join Trey Waggoner as he shares from Psalm 78.
A person who has received Christ has literally received the Light. However, we aren’t just receivers of Light, we’re also carriers of Light. Christmas is not just about Light coming to us; it’s about Light now shining through us. Join Keith Waggoner in John 1 as he concludes this sermon series.
Walking in the light means living truthfully and without secrets, knowing we have nothing to hide. The light reveals that past sins are not scars of shame but of victory. It is only through living in the power and presence of God and His light that we can have freedom and clarity. Pr. Matt Ritchey continues The Light series with this sermon from John 1, 1st John 1, and Romans 13.
Just as light depends on energy, our own “light”— our ability to act, love, create, and influence positively — depends on being connected to something sustaining. The light of Christ offers life and restoration, allowing us to become a reflection of His light to the world. Join Pr. Matt Ritchey, as he explores what is meant by the metaphor “The Light has come.”
You don’t have to return to darkness. You can experience God’s presence, His protection, and His direction. The Light has come and is here! This is the Light of Christmas! Join Pr. Keith Waggoner in John 1 as he lays the foundation for a new series titled The Light.
Jesus doesn’t just save people from their past; He sends them into their future with a story to tell. We are carriers of a story. We have the ministry of reconciliation. What Jesus did for me, he can do for you! Please join Pr. Keith in John 4, looking at the elements of a Thanksgiving testimony and concluding the special sharing of Thanksgiving stories.
The enemy wants you to believe that you’re identified by scars. You are, but it’s not your scars. You are defined by the scars of Jesus. Scars that He has so you and I can have a seat at His table. Please turn to 2nd Samuel 9 for this week's message.
In John 9, Jesus heals a blind man. Further, this passage shows him learning how to articulate what Jesus has done in his life. It reminds us that grace isn’t meant to be kept quiet, but shared. When the light of Jesus opens your eyes, it’s not just for you to see; it’s so others can see Him through you. Join Keith Waggoner as he presents the second sermon in the I'd Like To Testify series.
Your testimony is not just personal; it’s powerful. It’s one of the greatest weapons God has given you against the enemy. The saints in Revelation didn’t overcome through strength or status, but by the blood of the lamb, the word of their testimony, and a surrendered life. Join Lester Villatoro in Revelation 12 as he introduces a new sermon series.
Jesus’s final words to His disciples were not a suggestion, but a command backed by His authority and His presence. The Great Commission is not for someone else; it’s for all of us. Join Pr. Matt Ritchey in Matthew 28, calling the church to boldness, confident that the One who calls us also goes with us.
Jeremiah 29 was written to exiles, people far from home, living in Babylon. When God placed His people in exile, He told them to seek the peace and prosperity of the city where He sent them. If God called his people to seek the peace of the most wicked city of its time, why wouldn’t He call us to do the same thing for our city?
Throughout each generation, a danger for the church is to cease being a movement of people on mission and become an organization solely focused on providing programming to religious people. That’s not at all what things looked like when the Church was launched. Join Pr. Keith in Acts 1 as he continues For Our City, For Our World.
Please join guest speaker, Saji Lukos, as he concludes the 2025 missions conference and kicks off a new series titled: For Our City, For Our World. He will be speaking from Psalm 96, looking at reasons to proclaim God's greatness among the nations.
Our faith is unstoppable, not because of us, but because it’s grounded in the victory of Jesus. John is closing his letter with rock-solid certainty: as children of God, we can live confident that we belong to Him, that our prayers are heard, and that nothing can separate us from His love. Join Pr. Keith Waggoner in the conclusion of the Unfiltered Faith.
When we truly know God — the source of all love — fear loses its grip on our hearts. God’s love secures us, assures us, and calls us to extend that same love to others. We are no longer bound by fear of judgment or failure, because His love has been made complete in us through Christ. Join Pr. Matt Ritchey for this week's sermon from 1st John 4.
True faith begins with the wonder of God’s love, that we are called His children, and that identity leads to faithful obedience. God’s children live with a hope that changes us now and secures us forever. Join Pr. Keith as he speaks on hope and the changes we experience when abiding in Christ.
As we continue in 1st John 2, John puts up two big spiritual warning signs for us. The question is: will we take God’s warnings seriously, or will we brush up against them just to see if He really means it? Please join Pr. Keith as he addresses these warnings.
Sanctification is an increasing separation from sin that happens as you move more into spiritual maturity, increasingly becoming like Jesus Christ. Please join Pastor Keith in 1st John 2, where he will break down the stages of faith and share advice for each step of the journey.
Love isn’t just a new command, it’s the heartbeat of God’s people. In fact, John is going to show us that love isn’t optional or theoretical; it’s how God’s truth shows up in our lives and how we assure our hearts before Him. The question isn’t if we should love, but how — with action, generosity, and truth.
This profound truth is what allows us to not wallow in our failure, but to get up and keep moving forward in obedience. Not because we have to earn back His favor, but because we already have it through Jesus Christ. We obey because we love Him. And this obedience produces a fruit-bearing assurance. We’re not just safe; we’re changed and even our lives bear evidence of this transformation.
1st John 1 points out that the blood of Jesus has a past, present, and future power. We can know for a fact that our past is past, thanks to the blood of Jesus. We are forgiven! “What if I sin?” Confess it. As we confess, we are cleansed. Join Pastor Keith as he further explores this passage.
We’re going to see that there is a difference between walking in darkness, living in habitual, rebellious sin, and sinful acts. We’re also going to see that for every believer who thinks that they’re marked by failure, there is good news. Please turn to 1st John as Pr. Keith Waggoner kicks off a new sermon series.
Join Pr. Roe Dudley in Daniel 6 as he looks at the power, perspective, and posture of prayer.
This sermon from Daniel 5 presents the question: Do you live with a sense of eternal urgency or earthly complacency? Please join Pr. Edgar Nunez as he continues the Dare to Be series.
As we jump into Daniel 4, it's important to note something unique: this is the only chapter in the Bible written by a pagan king. It’s King Nebuchadnezzar’s personal account of how Yahweh intervened in his life, humbling Nebuchadnezzar before God brought about transformation and restoration.
It’s been said every person has a price — that given the right offer, the right pressure, or the right threat, even the strongest convictions can crumble. Maybe it’s wealth. Maybe it’s acceptance. Maybe it’s safety. Today we meet three men who showed Babylon — and us — that some convictions aren’t for sale at any price.
Jesus Christ is the stone the builders rejected, but he has now become the cornerstone for a whole new world. If you understand Jesus in those ways, you can live a life like Daniel. Dare to be a Daniel, a real Daniel. Not the self-made, self-reliant person that we strive to be, but the God-saved, God-reliant person Jesus died to make us be.
The example of Daniel teaches us to not blame God for our pain but to run to Him in faith in the midst of it. We are living in Babylon, this world, in the midst of an invisible system that is opposed to God. What should be our response?
Join Pastor Keith as he lays the foundation for a new series in Daniel and establishes a key theme of defying the world, just as Daniel defied Babylon. Daniel’s story in Babylon begins with an early resolution: I’m not going to defile myself. Dare to be a Daniel!
The parable we are about to examine today is sobering. More than sobering, it is a wake-up call for people who are on the fast track toward eternal devastation. Please join Pastor Keith in Luke 16 as he wraps up the Moral of the Story series.
Here’s my message for prodigals and Pharisees: You can come home. You can come in. Come to your senses. Prodigals, look around at where you sin has taken you, what it’s taken from you. Pharisees, look at what your self-justification has done to you. The irritation, the hard heart, the critical spirit, the anger at sinners. You have a father who is not abusive, hard to please, or distant. You have a Father who runs with arms wide open.
Being a good neighbor begins by coming into the kingdom yourself. The transformation of regeneration. But a citizen of the kingdom always has a calling. To speak the gospel, share it with words. To show the gospel, share it by being a merciful catalyst of change. Will you receive it? Will you do it? Will you be it?
Join Pastor Matt Ritchey for the fourth episode of the series Moral of the Story, looking at Matthew 25 and The Parable of the Talents.
In Matthew 25, Jesus made it clear that His return would be obvious. However, he also made it clear that it will be unexpected. We are to be watching and waiting in eager anticipation. Are you ready?
Forgiveness is unnatural. And if you only deal with it at the surface level, then you’ll settle for an artificial forgiveness that isn’t real and is only temporary. Real forgiveness comes only from a changed heart.
Join Pastor Keith for the first episode in a new series titled "Moral of the Story," beginning with the parable in Matthew 13.
Your story says that you’re in the middle of an impossible circumstance, but your Savior says that nothing is impossible with me. Your story says that you are dead, but your Savior says I came back to life and conquered death and specialize in bringing dead things to life. Don’t let you story define you, let the Savior define you. Because, as long as you look to your Savior there is always hope!
This is why we can celebrate: Jesus is alive!
Join Keith Waggoner once more in Mark 8 as he explores practical steps on the journey of discipleship.
There are three reoccurring themes that show up in Mark: Who is Jesus? Why did Jesus come? How should we respond? You’re going to see these three themes in this week's passage, Mark 8, as we continue to focus on our response to who Jesus is and what He has done.
Join in for episode 4 of the Best News Ever as Pr. Keith looks at Mark 15 and the significance of the cross.
The war is over, we are freed, our future is changed, and our headline is rewritten! This is all because of the gospel, the good news that God saves sinners, no matter their story, through Christ. It is good news for everyone!
Just as Joshua made a choice, so must we. Are we going to be a Christian home in name only, blending in with the culture, or will we be a Christ-centered home? Let’s make our choice: we will serve the Lord.
One by one, the victories will be read and celebrated. The scoreboard will tell the story. But it’s not going to talk about how great we were. It’s going to tell the incredible story of how great God was.
Post-surrender, we walk in the Spirit. What’s that mean? We constantly depend on His strength, remain aware of our need, stay confident in His work and submit to His leading. Guess what happens? God shows up again. His promises are there again.
Our openness to and desire to follow God and to his people is a preview into our future fate. Are you hiding behind walls or gathering up people to protect?
God doesn’t just call us to things we expect to be called to. Sometimes, He leads us to things that we feel unequipped or ill-equipped to handle. Things way outside our comfort zone.
Before you take the land, before you move forward, before you fight, do this: Remember. Remember what God has done. Build a monument.
We don’t prepare for the coming of the Hebrews, but we do live with an eye toward the second coming of our Joshua (Jeshua)—Jesus Christ. God’s grace offers you hope and a future. Stop holding yourself back if God is calling you forward.
The same incredible, powerful force that raised Christ from the dead will turn every “I can’t” into “I can’t, but God can.” Yes, every saint has a past, but every sinner has a future. God is calling us forward. What’s holding you back? Kill the excuses. Let’s go!
A new year is an intuitive time to do some self-assessment, to set goals, and to focus on what could potentially bring the transformation we long to see.
Jesus is the central point of history and your story. Have you come to know him? That’s what God has been saying to you, even in all of your pain or in chasing after pleasure. He’s trying to get you to see that life is fragile, and that there is no joy on earth that can sustain you or fill you. You were created for something more. There is a love and a joy from outside this world that will transform your life if you will receive it and His name is JESUS.
Stop sinning. Start serving.
Have you shared your story? Are you ready to share your story? Part of being a witness is your story of faith and how God has been faithful to you.
Are you living out your name? It’s what leads to the blessed life. The blessed life begins with a right attitude.
What a waste that would be. Are you wasting God’s gift to you? God in love has called us to holiness. God in love has provided everything we need for holiness. Which means that you and I can walk in obedience to God’s Word and live a life of holiness. Holiness isn’t just expected by God; it’s a promise from God for you. “Be holy as I am holy.” Don’t be scared. Be thankful. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
For the last month and a half, we’ve been breaking down Paul’s teaching in Colossians 3, looking at this chapter specifically in a family context. Paul makes it clear that if we have been truly saved our lives are hidden with Christ in God, but the fruit of that life is not hidden. It’s visible. It’s most visible in our relationships with other people.
Harmony. It’s the instruments playing the intended notes together, something that results in beautiful music. It’s two people who have stopped fighting with God and have begun working together to both keep and make peace. This is the Good Life!
Don’t live reactively; live proactively. Your identity is in Christ. Your destiny is to be with Christ. Your priority is to live for Christ. Is there something for which you’ve dropped the cross so you could pick up something else? As a spouse, parent, grandparent, or single adult where do you feel the pressure to be conformed to the world? Deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Christ.
Yet, if your joy is in the God of your salvation, "Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls," you can rejoice in the LORD.
If God could do something, why doesn't He? We have all felt this tension at some point: Why do the wicked prosper? Why should someone who is an unbeliever hove it good while you suffer?
The pathway to the abundant life that Jesus came to give you and I is through sacrifice. First of all, through the sacrifice of Jesus and secondly through the sacrifice of offering our entire lives back to Him.
Today, I want to talk to people who like Jesus, but struggle to trust God the Father. As a result, your worship is hindered.
Tim Keep from Shepherds Global Classroom (“SGC”) shares a message on the six realities about suffering.
https://www.shepherdsglobal.org
Our belief in the gospel is more than a proclamation; it’s a demonstration. It’s faith in blue jeans.
If you are fed up, beat up, mixed up, jacked up, worked up, you slipped up and maybe you’re ready to give up, I have a message for you. It’s really simple: Don’t quit.
The answer for the guilt, the unsettledness, that soul disquiet, can only be found by finding peace with God through the blood of Jesus’ cross and the power of new life in His resurrection!
"So, let us move forward, toward maturity, to gain a greater understanding of our knowledge of who Jesus is and the faith we have believed, do not give up!"
What is the Sabbath? The gospel offers rest from hurry, overwork, and the motivations behind it. But we must enter into “His rest”.
In spite of trials, in spite of ridicule, in spite of hardship, in spite of temptations, in spite of doubt, in spite of sins and failures, we don’t quit, we don’t walk away from the faith, we don’t go back to a life of sin.
Look to Jesus. This is how I would introduce Jesus to you: He’s the King who stepped into your story; the Champion who fought for you; the Brother who’s not ashamed of you; and the High Priest who can help you once and for all.
You don’t merely need an example; you don’t need another command; you need a Savior in Whom to trust and find refuge. Jesus is the Name above all names. Jesus is greater!
When you experience the resurrection, you are given a new life, a living hope, a new power, a new perspective. It changes everything.
Even if your faith is hanging on by a thread, that’s enough. Jesus can restore you today. You’ve failed, but your faith doesn’t have to. Turn and after you’ve turned tell somebody else about it.
Don’t base your assurance on your feelings, what people think, life’s circumstances, or anything other than this: the finished work of Christ. This alone is the basis of true, scriptural, rock-solid assurance. You can say with John, “Thanks to Christ’s work, I know that I have eternal life!”
As we acknowledge our helplessness, pray for the Spirit’s help, walk in faith, do what we know to be right, we can say with all the saints, “Not I, but the Spirit of Christ within me.” Thanks be to God! To him be glory for ever and ever! Amen!
There are some simple facts about the church. Jesus founded it. Jesus died for it. Jesus commissioned it. Jesus is still leading it. In spite of those facts, the church is NOT perfect.
I can’t even measure up to human standards, much less God’s righteous standard. How in the world can I be godly when I can’t hit the mark in other areas of life?
This is the best news in the world for people who are sick and tired of staying where they are always going back to the old sins. God’s Word offers incredible hope for those of you who have started to believe that you can’t live this life. You can!
So, faith in Christ alone is the root of justification. How can we tell if we possess faith or merely profess faith?
The foundation of your faith matters. We’re going to begin by looking at what is at the heart of the gospel. If we get this wrong, everything else will be wrong.
Should we take inventory and evaluate the past year and make a plan for the future? Absolutely! But before we do that, I had this thought. What if we took some time to seek what God wants to do in the coming year?
You see, the gift of Christ is for everyone. The gift of salvation is for everyone who believes on His name and responds to His invitation. There’s no point in celebrating His arrival if we don’t accept His salvation. What good is Jesus being born in Bethlehem if He isn’t born in your heart?
What should we be known for? Does our reason for existence align with God’s purpose for the Church?
There are good fears and there are bad fears. Good fears can save your life; bad fears can paralyze your life.
Sometimes, our barrenness is the setup for the miracle. Until then, pray, hope, believe.
The Word of God doesn’t even try to fully describe everything that awaits in Heaven, so we can’t possibly know everything about Heaven. However, just because we don’t know everything doesn’t mean we can’t know some things. Let me describe five things we can know about Heaven...
There are only two options: eternity with God (heaven) or eternity without God (hell). Hell’s misery is deep, but not as deep as God’s love. Pastor Keith continues to share in our Overcome Part 2 Series for the book of Revelation.
What if I’ve already cheated on God? Admit your need. Confess. The consequences of concealment are far greater than the consequences of confession. Just come clean. We can be forgiven AND free in Christ. Pray for help. Trust God’s promise. Move forward in faith. And, above all, look forward to the wedding!
May we be marked by faithfulness to Christ and His cause. Today, we suffer. Tomorrow, we celebrate!
As the end gets closer, the day gets darker. As the day gets darker, the saints shine brighter. As the saints shine brighter, the world sees clearer. Satan is real, powerful, and deceptive. But he is eternally doomed and can be overcome!
When an alarm goes off in the middle of the night, you can’t just ignore it. It’s meant to wake you up. It’s meant to warn you. It’s meant to keep you from dying. What we are going read about the trumpets is important. It’s a description of what is going to happen to the ungodly because of their persecution of the saints, their rebellion, and their idolatry. However, I don’t want you to miss this: it’s a description of justice (victory for the saints), but today, it’s also a warning for those who are living in rebellion.
No more death. No more suffering. No more pain. One day, we will see Heaven. One day, we will see Jesus. One day, we won’t ever ask the why question again.
It’s a hope anchored by the resurrection. Erase the resurrection, you’ve lost all that is promised in God’s Word. Embrace the resurrection, you have access to a hope that is unshaken. We rejoice in the defeat of death and the hope of glory. Graves turned into gardens. But, it’s a hope known only by the Christian. Do you have this hope today?
You need to know basics about who we are as a church and how we interpret certain passages. However, we’re not going to divide with other churches if their services look different than ours. Churches should be very similar in belief, but may have different expressions of what they believe.
We continue our series in 1st Corinthians and Keith shares about how to make the church great again.
God is always a God of restoration. What does this mean to me? I love how James 4:6-8 spells it out: But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20: “You are not your own for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”
We started of this series by looking at the importance of unity. If we are going to have unity, we must embrace the motto of being spiritually mature…That kind of person humbly makes it all about Christ, not themselves. Pastor Matt takes through further into 1 Corinthians, looking at having freedom in Jesus.
This battle we are in doesn’t feel like a war but more like we are lost. The deception of the enemy has us all turned around and we’re not sure which way to go. Matt Ritchey wraps up the Battle Ready Series.
In all of this, pray! This isn’t’ about checking it off the list, it’s about drawing close to God. A lot of people don’t want to go to hell but they don’t want to draw close to God. Big Point: If you love and follow Jesus you will obey His commands.
Matt Ritchey continues the series, Battle Ready, this weeks message is: Preparation: Getting Ready for Battle.
Matt Ritchey starts a new series, Battle Ready, this weeks message is: Intelligence: Know your Enemy.
We witness to both the sobering reality that there is a day of judgment coming, but also witness to the incredible hope of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Heaven is celebrating the outcome of the game before the game is over and so should we.
Overcoming is only possible if we come to Christ and depend fully upon Him. Keith Waggoner continues the Overcome Series.
Don’t give up. Don’t lose your reward! If you don’t, you also will be part of that victorious procession!
True repentance is focused on the condition of a person’s heart in light of the standard and expectation of a holy God. Repentance is to completely change one’s position from self-centered to submission to God. Christ rebukes and we don’t fight; we change. Change your mind. Change your pattern. Change your behavior. Change your schedule. Change your attitude. Get back to those things you were doing before, when your love for Jesus was more vibrant and alive.
But Jesus isn’t. And, if he has his way with us, thoughts of his return won’t disappoint his children. He, too, is away from his family. He, too, has promised to return. My children don’t understand all the reasons why I have to leave; we don’t understand all the details of his. But our job in the meantime? Trust. Soon the final chapter will be crafted and He’ll appear at the door. But until then Jesus says: “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me.
Today, we’re not commemorating a past event; we are celebrating a present reality. Jesus Christ is risen and He is with us! Jesus Christ is still in the story. And He wants to write you a new story, too.
Sin is a problem that has to be dealt with. Salvation must be sought and received. But it will always begin with recognition: Jesus truly is the Son of God. And what He did, He did for me.
"Jesus came from Heaven to accomplish His work on earth so that we who are on earth can have a home with Him in Heaven."
The Great Commission begins with the Great Announcement, and the power to go far and do much in the Great Commission comes from confidence in the Great Announcement. Go. But know that you don’t go alone. There will never be a time when He won’t be with you.
At the end of the day, the cross and the hope of the final judgment of Christ tells me this: Every sin will either be paid for in hell or by Jesus. Justice will be served.
Salvation comes not by strength but by a gift given to those weak enough to receive it. And the same with God’s power: It comes, not through extraordinary talent, but by simply yielding yourself in weakness and faith to the Spirit of God.
See, God is not merely a God who feels emotion; He acts. Specifically, God is a God who saves. He does so, not only for our rescuing, but for the glory of His name. I like how Tim Keller put it: "Jesus is the only God who, if you find Him, will satisfy you; and if you fail Him, will forgive you; and if you run from Him, will pursue you." But you have a choice to make. Will it be the God who saves or a false god who enslaves?
Christianity never starts with, “Do.” It says, first, you have to receive something before you can do. A lot of people think Christianity starts with doing: “Clean up your life. Get self-control. Be perseverant. Become loving.” No. Peter does not say, “First, you do.” He says, “First, you must receive something. If you are not growing in these ways, you have forgotten the gospel.”
Spiritual disciplines do not merit justification. However, spiritual disciplines do facilitate sanctification and discipleship. You have to do something to become like Christ and experience the abundant life He so willingly offers. It starts with turning away from your sin and asking Christ to become not just your forgiver, but your decision maker.
If there is a lack in intimacy, you have given opportunity to the devil. Seek the relationship. Christ pursues you; pursue Him.
We have everything we need to grow spiritually. We have to know what Christ has promised, what we are called to, and what He can and will do.
"Our fears are quieted in Jesus. Our longings are satisfied in Jesus. Our questions are answered in Jesus. No wonder the wise men rejoiced exceedingly with great joy: they had found the answer to their quest."
Joseph’s life tells us, “It’s worth it. God keeps His promises. Jesus is worth the pain and the shame and the shattered dreams and even death if it comes.” Don’t miss out on Jesus.
He offers rest to you. Which is what some of you most need at Christmas 2022. Rest for a weary soul. It’s in Christ. John 1:12: But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
Admitting your sins and failures isn’t fun. Repentance and turning away from your old life isn’t easy. But the reward on the other side is greater than anything else this world can offer. The hope, the freedom, the purpose, the closeness with Jesus – you won’t find anything out there that even comes close.
Listen in to this short, but powerful message from our Thanksgiving service, by Pastor Keith.
Our story is simple: If God can do it for me, He can do it for you!
My story is God’s glory! Share your story.
God doesn’t reward perfect faith. Actually, Jesus perfects our faith. And He rewards our faith as we seek understand, encounter Him personally, and get up and act.
We’re in a battle but we know the end of the story. Until the end of the story is realized, though, we live intentionally. How? By walking carefully, maximizing the time we’ve been given, by depending on the Holy Spirit when facing life’s pressures, by keeping the song going, by worshiping together, and by consciously living lives of thanksgiving.
This message is not for condemnation, it’s for encouragement. If God spoke to you about anything, sin, sexual sin, things in your past, know this: FAILURE ISN’T FINAL WITH THE FATHER! God can create beauty from ashes. That’s just what He does.
Are you ready and willing to take the whole Christian faith? Are you ready and willing to take the negative with the positive? It’s the only way it comes. If you are willing to say no to yourself, there are all kinds of yeses ready to come flooding into your life. That’s the promise of the Scripture. Are you ready to do that? You don’t have to be a Christian in name only. You can be saved, transformed, not trying to obey to become a child, but obeying because you are a child. You can be saved today.
THE BIG POINT: MARRIAGE IS A GOSPEL-CENTERED, HOLY SYMBOL
MARRIAGE IS NOT THE ULTIMATE RELATIONSHIP
MARRIAGE IS NOT THE MEASURE OF A SIGNIFICANT LIFE
MARRIAGE IS NOT THE ANSWER TO OUR DEEPEST LONGING OR THE SOLUTION FOR OUR SIN
As we acknowledge our helplessness, pray for the Spirit’s help, walk in faith, do what we know to be right, we can say with all the saints, “Not I, but the Spirit of Christ within me.” Thanks be to God! To him be glory for ever and ever! Amen!
Whatever is crumbling all around you in your life, this is true and constant: His heart for you, the real you, the one you try to hide, is gentle and lowly. So go to Him. That place where you feel most defeated or most anxious, He is there. As Dane Ortlund puts it, “He lives there, right there, and His heart for you, not on the other side of it, but in the darkness, is gentle and lowly.”
God help me to cultivate what you’re producing in me.
God, I commit to keep step with the Holy Spirit.
The fruit of the spirit is simply the visible qualities of your relationship with Christ that people want. Lets live in such a way that people will see our joy and want it for themselves.
We live by the Spirit and keep in step with the Spirit. This is the walk of holiness. This is the fruit of the Spirit.
What if you understood what is yours in Christ thanks to His work and His Spirit? How could that transform the way you live?
We have a choice: we can become a social club where we all look alike, talk alike, and feel good about ourselves when we leave a Sunday service. Or we can, "let [our] light shine before others, so that they may see [our] good works and give glory to [our] Father who is in heaven."
In Christ, all things are new but just to be sure and put it to rest, have a talk with Jesus. He’s always available.
Know when to fight and when to withdraw. Know when to get away to renew. Our Savior cares about souls and bodies, so don’t withhold asking Him about anything. Begin with what you have and trust Him to do the rest. God just might do the miracle through you.
Point people to Jesus. The gospel is lived, yes. But the gospel (the good news) becomes the gospel when spoken.
Don’t be surprised if God begins to refine our church so He can use us to breathe life into our city. God’s love is refining and life-giving. God’s love will not flow through you until He changes you.
Church, there is a purpose. God has given us a mission, but God has also given us a specific calling. There is a purpose, there is a call, there is a power greater than me. God’s calling is worth giving my life to. God is able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think or can even imagine. What if we lived as if that were true?
The only way to receive grace is to admit you need it. Crush the idol of self-righteousness: “God owes me.” Crush the idol of faith in religious practices: “God will do things for me.” Crush the idol of secret sins that keep us from coming back. Those sins we love so much we won’t let go of. “I need this to satisfy. I need this.” You need grace. The only way to encounter grace is to admit it, believe it, and crush anything that keeps you from it.
Instead of fighting the storm, fighting God, raise the white flag. Surrender. Repent. Return.
f you’re a rebel, turn to Christ. If you’re a follower trying to make sense of where you are, trust in Christ. If you’re not dead, God’s not done.
You’re not canceled. THE RESURRECTION CANCELS WHAT IS TRYING TO CANCEL ME. Jesus has canceled sin, death, and hopeless so that you and I can live.

Acts 1:8-11
The Holy Spirit is the Game Changer when it comes to revival. After describing who the Holy Spirit is and what the Holy Spirit does, Pastor Keith contrasts life in the Spirit with a life without the Spirit.
Acts 1:1-11
In this message, Pastor Keith identifies who the church is and what the church is to be about.
He is here. If you don’t get anything else, know this: Christmas means that He came near to us so that could be near to Him.
Jesus came to dwell. He came to change us from the inside out. Will you be changed today? Jesus came to be your meaning and your messiah.
Will you receive the Gift of Christ? Paralambano: receive into yourself. Or will you settle for merely seeing the gift, handling the gift, or opening the gift? At the end of the day, there are only two options: we either receive or reject. Receive today!
The Light is here. The Light has come. We can know God is with us, for us, and leading us, as we walk in the light, following the Light of the world.
Thanksgiving begins by:
Listen, there is a party planned in heaven today. You are either going to be the reason for the party, a person who celebrates with the party, or a person who misses the party. Come home. Come in. Let’s celebrate. Heaven’s headline can read: The Prodigal came back home!
Without love we are nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. All we’re doing is making noise. God has not called us and placed us here to be noisemakers; He has placed us here to be difference-makers.
Jesus is coming again. The urgent question that must be answered is this: Are you ready?
Yes, the first sin was within the context of marriage, but the first acts of mercy and grace were also within the context of marriage. The first hint of Christ was given within the context of marriage. Because of Christ, we can be healed.
THE BIG PURPOSE OF MARRIAGE: TO SERVE AS A LIVING WITNESS TO GOD’S LOVE FOR AND COMMITMENT TO US
Here it is: you choose today. You choose this day, are we going to be a Christian home in name only, blending in with the culture, or are we going to be a Christ-centered home? Am I going to live it? Am I going to lead it? Dads, moms, grandmas, grandpas, sons, daughters, let’s make our choice.
Your greatest gift to someone is your testimony of who you have found God to be.
THERE IS POWER IN YOUR TESTIMONY!
How many of you are desperate for more of God? How many are thirsty? Come thirsty. If you’re spiritually dry, you’re not spiritually dead. Big difference. You just need some water. You need revival.
See, the path matters. “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.”
And if speaking the truth requires you to say something challenging to someone, make sure you communicate your positive desire that the truth you speak will set them free. May we all learn and utilize the lesson of the cranes and take seriously the point of this series, watch your mouth.
Ultimately, words are a window to our heart. As important as it is to have our mouth cleansed, our soul must be cleansed first. But, GODLY TRANSFORMATION REQUIRES OUR COOPERATION.
Whoever controls the tongue, controls the future. How many of you are willing to apply this this week?
God’s will is going to be done in us, for us, and through us. We could say of any one of these things, it would have been enough. Yet, there’s more. In Christ and by the Spirit we have everything we need!
Here’s the good news: In Christ, that’s not who you are. It used to be you, but it isn’t anymore. You are in Christ. And in Christ, my real self delights in the Lord. I want more of Him. I want to please Him. And so I come back to Him. I confess, I repent, and I walk forward knowing this: I am victorious through the work of Jesus Christ alone.
The applause we hear, God’s applause, will be because Christ’s work not ours. My only boasting can be in Christ and His work for me on the cross.
The greatest challenge is not your discipline, your devotion, your focus. Your greatest challenge is believing the Gospel. Could it be that there’s a God with a love so scandalous, so wide, so deep, so vast, so high, so expansive, so welcoming? There is.
He paid. What will your response be?
We repent of our false righteousness, our false justification, and boast in Christ and His work alone. But now, a perfect righteousness is revealed apart from the law through your performance. It’s a righteousness that comes upon you. It comes to you, and it’s the end of your struggle. You are freely justified by faith through the blood of Christ.
True repentance and salvation will lead to obedience. The work of your hands will reflect the attitude of you heart.
The gospel is the good news of victory in the face of today’s headlines. The gospel trumps the darkness every time as we respond in faith.
I know there is much to be fearful of, much to mourn about the state of faith in this world, but take heart my friend—Jesus is building his Church, and the gates of hell have not, nor will they, frustrate his plans for her.
You will not grow until you let go. You can move forward. Your chains can be broken. But, you have to crawl up on the altar.
Forgiveness is the key to you walking out of jail. I’ll never forget being locked inside a padded cell with nothing but the face of the lady I was trying to escape filling the window. I never want to go back to that again, literally or figuratively. To get out, we have to face the hurt head-on.
You might feel like it’s Saturday, but just hold on Sunday is coming! It’s time for a resurrection. The dead can come to life, the sinner can receive grace, the hopeless can become optimists. Jesus took care of it!
What are you desperate for today? At some level all of us are desperate for something. More money, healed marriage, a restored relationship or maybe just a relationship, desperate for peace, something to believe in, desperate for answers, you lie awake at night waiting for…… fill in the blank.
In the cave, on the run, in your darkest moment, I just wonder if God is still asking that question: What are you doing here? He’s asking not to shame or rebuke, but so we can move forward into health and His calling.
The journey is too great for you. You need rest, food, and strength. God won’t necessarily keep you from running, but He’ll run with you. There are lessons to be learned.
This season of the story isn’t the end. In fact, as we’re going to see, God sometimes teaches us more about Himself in dark seasons than He does happy seasons.
God hasn’t called us to the mission field. God has placed us in a mission field. We are to be a church motivated by the great commandment and the great commission. Love God, love people.
We have a command and a calling: Love one another.
We have a qualification of what the love looks like: Love as I have loved you.
We have the result: All people will know that we are His disciples, if we love people.
Now, we have the opportunity to not only grasp it intellectually, but to go do it practically. Love does. Love is a verb.
I am only one, but I am one. I can't do everything, but I can do something. The something I ought to do, I can do. And by the grace of God, I will. – Edward Everett Hale
Find a love that you can’t help but reciprocate. Find a love that produces a love in you that won’t stop. This is what true love is all about.
The keys to moving forward and experiencing the good life are to be perceptive, be patient, and be prayerful.
If you want the wars of your life to stop wars with other people, with yourself, with God--it starts with a humble heart. We submit, we resist the devil, and we draw near but you can’t do any of these things without a humble heart.
When God’s people ask rightly, we find out that He is able to do exceedingly above all that we can ask or think. We find that God can do the impossible. We find that God’s promises are certain and His love is unfailing.
Do you find yourself critical, bitter, and unforgiving? Raise the white flag of surrender.
If THAT sin, you know what it is, controls you, raise the white flag of surrender.
If you are empty, running, fighting, crying, raise the white flag of surrender.
I don’t want to live in the past. Do you?
I don’t want to go back. Do you?
I am desperate to see God move. Are you?
We have a story. God interrupted shepherds and sent them running to see for themselves and so changed them they couldn’t shut up. What if you shared your story today?
God’s invitation, His revelation, spoil us for what we thought we wanted. Even if we resist, what we find out is that His plans ARE better. However, don’t miss this: Though God’s plans are better, getting to where He wants to take us involves pain. It involves discomfort. It involves the disruption of transformation. It ultimately requires trusting God like you have never trusted Him before.
Thanksgiving changes you. When our circumstances stop being the foundation of our thoughts and instead in the midst of our circumstances, we go back and we remember, and we build on His steadfast love and mercy, all of a sudden, things change. Even if the event isn’t erased from the calendar, even if, even when, our hope becomes anchored in gratitude for what He has already done and we say todah; thanks.
You need a spiritual family. It’s not enough to come to church. No, you need to be part of spiritual community. You need to put down roots.
You are accepted, confident, free and victories because Jesus is your atonement and your advocate. But it’s not that Jesus is the cool son and God is the mean Father. No, they’re one and the same. And God loves you.
We haven’t seen anything yet. There are still souls to reach. We are here for such a time as this. But, it’s going to take more than an energetic team of pastors. It’s going to take a Spirit-filled Church to make the difference. But, with the Difference Maker on our side, in us and working through us, the impossible will be made possible.
We have a calling: to love God with everything we have and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We have a mission to make disciples, telling people about what Jesus did in our lives.
We know what we’ve been given: all of these blessings “in Christ”.
We know where we’ve come from: from death to life.
We know where we’re going: Heaven is our final destination.
The only thing that will stop us will be settling for an image rather than resting in our identity. Christ has more.
You can have a prayer life, if you want a prayer life. You gotta have the want to.
You can be a witness for Christ, but you gotta have the want to.
You can preach, even if you have physical problems, all kinds of challenges. If He calls you to preach, it doesn’t matter what you don’t have, because He has what you don’t. You can do it! You just gotta have the want to.
In a world as tormented and confused as ours, we desperately need God’s wind and fire to energize us. Can we just humble ourselves and seek God with all our heart, praying for “something from heaven”?
These cries of hopeful desperation will be the seeds that produce the revival we long for.
Are you willing to declare your desperation?
We will never change unless we come to grips that we can’t be saved by religion, but only through the power of the gospel. As we surrender our self-salvation projects to God and receive His gracious gift of salvation, we will experience the rest, the love, and the transformation that marks a child of God.
Here is what I know: You will never stand for Christ unless you’ve made a commitment to Christ. Have you had that define the relationship conversation with Jesus? What’s it going to be? A commitment or an imitation of the real thing?
THREE LESSONS:
If you find yourself in a Babylon Mindset today there is only one way out. It is a turning from your way of thinking to God’s way of thinking. It is understanding who you are before a Holy God. It is understanding that He alone is Worthy! And that we alone are needy.
Are there disconnects in your life?
Are there discrepancies between what you desire in your heart and what you are doing with your life?
Is there alignment between your intention and your direction?
We will be tested. We will be asked to bow. We will have a choice: Disobey God or Defy Babylon. Remember, godly defiance requires godly convictions.
All things are possible with God. Don’t lose hope. God wants us to come to Him for deliverance. Seek His face. God will use His people to do great things. Be available.
Where is God asking you to obey? What are you enduring that you don’t understand? Is your faith mere bravado or are you letting God test you, change you, and ultimately strengthen you? He’s not done and neither are you. There is more to this story.
Godly resistance will begin with godly resolve: Daniel said I’m not going to defile myself and as we will see, it was the first step toward incredible impact.
Until then, we run the race. The prize is knowing Christ and the power of His resurrection. We press on for the finish line. As we do we mature through actively engaging in discipleship, praying for discernment, remembering who we are and anticipating Christ’s return. The best is yet to come!
May our obsession of knowing Christ and the power of His resurrection take us back to the old paths, the old command. How do I now live? Do justice. Love kindness. Walk humbly with your God.
Our potential will be realized when we rest in our identity and when what we value changes. Once we lose our confidence in religion we will begin to realize our confidence in Christ! Our city needs this kind of church. Our state needs this kind of church. What if we became this Church?
Breaking free requires knowledge, obedience, and most importantly the power of the Holy Spirit.
Who you are is not found in what you do, who your friends are, or who your parents are. Your identity is found in the Person and work of Jesus Christ and who He says you are.
Restitution is dangerous. Restitution is humbling. Restitution is for some of us the only way we will move forward from our past.
Forgiven people, forgive people, making forgiveness a continual choice. It becomes our sacrifice. It costs us something. But as we trust God to do what we can’t and we forgive, our idol falls and our chains are broken.
We are in the battle of all time. We have an enemy who doesn’t play by the rules. He will use anything and everything to drag you down and keep you from living the life God wants you to live. He will do anything and use everything to keep you from being an effective member of God’s household. But here is the good news church, no matter what he tries, no matter what he throws at you, you have the promise of 1 Corinthians 10:13.
The resurrection is either the celebration of an event or the celebration of an experience. What is it to you?
The early Church didn’t have much, but they had this amazing hope that they would remind themselves of time and time again. Jesus is coming again. Jesus is coming again. Jesus is coming again! What I see here? The pain? The sickness? The grief? The uncertainty? It’s not the end. Jesus is coming again! And when He comes again, all that is upside down will be made right. All things will be put in order. He will be visibly seen as King of kings and Lord of lords.
As we grow in wisdom it will literally touch every area of our lives. Today, we will examine a few areas in which we can experience explosive transformation which has the potential to change the trajectory of future generations.
In the face of fear, I will pray (even if it looks like your world is falling apart). In the face of fear, I will pause. I will have a Selah: remember what He’s done and look for what He’s doing. In the face of fear, I will surrender. I will reject the temptation to play God and trust in the fact that He IS God. I will be still. I will know: GOD IS FOR US!
