Chris from Marv n’ Berry wanted to start a podcast. No one else in the group wanted to. This is the result.
Joey Lucius, improvisor extraordinaire, stops by to tell us about the new improv show he is producing with Chris called Battle Kitchen - which parodies food shows and features real cooking on stage. We then really get into the nitty gritty about food TV, and food and cooking in general, all while a drug deal is potentially taking place outside of the house we recorded this at. Things also take a turn for the perverted in the last third. You'll know it when you hear it.
Battle Kitchen plays at the Rapid Fire Theatre Exchange January 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27.

"You gotta eat here!" is pretty much the theme of this episode, where we talk with local hero and food-fluencer Craig Martell, who you may have known from running Wunderbar during its good era, and now you know him as the chief food guy at popular Instagram account Brotherhood of Plates. Craig discusses fatherhood, and tells us some hilarious stories about doing standup at a wedding, and how he met (Borat voice) "his wife", but he mostly does a deep dive on local restaurants and tells us what's good to eat and what's not.

One more Fringe Festival episode! This one with local celebrity Donovan Workun, one of the... ahem... "hardest workun" improvisors in the world. You will know him from Atomic Improv, but this Edmonton Fringe he is in a show called "Let's Go To The Phones". He is so famous that the members of Nickleback know him by name!
