This is Brian Kelly's first SEC media days. Brian was asked about the current state of LSU football. What his transition has been like to Baton Rouge.
The secondary for LSU is in complete rebuild mode. Muliple players have transfered or entered the NFL draft. How will this depth chart look? Will the additions this offseason help this team in the short term?
LSU is talented at the linebacker position, but lacks experience. Brian Kelly added two linebackers from the transfer portal as well as highly touted recruit Harold Perkins. How does this depth chart play out?
Brian Kelly continues to add players from the transfer portal. LSU adds QB Jayden Daniels from ASU. Jayden was the former #1 Dual Threat QB in the nation coming out of high school. Jayden was a three year starter at ASU, he transfers to LSU with two years of elgibilty left. What does this mean for the LSU QB room?
LSU returns some young players on the defensive line with experience. Will Maason Smith and Jaquelin Roy take that next step? Where does Mekhi Wingo fit into the depth chart? Ali Gaye is back for his 6th year. BJ Ojulari is going into his junior year season, is he a first round prospect? Quency Wiggins ready to dominate the SEC.
LSU has some decent depth at the running back position. Will John Emery be ready to play for us in 2022? Where do the other running backs fit on the depth chart? Does LSU add another TE in the transfer portal?
Come breakdown the LSU WR depth chart with me. LSU lost Kayshon Boutee halfway through the season due to a injury. A bunch of young players had to step up to fill that role. LSU goes into the transfer portal and lands Linebacker Mike Jones Jr. Mike got a decent amount of playing time at Clemson where he learned under Isaiah Simmons. Coach Orgeron locks down the state of Louisiana landing one of the top WR in the state. LSU finishes with the #3 recruiting class for 2021.
Grew up watching all these LSU players in who are about to be playing the Super Bowl. I wish them nothing but the best, and hopefully it is a great game.
Arik GIlbert has announced via Twitter that he will be transfering to UF. Over the weekend, Will Campbell the #1 OL prospect in Louisiana of the class of 2022 commits to LSU.
Coach Orgeron hires two young coaches for his defense. Blake Baker will coach the linebackers for LSU. Andre Carter will coach the defensive line for LSU. These two young coaches have a lot to prove in their short coaching careers.
LSU went to the NFL ranks to bring in the Viking defensive backs coach to run our defense. Coach Jones is an up and coming coach with a lot of coaching experience.
Is this the most talented QB room LSU ever had? More transfer rumors continue to hit LSU. DC search is still in full force. Glenn Schumann has been contacted, as well as another NFL coach.
Per fake news, LSU fans thought that Marcus Freeman was coming to Baton Rouge to be the DC. In the 11th hour, Notre Dame steals him away from us. We still have options at DC and this hire will be the most important of Coach O’s career.
LSU hired Jake Peetz and DJ Mangus as their OC and PGC. These guys are young coaches with a lot to prove. Marcus Freeman has touched down in BR. Quick shout out to my man Joe Brady.
Tom Herman is out at Texas. What does this mean for LSU’s OC opening? A few more players announced they will be returning to LSU for the 2021 season.
Liam Shanahan announced via Twitter that he will be returning to LSU. There are other players on the offensive line I would love to see return for another season. There is an update on the DC search for LSU. Happy Holidays everyone!

The wait is finally over, Bo Pelini is gone from LSU. The Pelini experiment was a complete failure and he robbed LSU of millions of dollars. Coach Orgeron has to hire hit on his next hire at DC. In other news, LSU lost 2 players to the transfer portal in RB Chris Curry and DL Nelson Jenkins.

LSU’s 2021 recruiting class is just about finished. However this class is not done making moves until February so a lot can still happen to finish out this class. Tristan Leigh is still on the board for LSU and OL is our top priority to finish with.

Tough weekend for LSU. After a tough loss, we lose a great player to the NFL draft with 3 games left to go.
LSU looked pathetic on offense against Texas A&M, however, the defense is getting better. We need to recruit better at OL. Do you still want to fire Bo at the end of the year?
LSU just beat Arkansas after not playing football in 3 weeks. We are getting better and building a better future.
LSU gets embarrassed by Auburn. While there was a lot of negative things to look at this past weekend, there are positives and our future is bright. LSU lands the #1 safety in the country!!!
