The Venice Film Festival has announced their entire lineup. TIFF has subjected us to a series of "TIFF Takeovers" through which we learned what will be playing in Special Presentations, Midnight Madness, and more. What does it take to get a movie made? This is question we explore through our return to Cannes 2006 with Nanni Moretti’s story of a down on his luck Italian film producer, IL CAIMANO. Joining us is producer in his own right, of the George Lucas Talk Show, Patrick Cotnoir! We get into the tonal whiplash, the COMEY RULE of it all, and all admit how little we know about the Italian film industry and Italian political history. The natural segue then is to talk about THE BEGINNING, the making of documentary about STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE which originally came on the DVD.
