We’re continuing on in our study of the major questions that governed the 20 centuries of Church History.

I’m continuing the series on the 20 major questions of World Christian History.

The 6th century saw an explosion in monasteries around the Christian world. Many have their lives to the quiet and contemplative life, helping the church navigate a complicated era of entanglement with Empire. Holy people were “spiritual athletes” donating great efforts to please God and to help train others.

In this episode we will consider the 5th century church history question how many natures does Christ have?

We’re looking back to the 4th Century and covering a lot of ground, two ecumenical councils, and considering the great theological work in the 4th century.

We look at a dominant question in the 3rd century: “What happens when a Christian backslides?”

The Governing Question of the 2nd Century of World Christian History: “What Makes Someone a Heretic?”

World Christian History question of the 1st Century: What is the relationship between Jews and Christians?

Using Derek Cooper’s “Twenty Questions that Shaped World Christianity,” we will look at the 20, biggest questions that have shaped World Christianity.
