As I scrolled through my Snapchat memory roll, I stumbled upon photos taken a few years ago around this time, and what caught my eye was the cup in my hand. And I know everyone's first reaction was probably something along the lines of "great, another coffee selfie", but the funny thing is, it's not. I don't drink coffee, so what's in my cup is not coffee but rather hot chocolate. It got me thinking about the many life lessons we could learn from a cup of coffee. Stay with me here.

How will you place your hope in God today? †I will reflect on the promises He's made, and continue to trust in Him. †I will talk to Him when I'm overwhelmed, anxious, or afraid. †I will reflect on examples in Scripture that showcase God's faithfulness.
God, I place my hope in You. Every word from You proves true. Your Word shows that You'll never leave me, You'll fight for me, and You'll protect me. So when I'm afraid or overwhelmed, I will not lose heart. I will remember Your promises and run to You. You are my refuge and strength -the One in whom I trust. In Jesus' name, Amen.

In what way have you seen God renewing you recently? †He's been making me more patient and peaceful. †I'm becoming more compassionate and joyful. †He's making me less self-centered, and more concerned about others.
God, Please help me to not lose heart. When I look at the world around me, it is easy to get overwhelmed and discouraged. When that happens, I will take heart, because You are renewing me. Help me to remember all the ways You are at work in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Where might you be elevating personal freedom over the glory of God? †In my work †In the things say about other people †In the way spend my time and money
God, Whatever I do, please help me to do it for Your glory. When I'm talking to other people-let it be for Your glory. When I'm working -let it be for Your glory. When I'm spending time with family and friends -let it be for your glory. In all that I say and do, let me do it for You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
