My guest this week is Lama Ghazzawi a member of the Human Rights Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We talk about the continuing of women becoming a bigger part of the key decision makers in the Kingdom and how there is a very bright future for the young women who want to become leaders in their fields of study.

Saudi women have been thriving over the years, where their achievements in 2021 have increased to 31.8% in labor force, and over 41% in civil service, and their occupation to senior position in the work force upgraded to 30%, especially after the 2030 vision which empowers women and creates so many opportunities in the country and for the female population in a higher grade.

Saudi women have made impacts in different fields, sectors, and majors.

It also has been announced that there will be female judges in 2021 and the upcoming years.

Females can now major in Petroleum and Minerals studies and become certified engineers in Saudi, and so much more to thrive from and on.

2022 will have more and more achievements from what it looks like til’ this moment.

Join Jim Williams with former member of the George W. Bush administration and internationally recognized political analyst Alan Steinberg. This week they breakdown the key political topics of the week.

This was the wildest week of the nearly four years that President Donald Trump has been in office. He was in Walter Reed National Medical Center with a case of COVID 19, went on a joy ride outside the hospital to show his followers he was doing fine, he returned to the White House on Monday and took his mask off and entered the residence.

On Wednesday he returned to the Oval Office, Thursday he turned down an invitation to be part of the Presidential Town Hall Debate that was being done virtually due to President Trump’s condition.

Trump attacked the bipartisan Committee on Presidential Debates for making the Miami Town Hall debate he still has COVID 19.

Thursday he went after Attorney General Bill Barr for not moving faster to seek indictments for former President Barack Obama, Vice President Biden, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Friday he planned a Rose Garden rally and announced a planned trip to Florida on Monday only one week after being released from Walter Reed.
So much to talk about so little time!

This week our guest in NBA Insider Eric Wilson the host of The Sports Arena and he gives us the latest news on the player's choice to pause the playoffs. Moved by the videotaped shooting of Jacob Blake, earlier this week in Wisconsin, many professional athletes — some who had previously donned Black Lives Matter T-Shirts and knelt for the national anthem to protest racial injustice — made a more dramatic statement.

Other sports leagues, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, the National Football League, Major League Soccer, the WNBA, and other stars in individual sports demanding an end to racial injustice quickly joined the NBA players.

We do a deep dive into where the things go from here and all indications are that they will push a strong get out to vote effort. They will also push forward with the help of the NBA some strong moves to seek racial justice reform.

Stay tuned as we will follow all the storylines here on the pod.

A great conversation with my guest Dr. Eric Roe on his brilliant new book Iran’s Reconstruction Jihad: Rural Development and Regime Consolidation after 1979. You can get it on Amazon or wherever you get your books online.

Some brief background on the book from Dr. Roe:

Based on extensive fieldwork in Iran and Lebanon, this book examines how the Islamic Republic
of Iran (IRI) instrumentalized rural development to consolidate power at home and project
influence abroad. A cornerstone of the IRI’s domestic consolidation and overseas influence was
the significant, yet understudied organization and ministry, Reconstruction Jihad (RJ). The term
“jihad” in RJ’s name constituted a powerful recruitment and mobilization tool that referred to a
sacred struggle to improve society and the self through rural development and other positive
pursuits beyond the military sphere.

My guest is author Dr. Saqib Qureshi who has peened a must read book titled The Broken Contract: Making Our Democracies Efficient, Representative, and Accountable

Dr. Qureshi digs into the data to show that a large number of elected representatives are mostly rich, male, and political lifers, and as such frequently out of touch with a changing society and its demographics. Dr. Qureshi proposes that rather than allowing bureaucrats protected employment for life, some 2% of all underachieving government employees should be regularly removed from their jobs. Some might find this unfair, but Dr. Qureshi points out this is below the annual turnover of a private sector company. Conversely, he argues that we should meaningfully reward the top 5 percent of public sector employees.

This is something that he suggests can be done if employees are given effective evaluations each quarter, providing the necessary comparative data.

Dan Maduri and Jim Williams in this edition of The Politically Incorrect Podcast talk about the rampant problem of Tribalism. We share with you a few excerpts from a recent article from the Pacific Standard titled America's Seven Political Tribes

Americans are best divided into seven distinct tribes: progressive activists (about 8 percent of the population), traditional liberals (11 percent), passive liberals (15 percent), the politically disengaged (26 percent), moderates (15 percent), traditional conservatives (19 percent), and devoted conservatives (6 percent).

The Politically Incorrect Podcast is powered by Warby Parker. Warby Parker was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty goal: to create boutique-quality eye wear at a revolutionary price point.

A collaboration between four close friends, Warby Parker was conceived as an alternative to the overpriced and bland eyewear available today.

Prescription eyewear shouldn’t cost you more than a plane ticket or a new iPhone.

By circumventing traditional channels and engaging with customers directly through their website and retail stores, Warby Parker is able to provide high-quality, good-looking prescription eye wear at a fraction of the price.

The Warby Parker aesthetic is vintage-inspired with a contemporary twist. Every pair is custom fit with anti-reflective, polycarbonate prescription lenses.

Available exclusively through Warby Parker’s website and retail stores, glasses start at $95, including prescription lenses.

I can tell your that for me the game changer is Warby Parker offers a Free Home Try-On program. I was able to go on their great and easy to use website ,with a vast number of super frames for men, women and even sunglasses making it hard to pick just five frames. But I found five that I thought would look good on me.

Jim Williams and Dan Maduri talk about the mass shooting attacks that took place in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. There is pressure on the White House, the House and the Senate to do something about the rash of gun violence in this country.

But year in and year out there seems no way that politicians on both sides of the political community statewide and in Washington who are willing to give up the gun lobby money. Until the money comes out

I had a chance to talk with one of the rising young stars in the Democratic Party Ryan Watts , At 28 he hopes to become the youngest member of the United States Congress. Watts wants to represent North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District a seat held by Republican Mark Walker.

Watts is smart, engaging and not afraid of going toe-to-toe with Walker who has served District 6 since 2014. The young Watts wants to highlight his stance on education, health care, gun rights and business. All topics that Walker seems to be very weak on.

John Kelly gets into hot water over his defense of  Rob Porter, who resigned as White House staff secretary Wednesday after his two ex-wives publicly accused him of domestic abuse.

Then to top the week off we have a mini-shutdown of the government because Sen, Rand Paul (R-KY) wanted to make a point. Meanwhile, a bipartisan budget bill passed both houses of Congress and was signed by President Trump.

I talk with Sports Business expert Evan Weiner about what is the biggest sports scandal in United States history. Dr. Larry Nassar the once world-renowned sports physician treating America's foremost Olympic women gymnasts will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The disgraced former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor was sentenced to 40 to 175 years in prison, a judge announced Wednesday after more than 150 women and girls said in court that he sexually abused them over the past two decades.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee will hold a hearing on the aforementioned misconduct, as well as sexual-abuse reports in USA Swimming and Taekwondo.

Among the victims are decorated US Olympians, including Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, and Simone Biles. But the majority were not famous competitors. They were students and young female athletes — gymnasts, dancers, and volleyball players. Now it is up to Congress to make sure this never happens again.

Foreign Fighters and Mercenaries Fueling Libyan Conflict by Joseph Hammond reads like a novel but it is a true story of how if the United States does not start paying attention to Africa it could come back to haunt us. Here is a small snippet from the story that will give you an idea of what we talked about.

The presence of large groups of foreign fighters in Libya is in striking contrast to other regional conflicts. The Syrian Civil War and the larger struggle against the Assad regime, for example, has attracted lone jihadists from around the world.  The Libyan Civil war, by contrast, has attracted entire military units and terrorist groups are joining the conflict. Notable examples include Da'esh, possibly Hamas, as well as rebel movements from nations in the Sahel region of Africa.

Washington Bureau Chief Jim Williams is joined by a former member of the George W. Bush admiration Alan Steinberg as they tie up some loose political ends. The entertaining political duo talk about the #MeToo movement, the new GOP tax law and the future of the all-important CHIP program.

But they also focus on what might happen in 2018 when there will be some very important mid-term elections. Listen to find out what the key issues of the day will be. The Politically Incorrect Podcast powered by the issue tracking folks at Voterheads.com

The Senate passed the final version of the tax bill early Wednesday morning. It overhauls the tax code and cuts corporate tax rates, but Democrats and critics say the plan will primarily benefit the wealthy and corporations.

The GOP has argued that by cutting taxes for corporations, businesses will reinvest their savings in their workers by raising wages. But Williams and Steinberg explain why the GOP numbers just don't add up.

Also, will the CHIP program needs to be funded by Dec. 31st. The bi-partisan program provides health insurance coverage for just shy of nine million children whose families have too much income to qualify for Medicaid but not enough to afford the cost of insurance. It is increasingly used by families whose employer-provided insurance is too expensive.

CHIP is provided for free or the program's premiums are pegged to an amount based on a family's annual income.

CHIP has come into the news lately because Congress has not yet reauthorized its funding mechanism and, as a result, states are running out of money. Once the money runs out, potentially hundreds of thousands -- if not millions -- of low-income kids could lose their health insurance. That could be a dire situation for some families.

We do a deep dive into what happened today as the FCC changed the way we stream video for the next four years if not forever.

Despite overwhelming opposition from Congress, technical experts, advocacy organizations and, of course, the American people, the FCC has voted to eliminate 2015’s Open Internet Order and the net neutrality protections it established. As expected, the vote was 3 to 2 along party lines, with Chairman Ajit Pai and Republican Commissioners Brendan Carr and Michael O’Rielly voting in favor of the order, and Democratic Commissioners Mignon Clyburn and Jessica Rosenworcel voting against.

We also try to make sense of the proposed GOP Tax plan that could be passed as soon as next week.

But her connection to the military’s often secretive work in work in Niger came as little surprise to intelligence officers who know the Florida Congresswoman as a long-time supporter of U.S. counter-terrorism missions in Africa. Since her election to the House in 2001, Wilson has become one of the staunchest advocates for U.S. support in the fight against the jihadist group Boko Haram.

On the other side are ophthalmologists, who insist that such surgery should be done only by trained and licensed medical doctors.
