Always a great pleasure to sit down with my brother Pedro to talk about things we are struggling with and what we have learned. Podcasting has allowed me to create amazing meaningful conversations with dear friends and be able to learn how to be ok with being vulnerable and talking about personal things. As usual we go super deep, enjoy it.
This is a quick episode where I reflect on my own internal battles which at this stage in life is perceiving myself in comparison to other people. In the past 2 months I have been lacking motivation, feeling overwhelmed, feeling depressed with a sense of being lost so I decided to start therapy, which has helped a lot, in order to try to understand those emotions and perhaps clarify my needs and things I want in life at this moment. Slowly I am realising that some of the things I was doing were purely based on how people would perceive me rather than doing it for the fact that I actually enjoy it and have a interest for it. I guess we all get trapped in worrying too much about what other people think of us and what others are doing with their lives, embracing ourselves for what we truly are is probably the best answer to find meaning in life while we get rid of all the distraction of comparing ourselves to other people.
Conversations with my mate Gary Compton about how he has been able for the past 5 years to work with photography full time as his passion. We talk about goal settings, social media pros and cons, how to use linkedin to be able to connect with like-minded people and more.
Conversations with my brother from another mother Pedro Guimaraes host of The Dreamers Academy Podcast we got this episode done at Starbucks and we talked about things we are struggling with and how we are dealing with them, and things that we are learning. We go deep in this episode and I got a lot of reflection out of it, thanks my brother for being vulnerable and speaking from the heart as always.
"Destroy the idea that you have to be constantly working or grinding in order to be successful. Embrace the concept that rest, recovery, and reflection are essential parts of the progress toward a successful and ultimately happy life" - Unknown
Over 2 years now I have met the most incredible woman in my life. She is kind, she is funny, she is sweet, she is driven, she is silly, and I can add more thousand qualities here. This is a conversation I have with my gf Cathrine the woman who taught me what loving someone truly means. Thanks for being vulnerable with me babe and for sticking to my madness. I love you beyond words and only actions can represent how much you are special to me. I guess our relationship has been so amazing is because as Mel Robbins says “there is only 2 things people seek in a relationship, it is either power or connection”. I think that is why our relationship has worked so well, we both seek connection more than anything, dropping the ego and being as humble and as understanding as possible with constantly communication above all of that. Jeg elsker deg my love wishing many beautiful years ahead with you.
Dani Vianna is an acroyoga and yoga certified teacher, has started her marketing agency The Avocado Agency and working as Community Manager at Insight Timer. We met each other over 10 years ago back in my home town and as life goes on we lost contact, but back just over 2 years Dani contacted me and here she is in Sydney now where she calls home. We had a really beautiful conversation about her struggles with depression and how she sees now as a positive challenge as it guided her to where she is today with all the things she has accomplished, I applaud and thank you you for being so vulnerable girl and for sharing such a strong story.

Great conversation with Izaak Love who is an actor, director and producer, and this episode is focused around those topics but also as usual we go over life learnings, personal growth and mindset.

I had a chat with my good mate Josh Kim to talk about his passion for dancing, music and hip hop. He was on Channel 7 being part of the Dance Boss Australia 2019 reality show Season 1 with his team The Marketing Guys so make sure you check him out, such an awesome project to be part of. We go over his whole experience as a dancer, how he got into it and where he sees himself in the future.
On this episode I had the amazing opportunity to have a very down to earth conversation with my mate Pedro Guimaraes. What I love about this episode is that we cover so much in 1hr and 30 min and it felt more like having a chat with a mate rather than a interview vibe, which is what I am trying to achieve with this podcast from now on, to be able to give more feedback and be more engaged in the conversation rather than asking questions out of a script. Pedro is a true learner and hungry for answers, we finished this episode at 11:30pm and we were both feeling so pumped about it. We talked about life challenges of living overseas, why ego can be a bad thing but also a good thing, we cover health topics, mindset and so much more.
Pedro has also his own podcast so make sure you check him out! Hope you guys love this one as much as I did, stay happy and share the love.

On this solo episode I share what I have been doing when I feel overwhelmed. I woke up today and tried to get some work done and I felt really hopeless so I decided to talk about straight after. I felt I had no power and strength to push me to do the things I had to. I started questioning myself and doubting if I am worthy of trying to pursue the things I want to pursue, and I was like "I should not feel this way, I have so many good things in my life, people go through worst harder st and you 25 years old kid complaining and frustrated about the things you do not feel like doing" and this made me feel even worse as if I had no right to feel this way, as if I should only be grateful for what I have and just get st done. This episode gave me a lot of clarity around the idea of feeling overwhelmed and things I should do and keep doing to work around situations I might feel this way again. Shout out to my girlfriend Cathrine for putting up with my long deep conversations every night in bed, you always believing in myself thank you so much, I love you! Hope you guys get something out of it, share with me what you do when you feel this way would love to hear from!
On this episode I speak to Alesha Kerry who I met during a project I was part of in Queenstown in NZ where I spent 7 days working as a model. The 18th of June 2018 marked 1 year of recovery for this amazing person.
After 6 years of battle with depression she hit rock bottom. On the 18th of June last year Alesha was rushed to hospital and put in emergency care for 20 hours fighting for her life. Once stable she was transferred to the cardiac ward for a further 4 days. 1 year ago she was dying in her flat bedroom alone, because depression got on top of her. A long journey followed with the amazing support of her family and close friends.
We go over her whole history, how everything happened, which lead Alesha to a life mission which involves the creation of her just recent business that is impacting people’s lives, this one is a beautiful and touching story that not only few people experience, but a large number of individuals that suffer from depression and who feel helpless, but if you ever feel that way or just a little down, reach out, there is always someone there for you, speak up, we love you.

On this episode I interview the co-founder of Pass it on Clothing & Co, which is a Sydney based not-for-profit which puts your clothes donations directly in the hands of those who need it most.
Founded in September 2016 by Chris Vagg and Olga Puga, Pass it on Clothing & Co (in partnership with Orange Sky Laundry Sydney) has been instrumental in providing quality men’s and women’s clothes donations to Sydney’s homeless community, working to make charitable clothes giving more direct, efficient and effective.
The idea for Pass it on Clothing & Co came from a house move for Chris and Olga and a resulting in wardrobe change. Many of the pieces to be thrown away were expensive and near new, and needed to be given a new appreciative owner.
Chris began researching traditional charities and realised that the best clothes are often kept and sold in charity stores and shopfronts, leaving only the leftover items not deemed good enough for sale to be passed on to those who actually need them. This sparked the idea of taking clothing directly to Sydney’s homeless and disadvantaged community, and working with Orange Sky Laundry to set up a free clothes service to enhance their existing clothes washing and drying initiative.
Pass it on Clothing & Co takes clothing donations directly, setting up a wardrobe station on Tuesday evenings at Martin Place alongside Orange Sky Laundry, allowing people to visit and select new clothing directly. Olga, Chris partner, as a professional stylist, offers compassion and support when helping people select the wardrobe pieces.
Pass it on Clothing & Co is a not-for-profit and offers this service free of charge. In the first nine months of operation, Pass it on Clothing & Co has provided over 3000 pieces of clothing to over 1000 people living rough in Sydney. The benefits are truly positive, not only physically, but by also impacting the self-esteem and self-worth of the people being helped.
The future aim for Pass it on Clothing & Co is to sustain the initiative by providing increased numbers of clothing for Sydney’s homeless community. In its first year of operation, Pass it on Clothing & Co have impacted the lives of over 3,000 people by providing over 5,000 garments to those who need it most. This is a super casual conversation over a beer and I couldn’t be happier with this.

This is a short episode and I speak to Jean-Charles Gars, a French friend who arrived in Australia 4 years ago to pursue his dreams of starting his own food business. Someone that never gave up on his goals, he created 3 different food companies, closed 2 and he is now the head chef and owner of Sacre Bleu, a French street food catering business, using his passion for food and French culture to dish out happiness. His love for cooking and food has created a no ending trials to create his thing and to learn as much as he can. What I love about this episode is how persistent this guy is to create the next project, without the passion for it, many would have quit. He lost around $50.000,00 dollars during all this journey but quitting was never an option. He says “we all have so much untapped potential, believing in ourself is a constant challenge. Whatever you want to achieve you can do it, it is all on you, find the motivation or goal, then find the drive or passion, nothing can stop you”, and if I could add something to that, make sure you surround yourself with the right people, do they inspire you? Are they positive? Do they have what you want? Do they talk about visions and ideas?
On this episode I interview Cindy Pellegrino who is from the same city I was born and raised, she was working at the school I was studying english when I met her. She is a commercial interior designer and entrepreneur living in Australia since 2011. Coming from a very humble and simple family, Cindy managed to get a high paid job at a bank in Brazil where she worked for 7 years, she then decided to leave everything behind to move to Sydney where her first jobs were working as a waiter and cleaner. With a thirst for knowledge to pursue a career change as an Interior Designer, she studied colour, surface design, interior design and decoration at the International School of Colour and Design. Her marketing background, combined with her interior design education, has enabled her to create truly forward-thinking design concepts with consistent originality and style. We talk about the ups and downs of her life, her recent marriage, her business, and so much more.

Even though I haven’t seen you since you left 3 years ago you have taught me good things and I am glad we kept in touch brother, on this episode I interview Godfrey Elder, one of the most inspiring and hard working man I have met. Grown up in New York and eventually moving to Houston, Texas, he found himself throughout life in my hardships and challenges, including addictions, that for so many could lead to a life of misery, instead he made a lot of mistakes but became better with them. We get really deep into Vipassana meditation on this episode as well, we talk how he went from being homeless to pay all his debt and remove his family from the ghetto to a better life in Texas, plus the challenges he has gone through until today. He works in sales now, loves music and hip-hop, is an extremely talented performer, starting his own brand and business and podcast as well. On this episode I have an amazing conversation with this beautiful couple. Ana Erlich and Ilja Mazar are both from Kazakhstan but later on raised in Germany, we go over the experience in their relationship, their ups and downs, and their beautiful story of how they met which started with a facebook message and eventually bringing them both here to Sydney where I met them. We also talk about Ilja’s work as a photographer as he does that full time, and the reason I met my lovely girlfriend was because of his work so I feel deeply connected with those two and their story. This is a more fun and casual conversation with lots of laughs and jokes but I learned a lot from them and I hope you can learn something from them as well.
