I will be giving background and historical context on Benjamin Franklins, "The way to wealth" I will summarize the piece and then I’ll determine what this means for today’s society, as well as both praising and attempting to critique what I believe to be important factors within the piece.
In our podcast, we will be covering the short stories, Editha, by William Dean Howells and Soldiers Home by Ernest Hemingway. In this episode, we will cover the physiological impact that war has on all affected parties.
An in-depth analysis of two slave narratives, one is written by Fredrick Douglass and the other by Harriet Jacobs. Both narratives detail the brutality and horrible nature of African American enslavement in the United States. The writes both cover topics of religion, abuse, and freedom among other topics.
Throughout the podcast, I’ll be looking at the background of Ben Franklin as a person and an author. I’ll also be looking briefly at the historical context of “The Way to Wealth.” I’ll provide a summary, a completely biased analysis of the piece (By that I mean praise and criticism), and I’ll be discussing the legacy and the massive importance of it.
