The EP titled “Nuevo Groove”, includes two tracks and is a fantastic blend of house and disco.The title track, “Nuevo Groove” is an elegant representation of funky house with a touch of Latin inspiration. The debut EP by EZ Riser marks the expressive & full-blown arrival of music veteran Sohail Arora. Unhinged, emotive & raw, the 6-track project power packs high-BPM sonic landscapes through the dancey terrains of jungle and drum & bass.
Thematically the electronic music project explores the new-age notion of digital “slacktivism” - the lackluster support or effort shown by online individuals in the vague hope of social or political improvement. The rough & rowdy sounds of the EP arise out of the artist’s reflections on the movement & his interpretation of its place in our culture.
Sohail Arora launched his solo project, EZ Riser, in Oct 2012. Often known as a pioneer for pushing cutting-edge electronic music with a heavy emphasis on bass in India, Sohail Arora got exposed to Bass music during his days of working with Blue Frog & Zenzi2, the iconic music venues of Mumbai. As the founder of KRUNK, India’s foremost alternative booking agency and events crew5, Sohail & KRUNK have been instrumental in producing and elevating some of the most prominent and most prolific talents in India.
EZ Riser’s musicality extends to a variety of bass-heavy tunes shelled out over the years. EZ Riser’s track ‘444’ was released under the 2021 Billboard Presents: Electronic Asia Vol.5 compilation, while his track ‘Solar Dub Power' was released via 2022’s Bass Coast Festival compilation, 12 days. He has also remixed the hit indie singles ‘Take’ by Anushka & ‘Pieces’ by Nothing Anonymous in 2020. His breaks-heavy track ‘Trippy Feet’ was released as a part of Krunk Kulture’s ‘Ganga Jamuna - Flavours of the East’ compilation and was selected in iTunes’ 2021 top 100 Indian Independent Hits playlist.
EZ Riser has also played at leading global bass music festivals like Bass Coast Festival (Canada), Outlook Festival & Dimensions Festival (Croatia), Magnetic Fields Festival (India), NH7 Weekender (India), Vh1 Supersonic Festival (India), Jungle Flash Festival (Slovenia), Modern Sky Festival (Finland) & many more.

Back To You is that classic disco number which plays on your car's radio when you're driving past the beach or chasing a sunset with your loved one. Composed, Arranged and Produced by Punch.M, this song takes you back to a much simpler time. A time you moved to groovy bass lines and funky synths & were out, spreading the message of love. The song is written, co-produced & sung by Joel Padikkal. The song's lyrics speak of conflict, passion and the struggle of finding a middle ground in tough circumstances, always keeping in mind the silver lining at the end.
Punch.M is a project started in 2019 by blues pianist / music producer based out of Bombay His music covers wide a range of genres from Lo-fi & Chill Hop sounds to Old School Disco & Dance / Electronic sounds. Punch.M started as a tribute to two people - his dad & the legendary R.D.Burman aka Pancham Da. Besides that, Punch.M is inspired by Daft Punk. Neerad (Punch.M) always had a special place for 80's Disco which led him to get into Disco, & Electronic Dance Music with a Signature Retro Punchy Flavour.
Joel Padikkal is a Bombay based singer, producer and composer. He has been a part of the independent live music circuit in India since early 2012, starting as the front man for Blues-Rock outfit, The Tripp. Joel has performed at many renowned venues and festivals across the country. His music can be described as laid back & chilled out with influences ranging from Jazz, Neo-Soul, Blues, Soul to Surf Rock.

Let go of your angst about unjust politics with a new release by Merak titled 'Big Fishes'. A vintage, chill jazz beat progresses aggressively with internal rhymes to a head bobbing rhythm. Featuring Brown Vagabond (Berlin based rapper) as he addresses belligerent oppositions on an international level.
A blend of a soothing Rhodes melody with a sprinkle of jazz and a bold bassline. The sonic pitch-drift bass textures with a thumping kick, paints a picture of crowds protesting as they stand their ground. The song is designed to drive the listener to think about the political limbo Merak feels we're in.
Merak is an electronica music duo of siblings Brandon and Belinda Mendes. They focus on mood enhancing sound design and poetic lyrics. They play the guitar, piano and violin and incorporate these organic sounds with electronic components. They are inspired by Radiohead, Billie Eilish and The Marias etc.
