This is a very sensitive topic, and we haven’t personally experienced what some black individuals have to live through. However, we hope to share our thoughts and observations about this topic.

In this episode, we introduce ourselves and discuss cultural differences between the UK and Hong Kong. We note how the academic culture is vastly different through areas like parental expectations, class sizes, teaching styles and the prevalence of tutorials in Hong Kong. At the same time, we analyze the different social culture, including taboos and attitudes towards the vices, as well as the Chinese tradition of authority and respect.
