What does it take to tell the truth when silence is survival?

In this deeply personal episode, I pull back the veil on everything I’ve been navigating behind the scenes—my YouTube strategy, going no contact with my mother, the ripple effects of estrangement, and the soul work required to choose yourself even when it costs everything.

This isn’t just a life update—it’s a reckoning.

I reflect on why I created a new video sharing my experience with covert narcissism, estrangement, and ancestral grief… and how it might be the bravest thing I’ve ever done.

If you’ve ever wrestled with the weight of silence, duty, or the cost of being the “good daughter,” this episode is for you.

In this episode we explore:

  • Why I pivoted my business to speak to burnout instead of spirituality
  • What led to my video about going no contact with my mother
  • The hidden burnout of estrangement and being an “orphan of estrangement”
  • Navigating the backlash to Black women’s success through love, not critique
  • How the Doechii video became a masterclass in manifestation and vision

Listener Reflection Prompt:

  • What silence have you been keeping that no longer protects you?
  • How have you shaped your life around other people’s comfort?
  • What does success look like now that you’re redefining it on your own terms?
