The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets hosted the Pitt Panthers Thursday night in the home finale and what turned out to be the regular-season finale. The Jackets were on the losing end as we were unable to find an answer to Pitt's running game and were not able to mount a rushing attack of our own. This was made worse by some very one-sided officiating, and I sensed some bad vibes in the following 24 hours. I also take a look at this weekend's Power 5 conference championships and various playoff scenarios.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets return to the field Thursday night on a five-day turnaround. I preview the game against the Pitt Panthers and also take a look at other games nationally and in the ACC I plan to watch on a Saturday with no Tech game.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets went to Raleigh, NC this past weekend and fell in a hard-fought game to the N.C. State Wolfpack, 23-13. The performance was a bit of a mixed bag, but the Jackets' ground game continued to shine despite missing star freshman Jahmyr Gibbs. On the other side of the ball, the defense held the second consecutive opponent to less than 100 yards rushing. And finally, we are able to kick for points, making an extra point and both field goals we attempted!
After a very solid win against the Duke Blue Devils in Week 12, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head to Raleigh, NC Saturday afternoon to take on the North Carolina State Wolfpack. I preview the game and also take a look at other games nationally that I plan to watch in Week 13.

Report card time! With the season just over half-over and the Jackets on a bye week, this is a great time to look back at the season-to-date and assess where Georgia Tech football is. I take a deeper dive into key areas that I feel are holding us back and some of the results were surprising.

Week 10 in college football offered a great slate of games. In today's episode, I review Florida-Georgia and Clemson-Notre Dame in some depth and touch on other games from the Power 5 conferences.
The Jackets fell on Saturday to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. A win was not reasonably expected but I was pleased that we played better and did commit as many mental and fundamental errors as we did against Syracuse and Boston College. We still have a significant gap to close with elite programs like Notre Dame but that will take understandably time. I also look at some of the biggest COVID impacts on college football thus far this season and discuss results from across the country in Week 9.
Saturday is a classic college football matchup between two historic programs as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the first, and perhaps only, ACC game between the two teams. I preview the game and also take a look at other games nationally and in the ACC that interest me in Week 9 of college football.

We continue to struggle with the same fundamental problems: turnovers, unforced errors and penalties, and an inability to slow opposing offenses.
