As followers of Christ we are to carry the presence of the Lord wherever we go, that includes our places of work. It is not just a job that we have, but an assignment from the Lord, glorifying Him through our work and guiding our coworkers and clients towards a relationship with the Heavenly Father.
John reminds us that our Father is looking for true worshipers. While worship looks a variety of ways, true worship contains awe, abandon and intimacy.
The unconditional love of our Heavenly Father brings the broken pieces of our lives together to heal us and make us whole.
As followers of Jesus we have all been given a mission, a purpose. Stepping into that purpose begins with a conversation.
True community takes place when we share our food, show our weakness and fight together.
Mocked, ship wrecked, bitten by a snake, out in jail; what do these things have in common? The apostle Paul and he said they are all worth enduring, because the gospel was advanced. We must endure the realities of following Jesus because it may lead to someone become a Christ follower.
In one of his last letters, John reminds us that love is not just a feeling, but it is action. Love is the way God is meant to be seen.
Have you ever been lost? Lose something? As a follower of Jesus, we are called to willingly lose ourselves for Him and the purposes He has for us.
Every disciple of Jesus has the opportunity to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, despite any potential confusion or misunderstandings. This divine gift transcends human error and is accessible to all who follow Christ. The Holy Spirit's baptism is a profound spiritual experience, often associated with empowerment and spiritual growth in our faith journey.
Be inspired by how the Holy Spirit positions us for power, equipping us to be fearless witnesses of God’s grace and love
The Holy Spirit lives with every follower of Jesus. We must understand that He is always there and is a resource in helping us pray bold prayers.

Why is Christianity so different from other movements or religions? Consider the Easter story and the impact it has made for generations.
Today we celebrate Stockholm Community Church's 5th Birthday, looking at the past, the present and dreaming of the future.
When putting a puzzle together, what is one of the first things you do? You look at the picture to know what you are creating. When understanding what church is, we should look at what the first church looked like. Acts 2 gives us the picture of the first church, a place where everyone was welcome, everyone was known, everyone was needed and everyone was changing.
Derek wraps up our series reminding us that God has made us for and created us to serve and the local church is where He intends for us to do that. While being a part of a local church, the Holy Spirit will be speaking to us, shaping us into the person He wants us to be.
The early church was in the middle of its first large conflict, Do we make people change before they can truly be a part? We look at how the early church leadership dealt with this question and examine the reality of where the church stands today.
Church should be a place where everyone is welcome, but it is not always that way. We look at the early church and examine the first church conflict, Does everyone need to be like us first?

The story of the rich young man in Mark 10 is not about having wealthy, Jesus is communicating that God is to be first in our lives and we must be willing to let go of anything He asks.

Don't let fear stop you from stepping into the plans God has for you. It is time to take a step out of the boat and walk.

The life of Jesus shows us our mission, introducing others to His love. To do that, we must be spending time with those that do not know Him, which may require us to lay aside our preconceived ideas or traditions.
Jesus wants to be involved in our lives, not just the surface, but the corners of our souls that we don't often open. He cares about every aspect of our lives and the people that are a part of our lives. Will you let Him in today?

A New Year often brings a desire to change certain behaviors, like going to the gym, or eating better. Today we see that the Bible also calls us to reflect on our lives and take note of our relationships, with God and others, or as Jewish believers call it, Cheshbon Hanefesh, an accounting of the soul.
