Journey with Jonah - Beginning April 11-May 31
During this series, the teaching will come from the book of Jonah. The most recognizable portion of Jonah is running from God, getting swallowed by a big fish, and then vomited up onto dry land. As crazy as it might sound, the story of Jonah is all of our stories. Each of us can look back at some point in our lives where we have attempted to run from God. Many of us have discovered that while we can run from God, we can’t outrun God! Let us rediscover the epic grace of God for each of us and God’s greater purposes in the world.

The Gift of Hope - Beginning Feb 21 God is our source of hope. It seems now that fear, more than hope, characterizes our time. There is fear for our country, our economy, the environment, and our children. However, hope is the expectation of good in our future, not based on optimism or the likelihood of present indicators but based on God. Join us for this teaching series through Lent as we focus on the life and teachings of Jesus and receive the gift of hope in Him.

New series: "Deep Roots" Starting on Sunday, January 10, we will be teaching how to be deeply rooted in Jesus. God inspired the prophet Jeremiah to tell us what deep roots look like: "They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7-8). In this season, we are sensing God's invitation to turn from our shallow root systems and be deeply rooted in Him. Join us this Sunday as we hear from the Lord on how to do this.

Current Series: Unhurry with the Rule of Life Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life. To live the way of Jesus, we have to slow down. But this is not easy in the chaos of our urban, digital world. To experience the life of Jesus, we have to adopt the lifestyle of Jesus. Allow his pace and his practices to rule our lives. Hurry will sever your connection to God, to other people, and your soul. We must ask ourselves, who are we becoming? Slow down, learn the unforced rhythms of grace, and find rest for your soul. Series begins February 16, 2020

New Series: Made for More Jesus is More. Therefore, the Church is made for More. The Church is chosen by Jesus to express His fullness into every corner of culture and into every sphere of society. Easter means that we have the identity of Christ: We are free from the fear of rejection because we are profoundly loved. We are also free from the power of sin because of The Holy Spirit that lives within us. We are free from the despair that comes with not measuring up; because, by faith, the resurrected life of Jesus is ours this day; and we are free indeed!

Re-Lent - To Cease Resistance: What would it look like to relent to God; and fully accept what He desires for your life? Usually, we refuse to fully relent because we are afraid of the changes that may take away the comfort and stability of our lives. We resist against the reality that there are parts of us that are not yet equipped for what God desires for us, His children. We are continually trying to prove we are virtuous enough without the need for change. However Jesus “did not come to call the virtuous, but sinners” (Matthew 9:13). And he himself, lowered his resistance to God for the advancement of The Kingdom. Join us for this six-week series as we learn to Re-lent and feel confident that what God has for us is worth relinquishing control.

New Series: A Heroic Journey (4 weeks) This teaching series will highlight the lives of those who have gone before us and inspired us with their faith, perseverance, and lifestyle. These are real-life examples in which we get to see how God worked in the lives of others. These stories of old recount how some endured in the midst of great sufferings and trials. As we look at these stories of how God worked through His servants in ages past we hope to grasp how God is inviting each of us to join Him on a heroic journey.

The greatest display of God’s love was his coming to be with us, to identify with us, and to save us by entering his created world through birth in the person of Jesus. Everything changes when we know that God is with us: we can face trials, hardships and impossibilities with hope; we don’t have to be afraid of the unknown; we can have courage in the present and hope for our future. Join us this advent season as we retell and celebrate the stories around Jesus’ birth that reinforce that beautiful truth that God is with us! Join us December, 2nd - the first Sunday of Advent - as we learn how God is with us in our failures and our families of origin.

Our next Church Wide Initiative 6-week series, "Invited to Reach," begins on Sunday, Oct 14. There will be corresponding small groups that will be discussing and processing together during this series. During this series we'll be invited to reach for God’s promised future of healing, wholeness, and reconciliation to invade our present realities. Life is filled with tension because we sense this promised future in our hearts and yet we do not dictate how, when and where God moves. In this tension, we can become disappointed, resentful or even surprised. We may experience heartbreak. We may sense God’s prompting. We may be surprised that God even shows up. But we will look for God’s cues and we will reach together toward God's promised future. This series builds on the invitation to "Ask for the impossible" that we sensed with the Elders this past Summer.

This year Easter falls on “April Fools’ Day” and it seems unsettling for a day of foolishness to be combined with the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection. However, in the book of Corinthians, Paul writes that the cross is foolishness to those who are seeking human wisdom or looking for signs from heaven—but to those called by God to salvation, Jesus is the power of God and the wisdom of God. Join us on Easter as we point to God’s power and wisdom found in the cross and the resurrection of Jesus.

Join us beginning on January 28th as we begin a new series called “The Gospel Primer”. Many of us long to see more of Jesus Christ transforming our identity and reshaping the very rhythms of our life. This transformation doesn’t happen on our own; it happens best in community. For eight weeks, we will be gathering in small communities to dialogue about the life-changing good news of Jesus. It is about becoming so familiar with the gospel that it flows out of your life and words in normal—yet extraordinary—ways. When the gospel increasingly informs our lives, perspectives, and priorities, we become living proclamations of God and His kingdom. And that is Good News!
