This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast I will be discussing Having an Authentic and Vulnerable Relationship with God. I talk about how this used to be a struggle for me and how I was afraid to be open, authentic, and vulnerable to Him, but isn’t that how you grow a relationship with someone, isn’t that how someone gets to know you and you get to know them, isn’t that how you grow trust? These are all the questions I asked myself as I have been on my personal journey of truly growing a relationship like this with God. Listen to this week’s episode as I provide encouragement on having this type of relationship with God.

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast I am discussing how isolation is not the answer. In the past I always struggled with allowing people to get close to me and allowing people to truly love me because I thought that was the perfect way to not get hurt; I thought keeping myself at a distance would help me to not have to deal with judgment and that would be my guard. I found out that all those thoughts were lies. Listen as I provide encouragement for grace and permission to allow others to love and be there for you.

I always had this thought that was deeply rooted in my mind that in order to achieve things in life, they had to come through difficulty and that nothing in life came easy. I noticed that I was self sabotaging myself of the joys of life because I thought it was a bad thing to truly enjoy things without difficulty. This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast we discuss Overcoming Fear of Judgement & Success. I know for me personally I have struggled with hiding my successes for the fear of being judged. I put the idea into my mind: “If they think I am all of these things, what if I mess up? What if I am not as successful as they think I am? What if, what if, what if…” The fear of letting everyone down overtook my mind, because I didn’t believe I could live up to their standards. Those thoughts held me back from being My Best Self and tried to stop me from sharing and following God’s Calling. Listen to this week’s episode, as I provide 3 points that I have implemented in my life on overcoming fear of judgement and success.

In Proverbs 18:16, it states "A person’s gift opens doors for him and brings him before the great." Gifts are powerful. Your gift is making room for you - opening doors of opportunity and privilege that were otherwise off limits. Start small, allow your gift to grow, and stop speaking words of doubt over your gift(s).

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, I will talk about Knowing that you are already equipped. Many of us sabotage ourselves because we are afraid of fear of failure or fear of success, and are kicking our own selves out of the game before we even get started. One thing that I realized is that if it is already in our spirit by God, that we are already equipped for the task, and that we just need to walk boldly and confidently by faith that all our steps will be divinely ordered.
Scripture reference: Jeremiah 29:11 - “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Declaration and Affirmation: I am brave. I am courageous, I am fearless, I know who and whose I am. I understand that I only have control over what I control, the uncontrollable I give to God. My mind is filled with grace and comfort. My heart is filled with peace. I am divinely protected.

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, I talk about Learning How to Balance Isolation and Self Care. The definition of isolation is the state of being in a place or situation that is separate from others. The definition of self care is the practice of taking an active role in protecting one's own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress. What do you value that is precious to you that will allow you to protect your well-being during this time? What are you going to do for self care and be intentional about doing every day so that you take control over isolation instead of isolation taking control of you. How do we find the balance between the two?
The scripture for this week to reflect on is Psalms 46:5 - "God is within her; she will not be toppled. God will help her when the morning dawns.”
Declaration and Affirmation: Daily check ups are healthy for me, I have a healthy balance in life.

On this week’s episode of the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, I discuss Mental Wellness & Mindset Goals. How would you describe your mindset? Would you change it?
We have a choice and the way we handle situations or our thoughts are completely up to us. This is something that I really had to learn and embrace - that I can control how I react to a situation, I can control my thinking about a specific problem, I can either look at it in a negative way or a positive way. I make that choice.
Do you have a goal on where you want to be mentally?

This week on the podcast we are going to be talking about 3 ways to stop waiting on fear to disappear. I realized in life there are only two ways to deal with starting: actually starting or continuing to procrastinate, and two ways to deal with fear: avoid it or face it. My question to you is which pair are you selecting: Actually starting and facing your fear or Continuing to procrastinate and avoid your fear?

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, I discuss how an old habit of being guilty of receiving started to creep up again; taking a step back last week, I trusted my instinct to be still and was like pause Brit something is not right. During my still time God provided me with a gentle reminder of opening my mouth and to speak with boldness.
To be quite honest with you, in the past I struggled with allowing others to do things for me, to pour into me, to ask for help because either I would say “I got it,” I had a hard time trusting others, or I would feel guilty of receiving causing me to shut down and shy away from asking.
In this week's episode I provide three points on what I have implemented in my life to help me open my mouth, speak with boldness, so God can fill it.

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, we are going to be talking about “What to do in your waiting season?” A season where you are waiting for God’s answer, where you are waiting for your next step. The season that makes you uncomfortable and tests your faith, your patience, and your endurance. It is a season where you try your hardest to be still and know that He is God. Sometimes You feel like you are in the right direction of things and the wait is about to be over and then there are other times where you feel like this season is the longest season of your life.
Points discussed in this episode:
Use Habakkuk 2:3 as your reminder when you get impatient in your waiting season
Practice gratitude
Sharpen up your skills on what you are waiting on

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, we will be talking about how your next level requires order. So what exactly do I mean by this? I mean before you get to your next level whether that is wanting to get a promotion, to grow your business, to be in a new relationship, to increase your self love, whatever the case may be for you, we need to make sure that things are in order, and that we are not just jumping all over the place. I challenge you to ask yourself are there some things in your life that you need to heal from before you move on to your next level?

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, we are going into part 2 of the A Profitable Life Series. The subject that we will be diving into is being Mentally and Emotionally Profitable. How are your thoughts? How are your emotions? It is important that you do self check ins with your thoughts and emotions because we have “between 12,000 to 70,000 thoughts per day, 80% of those thoughts are negative, and 95% are exactly the same repetitive thoughts as the day before." This means that we have to be careful about what we are telling ourselves and the thoughts that we are having because our minds are tape recorders that are just being played back to us all day long - and the question that I want to ask you is what is your tape playing in your mind?

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, we are going to be starting a new series called: A Profitable Life. It will be a 3 part Series that will go through the different areas of our life and how being profitable can fit into these areas. I received the word "Profitable" from God a few weeks ago as the word to focus on for 2020 in my life and I noticed that He is just not saying be profitable financially, but be profitable mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. In part 1 of this series we are discussing why it's important to be profitable in our environments and relationships. In this year of 2020, I want to see divine movement and gains in ALL areas of my life, and I want to make sure I share this concept with my audience as well.

This week on the Brit Lashae Speaks Podcast, I want to give you some background on my testimony, my why, and give you some points on making the decision to heal. I have been on my inner healing journey for 3 years now, and there have been plenty of times I wanted to give up, throw in the towel, times where I was like this is not for me, plenty of times where I did the ugly cry, and to be quite honest when I first started I never really understood what it meant to heal. I didn't know there was a process to healing. I didn't know where to start, and also I didn't know that you had to maintain your process. All of this helped me realize that it is important to honor your journey and honor your process!

Will it be One Day or Day 1 for you? "One Day" is something that we plan on completing in the future and many of us push off the “one day’s.” There may be plenty of reasons why we push it off - whether it is one day starting your self love journey but then unworthiness pops up and scares you from starting your journey or starting a business but then fear or the imposter syndrome knocks on your door causing you to push it to, “one day I will start”.
In todays episode I discuss my tips on how I go from “one day” to Day 1. It all started with me being intentional and saying “Today you will start.” I had to challenge myself. I couldn't keep wondering what one day would feel like, I was curious to know what today would feel like and I want to provide just a few points on how I started choosing my DAY ONES!
