Flights canceled, sporting events canceled or rescheduled, schools going virtual due to the increase, testing and vaccinations are required for some returning college and secondary education students. Testing in high demand but short supply.

Some states are lifting covid-19 restrictions for political reasons not for public health reasons. There covid19 numbers are increasing and it will only lead to more cases and deaths needlessly. Common sense use to dictate, but the political climate seems to take a greater precedent than life itself.
We have lost a lot due to the Pandemic if we were open or close, or perhaps if we should open or close is the question. Tinkering on the verge of collapse mentally, physically, educationally, socially has been the result of poor identification of the virus as well as the execution of addressing consistently and nationally in the United States. Social distancing, masks and now a vaccine are our best weapons. The manufacturing and distribution is the next new feat that we must attack and accomplish. We must get it right and quickly as we reach over 400,000 deaths in the United States as of January 18,2021.
The unpredictable to open or close has fundamental difference due to politics not following medicine. The Centers for Disease Control has been so politicized that there are conflicting messages and approaches. We are really paying the price in human suffering and deaths. Follow the Science!
