Morgen and Trisha are 1st time new moms. Come along each week as they document their mom journey, touching on everything from their "geriatric" pregnancies, food ideas for the little ones, the time baby poop got all over the place, breastfeeding successes and stresses, and so much more. They hope you will laugh right along with them because isn't that really the best way to go through this crazy beautiful ride of mom-hood?
What happens when mom instincts start whispering, something’s up? We ask questions, we do research, we keep a closer eye and ear out for anything more to these gut feelings, and we turn to the professionals.
This week, Morgen and Trisha sit down with someone especially close to home, a mom of two boys and one of Morgen’s nearest and dearest, to talk about navigating evaluations and services for their kids. From reading support in private school to speech services in public programs and autism assessments, they unpack the confusing world of age cutoffs, state coverage, and those early signs you just can’t ignore. And in true mom-life fashion, expect a few surprise cameos from Harlow and Charlie along the way because mom life doesn’t pause… a reminder that these conversations are happening in the middle of real, messy, beautiful life.

This week on Mom Jeans & Minivans, Morgan and Trisha chat with Dr. Ash, a “concierge doctor” (as Morgen has so accurately coined him).
Dr. Ash brings a refreshingly human approach to healthcare, focusing on value-based, preventative care rather than quick fixes. With his background in internal medicine, he dives into everything from social determinants of health to the pitfalls of insurance barriers and the overuse of procedures.
As usual, it’s not all work; Dr. Ash also shares his joys and struggles as a parent. Plus, we’re thrilled to share that this episode marks our second time navigating both mom and dad -fessions. This episode is an eye-opening, empowering, and surprisingly fun deep dive into modern medicine. Grab your coffee, hop in the carpool line (or listen when your brain won’t turn off at night), and join us!
This week on Mom Jeans and Minivans, Morgen and Trisha tackle one of the most important and often intimidating parts of parenting: having the big conversations with our kids. From talking about bodies and boundaries with 6-year-olds to navigating puberty, sex, and body image as they grow older, they share their approach to these topics with honesty, age-appropriate language, and a whole lot of grace.
They also discuss how they talk to their kids about people who are “different from the norm,” whether that’s physical differences, gender identity, or cultural diversity, and why starting these conversations early creates empathy, confidence, and a healthy sense of self.
Whether your child is still in diapers or already asking the tough questions, this episode is full of relatable stories, thoughtful strategies, and plenty of laughs along the way. Because let’s face it: parenting isn’t perfect, but we’re in this together!
In this episode, Trisha and Morgen open up about the journey of raising highly sensitive, empathic children—and the delicate balance of nurturing their emotions while helping them grow stronger and more resilient.
Morgen and Trisha dive into the emotional rollercoaster of this pivotal developmental stage. They explore how gentle parenting evolves as they begin guiding their daughters toward coping skills, confidence, and thicker skin—while staying true to themselves.
They share the challenges of managing big feelings, how journaling has become a helpful tool for expression when words fall short, and the ongoing work of staying consistent through it all. Tune in for an honest and compassionate conversation that every parent of a sensitive soul will relate to.
Join Morgen and Trisha in this episode as they share their deeply personal journeys through ectopic pregnancy, a terrifying and often isolating experience for so many women. Morgen opens up about the added heartbreak and devasting loss of her last remaining embryo, adding another layer of complexity and grief to her story. Both women share their individual stories, from the initial symptoms and diagnosis to the emotional fallout. Hear their struggles and raw, honest emotions from Morgen, who this has just happened to, and Trisha, 12 years after her experience. The recovery is long. Join their conversation about loss, resilience, and the power of shared experience as they work toward healing and offer support and understanding for one another. If you've been affected by ectopic pregnancy or know someone who has, this episode is for you. Feel free to reach out to us anytime at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
This week, we are excited to welcome a special guest, Kasia. She is a mother of two, a working professional in the health industry, a wife, a fantastic friend, and an avid baker. Originally from Poland, Kasia has been living in the United States for ten years.
After the November election, she, along with Trisha and Morgen, experienced a wave of emotions. For all of us, the issue was never simply about Democrats versus Republicans; rather, it centered around compassion, acceptance, and openness to those who may be different from us.
In this episode, we openly discuss our feelings and the challenges we face in making a positive difference in the world for our children’s future. We explore how we can raise "dragon slayers" and examine the reality that good people can make poor choices when misinformed.
As always, we want to hear from all of you! Feel free to connect with us on Instagram or via email at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. This episode may be polarizing, and we welcome all opinions. It serves as a reminder that we are all people with feelings, and open conversations are best conducted with kindness and an open mind.
Morgen and Trisha celebrated the end of 2024 by recognizing their incredible journey as badass mamas (with Morgen leading the charge, but let's not forget that all parents are truly remarkable in their own right). Join us as Morgen shares her inspiring story of managing three children while her husband, Phil, was hospitalized for 10 days, all while balancing a full-time job. Her village has been a true lifeline through it all.

Wishing you and your families a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year! Here’s to a healthy and fulfilling 2025!
Morgen and Trisha are back and diving straight into a sizzling topic (pun intended)—perimenopause! Get ready for an eye-opening conversation that promises to spark insightful discussions and shed light on this important phase of life.
At just 43, Trisha is navigating the rocky waters of perimenopause. She's battling her ovaries' not-so-subtle protests and experiencing ovulation cramps like never before. To top it off, she's grappling with debilitating menstrual migraines, a complete loss of libido, and a mood that rarely rises above the gray. Determined to reclaim her balance, Trisha has started exploring natural remedies to help ease her symptoms. She’s learned that Black cohosh can work wonders in balancing hormones, while Ashwagandha may offer some relief by boosting her mood, enhancing sleep, and promoting relaxation. Trisha is on a journey to find her way back to feeling like herself!
Tune in to discover more, and we’d love to hear your stories too! Feel free to drop us an email at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. As Morgen puts it, happy hour has definitely taken on a whole new vibe these days—can you relate? 😂
It’s been a while, but Morgen and Trisha could not be happier about being back together to record! Life gets a little crazy, but finding their space here means so much to them, so thank you to everyone joining. Today is all about their parental learnings!
Screentime is topic #1: How much is too much? How do you monitor it? Have you noticed any changes in your child’s behavior?
Don’t miss out on the rest: potty training, healthy eating, swimming comfort levels, and navigating kid emotions.
New to this episode, Morgen and Trisha added the one-liners—you know, those things that the kids say that make you mortified, chuckle, and sometimes at a loss for words. They give the top three things their kids have said in addition to their momfessions. Till next time, ciao!!!
Well, this episode will give you some insight into why we’ve been off the grid for a while (with pop-in appearances from all the kiddos). Morgen and Trisha catch up on life, love, health, and family as they keep it real with all the big feelings. Life has a funny way of reminding us how short it is, what is truly important, and what we’re made of. Transitions and challenges are inevitable in life, and it’s how we handle them that builds our character.
Listen in to get an update on what has been happening in the lives of Morgen and Trisha, and give them an update on your own life at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Strap in for a heavy one. Trisha and Morgen dive into some significant life events they have recently experienced and are working through and processing.
Trisha's twin sister, Jessica, moved her and the kids 10 hours away. Trisha and Jessica have been together for everything… their children's births, their marriages, Trisha's divorce, the birth of their children, all the way up to the passing of Jessica's husband two years ago. They have never been more than an hour apart.
Morgen talks about the nostalgia of visiting with family she hasn't seen in over a decade, partaking in traditions and food recipes she had forgotten about, and even driving by her birth mother's house.
There are phone calls, texts, FaceTime, and emails, but nothing can replace face-to-face interactions with the ones you love. Change is inevitable in life. It's how quickly you can adapt, make the most of your new situation, and embrace all that there is to learn along the way.
Apparently, Trisha and Morgen need to record in the mornings because the energy level is palpable. And how appropriate as we introduce Morgen and Phil’s 3rd edition to the family, Harlow Rae!
Trisha and Morgen catch up on life with the three and the dynamics in the home. They discuss the challenges of giving each child one-on-one attention while also managing big emotions and ensuring there is quiet downtime from the constant go.
As the family grows and being working parents, it also means recruiting childcare to help out. You won’t want to miss Charlie and Auggie’s little voices at the end of this episode and the momfessions. Please don’t hesitate reach out and say hello at momjeansandminivins@yahoo.com
Get ready for some Morgen and Trisha squirrel moments because this episode got them. Every once in a while, Mom Jeans and Minivans likes to take a listener email and share their responses with the whole listening clan. Follow along as Morgen and Trisha tackle newborn bonding and entertainment, sensory bin ideas, their favorite children’s books, diaper-changing tricks, tv shows, and parental advice. It’s like eight mini-episodes rolled into one, a smorgasbord of topics. Enjoy! Reach out, and maybe you’ll make the next episode, momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com!
How do we teach gratitude to our children? Morgen and Trisha discuss how they have been handling the girls, who are four years old and with an influx of birthday parties to attend. Charlie has been struggling with gift-giving and being unable to keep or open the presents herself. Morgen can't help but wonder if there is more she should be doing to teach her about giving to others and ensure Charlie isn't becoming spoiled. Morgen is hoping Trisha is right and this is simply a phase. 🤞🏽
Trisha continues to teach Remi the importance of giving to children and people who are less fortunate. It is challenging to go into a store and not have Remi ask for toys, so Trisha made a rule that she will purchase a small item for Remi with every four toys she donates.
What do you do to help teach gratitude to your children? Please share because, as parents, we are constantly learning and growing! Also, you're not going to want to miss our end of the episode mom-fessions! They're the best part.
We’re talking 3’s today. Morgen is expecting baby #3, and Trisha is one of 3, with an older sister and twin sister (who also has three children!) There are 3s all around!
So what’s the big difference going from 2 to 3 kids? How do the dynamics change except for the obvious, being officially outnumbered? We can say that 3, whether having three or having two siblings and being 1 of 3, definitely adds an extra layer of adventure. A.k.a., it’s pretty awesome! Con: Be ready to upgrade your vehicle to one with a third row. Space gets tight quickly with the bulky car seats.
Do you have three kids? Are you one of three? Are you thinking of having three? Write in and share! We can be reached at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
It’s time for a pat on the back.
Morgen and Trisha, more like Trisha, wanted to take the time to acknowledge what we think we do well as parents. Morgen is the ‘but mom,’ lol, no pun intended, who has a hard time admitting what she loves about herself as a parent because she feels she could do it all better. Unless we are the exception from the norm, pretty sure that’s a prerequisite to becoming a mom! Us moms (and dads) don’t take enough time to stop and acknowledge what we do well, regardless of whether it could use improvement. So here we are!
Morgen even came around at the end and had two things she thinks she excels at in her mama role! Listen in for what we think they do well at when it comes to parenting (shout out to Phil in this episode as well) with some fun stories and examples. Please share what you love about yourself as a parent to momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. It will feel so good!
Wait until you find out the punch line of this riddle. Hint hint, Mom Jeans And Minivans is growing!! Did you catch on or need more time like Trisha did in this episode? 🤣Not to give too much away, Morgen talks about pregnancy, medical scares, complications, morning sickness, and the joy of surprising your little's with news that they will be a big sister or brother… again. Ok, we gave it away! MORGEN'S HAVING A BABY!!🤭Charlie is very excited about "Pirates Booty Girl," and her true nurturing side really emerged. Good thing because mom-brain is in full effect, so some sympathy and understanding is needed. You'll have to listen in to Morgen's momfession(s) for a good laugh, at her expense, of course. Sorry mama's, gotta laugh right?!
You will not want to miss this episode, especially if you have older, athletic kids. We have a very special guest, Andre Collins. Not only is he Morgen’s brother-in-law, but he is a father of 3, played for 10 seasons in the NFL, and has been working for 18 years in the NFL Players Union, helping NFL athletes find purpose after a life of football. Dre shares what the journey has been like for his son, Chet, a senior in high school, as they navigate getting him noticed and recruited for basketball in college. They transferred from their home in Arlington, VA, to be in Dre’s hometown for Chet’s senior year, where his chances of getting noticed are better. There is no questioning the sacrifices that are made for our children. Dre and his wife, Erika’s experience with their children and athletics is pretty incredible. Get ready to be inspired and learn a bunch along the way too. Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com is where we can be found for questions or sharing of any kind. Thanks for checking in, ENJOY!
To us adults, our responsibilities are chores, but to children, particularly our 4-year-olds, they’re fun tasks that empower them and make them feel like they are helpful and independent!
In this episode, Morgen and Trisha discuss the responsibilities and chores they encourage the girls to take on. Morgen has Charlie starting to load the dishwasher, putting shoes away when she walks in from outside and dressing herself in the mornings.
Trisha dives into behavioral challenges or shifts she has encountered with Remi since she turned 4, such as “negative” talk, “violent” talk, and her intense interest in genitalia.
Join us and share your stories with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
In this episode, we have our special guest, Kat, a single mom of 3-year-old (or as Charlie would call it, 3 3/4) twins, Aubrey and Evelyn! Let’s just say Kat’s journey to single-mom-hood has been far from easy. Kat dives into the nitty gritty of how that came to be while also expressing that ‘momming’ is her favorite job, the girls are angels, and her ex is, by far, the most challenging part of all of it. Are we safe in assuming there are sadly too many women who have contended with this same struggle?
Kat has had her heart broken twice since the girls were born, so she has taken the past year to work on herself. She is giving her heart space to heal and learn who she is. In focusing on being her most authentic self, she is hoping it betters herself and also attracts the right person.
She’s taking a break from dating apps as they have not yielded the best results and hoping she can find someone the good ol’ fashion way. She has been fortunate enough to have a fantastic family and friends support system and a great community around her. She also apparently has dating options, so it looks like that self-care is paying off.
Do you hvae a single mom dating story for us? You can share at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com, and thanks for being the best listeners!
Got a spouse that robbed the cradle? Haha, kidding, we’re so rude. Seriously though, you’re probably not going to want to miss this one with our special guest, Emily, as we talk about, can you guess? Yup, all things when dealing with an older spouse.
There are pros and cons to every relationship, but in this episode, we discuss how an 8-15 year age gap can affect them. We cover social life and how that shifts, families and what that means for having children, how our friends and families took the news, and overall health and staying active is not only essential but can be one of the biggest concerns. We dished on our older spouses; now let’s hear about yours. Side note, we think we need to start a group for us younger spouses! Keeping it real as usual. Thanks for listening in, and reach out anytime at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com!
Morgen and Trisha kick off the start of the third season, dishing about the QT they took for themselves over the break. This was a much-needed mental break for them both, a chance to slow down and focus on themselves without feeling like they had to be “on” at all times. Birthdays are the perfect reason to escape everyday life, and Morgen and Trisha took full advantage this year. Trisha flew to the west coast to a luxurious, remote, all-inclusive resort with her sisters and best friend, while Morgen stayed on the east coast with her friend in the Catskill mountains, enjoying a private chartered boat ride and wineries. Trisha’s ‘girl code rule’ on trips is a must for self-care getaways! Listen in for the details and start planning because if you’re anything like Morgen and Trisha, you will not regret it.
As the girls get a little pickier and more opinionated about what they are eating and Auggie remains Auggie, Morgen and Trisha are starting to focus on the language they are using around food, such as "are you full?" instead of "finish your dinner!". The veggie struggle is real in Morgen's house, and she is learning to focus on the benefits of rainbow foods, while Trisha has a fun rainbow food-spiration that may get Charlie to try a few new things. In this episode, Trisha was on a roll with creative ideas that Morgen can't wait to try out.
Teaching healthy eating is not always easy (and the ladies are guilty of sneaking treats in the front seat while driving and asking the girls how the apple is tasting in the backseat). How can we as parents incorporate veggies without the kids knowing or presenting it in a way that makes it appealing?
Morgen and Trisha offer some recipes they're going to try and ways to make eating fun for the kiddos! As always, Mom Jeans and Minivans would love to hear your advice on food!!! Reach out and share at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com . We will be back after the summer, so until next time!

Morgen and Trisha are pretty minimal when it comes to makeup. Morgen does a light daily routine, and Trisha often doesn't wear any. Every once in a while, they want a little 'sprucing' or 'enhancing', as Trisha explains it to Remi. The bottom line is it needs to be quick, easy, and look good. In this episode, Morgen and Trisha dish about their favorite products and why. It looks like a selfie might need to be in order with and without makeup to see how well they 'enhance' their looks 😉!

Mom Jeans and Minivans has reached its 100th episode (sound the trumpets). Seriously mom tribe, how did we get here?!
Morgen and Trisha go down memory lane and discuss where they were 100 episodes ago compared to now. They felt like chill mom's from day one of parenting, but listening back, they realized they researched more than they realized and weren't half as casual as they thought. In going down memory lane, they counted down the top episodes. Can you guess what episodes landed in the top 3 spots?
Morgen and Trisha reminisce on sleep training and what it was like for them, with Charlie & Remi being their firsts compared to now with Auggie. Let's be honest, how could sleep not be a topic? Us mama's need the children to sleep more than they do. We talk name changes, discipline, wails & screams, potty training, and how sometimes you do what you have to, to survive, like bundling Remi in winter gear to stay warm and sleep at night. It's all in there.
This is a fun one for sure. Grab some wine, and laugh along with Morgen & Trisha to see what has changed since you first started to listen to MJAMV. We enjoyed a few listener emails as well, so please continue to email us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Life goes by so quickly, especially life with kids! Morgen and Trisha discuss some daily parenting reminders they try to be mindful of as they navigate toddlerhood. Charlie and Remi can seem wise beyond their three years, and Morgen and Trisha can forget how young they are. They try to remain open and understand how Charlie and Remi feel and aid the girls in expressing their emotions. Staying calm when the girls have BIG feelings tests both Morgen and Trisha. Setting limits as parents has allowed them to respect their own needs. They try their best to model what calming their own body looks like. How to respectfully stick up for themselves is easier said than done with the toddlers testing their boundaries. Listen in for some of Morgen’s ideas about the peace corner and how useful a pinwheel can be. Trisha has a list of daily reminders she looks over before starting her day.
All we can expect of ourselves is what we expect of our children: to show up every day and learn right along with them. Be kind to yourself!
Do you have parenting reminders or things you try to always be mindful of? Please share with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. Morgen and Trisha would love to hear from you!
Covid strikes Morgen & Trisha’s households! What an unpredictable virus Covid is. It doesn’t matter how calloused your nose is from the excessive mask-wearing or the shriveled-up skin from the constant hand washing. It still can get you. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to who and when people get it. Morgen had colds that hit her harder than Covid, while Trisha couldn’t get out of bed for two days. Regardless of their symptoms, having the kids while sick was the worse part for both Morgen & Trisha.
Meanwhile, Charlie, Auggie, and Remi still have not gotten it (and hopefully don’t) despite all the positive cases at school and having it at home. Remi has been out of school for 2 1/2 months this year alone because of mandated quarantines. At this point, Trisha is just over quarantines since kids and people are getting Covid with and without quarantines, so she questions how effective these quarantines are.
Is anyone else ready for Covid to be over!?! Morgen is pushing for a mask-burning party. Let’s do it! Also, you’re not going to want to miss these momfessions. Please do share your best momfession, with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com
1st birthdays are always a big deal for parents, and just recently, we celebrated Auggie’s! Side note, wasn’t he just born? How is he one already?
What does going all-out for your child’s 1st birthday mean to you? Morgen shares what her all-out rock concert-themed party was like. Don’t forget your backstage access pass when you walk in—just saying. Morgen and Trisha also discuss the differences between 1st birthdays with Covid and without Covid and between 1st born and 2nd born. The primary difference being the calmer mood, yes please to that!
There is always the gift aspect to birthdays. Trisha talks about the fantastic and unusual gifts SHE received for Remi’s birthday. Yes, you read correctly. Trisha received gifts for Remi’s 1st birthday. They were a ‘congrats on making it to 1 year. You deserve to take time for yourself since your whole first year has been invested in your child. Think gift certificate and babysitting so Trisha could get her hair cut and a bottle of wine) !
Share all your birthday stories with us, from the extravagant details to the surprises you loved and didn’t love, at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com
It's time to send your baby off to school, pre-school. But what school is right for you? The task is nearly as daunting as buying the right house. Trisha is frustrated with Remi's current school from the lack of communication, days off from Covid, and the sweet treats handed out at the door. Trisha is now on the hunt and struggles to find a school that checks all the boxes. Is that even possible? One school seems perfect, but it is only open for 2 hours! That won't work for two parents that work full time. Another school prioritizes activities and outdoor times with a rock wall and yoga classes but seems too militant as a whole. So the search continues for the right school for Remi, and it has Trisha stressed. Not to mention the cost of it all. Morgen is grateful she could bypass the anxiety of it all. She lends a listening ear and offers a few suggestions of her own in the quest for Remi's new school. Share your pre-school struggles, the things you love about yours, or just write in for any ol' reason at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Morgen and Trisha didn't think twice about treating Charlie and Remi's hair the same way as their own. Until recently, they have been using similar products and brushes/combs on the girls for three years. Charlie and Remi's hair had grown longer and had become harder to manage. Morgen and Trisha decided it was time to switch things up.
Morgen realized she wasn't getting Charlie's knots when her sister-in-law spent two hours on Charlie's hair, and it was transformed. Trisha realized she had been battling a rat's nest behind Remi's head for far too long. That's when the ladies of the show had an "ah-ha" moment and decided it was time to start educating themselves on the types of hair the girls have. They're introducing the girls to new ways of styling and making sure they love their hair as much as their mama's do.
Product info is in the 'links' section below. You'll want to listen to the end because this episode's momfession theme is about bathroom disasters. Please do share your hair stories with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com

In this week’s episode, Morgen & Trisha talk not only about teenagers but also navigating this already tricky stage while also being a step-parent. Jack is a month away from being 18, and soon, he’ll be an adult going off to college 10 hours away from home. Being a child of divorce means his time is split evenly between both households, so all parties already feel like time with him is limited. Now knowing he will be off on his own soon, Trisha fears that she hasn’t cultivated a strong enough connection to maintain the level of what their relationship is now through the distance. Essentially, she and Jacen wish they could turn back time to get more of it with Jack. What parent doesn’t feel that way with teenagers, though?! Morgen and Trisha talk about fears, mood swings, teenagers and toddlers, and everything in between. Does anyone from the parenting tribe want to chime in on their teenager experiences?! Please do share with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com, and thanks for listening in!
This episode focuses on our newest addition to Mom Jeans and Minivans, Auggie! Well, he’s not that new, he’s 10 months old already… where does the time go?!
Where Auggie used to be called “Mr. Chill”, he’s becoming a little too intense to maintain that name. He is strong.. and persistent. Couple those things together and Mr. Chill isn’t chillin’ too much anymore. He’s scaling furniture, climbing stairs, trying to do anything Charlie is doing, is 23lbs and has 4 teeth. We’ve got a picky eater on our hands and one who’s never been much of a great sleeper. He’s a happy little guy though and finds moments to be a gentle, snuggly teddy bear and that’s what is really important. He’s a dare devil, loves things that make sounds like the door stop, throwing anything he can get his hands on and playing chase around the house.
Morgen and Trisha tried their best to keep the focus on Auggie but it somehow always goes back to Charlie & Remi. Sorry little guy, we have a feeling the girl’s might always try to steal the spotlight.
Enjoy getting the scoop on Auggie and if you’ve got anything to share please reach us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Noooo! Charlie and Remi are transitioning out of their naps! It took Trisha and Jacen about 2-3 weeks to figure out a new schedule for Remi that had her napping later in the day and for shorter lengths. It has been key to a balanced day and night sleep, resulting in a happier toddler. Morgen’s struggle is when she misses the sleep window. Any parent who misses the precious window, whether food or sleep, knows that it is a window you never want to miss again. Listen in as Morgen and Trisha discuss the difference between nightmares and night terrors, the wrath of a sleepy toddler, and the struggle they are dealing with in their new sleep schedules. This episode came with a beverage du jour for Morgen & Trisha, and we hope you’ll have one with us and share your toddler stories at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com !
Do any other parents out there struggle to balance parenting, childcare, occupations, and just life in general?!? Two hands are raised over here! This episode focuses on the childcare aspect of parenting and life. Both Morgen and Phil work, add Covid to the mix, and finding childcare for Auggie has posed a real challenge. Morgen speaks about the four different providers she’s had to use in just three months, the avenues she went down to find them, the high price point of childcare, mixed in with someone that meets her criteria. It’s stressful, to say the least! Please share your experiences, especially any listeners outside of the United States. Morgen and Trisha are always intrigued to hear how things differ internationally. We can be reached at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com Happy child-rearing!
The holidays are here! Happy holidays to our MJAMV tribe!
Are you ready? I mean, who's ever really prepared, lol.
Morgen and Trisha discuss what the holidays mean to them and their plans for the season. Creating and maintaining traditions is something essential to them both. After their tree cutting, Ms. Claus will leave Charlie and August pajamas, while the reindeer may accidentally leave a bell or two behind. Trisha also cherishes her family tree-cutting experience every year. While the holidays can be hectic, Morgen has set a goal this year to have the house decorated and presents wrapped by the beginning of December so she can enjoy the drive-thru light shows, baking, and holiday cheer stress-free. After the passing of her brother-in-law and Jack getting older, Trisha is finding new ways to create cherished memories.
August is still too little to know what is going on, but with Charlie and Remi being three, they understand a little more about what is happening, which makes seeing the wonder in their eyes so exciting!
What do the holidays mean to you? We'd love to hear at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com! The Mom Jeans and Minivans family wish you and your family the healthiest, safest, and merriest of holidays! Here's to 2022!
Relationships and marriages are hard, add kids to the mix, and the real work begins.
Children have a way of zapping us parents of all our energy. Many times once we've taken care of them and all our responsibilities, we've got none left for each other. Sex or sleep?! These mama's are taking the zzz's these days!
Trisha and Morgen discuss their marital struggles and how difficult it can be to carve out time and energy for Phil and Jacen, apologize in arguments, or find ways to show and express how much love and appreciation they have for them. Phil and Jacen who, you ask?! Exactly our point.
We can see the head nods now as you listen in and relate to the things Morgen and Trisha share. Speaking of sharing, please share your own stories and thoughts with Morgen and Trisha at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com and perhaps finish it off with a momfession.
Charlie & Remi are officially 3! Morgen & Trisha dish all about their special days and how their parties went.
Trisha loved the intimate farm excursion and having immediate family over afterward for dinner and her redeeming 7” cake. Remi’s outfit was a total hit with the crown headband and sparkly rose gold ballet shoes.
Morgen created a Fall Festival where the bounce house was a HUGE hit. She also had Fall themed activity stations to keep the kiddos entertained. Trisha’s favorite part was a long toddler table and chairs for the kids to eat at.
This is the best age! It is non-stop and a lot at times, but overall it is the most fun Morgen & Trisha have ever had.
Share your birthday festivities with us and let us know what you’d do again and what you wouldn’t do again! Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com
Morgen took her eyes off of Charlie for literally seconds to tend to Auggie’s pooey diaper, only to discover that Charlie was being returned by a father that saw her run off in those couple of seconds of wiping!
It made Morgen and Trisha realize that it’s never too soon to talk to the girls about stranger danger, but they’re three, so how do you go about making them aware without scaring them?
It starts with the basics, discussing their feelings and intuition, talking through personal space, so they don’t go up to strangers and finding ways that relate and make sense to a toddler. Oh, and repetition, repetition, repetition.
Morgen and Trisha both stumbled across an article on four easy steps to teaching children about the danger of strangers. It went over what to do in a situation when a child gets separated from you. Oh, and listen in for another article Trisha references. A mother taught her daughter a unique way of recognizing stranger danger that both Morgen and Trisha plan to teach Charlie and Remi!

Whether children are transitioning from home to school or changing classrooms within their school, changes can be stressful for kids. Morgen and Trisha both saw signs that Charlie and Remi were in a bit of distress with their school transitions, and they did their best to address it and try to help comfort them through it.
One of the most prominent signs was crying at drop-off, accidents after the girls had already been potty trained, and seeming uninterested in wanting to discuss what they had done at school.
The answer to all of it was having a little more involvement with the school and teachers. Morgen helped Charlie learn other students' names in her classroom while Trisha made the car ride up to school fun and engaging with conversation and sing-along songs.
Reach out to us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com and tell us about the signs and tricks you used to help your kids transition!
Oh my gosh, how are Charlie and Remi 3 already?!? Morgen & Trisha discuss what they have planned. While Trisha is going super low-key, Morgen is doing a big 3rd bday bash. The big question is what time do they start the festivities since the girls still nap midday (which, p.s. thank goodness for that, mama needs a break to get stuff done).
Of course, having October babes means Fall-themed everything, which Trisha & Morgen love. Bring on the pumpkin painting, bouncy houses, pony rides, caramel apple-making bar, and so much more!!!
Share your birthday plans for your kiddos. We want all the details! Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .

Does anyone have a two-going 12-year-old toddler where the tantrums are almost laughable/infuriating at times? It's a roller coaster ride, to say the least?!
Morgen and Trisha spill the beans on what Charlie's and Remi's tantrums are like. It's the whining that can drive Trisha's blood pressure sky high, especially in the car. The thorn in Morgen's side is when Charlie throws her things, especially since her water bottles and toys keep breaking.
Let's just say the eggshell walk is real. You are teetering on a very fine line, not knowing which side of the toddler reaction you will fall on today.
We know you must have some fantastic toddler tantrum stories, so please share with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Morgen and Trisha touch on the societal stereotypes we feel our children are pushed into. When shopping, the girls' section is all pinks and purples with flowers, ballerinas, and what is deemed feminine. The boys' section is all blues and greens with trucks, Dinosaurs, and superheroes. The same goes for the toys the kids are given. Girls are expected to play with dolls and have tea parties while the boys are given trucks and robots. The societal norms are more than just gift-givers going with social influences; it starts at the stores we buy from. As mama's with girls, Morgen & Trisha want Charlie & Remi to be empowered and not too influenced by societal stereotypes on what is considered feminine or masculine. The same goes for Auggie when he gets older.
Listen in and weigh in on your thoughts. Also, would you shop at the store Trisha has in mind of creating?! Contact us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. We can't wait to hear from you!
Baby monitors, baby monitors, baby monitors!
Morgen and Trisha recently upgraded their baby monitors, almost three years later, and both love their new ones compared to their previous ones. The image is better, and the camera rotation is better. They’re on a secure network; multiple cameras can be connected to the same baby monitor, and the connection and battery life are better.
Bottom line, a baby monitor is one of the items that is used the most, so you want to make sure it checks all the boxes. Listen in to find out which two Morgen and Trisha ended up with and why.
Please do share what you love or hate about yours because we’re always scoping the scene! You can reach us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com and make sure you include your momfession.

The theme of this week's episode is 'do whatever you have to do to get by,' and it's referring to the crib-to-toddler bed transition.
Morgen and Trisha talk about their totally different timelines, sacrifices made for more sleep, and how both Charlie and Remi respond differently to methods used to help them sleep and transition to their big girl beds. Trisha transitioned Remi early, around 16 months, because she started climbing out of her crib shortly after her first birthday. Charlie is almost three, and Morgen is going through the process now and has a 5-month-old unpredictable baby to contend with.
The struggle is real, mamas!
Morgen is yearning for one night of uninterrupted sleep since it's been a year and a half since she's had one. Trisha's three-month process had her sleeping on the floor in front of Remi's bed some nights, barely sleeping, but at least being able to stay horizontal and not have to get up 1000 times. The things moms do for their children, and to get an ounce more sleep!

Death is a part of life, and unfortunately, every person will be affected by it at some point in their life. When death strikes close to home, and there are children involved, helping them process it all can be a tricky road to navigate.
Remi just lost her uncle Johnny to a nine-year battle with brain cancer, and Trisha did a lot of research and got creative on ways to discuss it with Remi and her niece and nephews (Johnny's children).
Books are a great way to introduce and explain death to children, while guided journals can be a way to create memory boxes. Getting paper lanterns that the kids can draw on and sending messages to their loved ones is an excellent way to feel connected with someone who is physically not there anymore.
Death is a sensitive time for everyone involved, and although children are very resilient, they are still trying to process feelings and emotions much bigger than they are. Be patient, be kind, and understanding, and if you are simply there, you're already one step ahead.
Now on a separate note, if potty training is a part of your world right now, you'll want to hear Morgen and Trisha's momfessions this week, plus you'll get to learn what a "BM" is if you don't already know.

Morgen and Trisha are joined by new mom, Allison, as they delve into all things maternity leave. More importantly, the struggles of returning to work after maternity leave. Let’s say the week and especially the night before returning to work involved many mini breakdowns and tears.
They discuss common misconceptions like people thinking maternity leave is like vacation when in reality, it is exhausting, and wonderful.
Both Morgen’s marternity leave with Auggie, and Allison’s with Harrison was during Covid making them both feel pretty isolated and limited on getting out and doing things with the babes.
There are so many emotions with having a new baby but us mama’s got this. One day and one maternity leave at a time.
Share your story! Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Having an infant, no matter if it's your first or you've got multiples, is exhausting. Having infant tips, tricks, and hacks can make all the difference in keeping your sanity and getting through the day. Listen in as Morgen and Trisha dish about the things that made their lives easier, and let's be honest, every minute counts.
Yes, all the contraptions that allow you to wear your baby are lifesavers. Hands-free is not just a term used with cell phones. Those cute crossover tulip-shaped shoulders on onesies are not just adorable but functional, and any parent that has dealt with a diaper explosion can attest to that. (Ahem, Trisha).
It's also about the things that give you back a little bit of your sanity through the chaos. Morgen can take long hot showers again because she's discovered that Auggie likes the sound of running water. Morgen and Trisha advise you to take the help when offered and go on mommy play dates with mothers who have a child or children the same age. You'll be glad you did.

It’s summer 2021, the Covid vaccines have come out, and Morgen and Trisha discuss what that means for summer playdates.
Dealing with Covid for over a year has created a new norm of social distancing. There is some discomfort, fear, and anxieties around exposing our toddlers to more people and being maskless. Is it weird to ask people if they’ve been vaccinated?
How are you going to approach summer and letting more people into your circle? Please do share with Morgen and Trisha at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com , and you’ll probably want to stick around for this week’s momfessions. Cheers and happy summer, everyone!!
It's dentist time!
Somehow the dentist visit seems to be the one appointment that parents procrastinate on. Add Covid into the mix, and that procrastination gets amplified.
When do you bring your child to the dentist for the first time? When do you start brushing or start flossing? What toothpaste do you use, fluoride or no fluoride? These ladies had so many questions, more so Morgen, and Trisha helped answer many of them in this "Lil' mama-sode," with Remi conquering her first dental visit. Plus, you won't want to miss baby Auggie chatter while the ladies were on the mic. Talk about keeping mom life real! #newbornmamalife

In November, these mommas mentally prepared for their toddler's messiest and most adult-involved milestone yet, potty training. Both Morgen and Trisha planned on tackling potty training differently.
It's now four months later when pen to paper meets reality. In this episode, we update you on the reality of potty training, sharing what we ended up doing and how it REALLY is going, especially now that they are at the bowl movement stage. Playground accidents, anyone?
Remi was ready to take the lead within a week, whereas Charlie slowly grasped the concept and then regressed once her brother was born, causing Morgen to change her approach a few times. The ladies also discuss how the training is going at home versus school and they highly suggest sending to school extra pants you won't mind having sit there for weeks on end. Morgen sent a pair of pants to school she forgot about, and thought Charlie was wearing another child's pants when she came home in them.
Let's not forget that potty training isn't just about trying to make it accident-free. It's also about toddlers learning to wipe. Too little toilet paper, too much toilet paper, the struggle is real.
Morgen and Trisha may differ on how they tackle potty training, but their most significant takeaway is to follow the child. Both Charlie and Remi let their parents know in their own ways when they were ready. As a parent, you can be afraid of "missing the potty training window," but we promise you won't if you listen to your child and the signs they are giving you.

Morgen & Trisha welcome the newest addition to their Mom Jeans and Minivans tribe, August, aka “Auggie.” Congratulations to Morgen, Phil & Charlie. They are now a family of 4. Just wait until you see those cheeks! They’re scrumptious!
This episode is about how the first 3 weeks have been for Morgen with a newborn and a toddler. Morgen speaks about a scare at the hospital and how breastfeeding is going. Every baby is different, so although Morgen is doing much of the same things that she did with Charlie, there are some things she has decided to do differently... like waking Auggie during the day to feed him and throwing the “never wake a sleeping baby” rule out the window. You have to hear the sweetest thing that Morgen did for Charlie when she knew she’d be in the hospital away from her for a couple of days, mom award of the year, just saying.
Listen in to hear what it’s like with a newborn and a toddler and how Morgen balances it all. There are some interesting takeaways you won’t want to miss. Got a newborn and want to share some stories; please do at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CWK4S5W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_M03YKPWPD5515D3H0T74?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Alright, Morgen and Trisha might have only realized this once they started recording, but the funny things the girls do are perhaps not as amusing as they are cute unless you see them in the act. Haha whoops.
The hope is that this episode stirs up some of your own memories and makes you smile just hearing the joy in Morgen and Trisha’s voices as they recall the funny things that the girls are doing right now. Toddlers truly say and do the darndest things.
As moms of 2-year-olds, they often hear other mothers with older children say how they miss the toddler stage. If only we could bottle it up and save it forever.
If you’ve some good stories, pics, or videos, please share as we love connecting with our Mom Jeans and Minivans posse! Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Running errands which led to Charlie trying her first strawberry milkshake, opened the door to wondering what kind of mommy-daughter dates we can make happen? Morgen and Trisha dish about all the ideas they have for the mommy-daughter dates. The girls are getting older and will begin remembering these moments, so they want to start now. Plus, parents of two can relate to children having to share their parents and carving out time for both kiddos. Eventually, Morgen and Trisha want to create actual dates with the girls like a firehouse excursion, princess day with manicures & pedicures, a day at a local animal rescue farm, a tea party, and indoor gyms. These mamas need the girls to get their energy out, so something active is a must at some point in each date.
We throw lots of ideas out there for mommy-daughter dates but are always looking for more ideas, so if you've got a good one up your sleeve, please do share at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .

Get ready for cuteness overload! Morgen and Trisha put Charlie & Remi on the microphone in this episode, and it’s so stinkin’ adorable. Listen in as this one is toddler-led, and the two-year-olds are taking over with talking, singing, pure goofiness, and answering questions in the way only toddlers can. Their sweet little voices will melt your heart and also have you asking for a toddler translator at times.
Do you have a video of your kiddo that you can’t show to enough people? Please do send it our way at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Mom Jeans and Minivans is all about our babes and the mom life, but today Morgen and Trisha gush about their hands-on hubbies and how present they are in their kiddo's lives.
Both Jacen and Phil are instrumental in the morning routine and getting the girls out the door on time. They make breakfast and lunch, and we're talking about writing notes for the teachers when food needs to be heated and cutting strawberries like hearts near Valentine's Day. That's just a few of the ones worth mentioning.
Morgen and Trisha share stories about the special bond both Phil and Jacen have with Charlie, Remi, and Jack. The unique ways they play and let the kids know how much they love and care for them.
This is a fun one. What do you or your significant others do that is note-worthy? Feel free to share with Morgen and Trisha at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com .
Morgen and Trisha decided to have some fun and come up with 10 mom questions for one another. There are no shortages of mom gushes and the occasional thought-provoking question sure to stall or stump one another (unintentionally, of course). Join them for this Lil'Momma-sode, as they ask each other questions ranging from, "If you had a 25 hour day and everyone else still only had 24, what would you do with the extra time?" to "What one thing has surprised you the most about parenting? "
How would you answer them? Have any of your own you'd like to ask or share? Please do at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Road and family trips seem like a thing of the past. With Covid vaccines and hopes on the horizon, they thought they’d air this episode (that they recorded over a year ago). They reminisce about their upbringing in hopes of recreating similar memories with Remi and Charlie.
They share some great stories about the family trips both Morgen and Trisha went on and the things that stick out in their minds from the family time together. Bike riding, camping, hiking, and cross country skiing are activities that they both remember doing. It’s interesting how you’d hate aspects of these trips as a kid, but as an adult, it’s what made it a memory and one you’ve grown to love! Morgen used to fly solo to visit family and friends, while Trisha would have long weekends with her Aunts and Uncles. Listen in to hear their stories about fake horse galloping, farting, movie binging, what to do in the event of a bear, and laughing, always lots of laughing.
We hope this stirs up some of your own memories and gets you thinking about the next outing you can do with your littles. Please share your stories, as Morgen and Trisha love nothing more than hearing from their listeners at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Lauren, Trisha's cousin, is fresh out of pregnancy number two and joins Morgen (who is ready to pop) as well as Trisha to discuss all the truths of pregnancy that only your girlfriends would tell you.
While we all might know about the usual pregnancy symptoms like sensitivity to smell, trouble sleeping, food cravings, larger breasts, and peeing more, listen in to hear about the things you might not have heard.
Spoiler alert: get ready for some engorging (must listen for details on what that even means, haha) and larger and darker areola's (don't worry, they go back), to name a few things the ladies discuss on the mic.
If you have a good pregnancy story up your sleeve, please share it with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
In the meantime, enjoy the pregnancy symptoms Lauren, Morgen, and Trisha recall from their pregnancies. This episode is sure to make you laugh out loud and feel like you are chatting along with your closest girlfriends.
Does your toddler have Jekyll and Hyde tendencies?! Hi and welcome to the 2’s. The struggle is R-E-A-L! Morgen & Trisha expand on the highs and lows of a day in the life with Charlie & Remi. The thorn in Morgen’s side is trying to get Charlie dressed every day while Trisha’s revolves around hanger (angry due to being hungry) issues.
Have you been experiencing toddler meltdowns over the most minuscule thing ever, and then suddenly a complete 180 (sometimes even a giggle included), leaving you wondering what in the eff just occurred?!? Yup, bewildered parents, another sign that you have a toddler.
There is no shortage of stories that could be told at this stage, so please do share yours with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com and enjoy the show!
How could inappropriate banter not be a part of an episode about vasectomies, or snippity-do-dah's as Trisha and her husband, Jacen, started to refer to them as? Jacen walks through every step of the process, from the endless YouTube videos he watched before the procedure to the recovery afterward and everything in between.
You'll most likely find yourself wincing when Jacen delves into the details of the procedure. Whether you have balls or not, it just sounds painful. Since we're on the topic, did you know an ergonomically designed ice pack was explicitly made for vasectomies? Yup, it turned out to be a very worthy purchase indeed.
No one situation will ever be the same, and you'll run into guys that have stories all over the spectrum from horrible to a walk in the park. Jacen gives it to you straight, it's just how he rolls, so if you're thinking about it or just wondering what it's all about, this is the episode for you.
Until next time!

Only children aren't doomed! Morgen speaks about being an only child while Trisha talks about having only one baby considering the 14 year age gap between Remi and her brother Jack.
Morgen reflects on her school days and growing up, even into adulthood, of friends asking about wanting or having a sibling. She didn't think about it until her 20's, and it's a perspective you'll want to hear about.
Trisha speaks of her gratitude for her family and takes advantage of Remi's moments, knowing she is the one and only, and wanting to embrace every moment with her.
There are so many pros and cons to being an only child as well as having siblings. Listen in as Morgen and Trisha speak about all those pros and cons along with the only child stereotypes, aka "only child syndrome," as Trisha calls it (lol). Please do share how you were raised or are raising your children at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com . We always love hearing from you!
We think we speak for anyone plagued with Covid when we say it’s time to dream about life after it is over! Morgen and Trisha gush about all the things they’re looking forward to doing. Does anyone remember movie theaters? It feels like ages, although they also have 2-year-olds, so that was a thing of the past before Covid hit anyway.
Ahh, being able to just go outside and do what you want when you want feels like such a luxury. Spontaneously meeting up with friends or having people over will be so fun. We dream of being able to do day trips, taking the kiddos to parks, indoor gyms, aquariums, and, dare we say, hugging friends again. How about eating at restaurants?! A date night or spa day?!?! Yes, please!
What are you most looking forward to doing? Morgen and Trisha would love to hear from you at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MXHTC3T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_FHWZ0SMGF606BAK903AW
Oh, what a difference two and a half years makes. Morgen and Trisha reflect back to their baby showers. Back when friends and family could gather freely to celebrate the welcomed addition of a sweet new baby. They talk not only about what they loved about their showers and the personalized details that went into them... cupcakes, views of the outdoors, and woodland themes, to name a few. Trisha shares a genius idea about unwrapping gifts and taking the awkwardness out of having all eyes focused on you during this time.
This episode isn't just a reflection of their own baby showers, but a reflection on how the Covid pandemic has made virtual showers the new norm. Morgen shares how a friend's virtual shower was made special despite the virtual aspect.
Do you have thoughts on baby sprinkles? Morgen and Trisha dive into their feelings on them, as Morgen is expecting her second baby. To have a sprinkle or not to have a sprinkle?
Do you have other genius ideas that are a must for a baby shower, or have you been to a virtual shower that was awkward? Share with the ladies of the show at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com
Whether you live in the Northeast, and the winter season makes it challenging to get kids outside, or whether you're looking for indoor activities to keep your kids occupied during rainy and cold weather, Morgen and Trisha have a slew of gross motor ideas.
Warning: some of these activities are designed for the Little's yet require guidance and involvement. A.k.a, you may be getting just as much of a workout, if not more than them. Painters tape is inexpensive and the most versatile item to create a slew of indoor activities. Listen in for all of Morgen and Trisha's suggestions on how to use it. Other of their ideas involve multipurpose learning. Can you say a win-win? Household tasks are some of Charlie's and Remi's favorite activities, so the ladie's of the show channel that and put them to work around the house. Score!

Morgen and Trisha loved one of their listener emails so much they wanted to share it and tackle Laurel's questions and concerns about her two-year-old son, Liam. Boy, can we all relate to this one!
Children in the 2-year-old age range learn independence and express themselves, so possession of their toys and other items is a natural and expected behavior. "Mine" might be the most used word at this age, possibly even followed by a tantrum, which is always fun... NOT! It can make you want to pull your hair out from your child's constant need for attention, saying your name over and over again until you acknowledge them, even though you're on a work call and trying to cook at the same time?!? Yup, we hear you. It's hard not to lose your cool but reminding yourself that they are learning how to behave and what manners mean can make it easier to respond the way you'd like them to start acting and learning.
Choices, choices, choices is another thing that has been an extremely helpful tool to use. Offering choices will yield the result you're looking for and allow your child to feel empowered by being able to make a choice themselves.
Listen in to hear how Morgen and Trisha combat biting, and please do share your own experiences with them; Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. They love hearing from their listeners. Thanks again, Laurel, for your flattery and fantastic email. We hope we helped!
This episode is about the REAL holiday cards and letters that nobody would ever send! Forget the Hallmark stuff, full of fluff. Morgen and Trisha talk about what 2020 really looked like for them and what their letters to all their dear friends and family would look like. What would you include in there?!
Morgen would get real with what really goes on with IVF while also pursuing a new career, being pregnant, being a mom to a toddler, and going back to school for her certification in teaching... because it’s fun to see how much you can pile on your plate, haha.
Trisha had a doozy of a March with Covid hitting and Jacen losing his job, only to fast forward to September for him to lose it again. Anyone like rollercoasters?! This is one Trisha would like to get off of!
In this episode, they talk about needing vacations from family vacations, having only one child-free day away in 2 years when what you could really use is a week, bleeding spells, and all the other things that make life real but that you usually keep to yourself.
You know where to share your real year-end stories... momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Ciao 2020!
This should really be called the “I don’t know” episode because trying to figure out how virtual learning will work is still such an unknown. Is it for you? Have you figured it out or mastered a plan, because if so we’d love to hear it at https://www.amazon.com/Boiron-Camilia-Homeopathic-Medicine-Teething/dp/B005KG7U16
It's time for the TWO year wellness visit. Speaking of time, it is going by too fast, and these munchkins are growing like weeds, off the charts, apparently. Listen in to hear how Remi and Charlie's two-year check-ups compared. Their visits couldn't have been more opposite in the sense that Trisha went with Remi and was beaming with pride at how she handled the whole visit, literally putting her finger out to draw blood again so she could get another Band-aid. Watching the tech give her shots or squeeze blood out of her finger and collect it in a vile. What a trooper! Meanwhile, poor Charlie girl's nurse had a rough go at finding her vein for blood work, so much so Phil left in frustration. It was daddy's day, so Morgen wasn't there, figures right... let's be honest, nobody can compete with the comfort of a mama llama, or at least that's what we tell ourselves. Morgen and Trisha talk through vitamins, bloodwork, vaccines, car seats, weight & height, sleep... oh and MOLARS. Oh, and wait until you hear a small paragraph of Charlie's 2463 page doctors report... kidding, but talk about THOROUGH! It's impressive. Thank you as always for subscribing, rating, and sharing us with your friends and families. All you listeners out there, you're rockstars!!
What would having a baby be like if you didn't run through all the old wives' tales to predict the sex of the baby? Kind of boring, haha! Morgen and Trisha have some fun with Morgen's looming due date, as they rattle off all the usual, and not so usual, methods people use to guess whether you'll be having a boy or a girl. Probably the most popular is how a mother is carrying, is it all belly? Probably a boy. Carrying low and wide, most likely a girl. Have any cravings? Is one breast bigger than the other? How about your heart rate? Yup, all those things can apparently help people in predicting the sex of a baby. Let's get to the obscure though. Get a cup ready because there are many old wives' tales involving mama's urine. Yep, you heard us, urine. Add baking soda or red cabbage water... that's right, boil red cabbage and save that water to mix into your pee. Listen in to hear what the results mean, whether it's a boy or a girl. Happy predicting, and send us any fun ways of predicting the sex of the baby so we can try them out on Morgen's expanding belly! Momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com
Morgen and Trisha deep dive into the products they loved and feel were must-haves on their baby registries. We're talking big-ticket items down to the little items we couldn't live without.
Morgen was one of those mama's testing everything out in the store, and Trisha got lucky with trusted hand me downs, so she just needed to fill in the gaps.
Two of Trisha's favorite items were her Hussh infant hanging crib and her Earth Mama diaper balm. Morgen swoops in with some products you might not think of, like poop bags for those blow out days and the SoCozy shampoo and conditioner for the little's with the curliest of hair.
Morgen swears by Dreft stain remover while Trisha's go-to is Oxyclean, but they both would agree that having something on hand to get out those tough stains is a must-have!
This is a must-have episode, whether you're expecting or know anyone with a babe on the way. What is that one item you would suggest to parents of newborns? Please share your ideas with Morgen and Trisha at monjeansandminivans@yahoo.com as Morgen is epxecting her 2nd babe in March.
...Until next time.

What are the holidays looking like for you and yours while Covid is still such a threat?
Morgen and Trisha discuss what the holidays are looking like for them. Large gatherings don’t seem to be something they both will be doing; however, Trisha and her family plan to meet with her two sisters, their immediate families, and their parents to spend a week at a rental house together. Quarantining and Covid tests will be taken before going... but this might become a new annual tradition.
Speaking of traditions, Morgen is debating about having her annual holiday party, and she is sadly leaning towards not having it. She’s making up for it by ramping up the holiday traditions, one of which is pajamas arriving from Mrs. Clause before Christmas... pretty sure Trisha is going to steal that idea.
It seems virtual parties will be the new rave, and more drive-through Christmas light shows are popping up everywhere. Wonder what new and creative ideas people will be coming up with to celebrate the holidays and the new year?
Please do share your holiday plans and traditions with Morgen & Trisha at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Cheers!
Ahhh, potty training!! Yup, Morgen, and Trisha are entering the potty training stage with Charlie & Remi. In this episode, they discuss the signs the girls have been showing and the ones to look for, including their potty training plans of attack.
Is your child scurrying off to a corner for privacy when they're hit with the poos? Or maybe they are letting you know when they have to go to the bathroom and telling you their diapers are "full." All signs that your child may be ready to potty train.
Morgen takes the Montessori route, going straight from diapers to underwear, making sure her environment is prepared and letting Charlie guide the process. Trisha is planning to take a slower approach with pull-ups before she dives in, and she admittedly doesn't feel quite ready to begin the whole process. Anyone else?!?
Prepare for success, and you're already one step ahead. The ladies talk about setting up their bathrooms with all the appropriate items. Are you trying to avoid doing it during transitions like starting school, moving, or major routine changes? Figure out your plan and let the adventure begin.
Just went through the process? Going through it now? Have an amazing or horrible approach worth sharing? Whatever it is, Morgen and Trisha want to hear it all, so please do share at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.

Today Morgen and Trisha are joined by Victoria, mom of 2 to Ronan (4), and Mia (2). This episode is all about expanding our families and supporting our first child's transition to becoming a big sister or brother.
Listen in as they discuss different ways to help involve their first borns and navigate the new family dynamic. Whether it is a 20 month old or a 14-year-old, there are many ways to help get them acclimated to the changes. Consistency and routine are huge, especially with the younger ones. Victoria shares how she found pockets of time for both children and communicating about what is happening is always at the top of Morgen and Trisha's list.
Victoria offers some great insight into what worked and didn't work for her, along with the cutest stories of the new siblings bonding early on. Trisha explains what it was like with Jack and Remi having a 14-year gap between them, while Morgen shares the ideas she has come across in her readings and tirelessly takes notes for baby #2's arrival.

The colder weather is approaching, so Morgen and Trisha are planning arts and crafts activities to entertain Charlie and Remi with (fingers crossed).
This is such a fun episode, as Morgen and Trisha love being in their creative element and getting the juices flowing with all the things they can do with the girls. Controlled painting and do it yourself stencils are some ideas they plan on ding with Remi and Charlie. Dot paint and sponge brushes make it all that much more fun too.
Any brave mama's and papa's listening in? Get those toddler scissors ready and start cutting some paper strips. Nervous about your little one trimming their hair with the scissors, Morgen suggests the perfect scissors for you.
Getting outdoors is a must on Trisha's list, so while it's still nice out, it's a perfect opportunity to go on a nature scavenger hunt and collect fallen leaves, acorns, and dried up flowers for a nature collage.
These are a few of the ideas thrown out there in this episode. Get your note pad ready because there are sure to be ideas that you can jot down and start to prep for those rainy and snowy days ahead. And please do share your ideas with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com!
The girls are nearly two and are in an unconscious absorbent stage for language. This also means that this is the perfect time to introduce and practice a second language, even if your pronunciation is as rudimentary as the French Morgen speaks to Charlie with. Toddlers are taking everything in, and eventually, all they have learned will come pouring out of them, which means there has been a word explosion in Morgen and Trisha's homes. The ladies of the show are checking in to see where the girls are with their language development.
Morgen shares how she works with her toddler students on language in the classroom and Trisha discusses what she does at home to practice and engage Remi in speech. Morgen surprised Trisha with some unconventional activities that are actually beneficial to speech. This episode is chock full of ideas, activities, and info. So switch on those absorbent ears like your toddlers and listen in.

What a difference this 2nd birthday celebration will be for Charlie and Remi compared to their 1st birthdays. Not only did Morgen and Trisha want to tone it down for year two since they went big on the 1st birthday celebrations, but Covid has played a major role in their planning.
This time of year is the time to take advantage of the fall festivities and weather that the Northeast is known for. Both Morgen and Trisha have decided on small outdoor gatherings at their local orchards/farms. It's safer outdoors with the pandemic, plus there are a lot of activities and entertainment for the girls, and it is the most seasonally festive thing they could think of to do.
Despite this being a Lil' Mamasode, the momfessions are must hear. Think twice when you hear what you think is an acorn hitting the roof of your car, and honestly, what lengths will a mama go for her morning brew? 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks for tuning in!
This week’s description has to start with the most obvious thing you will take away from this episode: Women are freaking rock stars!!!
Stacey joins Morgen & Trisha in this week’s episode as they discuss all things related to infertilty. We’re talking timed intercourse, IUI, and IVF. Hear Morgen and Stacey’s journey through the world of infertility and all that it encompasses.
It is one thing for a woman to go through the testing, probing, scraping, and pricking of fertility but couple that with the emotional toll of it all and you’ve got to be one tough mama.
Listen in as the women touch on some very sensitive and deeply personal aspects of their journey like miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, life-threatening medical conditions, and more.
For the women who have struggled with infertility, the women who are in the process, and the women who may have to in the future... this is more common than you think, and you’re not alone.
RESOLVE is the National infertility Association and is a wonderful resource for those who find themselves needing fertility support (link below).
To end this on a bright note. The pain, suffering, and heartache that Stacey and Morgen endured have happy endings, and both are currently expecting. YAAAAY!

Ahhh, transitions. Life is full of them, and Morgen and Trisha are finding themselves in a pretty big one now. Charlie and Remi are transitioning from routines they’ve been in since they were born. Remi has her first overnight away from Mama, Papa, and home (spoiler alert: no tears and no issues whatsoever), and Charlie started preschool. Charlie’s transition into school was a little tougher for her but listen in on some things that Morgen did to ease the separation anxiety. Speaking of separation anxiety, who’s it harder for the parent or child?
Communication is one of the most important aspects of a healthy relationship, no matter what the relationship is. Morgen and Trisha have found that talking with Charlie and Remi during transition times has greatly helped with their anxiety about us leaving. Trisha will ease Remi’s nighttime anxiety by letting her know some fun things planned the next day but then proceeds to tell her that first, she needs sleep, so she has the strength and energy to do all of those things. When Morgen drops Charlie off at school, she always makes sure she says goodbye and lets Charlie know that she’ll see her later, no matter how difficult a time Charlie and/or Morgen are having with the separation.
If you’re finding yourself in a transition, well, you’re clearly not alone, and hopefully, this episode helps. You can share your experience on how you managed your own transition at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. We’d love to hear from you.
Until next time... have a great week!
There are so many benefits to kids cooking in the kitchen. It is great for bonding, it creates independence, and it works on their fine motor skills, to name a few.
Morgen and Trisha share their ideas on how to get their almost 2-year-olds more involved in kitchen and cooking tasks. Let's just say it started with a lot of trial and error. We all know baking is a science, so when Remi slapped the pile of flour that her and Trisha had just added to the bowl and it went everywhere, or when she tried to eat the raw egg, that's when Trisha discovered that baking might not be the best route yet and perhaps she'd stick to less messy tasks.
Morgen started with Charlie adding cut potatoes to an empty pot, and she pridefully watched as Charlie learned to shell edamame. Then she got real brave and ordered a set of nylon junior knives (link below) for Charlie.
Morgen and Trisha have some new and exciting tasks they're going to try with the girls like peeling a hard-boiled egg or a clementine, spreading butter or jam onto toast, and tearing up lettuce for a salad. They're chock full of ideas, so listen in as they laugh and share the things that have worked and the things that haven't, inspiring them to challenge the girls to some new cooking in the kitchen activities.

For every mama, parent, and caregiver out there, back to school during, a pandemic is new for us all. Whether it is virtual or hybrid, there are adjustments and transitions for every child, student, teacher, and parent. Some have been in school for years, while others are starting preschool. Either way, it seems we all have to get used to the new 'Covid-norm.'
Morgen and Trisha discuss the precautions that their high school and preschool take with Covid, yet very much a health risk and emotional decision for all.
Temperature checks, masks, social distancing, and hand washing are all musts but listen in on some of the additional ways schools are doing their part to be extra cautious and preventative.
This is a very informative and interesting episode. You'll definitely not want to miss Morgen's checklist at the end, as it has made all the difference for Trisha while she seeks out a daycare for Remi.
Good luck to all this school year. We wish you and your families health and comfort as the world embarks on this new 'Covid-norm.' As always, please share your stories with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.

Morgen and Trisha felt that both Charlie and Remi were long over-do for a play space revamp. Morgen’s Montessori teaching played a big part in them feeling the urge to give the girl’s a new, uncluttered space with updated toys and activities. Since the revamps, Morgen and Trisha have noticed better concentration, focus, and time playing independently.
While both Trisha and Morgen wanted to make sure the girl’s rooms focused on developing fine motor and gross motor skills, Trisha went on more of a purchasing spree, while Morgen had a full-on arts and crafts session using materials she had in the home. We are talking about a fruits and vegetable cutting playset and the bravery of using popcorn kernels as a transfer work station. Transfer, as in spoon to bowl, bowl to bowl, or bowl to the floor. Keep your vacuum handy (ps. another fun tool for them to use and learn with)!

Morgen and Trisha are finding themselves in a state of toddlerhood exhaustion, as they call it. Charlie and Remi are nonstop, and although this episode is about discipline, they realize it's more about communication.
As the girls grow and develop more, Morgen and Trisha are discovering that how they communicate with Charlie and Remi can make all the difference. It takes a healthy dose of patience and practice, but it yields results that make everyone happy... usually. Haha!
Trisha has found it helpful to physically removing Remi from a situation when she is having a tantrum or meltdown. She gets down to her level to look her in the eyes, discusses what has happened and what Remi is feeling. It has helped a lot in stopping the tantrum or meltdown from escalating.
Morgen is excellent at allowing Charlie to express herself but is teaching Charlie how to navigate her negative feelings. Another thing Morgen is trying to avoid is using 'No' and 'don't' and rewording what she would like Charlie to do with a more precise and positive spin. For example, "Charlie, don't spit your water" to "Charlie, water is for drinking, please keep it in your mouth." Now don't get the wrong idea, 'no' and 'don't' has by no means been eliminated from their vocabulary. Reminder: we are dealing with toddlers here!
Morgen and Trisha agree that at the heart of it all, repetition and consistency are essential... hence the exhaustion. They also feel that giving the girls choices allows them to feel empowered and involved in the process. They can exercise their newfound independence and have a sense of pride once they have chosen and accomplished particular tasks.
On a real note, this has been a lot of trial and error. Morgen and Trisha are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, nor do they claim to know it all. This is just a way for them to share with one another what has worked, what hasn't worked, and what new approaches they are trying.
So to all the mama's, papa's and caregivers of toddlers out there, you're doing great! Please do share your tricks, tips, and stories with us because we value your life experiences and learnings along the way! Thanks! Five Reasons to Stop Saying "Good Job!" (**) - Alfie Kohn
How did you spend your summer? Morgen and Trisha share their summer away from the mic and the creative things they did with Covid still lurking around. With the exception of many home activities, they spent a lot of time outdoors either on their bikes, hiking, or parks. Oh, and splashing around in their new blow-up pools, of course! And since it's the halfway mark of the year and then some, Morgen and Trish check in on their New Years' intentions. How are they doing on them and has Covid played a role in whether they can work towards them? We'll give you a hint, Morgen not only has a surprise announcement (wink, wink) but she is killing it at her intentions... this mama needs an award for all she's done in the past 7-8 months. Thanks again for listening in and subscribing! Please reach out anytime, as Morgen and Trisha love hearing from their listeners: momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com
Morgen and Trisha welcome Lindsey, Morgen’s niece, and Melinda, Trisha’s step-son’s mom, to share their blended family stories. We’re talking ex-sister-in-laws as best friends and ex’s living across the street from one another. Yup, those kinds of blended families. Haha, the ones where people can’t understand how everyone gets along but also gets together for holidays and special occasions.
As different and unique as their stories are, one thing they are all lucky enough to have had are amicable, uncontested divorces, and separations. That doesn’t take away from each of their struggles with getting remarried and the different people, emotions, feelings, and family dynamics that need to be dealt with and navigated throughout the process. Their situations are rare, and they speak about how grateful they are to fall on this end of the spectrum of divorce and separation, opposed to the ugliness that can come from it.
Lindsey, Trisha, and Melinda can all agree that communication is a major key to the amicable blending of families. However, the biggest factor is putting the child or children’s needs ahead of all else and always trying to see the bigger picture when times get rough.
Morgen comes in hot with the questions all outsiders wonder about, like how the mom’s did having to give up a portion of their time and holidays with their children, or how it felt to meet your ex’s significant other for the first time. You could always break the ice by accidentally friending your significant other’s ex on Facebook as Trisha did with Melinda. Whoops!
Thanks for listening in and please share your stories with us, we love hearing from you. Until next time... ciao!
This episode is all about Morgen and Trisha's experiences with (and without) weaning Charlie & Remi from breastfeeding.
So many things factor in. IVF, trying to grow the family, age, lifestyle... whatever the reason they touch on most of them.
Morgen was blindsided when told by her doctor that she'd have to stop breastfeeding if she was going to start IVF. It was something she wasn't anticipating emotionally or physically. Still, her story is one of triumph and success, and this mama is sure to be relatable to so many other mamas out there.
Trisha's story is quite different. She hasn't fully weaned Remi, knowing that Remi is her one and only. She's not ready to say goodbye to breastfeeding altogether. Right now, her focus is reducing the number of nursing sessions she has with Remi, and having a consistent nursing schedule will be the key to her eventual weaning success, or at least she hopes!
Morgen and Trisha discuss the different challenges they encounter weaning a 13-month-old compared to a 22-month-old, and let's just say "NO" is spoken and understood a lot more at one age than another. Morgen's got the weaning tips and tricks that worked for Charlie, and dare we say that self-weaning is a total possibility?!
Listen in to hear their stories, and please share yours with us. Thanks, and if you're facing the weaning stage, we wish you, your heart, your littles, and your breasts the best of luck!

Mom Jeans and Minivans are so happy to be back from summer break, but unfortunately, they have to kick it off with a heavy topic. With the recent death of George Floyd and the protests around racial inequality, Morgen and Trisha thought this was too important not to discuss.
It wasn’t easy, but both of them needed to get uncomfortable and think about this issue on a deeper and more personal level. Knowing that they want Charlie and Remi to grow up understanding what racism and white privilege means in our country meant they needed to educate themselves first.
Racism starts young in children, as early as 2-3 years old, so Morgen and Trisha delve into ways they can start teaching the girls about diversity, race, culture, kindness, and empathy.
Check out their links below, and if you’re struggling with this topic, hopefully, this episode offers some insight into how your fellow mamas are tackling it in their homes.

Have you thought about how COVID will affect you, and what might change once it's all over?
Morgen and Trisha have been thinking about it a lot lately as states start to move through the reopening phases. They both feel pretty split down the middle on the things they have enjoyed and want to remain after the pandemic ends, and the things they miss and can't wait to get back to in the "new normal".
Hands down, trying to maintain a healthy work to home life balance is on the top of both their lists for things that can stay. Who's for a four day work week, or an optional work from home day once a week? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏾♀️Yes, please! In general, being more mindful is something they'd also like to continue. Whether it's how much money they're spending, or continuing to be creative with leftovers to avoid food wastage.
Hmmm, what won't they miss?! Smelling their breath under those masks for starters. Haha... Anyone else?
Something both Morgen and Trisha can't wait to get back to is getting out to restaurants and exploring new towns and areas, whether local or far away will be a nice change from the past three months.
All in all, it's definitely food for thought (ha, pun intended). Morgen and Trisha have found in simply discussing what they want in the "new normal", they are a little more cognizant of the things they'd like to work towards as the pandemic lifts.
We will be back after the Summer break in August. Make sure you subscribe to our show, so you don't miss the first episode when we return. Stay safe and healthy, and happy summer, everyone!

Morgen and Trisha made a break from quarantine and decided a visit was in order. After quarantining themselves for 14 days, they made it happen, and it felt so good! It was great for the girls to have a playdate, but if they are keeping it 100, it was the adults who may have needed it even more.
Charlie and Remi are in a prime developmental stage, and the lack of interaction with anyone outside their immediate families throughout COVID was becoming a concern. The visit proved that social interaction with children their own age was beyond necessary. It also left Morgen and Trisha wondering how we all can find ways to remain connected even when forced to stay apart?
Can you say meltdown central? The meltdowns and tantrums surrounding sharing wasn't something Morgen and Trisha were anticipating on their visit. The beginning was rough (yes please to Margaritas) and kind of comical too. Little by little, the girls improved and started sharing and being considerate of one another. These moments may have been brief, but it was still exciting to see.
Listen in as the ladies dish on ways to help your littles adjust to the lack of socialization as we all remain in COVID lockdown. Hopefully, some of their ideas help you get through COVID with your sanity intact.
In this Lil' Mama-sode, Morgen and Trisha delve into the "stay-at-home-mom" stigma. Are you, or have you been, a stay at home mom that has felt overlooked, or that your role is not valued as much because you're not a "working" mom?
Perhaps it is the emphasis on the 'working' mentality in the U.S. and the labels associated with the work that you do, that people don't always know how to respond to the job of "stay-at-home-mom". Well, Morgen and Trisha are here to tell you that being a "stay-at-home-mom" is not only one of the most important jobs someone could have, it is also one of the most challenging yet most satisfying roles.
To be clear, "stay-at-home-moms" are so much more than just moms! So sure, ask about the kiddos, but ask how the moms are too! You might be surprised to learn they have so much more going on in their lives than you realized.
So whether you're multitasking as a "working' mom" or a "stay-at-home-mom", keep on momming and being awesome!
Morgen and Trisha's labor and delivery stories are finally being shared, and self-proclaimed Queen Mother, Tara, joins them.
All three ladies had entirely different experiences. Morgen had a 39 week scheduled C-section due to previous medical conditions. Tara blissfully had hoped for a natural birth. She ended up with anything but that, while Trisha channeled her inner warrior and managed a natural delivery at 42 weeks, enduring 40 hours of labor. Let's just say this episode isn't for the faint of heart as Morgen, Trisha, and Tara don't hold back.
The ladies dish on it all. From the births themselves, to what they packed in their diaper bags, birth plans, and how they went about choosing where they would deliver. These ladies get it, having a baby, especially for the first time is a lot. There are so many moving pieces, not to mention the things most people forget to tell you about giving birth. Hopefully, Morgen, Trisha, and Tara sharing their stories and what they learned or wished they had known, helps all future mamas be as prepared as they can be.
Women are warriors, and having a baby enforces that women can do anything! Keep on rockin' on all you amazing mama's out there. We would love to hear your labor and delivery stories. You can share them with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com. Congrats to you!

Are you like Morgen and Trisha, and thought the days of sleep training were behind you? Ahhh, you are not alone. WE FEEL YOUR PAIN!
Charlie had turned 12 months, and Remi turned 18 months, and suddenly their sleep patterns started to change. Yup, it can pretty much happen at either or both ages, or none if you're super lucky.
Morgen and Trisha navigate these tricky times. They have learned a lot about sleep regression. Don't think it was an easy road getting there, though. It not only involved re-sleep training the girls, but Morgen and Trisha found themselves having to re-train themselves as well. This is an age where children can understand and comprehend so much more, which makes the training and teaching new and challenging.
See some new teeth sprouting? Yup, molars are starting to come in around this time, and teething can be a significant culprit in the sleep regression department. Are you feeling like you've got a koala bear clinging on to you lately? Mmm hmm, separation anxiety peaks at this age as children start to feel bigger emotions, like the fear of being away from their parents or caregivers. It is all normal at this age. Couple it with the rapid growth and brain development, and everything becomes new again for the babes, and us!
Morgen and Trisha remind themselves, and one another, that patience and flexibility are essential in these pivotal situations. So if you find yourself having 'A mom of a day' (Morgen's new coined term), know that you're not alone, and this will soon all be a distant memory.
Hang in there and happy Zzzz'ing!
Join Morgen and Trisha for another Lil' Mama-sode, where they blinked, and the girls turned 18 months. The ladies go through their 18-month checklist and milestones. They share where Charlie and Remi are at (or aren't at 🤷🏻♀️) in four significant areas of development: Social/emotional, language/communication, cognitive/learning/problem solving, and physical development.
Is your child hurling their toys at you? Good news! Check it off the 18-month checklist for "handing objects off as play." Tempor tantrums anyone? Check! Deep breathes mommas and papas as we all navigate the big emotions 18-month olds feel, which is entirely in line with this age. Trisha is relishing in the extra snuggles she is receiving, while Remi shies away from strangers, which is also a big ol' check off the list.
Morgen and Trisha have their list of things to work on over the next six months, but it was nice to check in and see just how far their girls have come and to know other parents are being tested on their levels of patience while the milestones are reached. Pat yourselves on the back. You're doing amazing, and so are your babes!

Are you going into labor during Covid-19 or know someone who is? Kacie, Trisha's older sister, joins Morgen and Trisha to share her birth story during Covid-19 and gives insight on some things to expect.
Seeing the silver lining in every scenario is possible, and being quarantined with her four-week-old baby has turned out to be the most intimate and memorable time Kacie could have ever imagined for herself and baby Hudson.
Are you wondering what to expect for your doctor's appointments and at the hospital? Want to know what precautions are being taken to protect yourself and your baby? What about professional newborn pictures? Kacie talks about it all.
As with all new moms, nipples and vaginas are everyday conversation and can't be dropped enough in our discussion with Kacie. Kacie has a funny momfession involving her dad. Listen in and hear some fresh new momfessions from Morgen and Trisha as well.
To all those mamas out there giving birth during Covid-19, you've got this, and stay strong! Mom Jeans and Minivans wish you all continued health and safety during Covid-19.

Food, food, food! Let’s face it, we all love eating it, but this coronavirus has most people searching for easy, yet tasty recipes. Morgen and Trisha have ideas that are sure to satisfy the whole family, from babies to adults.
Their go-to during Covid-19 ideas are the ones where there is a simple base that can have interchangeable ingredients added to appease everyone’s taste buds. We’re talking fried rice, breakfast egg muffins, and new creative pizza toppings. So fun!
The ladies discuss their one-pot dishes, make-ahead marinades, and new cocktails that sound simply delish. Let’s not forget the pie dishes either. Pot pies and shepherds pies that can be made and eaten right away, but can also be frozen for the nights when the motivation to cook isn’t there. Morgen always declares she is Italian when it is time to cook in big batches and freeze for future nights. Listen in to hear her freezer stash ideas, assuming you have the room in your freezer or are lucky enough to have a backup freezer in the house.
Try to listen when you’re not hungry because this episode will be sure to have your mouth watering. The hope is this episode will spark some ideas and creativity in the kitchen for your coronavirus meal solutions. Feel free to share your recipes with Morgen and Trisha at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com because if there is anything these two know how to talk about, it is food! Don't see a recipe they discussed, feel free to email them and they will happily share. Enjoy and bon appetite!

Morgen and Trisha are joined by Christina to discuss positive self-image, what that means, and how they want to be examples for their girls.
Christina and her husband, Scot, have two teenage daughters, so they are right in the thick of it. Christina is such a positive influence in her girls' lives, and she explains how she has an open-door policy with them, being completely candid, truthful, and honest about all things. We mention Scot because fathers are often the most influential when it comes to body image and confidence in females, so listen up fellas!
Positive self-image starts when kids are young! The ladies try their best to react to their toddlers the way they'd want someone to respond to them (pfff, easier said than done, or as Morgen states, "it all depends on the time of day,").
The ladies consider all aspects of self-image. Why people enjoy drugs and become addicted, and when it comes to body image, it's not about how you look as much as it is about how you feel. Girls these days aren't just feeling the pressures of body image; they also are faced with the pressures of success both in their careers and financially. Christina shares how she navigates this road with her own teenagers.
Don't miss the end where Trisha delivers a very real momfession, Morgen comes out with a dadfession, and Christina shares a secretfession.

Welcome to Mom Jeans and Minivan's first Lil' Mama-sode! A shortened episode still packed with goodness.
This shorty but goody is all about how Morgen and Trisha find daily moments of sanity while they're raising their 1-year-olds. We know, we know, you're thinking, "moments of sanity, ppfffff like that exists." It is far and few between, but when it does happen, it is glorious! Ever catch a morning when the babe has slept later than usual, and you can enjoy your first cup of coffee in silence as the birds chirp outside, and the sun is rising in the sky? Time seems to stand still in those moments, right!?! How about foregoing sleep at night to binge-watch a show on tv? Perhaps not the best decision, but it sure feels good in the moment.
Morgen and Trisha take a couple of deep breaths in this episode just thinking about these rare moments of bliss and hope you take one too. If Charlie were around, she'd mimic you, so maybe take two and see how you do!

Trisha says that she’s never wanted to be the best version of herself more than she does now that she is a mom, and we have a feeling most moms out there feel the same. This week Morgen & Trisha pay homage to the women (and men) in their lives that have been instrumental to them with the way they choose to raise Charlie and Remi.
Some parents seamlessly pick up their lives right where they left off before they had kids. Camping in Iceland with a toddler, sure why not? Road trip with three kiddos, no problem. The ladies of the show are watching these parents make it happen, and are taking notes so they can sprinkle a little more of it in their lives.
Then you have the moms out there who seem to have endless patience and are so calm under pressure and stress. But How? No seriously, how do some moms go with the flow so well? Then there are the moms who have older children, and the ladies are in awe of the relationship they have created and the kiddos they have raised. One glass of whatever you are doing, please! You know what, you better make it a double. The most influential, however, have been Trisha and Morgen’s own moms, and they discuss just how instrumental they have been with raising Remi and Charlie.
Although Morgen’s hormones got the best of her in this show, that is what our show and life is all about. Keeping it real, staying humble, and being unabashedly true to ourselves. Listen in and feel inspired along with us, and maybe shed a tear or two along with Morgen.
All of us here at Mom Jeans and Minivans hope everyone out there is healthy and safe in this uncertain time of the Coronavirus pandemic. This week's episode was already recorded when the Coronavirus struck. An excerpt was added on the Coronavirus at the beginning of this episode as it related to this week's topic on wintertime preventions. We did some research on our own and noticed there was a lot of false information out there about the Coronavirus, so we wanted to provide you with some facts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Know the symptoms, when to seek medical attention, and how to differentiate between the common cold and the virus.
This episode is chock full of information on fighting back against the common cold and flu and is on the list of Morgen & Trisha’s most favorite episodes. The ladies do their best to provide the girls with balanced meals, leaning heavily in the fruit and veggie categories. And now that Charlie & Remi are a bit older (cue tears streaming down the cheek at the mention of them getting older), the supplements they are given has changed, which is discussed.
There is no avoiding the common cold, so when it does strike at home Morgen & Trisha have some useful remedies you’ll want to take note of. Let’s just say that homemade chicken noodle soup might be the hidden cure for the common cold, seriously! It’s a must-try. Did you know there is an essential oil you can add to a humidifier that helps with congestion? Listen in to find out what it is. Local honey! Trisha is a huge believer in the healing effects and speaks on how it has been a game-changer in her home. Ever hear of Oogiebear? Neither had Morgen & Trisha until Trisha’s sister had her baby shower and received it as a gift. You’re not going to want to miss this episode, especially with the momfessions talking about some of their most unsanitary mom fails.

Have you ever been caught in a sharent trap? You know, where you share too much of your kiddos on social media! Knowing if, or when, to post pictures of your children is not always an easy decision. Especially when your child is the cutest kiddo in the whole world, and you want everyone to see. There are so many circumstances to think about, especially safety and privacy. Where do you draw the line and what kind of precautions do you take? Morgen and Trisha discuss the different ways they approach social media and how they strive to find a balance when they share information. They also discuss social media alternatives for sharing pictures and videos of the girls. Oddly enough, sharing stories about Charlie and Remi on the podcast feels the safest and the most comfortable for them both, so thanks for being such great listeners and supporters! And if you have any tips or tricks for how you share pictures, Morgen and Trisha would love to hear them.
You knew it would happen once you became a parent. Friendships have changed with having kids. This week's episode is all about these friendships. Parenting styles, discipline, and hygiene can all can play a part in whether a bond soars or fizzles. Morgen and Trisha discuss their opinions on screentime in restaurants, on friends and family who have stepped up and surprised them once the babes came along, and on the struggles to not judge other parents. Have you encountered your own friendships that have blossomed or wilted once you had kids? Share your story with us at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Pediatrician visits brought on new developmental milestones that Remi & Charlie should be reaching, and the ladies discuss the one question that got into their heads from their visits.
Are you worried about how many words your child is saying? It’s hard not to compare your child to others, especially when it comes to their development, but Morgen and Trisha try to keep two major things in mind. First, each child develops at their own pace. Secondly, to pay attention to their overall progress because that is more important than the specifics. Baby steps people, baby steps!
Listen in as Morgen & Trisha go through their language development checklist (and Morgen tries out her British accent, apologies ahead of time to the Brit’s listening in) and decide for yourself where you could improve and where you are excelling!
Links: Helping toddlers expand their language skills article: http://www.childmind.org/article/helping-toddlers-expand-their-language-skills/ Language development of 1-2-year-olds article: https://raisingchildren.net.au/toddlers/development/language-development/language-1-2-years
Morgen and Trisha welcome Jessica, Trisha's identical twin sister, to the show as they discuss why being a mom or really any caregiver, whether it's a father, a stepparent, a grandparent, or an aunt makes them well-rounded individuals.
It wasn't until the ladies became moms that they realized their capacity for love, which also has given them a greater sense of empathy, patience, and compassion in their daily lives. They've become better at time management, improved their health, and have found ways to create boundaries and balance.
The bottom line is being a mom is rewarding, but it comes with its fair share of challenges. If you're anything like Morgen, Trisha, or Jessica, then you sometimes find yourself focusing too much on the things you feel you're not doing well. Today is all about taking a step back and acknowledging all that you are and all that you do, no matter who you are or what role you play. So cheers to killing it, and being a more well-rounded individual!

This may be their sweetest episode yet. Morgen and Trisha talk about all the things they are going to miss about their girls at this age, as they quickly transition into toddlerhood. Reflecting on their memories with Charlie and Remi got them thinking about their lives since the girls were born, and their emotions got the best of them. Yup, spoiler alert, it the first episode where they both get a little choked up. The ladies are so grateful to be moms and so thankful for their little's. As much as the girls are learning from them, they have a lot to learn from the girls. They're so carefree and happy (most of the time). They're curious, adventurous, and inquisitive. There is pure joy in their smiles and laughs, which has a way of stopping the moms' in their tracks and wanting to join in. Whether you're a mama or a papa or a soon-to-be, Morgen and Trisha would love to hear your thoughts and what you will miss or have missed with your kiddos. Share your memories with them at momjeansandminivans@yahoo.com.
Let’s be honest, us moms are always on the go so any daily tips, tricks, or timesavers can make all the difference. Listen in as we share what we do or have learned along the way. Perhaps not intentional, but reducing diaper changes saves time, money, and is better for the environment. Although we are pretty sure it knocks us down a level on the best mom rating scale. Worth it?!
Sometimes it’s as simple as the bibs we use or breaking food up with our fingers versus using a knife and fork. Fun fact, frozen fruits, and veggies are actually fresher than buying from the produce section, and they last longer so stock up mamas (papas and caretakers).
Teaching moments can also save a lot of time, and they’re learning in the process too, so get them brushing their teeth/hair, cleaning up after themselves and eating with a fork/spoon and save yourself some time.
We’ve got dozens more in store, so listen in and let us know some of yours as well. Oh, and the momfessions are fun and definitely relatable. Sometimes hugs are the cure for everything.

"Would You Rather" Momma's Edition 2020 coming at ya! Poop, puke, and more poop, caffeine vs. alcohol, sexy time exhaustion vs. sleepless baby exhaustion, nursing with cut nipples vs. hair being pulled, and countless more questions with endless giggles.
Did you know Morgen can't stand the texture of bananas, and Trisha is all business when it comes to poo? Laundry becomes a hot topic because let's face it; kids equal loads of laundry. You're only pregnant for the 1st time once! Today we have Alysha with us, who is 26 weeks pregnant with her first child. This episode is all about preggo firsts. Listen in as Aysha shares what her perfect pregnancy, labor, and delivery plan are, while Trisha and Morgen chime in on the things they remembered from their pregnancies, 15+ months ago! Weight gain, fatigue, morning sickness, and how the mere smell of food could get you running to the toilet. They discuss the pros and cons of maternity clothing in Winter vs. Summer. They cover it all. The ladies share their "been there, done that" advice with Alysha, and if Morgen hadn't been balancing a crying Charlie during that point of the conversation, her advice most surely would have been meal prep before the baby gets here! Load up the freezer with breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to pull from the next three months after the baby arrives. Please share your birth plans and stories with us as well. The toddler tantrums are in full swing, and those personalities are truly shining through. Charlie's got a fiery side, and Remi has a case of FOMO keeping her from napping.
The taste buds are changing, and it is a daily challenge to get them to eat a balanced meal without flicking food from their mouths or deciding the food you gave them is too big, too small, too soft, too hard. Ever feel like you're a servant serving a Queen? Morgen and Trisha do!
Do you feel like you are saying "No" on repeat? Or wonder when, if ever your child will learn how to share, stop whining, and where they learned to bite like that? Morgen and Trisha do! And then, as if by magic, they get a mom win, and everything else seems to melt away. Stay tuned for their momsessions. They really kick off the New Year with some good ones!

2020 is right around the corner, and this year Morgen and Trisha have decided to throw 'resolutions' out the window and instead set intentions for the year. This episode is all about speaking them into existence. They start big with their plans of getting into a better home and growing their families. Careers and finances always seem to be somewhere on the list to improve upon or figure out! Let's not forget the intangible. Morgen and Trisha want to work on forgiving themselves and being more present with Charlie and Remi, along with some fun ideas for the year. Speaking of Charlie and Remi, they sprinkle 'mom-gushes' in with their year of intentions, but can you blame them, they lucked out with these two?! What are your intentions for the year? We hope this episode gets the ball rolling and you put it out there for the universe to answer back! Cheers to 2020, and thank you for joining us in 2019!
Hooray, the holidays are here! As mama’s, Morgen and Trisha have found that traditions are important to them when it comes to the holidays. Taking traditions from their childhoods and creating new ones. Cutting down trees from a tree farm, baking family recipes, and Santa pics with inked in footprints in the shape of a heart are among some of the traditions they look forward to and made their own. As important as the traditions are, they both want to work on giving back and keeping the spirit and meaning of the holidays alive. Morgen and Trisha especially want to make sure they are instilling that in their girls, now that they are older and understand more. What kinds of traditions and giving back do you do with your family? Stay tuned for our end of the episode momfessions and get prepared for blowouts, heart-pounding scares, and one of the best onesie secrets to date! Happy holidays and thanks for listening in!

Add a baby and traveling becomes a whole new beast, especially on airplanes. How in the hell do you carry everything you need? How do liquids and breast milk work when flying? Did you know you can’t have your baby in a baby carrier during take-off or landing, not that it stopped us from trying? So many things to think about! Morgen and Trisha discuss what stressed them out the most when it comes to traveling with their sweet babes, and have some tricks they learned to make travel even easier the next go around.

Don’t underestimate the entertainment power of a recycled can with a lid, a balled-up dirty diaper, or long drapey curtains. Morgen and Trisha chat about the things that keep their 1-year-olds entertained, and believe it or not, the household items take the cake!
There are the tried and true games of Peek-A-Boo and “I’m going to get you,” along with several others that will do the trick too.

Mom guilt is weighing heavy on Morgen and Trisha this week. They’ve been struggling with juggling the many roles they play in their lives while also trying to navigate the newfound tantrums that have emerged in their little independent ladies. Are we doing enough for our kids? Are we providing enough stimulation and activities? The constant questioning of our parenting abilities can send us deep into the tunnel of mom guilt.
Breakdowns lead to breakthroughs, and us moms (dads, and really everyone), must take care of ourselves first! If we’re going to be who we need to be for ourselves, our children, spouse, family, employer/employee, and friends, we need to dedicate a certain amount of time to just us.
You are enough! So pick your head up, brush the mom guilt away and make time for you! Everyone will benefit from it.
It's official; our girls are a year old, and the parties are behind us.
Get ready to hear about the best modern-day thank you card and our entertaining smash cake experiences. Are you one to get carried away with the details? You're not alone, and Morgen has the balloon tying flesh wound to prove it. Kid zones are essential for these 1st birthdays, so create some penguin bowling or a ball pit area and watch the little ones go wild.
We both give a hell yes to our decision to cater at our home parties, but a big ol' thumbs down to the party 'no-shows'! This week's momfessions prove that mom brain could turn you into a kleptomaniac, and not being very tech-savvy could be a bigger problem than you bargained for.
Charlie and Remi's 1st birthday parties were much like their first year of life. There were highs and lows, but overall we couldn't have asked for a better time.
Charlie and Remi are turning 1, let the birthday party planning commence!
Although Morgen & Trisha want it to be special, they’re not going overboard. Both are navigating how to have a small, yet simple parties at their homes with family and close friends. They weigh the pros and cons of cooking versus catering, and both would agree that getting the house professionally cleaned is the way to go, even if you're embarrassed for the cleaners to see the state of your home!
The girl's birthday outfits are, without a doubt, one of the hottest topics. But let's talk smash cakes! Smash cakes are all the rave, and while Trisha plans on making a healthy version for Remi, Morgen recruited a high-school student who is the next Martha Stewart.
This week is all about food, party themes, headbands, penguin bowling, and tutus.

Today we share our stories about "the things people say". It ranges from outright appalling to some of the best advice that we've received... and everything in between. Our guest today is no stranger to being the recipient to some odd comments from strangers, as well as family. Melissa is a mom of 3 who's family thinks 1 boy isn't enough and she should try for more. Once you're pregnant, the parental advice comes rolling in. Buying wine pregnant? Be prepared for the presumptuous patron who tells you not to drink it. As a mother, you deal with your fair share of comments, but what if your child is approached? Listen in as we discuss the best advice we received before a C-section, and the best gift a new mom could use.

Morgen and Trisha are joined by their foodie mom friend Rebecca, who has her own two monsters and a day job. Listen in as we discuss when to start on solids, signs they’re ready, and how to tackle the overwhelming feeling that comes with starting the process. We pair wine and food for the Mama’s and herbs and foods for the babes.
Are you brave enough for baby-led weaning? Get your CPR training in because the choking hazard is real, and if you’re like us, you’ll have the joy of putting your skills into practice in public. Pizza crust anyone?
There is also the dreaded food allergies, signs to look for, and what to do. Think about a food face painting session, and if your baby does have a reaction to food, learn from us and take the food away!
We cover cooking kits, baby food delivery services, the struggle with unhealthy children’s menus at restaurants, and how to fix the mistake of liquefying your baby food purée... looks like they’re drinking their breakfast!
Laugh with us as we navigate the road of foods, and bring a bib, it’s going to get messy.

One of the most common things new moms talk about is labor and the struggle of breastfeeding. Morgen and Trisha went into breastfeeding with their eyes wide open, but no two babies, breasts, or nursing story is the same, and they still found some bumps in the road. Are you a leaker or a non-leaker? Do you have one good side that produces more milk or hurts less? How do you know if you're producing enough? Every topic is covered from how truly aligned you and your partner are on breastfeeding in public, the real deal with nursing a babe with freshly sprouted teeth, milk baths, to the healing effects of breastmilk, as well as inverted nipples, and the creative positions you will get into just to get some nipple relief. Oh, and we can't forget the post nursing fear of boob sag! No, thank you! Get ready for nipple shields, warming pads, nipple butter, and all the trials, tribulations, and wins they experienced with breastfeeding.

Sleep teaching, sleep training, or whatever you want to call it, can be so challenging, especially if you have kids like ours who didn't sleep through the night after a few months. Add to the mix, different parenting ideas (Cry It Out, Ferber Method) on how best to get your child to sleep, combined with your own lack of sleep, pumping in the middle of the night, and the transition from 3 naps to 2, equals a fun time. Good news, we have been there, and we got through the sleep hurdle, so will you.

One of the first and hardest decisions you make for your baby is their name. Morgen and Trisha discuss how they went about choosing their baby names. How did the names look abbreviated and on a resume? How popular is too popular for a name? Did you agree with your partner when picking a name? So much goes into this first decision, and they discuss it all.
Are you part of a real-life, modern-day family and wondering how having a baby will change your family dynamic? Are you struggling to talk about being ready for kids with your partner? Maybe medical issues have put your dreams of having a baby on hold temporarily? We can relate and put it all out there. Not to mention, how is it that 35 years old, is considered a geriatric pregnancy, say what?
Morgen and Trisha are 1st time new moms. Today they introduce themselves, share why they momcast, discuss when their mom-stincts kicked in (or not so much), and naturally talk about their sweet little babes. This intro episode kicks off with their first momfession. Come along each week as they document their mom journey, make you laugh, and maybe give you something that can simplify your mom-life.
