It has been since April 2023 that I dropped a new episode of Worldly Church Girl. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in my writing, drove into the art of flower arrangements, and made custom gemstone tumblers. And let me tell you, I’ve missed podcasting, but I wanted to do it a little differently. I will still have guests on my live shows, but I will drop mini episodes of just little ol’ me weekly. Jordan, tall and handsome with a silky-smooth voice, established himself as a powerful presence in music, brimming with talent, savvy, and charm. Origins:From South Central Los Angeles to Pepperdine University in Malibu, Montell was on course to attend law school when a professor said one of his biggest regrets was missing the chance to pursue music. Demetrius Daniels was born on October 8, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was raised in a family that deeply valued music, with his parents, Stanley Daniels and Juanita Hayes, being deeply rooted in gospel music. Demetrius, along with his two younger brothers, grew up attending Church of the First Born Saints, which was their family's home church.
Demetrius was a natural singer and joined his church's children's and adult choir, performing many solos.
During high school, Demetrius pursued his passion for music and became a member of a group called Dos of Soul, which later signed with Def Jam Records. The group's talent was showcased on the Nutty Professor soundtrack, where they were featured, and they also shot a music video and performed live on BET's Video Soul with Donnie Simpson.
He worked with gospel artist Rodney Bryant, Yet Unseen, Kelly Price, Corey Rooney, Prince Markie D (from the Fat Boys), Lyon Cohen, Max Sigel, and Russell Simmons due to his singing and writing skills.

Music has always been a part of CJ Warfield's life. His family consists of singers, musicians, producers, and songwriters. Pastor Lena L. Middleton has been married to Eric for over 23 years. They have two children, Erica (23, University of Cincinnati) and Lawrence (22, Tuskegee University). Lena earned her B.S. in Organizational Leadership and her M.A. in Applied Sociology. With a passion for higher education, Lena spent several years as a leader in collegiate Student Affairs and teaching as an adjunct faculty member for local Indiana colleges. She also spent several years matriculating through the Higher Education Administration Doctoral program before accepting God’s call to leave the formal education setting and serve in healthcare. As a result of that calling, Lena joined senior leadership ranks for a healthcare organization whose focus was caring for the senior citizens of Indianapolis. Lena led and was charged with launching multiple clinical sites in the Indianapolis region. The opportunities helped to shape Lena’s view on leadership. She was the first African American female to serve in senior leadership within the country-wide organization. Lena is a licensed and ordained minister who was called to plant and pastor New Spiritual Life Christian Church, where she is committed to preaching, teaching, and following the Great Commission. With a community focus, Lena has fostered partnerships with other local pastors in events such as the Christian Debutante Cotillion, Youth Bible Institute, Peace Walks, 12 for 2 Preaching Explosion, and more. She has recently served on non-profit boards such as College Mentor for Kids, National Student Services Association, and the Northeast Corridor Faith Based Consortium Chair. Lena continues to work passionately through ministry in New Spiritual Life. However, she and her husband Eric’s entrepreneurial efforts do not end with the church house. Jose GO YE Maldonado is an award-winning Christian artist. Born in NYC, he was always surrounded by music. His Father played in Latin Salsa bands. He grew up listening to salsa greats like, Tito Puentes and Fania All-Stars. Jose was a Hip Hop Breakdancer in the early '80s. A couple of his favorite hip-hop artists were Big Daddy and KRS One. In 1990, in Germany, he gave his life to Christ while serving in the U.S. Army. He remembered his love of hip-hop and began writing and doing gospel rap ministry in 2018. His first project (self-titled) Go Ye Mark 16:15 debuted in September of 2020. Since then, he has dropped over 10 singles and featured in over a dozen collaborations worldwide. Ariel Fitz-Patrick resides in Montreal, Canada, and has been known by her Canadian followers as one part of a duo known as the Fitz-Patrick Sisters. Ariel has been singing at a young age. Shayona Funches is a native of Marion, Indiana, and a proud graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where she received both her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees. She gained her Social Work experience while working in schools, nonprofits, and mental health agencies. Serving on boards and attending church has allowed her to be heavily involved in community development. “I can do that!” These were the words of a young girl as she watched elementary-school-aged boys freestyle on the playground. Little did the artist, now known as G.I.L, know that rapping would go far beyond a frivolous challenge. She began to develop not only a love for it but for poetry in general. G.I.L, pronounced “Jill,” was born in Plantation, Florida but raised in the small town of Statesboro, Georgia. She was a timid child who later found she could freely and unapologetically speak through the lyrics of poems and songs she wrote. Her single-parent mother made sure that G.I.L and her three siblings had a strong spiritual foundation. That being said, no matter where G.I.L may have found herself at in her life, she always made her way back to her roots in Christ. It was no coincidence that upon connecting with a then Christian Artist, now husband, her love for writing music resurfaced. I was born in the Bronx, New York, to Caribbean parents. I grew up since the age of 10 in northwest Baltimore, Maryland. My life has been anchored in the arts for many years. In my younger years, I started my writing journey with poetry. I used to keep Journals of rhythmic interpretations of life experiences. As I got older, I participated in many poetry slams throughout Baltimore back in the early 2000s. I also enjoy mixed media painting as well as photography. I currently have a photography business as well as a shooting space for portraiture. My decision to start writing books was inspired by our current social times. I wanted to create something that would fortify and inspire people. I wanted it to be something that would be easy to read yet meaningful. The book that I have out now is the first of many installments of periodicals that I want to share with the world. My current goal is to extend my artistic talents to the world and leave my footprint.

Every once in a while, an exceptional and incredible talent impacts the gospel music industry and leaves a lasting impression. Today, however, if you were to ask him, “how were you able to go through all that, at such a young age and still survive?” His reply simply would be, “when God is fighting for you, you can’t lose.” “People choose to be defeated; I choose to be UNDEFEATED with God on my side.” He further encourages his audience “to not only praise God during the battle but when the victory is won REJOICE.” Accordingly, He is living the life and singing the praises! Glanton was a child prodigy! At the age of 4, he taught himself how to play the drums, and he mastered the skill by the age of 9. Faithfully, he served as the church drummer until he was 22 years of age. His wonderment of music continued as he once again locked himself in a room and taught himself how to play the piano. Please hear him in his finest hour on his current dual release single projects “Rejoice” and “Undefeated.” These anointed releases offer a summary of Glanton’s life story set to music, which ends well! “Rejoice” features rhythmic agility and, of course, the all-powerful toe-tapping, hand-clapping, praised infused impact. Rocky Singh Kandola, is an 31-year-old successful Indian businessman born in New York City and living in Los Angeles. He owns and run a showroom in a high traffic area of downtown near LA Live. He is a felon as well as a Philosophy Graduate (both) from the state of Alabama. He spent his “high school” life in 9 different facilities and boot camps across the world, some of which are now closed due to severe child abuse, rape, and torture. He has almost died at least eight times. Half of his face and jaw are fake from an attempted murder on his life. He's been shot at, stabbed, kidnapped, and kicked in the face. He had over 20 major surgeries in his adult life. He's has been hurt, hurt, and seen hurt up close. He has also loved, have seen love, and been in love. He has amazing friends and family in almost every continent in the world. His business allows him to travel freely and meet these fantastic souls across our planet. He can speak four languages and hold a conversation with any man, woman, or child in the word. Terri Pilawa had a Double Lung Transplant Recipient. Diagnosed with NSIP Pulmonary Fibrosis. Her journey began when she married her husband August of 2009; she was short of breath. She was a professional working in accounting management; she went to the gym and was very active living her life with her new husband and teenage son. One day, she couldn't work anymore and was on oxygen 24/7, her life was being taken over by this disease, that takes your breath away. She was told that there's no cure for this disease, that she would need a lifesaving organ transplant to survive. She would have never thought that she would need a lifesaving transplant, knowing that she was an Organ Donor herself, saying yes to donation at the age of 18, devasted, she was a newlywed with Son in High School. Now, she had to fight for my life! She decided that she was going to do whatever it took for me to get on the transplant list. She worked hard, going to pulmonary rehab to lose weight and stay healthy. She was listed at USC Keck Medical Center, and she waited nine months some of that time in the hospital and hospice because she needed so much oxygen support at times on high flow at 80 liters. She was scared and unsure of my future. She had great faith and prayed that donor lungs would be available for me. On the evening of June 23, 2015, she was in the hospital with her husband, her surgeon called and told her she had Donor's lungs. She was so grateful for her second chance of life, but her heartache as she knew that a family just lost their loved one. June 24, she was in surgery. Today, She is living her life to the fullest with her family and friends. She's an OneLegacy Ambassador, a Nevada Donor Network Advocate, 2020 Donate Life Rose Parade Float Rider, and CEO of One Breath Foundation. She also met my Donor Family in April 2019. She learned that her Donor's name is Maria Quintero form, Los Angeles. She was 22 years old, who passed away due to a drug overdose. Her Mom told her she had already made that decision to help others if anything were to happen to her. She hopes the Donor Maria is proud. She will continue to serve her community by educating them about Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donation and sharing my transplant journey to inspire them to say yes to donation and register. She'll be forever grateful to have received a beautiful gift a second chance of life.

Shanell Thomas was born and raised in Gary, Indiana, on September 1st, 1989. She obtained her diploma at the only performing arts school in Gary, Emerson Visual Performing Arts. It was there where she majored in Acting through her Junior High and the rest of her High School years. After graduating in June of 2009, she went off that Fall to study theater at Vincennes University. After only completing two years at Vincennes, Shanell finally decided to move closer to home. She had been struggling academically and financially to stay in school, while also battling a few health issues. When being away in college over the years, she began suffering from depression and anxiety. Her parents became very concerned and suggested that she took classes closer to Gary. In the Fall of 2011, Shanell moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana, only two hours from her hometown to attend Ivy Tech Community College. It was inexpensive and closer to her parents. She thought the move would be helpful and allow her to complete her degree and manage her stress. It was not long after where her anxiety grew worse, and she started suffering from panic attacks. The attacks were so severe that she would have fainting spells that later resulted in her moving back home for good to be under the care of her family. After moving back home in 2012, it was then Shanell met and eventually married, who is now her ex-husband, Mr. Simmons. They were together a total of seven years and married two and a half years. The two later shared a beautiful daughter but unfortunately, a few marital issues along the way that resulted in them growing apart. After trying to fix what had been broken for years, a decision was made to separate in October 2016. In December 2018, the two divorced and went their separate ways after two years of being isolated and living apart. Shanell had no choice but to move back in with her parents to do that she could get back on her feet. While also living with her parents, she cared for her sickly father up until his death on September 10, 2018. It was after that she realized how important it was for her to start entirely over and figure out a plan for her and her daughter. Shanell worked more than one job at a time to provide while also balancing the role of a single parent. She came up with a plan and decided to focus on servicing her community through her own nonprofit that will serve as a tool to build up the community. Shanell is now the CEO and Founder of Center Stage Mentoring Inc., which focuses on mentoring the youth and encouraging them to be great leaders for the future. She has been acknowledged as a role model in her hometown and rewarded as a great Mentor and Teen Coordinator through the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana. Her role as a Mentor over the years has paid off tremendously, giving her the respect she deserves from her good deeds and active commitment with her organization. Shanell Thomas now resides in Indianapolis, Indiana, with her beautiful daughter and her newfound love who has encouraged her along the way and joined her in expanding Center Stage to the Indianapolis area. She has also started her jewelry line through Paparazzi Accessories called “Shanell’s Boutique,” where she sells jewelry and accessories for a reasonable price. Born and raised in the Amish culture Emily always wondered why things were the way they were. Was there more to life, and could true happiness ever be found? Antoine "AJ" Jefferson was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where terms such as determination, perseverance, and faith became the foundation of his life. Growing up in Brownsville Brooklyn, AJ played basketball for Bishop Loughlin Memorial HS and briefly for Long Island University.
Overcoming depression, low self-esteem, and gang affiliation AJ accepted the call to Christ and moved to Baltimore, MD. AJ's first ministry is his family. After attending various universities, including the broadcasting specialization program at UCLA, Gary started a career that took him and his new bride from local cable news in Los Angeles, to a main anchor/reporter position at KTEN in Texas, to weekend anchor/reporter at KRNV in Reno, Nevada, to twenty years at KWQC in Davenport, Iowa. Plans to stay at KWQC for a 3-year contract turned into a life living in this community they grew to love. Bigger markets called—but the Quad Cities was now home for his thriving family. Highlights include coverage of the Oklahoma City Bombing, where he led his news teams on and off-air as the news director and main anchor to cover this historical story in the KTEN region. He has conducted political coverage at all three stations, including producing and moderating several award-winning debates. He was invited to the White House for an exclusive with President Barack Obama in 2012 and returned home for an exclusive with opponent Mitt Romney. Gary’s favorite career highlight was being able to thank his now 87-year-old mom when receiving an Emmy. She was watching remotely with a glass of wine to celebrate the moment together. His passion has remained sharing everyday stories with everyday people –earning him multiple Mid- America Emmys, Edward R. Murrows and dozens of first-place awards from the Associated Press and IBNA. Gary also earned a master’s degree in writing for children and young adults. Gary left television news in July of 2018 to start his own production company Metivier Media. Part of his new venture continues to focus on sharing stories of inspiring people through his new YouTube and Podcast platforms—“The Heart of the Story with Gary Metivier.” Gary’s wife Pam has been a nurse for nearly 30 years and has been one of his biggest supporters and critics. They two sons, Josh (23) and Adam (18). Both sons are studying in the medical field. (They also have two Golden Retrievers, Max, and Finn, who have no career plans of their own.)

Sherri Simmons is a wife and a mother to her beagle K.B. She is the oldest of four children (two sisters and one brother) and the aunt to three nephews. Sherri has been an educator in the Chicago Public Schools for 13 years, has taught 3rd, 1st, Intermediate Math, served as an Assistant Principal, and is currently working as a STEM Integration Specialist. She is also the Founder and President of Young Ladies At All Times, NFP (Y.L.A.A.T.), a mentoring program for young girls. Dr. Kevin Shorner-Johnson is the director of music education at Elizabethtown College. His scholarship focuses on the intersection of peacebuilding and music education. As a teacher, he has applied his interests in ethics, spirituality, and peacebuilding to approach music coursework in ways that are rooted within an Anabaptist heritage of peacebuilding, intentional community, and ethical discernment. In 2018, Dr. Shorner-Johnson was named to the “Peacemaker in our Midst Award” by the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg. Alayla Bintou Goudiaby is currently a Freshman in High School. She plans to graduate from high school and to attend college to become a veterinarian. She's started own business. Was the first runner-up in the Inner Beauty pageant in 2015. She completed the Girl Talk program before high school. Participated in the Inner Beauty program and completed the Center for Leadership Development Junior self-discovery program. December 2018, April and August of 2019 Alayla was a Vendor at The S.H.E (She Has Everything) an event that host of other vendors. Alayla was interviewed at The S.H.E Event in April 2019 by WRTV6 by Rafael Sanchez. He later invited her and her family to the studio for a second interview alongside her assistant, her little sister, Aissatou. In April 2019, she was awarded the “Phenomenal Youth Leader Award at The Miss Phenomenal Pageant. May 2019 Alayla was allowed to speak at The Girl Talk Incorporated Inaugural Mother’s Day Brunch. June 2019 Alayla was honored at The Juneteenth Junior Achievers Ball along with her little sister and other peers. Among all of Alayla’s Accomplishments, she still found it in her heart to donated 40 Bracelets to the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. In May of 2018, Alayla started Bintou's Bracelets inspired by a Christmas gift from her parents which was a bracelet making set. She made a bracelet for her mom; her friend saw it and asked if she could pay Alayla to make her one. People started to see her work; the orders started to come in. Alayla was thinking, “okay yeah… this could be fun for the summer.” After a while, She got the hang of it as the customer's support continued to pour in. She realized it was more than just a few beads on a string. It is harder than she expected; she had to think and put love into the process of making bracelets for people. Jala Powell was born July 30, 1999, in Detroit, Michigan, but she has been an Indianapolis native for the majority of her life. Jala is an educator, a poet, and a newly published author. She has been working with children and youth for more than 6 years. She’s been writing poetry since middle school and has recently started performing this year at local open mic nights. After receiving much love from Indy locals, Jala decided to publish her first book, The Sun’s Flower. The Sun’s Flower is 20 poems released on her 20th birthday, this past July. The poems are a reflection on her life and her walk back to her faith in the past year. Jala hoped to inspire and reach someone with her words. She’s put her heart, soul, and mind between two covers for the world to read. The book is made to make you cry, laugh, smile and think. Her intentions were to relate and let someone know she knows that feeling that they’re experiencing. Her book touches on her childhood feelings, her preteen years, some puppy love she experienced and her walk back to her faith. 20 years, 20 poems, a lifetime wrapped into 69 pages. Currently, Jala is an undergrad studying psychology. She also works full-time as an educator at a local charter school. She continues to write while being a dog-mom to her German shepherd, Broly. Brenda is a living kidney donor and children’s book author. She has a passion for helping others and educating the community through her experiences. She was inspired to write her first book; My Mom is Having Surgery. Being a living donor herself, her daughter centered her college entrance essay around Brenda’s donation and the inspiration she felt from it. Brenda is now a strong advocate for living donation awareness. Because of this advocacy and her passion for helping others, Brenda came up with the slogan, HOWL: Help Others with Love.

Audrey's mission is to raise the consciousness of humanity one soul at a time. Even from her childhood, she learned how to hold on to her joy. The secret to living a life full of peace, joy, and happiness was in the Holy Bible! She studies the Word of God and realized that everything she wanted to do in the past, present, and future are all lined up with God's plan for her life. She is the founder of Trendsetters. A program designed to help teens girls ages 9 to 13. BA in Creative Writing. She has training in creative writing, dealing with sexually assaulted women, and women in abusive situations. She was also elected Community Representative for Clissold Elementary School. In her church, Christ Alive World Wide Ministries, she is the Vacation Bible School and New Members Teacher.

Debra Des Vignes is the founder of the Indiana Prison Writers Workshop a not-for-profit program based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This program delivers creative writing workshops through the Indiana Department of Correction to men and women who are currently serving prison terms in the state's correctional facilities. Service to men and women impacted by incarceration began during her decade-long career as a television journalist. Covering court and crime beats for new stations in cities such as Los Angeles, California, and Birmingham, Alabama. Before IPWW, and after leaving journalism, Des Vignes held executive-level communications positions for multiple not-for-profit organizations. She's done coverage for CNN, U.S. News, World Report, The Miami Herald, and others. Des Vignes is also the author of the chapbook, Sunday Sweet Sunday, a story of transformation and hope after working with those behind bars each Sunday.

Demetrius Daniels, born on October 8, 1975, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the parents of Stanley Daniels and Juanita Hayes was born into music. Both of his parents, raised in deep gospel roots, raise Demetrius and his two younger brothers in their home church, Church of the First Born Saints. Seeing that Demetrius was a natural, he sang at his church in the Sunshine Band, the adult choir, and sang many solos. In High School, Demetrius continues his love for music by joining a group that was later signed to Def Jam Records. That group was rightfully named, Dos of Soul. Soon after being signed, that was featured on the Nutty Professor soundtrack, made a music video, and performed live on BET's Video Soul with Donnie Simpson. His singing and writing lead him to work with Rodney Bryant, Yet Unseen, Kelly Price, Corey Rooney, Prince Markie D (from the Fat Boys), Lyon Cohen, Max Sigel, and Russell Simmons. He had the honor of sharing the stage with Case, Foxy Brown, Mary J. Blige, and the list goes on and on. Demetrius' story continues. He is currently working back in the studio and will have new music soon to come.

Born October 25th, 1989, Joe was raised by his parents Joe and Constance Elliott II. Joe found a passion for drums at the early age of 2 years old. By four years old Joe could play songs and on occasion, play for his church. The church was where Joe mostly learned how to play the drums. His uncle, Darren Sloss, showed him how to perfect his drum playing, with additional lessons as well. In grade school, music became a massive part of his life. He was very active in sports; he played basketball from elementary school through high school. But studying music became a huge passion. In middle school, Joe picked up the trumpet and learned how to play. From middle school through high school, Joe was known for his trumpet versatility. You could find him performing in marching bands, symphony bands, jazz bands, and pep band. Drums still a huge passion; he began to take it to the next level after graduating school. There, Joe began to play for many different artist and groups. One of his more notable gigs was being the drummer for the showtime brass band for the Indianapolis Colts. Joe has also worked with many artists such as Jeremih Sammie, Mims, Chantae Cann, PJ Morton, Todd Galbert, and many more. He's been able to travel all over the world to such places like London, Bangkok, and Thailand. He is currently working with the dynamic supergroup, Bo On It Productions. They have performed all over the country and the world as well. Joe loves to share his knowledge of the industry. He will be one of this industry most influential artist of his generation.

I've always been around music!!! It’s in my DNA. My family is full of singers, musicians, producers, and songwriters, and it was my destiny to be in music. My father and mother made sure that my siblings and I had a very healthy balance of different styles of music ranging from Gospel, Classical, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Funk and Neo-Soul(I got into Hip-Hop by hearing OutKast’s Jazzy Bells lol). After hearing Stevie Wonder’s Songs In The Key Of Life, my love for music grew into a marriage!!!! I started to play piano at 15, played the trombone from middle school thru high school, and has sung in choirs at church and background work. I’m with the BEST BAND IN THE WORLD, Be On It. I'm a keyboardist, producer, arranger, and composer. I’ve had the honor and privilege to work and share the stage with some awesome artists such as PJ Morton, Jeremih, Chantae Cann, Bashiri Asad, Kenny Garmon, L. LeBron Wilson, Demetrius West, Le’Andria Johnson, and Phil Carroll. I’ve also been honored to open up for Moonchild, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Jonathan Nelson, and Fred Hammond. Some of my favorite artists that are my biggest inspirations and influences are Stevie Wonder, Robert Glasper, Daniel Moore II, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Earth Wind and Fire, Mint Condition, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Tye Tribbett, Donald Lawrence, D’Angelo, Cory Henry, OutKast, The Beatles, Kevin Bond, Jesse Thompson, The Doobie Brothers, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, John Legend amongst countless others.
