Our aim is to educate, equip, and empower our listening audience while sharing culturally relevant spiritually uplifting, thought provoking educational topics. The podcast audience demographic is generally made up of "affluent educated millennials ages 25 and up," however, our targeted audience is African Americans, Hispanics, people of color, low to moderate income populations, single parenting households, and disfranchised people. All adults are welcome to partake in the podcast. It does not matter the persons socioeconomic status, race, creed, nor educational background, religious affiliation, or lack thereof, as long as they have an interest in respectfully learning about African American culture, race, relationships, history, religion, and other topics than all are welcome.
The Robinson's lives and ministry exemplifies the characteristics of the beautiful Lotus Flower, a sheer blend of beauty, determination, and courage. Reverend Curtis L. Robinson, Sr. has served as the co-pastor of Emerging HOPE Ministry of Kalamazoo for nine years, fifteen years of service as an Associate Pastor, and a total of thirty years of preaching the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Reverend Curtis L. Robinson, Sr. is a man of God who has clearly been endowed by the Holy Spirit with the gift to teach and preach. He is a lover of people and one who works well with others. Reverend Robinson preaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ with conviction and clarity and demonstrates that he is a “doer of the Word” through his conversation and community volunteerism. His spirit is open to serve in whatever capacity the Lord sees fit to use him. He is an active member of the Recovery Community. Having served as Support Partner with Recovery Institute of Southwest Michigan Inc., he is a strong advocate for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Dr. Pamela Robinson is the Founder of the Emerging HOPE Family Strengthening Program, Emerging HOPE, Emerging HOPE Christian Counseling, and Co-Founder and co-pastor of the Emerging HOPE Ministries in Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Pamela Robinson is an esteemed author that has published Blossoming with HOPE: Parent Educational Manuel, The Color of HOPE: African American Mental Health in the Church, A Dissertation “Education the African American Church Towards Those with Mental Health Challenges to Have an Attitudinal Change (2021 Published on ProQuest National Academic Scholarly Database), and created a set of emotional regulation flashcards, “Blooming with New Coping Skills” for children ages 3 -14. Dr. Robinson is an ordain elder with over 25 years of preaching the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is an alumnus of Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work—Cum Laude (1986) and a Master of Arts degree in Social Work (2009). Dr. Robinson is also an alumnus of the former Apex School of Theology, Durham, North Carolina where she earned Doctor of Ministry degree in Biblical Studies - with High Academic Honors (2017) and a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Studies - Cum Laude (2016).
