From a young age, Jim Jones had his eyes set on becoming a preacher. At 24 he would accomplish that goal by opening the Peoples Temple church in Indianapolis. But, by the end of his life he lead over 900 people to their death in what is now known as the Jonestown Massacre. Before 9/11 the Jonestown Massacre was the largest loss of U.S. civilian lives from a non-natural disaster, and I caution anyone who decides to look up this case because the pictures alone will have you shaking.

Family is everything. No question about it. True, they will get on your nerves like nobodyâs business. But at the end of the day, it's all love. I WISH that was the theme for today. But, this âFamilyâ is nothing of the sort. This âFamilyâ ruthlessly murdered without remorse or care, all led by a deranged racist who couldnât deal with rejection. What better way to kick off the cult season then by starting with Charles Manson.

On November 13, 2022, Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapin, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves lost their lives in a tragic quadruple homicide. Xana, Ethan, Madison and Kaylee all attended the University of Idaho and had come back from a night out when their lives were taken. Much of this episodeâs facts and topics are coming from the Probable Cause Affidavit that was released last week. It is a statement made by Brett Payne, Corporal at the Moscow Police Department. CPL Payne is being assisted by the members of the Idaho State Police and the FBI. To be clear: There may be (and there probably is) more evidence in this case that is not in the affidavit. That is because the affidavitâs purpose is not to outline everything that the police know. It is to satisfy the probable cause for arrest standard. Please be sure to keep up with the case as the investigation is ongoing and new facts are sure to emerge.

I could go on for hours about how much of an influence she is, not only for the barriers she broke for women, but for being the breath of fresh air that the people needed. You guysâŚthis is a weird one. It takes SO MANY twists and turns, pun intended, that your head is going to be spinning. Thankfully prayer hands Helen has pieced together a timeline so we can try to understand what happened to the Tromp family. The story of the Tromps made its way into the media and captured the Australian public as they wondered how a family could have become so strangely and suddenly separated, lost, and then found with no explanation.

Last week authorities were finally able to bring peace to Brittanee Drexelâs family!! After being identified through dental records, it was announced that Brittaneeâs remains were found on May 11th AND AND AND that the piece of sh** responsible was charged with her murder. We here at Chalkline headquarters were so happy to hear the news and wanted to share her story. Now normally spring break is supposed to be the ultimate fun time. But if youâre a parent, spring break is the ultimate stressor. Itâs just easier to tell your kid no. But what if you tell your kid no and they go anyway? And what if thatâs the last time you speak? This is the disappearance of Brittany Drexel.

Its cruise ship fuckery yall. I simply cannot. I wonât. I canât even, and this case is odd as hell. The sea is a lawless land and you guys are going to want to hear EVERYTHING about it before your next trip. It all started with a phone call. A worried girl calls her grandpa, frantic as hell, wondering where her mother is because they havenât spoken in dayssss. It would take police almost a whole month to track her down. But when they do, nothing is as it seems. Selena Gomes taught us best.

This one's a doozyâŚso strap in and lets get to it. Casey Anthony ?!?! Are we sure about this? Yes. Yes, we are. But, forget her snooty little pretentious wannabe ungrateful horrible.....ya know what, weâre gonna cut this one real short. Itâs a case many of you know, many have feelings toward, and many request. At its core, it is a tragedy of a baby girl who was taken from us way too soon. But this case was clouded by so much more (you guys have literally no ideadsjodhfcksdhos, sorry spazzed a little bitâŚanyways). This is the case of Caylee Anthony.

In 2019 Samuel Little was declared the most prolific serial killer in U.S. History, having confessed to 93 murders, FBI and Texas Rangers are still actively working to identify these victims. Despite committing a slew of other crimes, that led to him being arrested over 100 times, he was still able to evade capture. The question is how. How did all these victims go unnoticed?

The foundational promises of justice and freedom come at a sacrificial cost to black Americans as we demand to be seen and heard regardless of our gender, age, educational attainment and socioeconomic status. When weâre thrust into unsolicited encounters with law enforcement, it leaves us bruised, humiliated and with a loss of dignity not otherwise experienced by a majority of Americans who benefit from the liberties promised by âourâ America. - Sharon Cooper

When officers receive two calls about the same murder, its a little weird. The fact that the second call was made only 2 minutes after the first, is strange. But when both men claim to have been in the house and both found the victim dead, it's just a little too coincidental for me. But, we know this for sure. Someone is definitely lying, someone is definitely getting locked up, and Helen is definitely going to say âwho is this b****â to every suspect I mention.

Itâs Massachusetts' oldest Jane Doe, she was found lying on the beach in 1974. Years later facial recognition still hasnât quite pinpointed who she is, however, Massachusetts and people from all across America have come forward with some interesting theories. Back when gas was 31 cents per gallon, and Casey Anthony wasnât a household name, America knew a different name, âAlice Crimminsâ. Dubbed the Casey Anthony of her time, Alice Crimmins was a mother in the 1960s who didnât necessarily fit societyâs standards. When her two kids turn up dead, and she is policeâs main suspect, her trial seems to focus a lot less on the murder of her children and a lot more on who she was in her free time.

You voted on our instagram for which case you wanted to hear next and of course: we delivered. This case consists of inspiration from an old movie, a 13 year old waiting on the phone for the other line to be free, and it all comes down to being cracked open by testimony about an air conditioner. We are talking about the murder of Ellen Sherman.

This week we are bringing you a story unlike any other that we have done yet. Itâs a Hollywood story baby! Natalie Wood was a famous Hollywood star. She was known for her major roles and was nominated for 3 Oscars before she turned 25, but she was also known for her phobia of water. Which makes her disappearance all the more bizarre. This case features notable names like Christopher Walken and Robert Wagner.

Michelle Von Emster was a 25 year old girl and the world was her oyster. She beat cancer and lived a free-spirited and fun life. Her life would sadly be cut short in April 1994, and the big question that is left is honestly ridiculous on its face. Was Michelle Von Emster murdered, or was this merely a gruesome shark attack?
