Why is it so hard to stay consistent?! Especially when YOU KNOW in your heart that consistency is the only thing holding you back from where you want to be? It’s like spiritic moments of unproductivity and lack of motivation pass and all of a sudden you don’t know why you’re doing what you’re doing. Suddenly you feel like starting that business isn’t the best idea, promoting your music is a waste of time, taking that next step to get your own place doesn’t seem like the best move (no pun intended)..

Don’t fall for the negativity, STAY CONSISTENT!

Most if not all of us have had to check our siblings/family members about treating outside people better than they do us. If we’re being honest we may be guilty of doing the same. In all reality, some family relationships deserve to be cut off the same way bad friendships do. This episode is a great depiction on those types of instances.

Why do we turn a blind eye to those within the black community who make the decision to consult with a therapist? Being able to be heard and reflect on feelings in a positive light is a beautiful thing and should be more supported. The sad reality is that many generations within our community have carried and passed on unaddressed trauma that has left a lot of us with weight we can’t carry. A lot of us enter situations/relationships without addressing these issues and wonder why we never get the outcome we desire. Instead of indulging in an escape; alcohol, sex, drugs, etc., we’re gonna try something different. We’re going to therapy…

After being hurt by people/situations I've always found a sense of comfort in the fact that I could blame them/it for why I couldn't move on with my life. When in reality, it was ME who wasn't allowing myself to move on. Waiting around for closure is old news! YOU are in control of your growth.

How is it that our minds are only able to focus on all that’s wrong in our lives, even with the highest level of support and positivity from those around us?

One of the things I’ve been trying to master in this part of my life is the control of what feeds my mind. Looking back at where my mindset was when this year started, I can definitely say that it’s SHIFTED.

When you were a child, you were afraid of clowns and now you are one. Funny how life comes full circle. We’ve all been there and some of us are still stuck at the circus. Dewey and Bre share a variety of situations where clownery exists in their lives. They also argue about Nicki vs Joe Budden. Oh and is Jay a clown for partnering with the NFL?

Let’s chat.
