As a teaser for the ULTIMATE MUSIC COUNTDOWN 2022, my guest, OBAJIMI JADESOLA making her second appearance on the podcast, gave an insightful summary of Nigeria's music growth and acceptance across the world. We also touched in the sustainability of this organic appeal we have going for us as well as making predictions of breakout and next level artistes in 2023. It was truly fulfilled and as we spared time to recap artists/songs that made 2022 memorable.
Back on a solo run to give my long overdue stance on Nigeria's thriving music industry, I touched on notable artistes who have gotten the password to making Afrobeat hits. Actually, it is not a crime to hack the receptiveness of all demography, hence they harbour no guilt. But it's still terrific whenever they put out music with the instantaneous positive response they get in return. They have hacked Afrobeats. Truth be told, it is paradoxical because they are innocent of this sonic crime.
A whirlwind of political sensitization has started and like never before, Nigerians are not sleeping on this golden chance to escape from the captivity of their tormentors. With the return of election campaign and the heightened search for uncommon hope to rely on going to the most delicate epoch of the country, I had two brilliant analyst; MARVELOUS ODUWOLE AND OJO OLAWALE JAMES to dissect the chances of famous aspirants and emerging dark horses at the 2023 GENERAL ELECTION.
Taking a dive into faith, my guest and I touched on the issue of religion and its heightened sensitivity. Using the Catholic Church as a case study, she highlighted some of the benefits of religion against the popular opinion that it is the opium of the masses and the hindrance to any meaningful growth and development in Nigeria and other countries big on religion. A balanced perspective is what you get and the logical analogy given makes this episode a must listen.
Adhering to the request for a male perspective, this episode is all about the continuation of our last discussion. My guest, CHARLES ONWUBUYA and I exchanged ideas on the prevalence of male superiority. We also drew instances that feed on the ego of men to adjudge their vile act as tenable.
In a not-too-famous way, this episode entertains the thought and reaction of the opposite sex to discuss an issue facing the generation of Adam. As a first of two parts, my guest, Pauline Iheme, gives a feminine perspective to the issue of TOXIC MASCULINITY. She touched on the reason why it's still obtainable in our society today, how her gender aid and abate its continuity and the possible solutions to help reduce, if impossible to totally wipe out, the extremely unpleasant ignorance of male superiority.
It will interest you to know that language/accent being the identity of a person is often used as a weapon of deprivation with job seekers at the receiving end. In a multiethnic country like Nigeria, Lingual bias is rife. The domino effect is felt in all sectors where recruitment happens. Just like other developed climes, it's a disturbing trend that needs to be addressed. My guest, OBAJINMI JADESOLA talked on the issue and like always on this podcast, proffered solutions with implementation style.
Using clear terms, my guest, a mental health expert Dr. Johanna Omoyeni belt out some of the often misconstrued standpoint on mental health. With enough firsthand experience, we get to know the real definition of mental health and the reasons why we don't prioritize it in this part of the world, and above all, solutions on how to be inclined to self help and love.

What better way to ENTANGLE my listeners to my reaction to the subtle pitfalls of exceedingly open ended relationship. It's my TRUTH and I hope you accept it. On this episode, I decided to talk about the bitter truth of not knowing what you want which leads to not KNOWING YOUR WORTH. Using myself as an example, I gave out freely, some steps I took to escape the trap of self-unbelief. I came out of it relatively unscathed. You can too.

As the first, i decided to talk about what many people naively shy away from - psychological insecurity. In an endemic clime like Nigeria, i gave out some clues to follow in order to defeat the depression of not getting the validation you desire from people. I hope you enjoy it.
