Get prepping folks! We're bringing you a special DOOMSDAY episode, recorded deep within the Incoming Missile bunker.
Sad but true: one day the MWO Apocalypse will come, the last match will end, the Rotatoes will spin no more, and the servers will go dark.
In today’s episode we’re gonna be looking at how far off that day may be, and how it might play out when it does eventually happen. Then we’re gonna wrap up the episode with some conjecture about what future there is for the franchise, in particular the possibility of a MechWarrior Online 2.
Anyone remember what last years World Championship was like? In this episode, the Incoming Missile crew are re-releasing our post MechCon 2018 discussion with Krasnopesky, a participant in the finals and current co-organizer of this years upcoming tournament.
Be sure to head along to the MWO Comp Discord for all the announcements relating to the tournament, including when the competition windows are, specifically organized Fight Nights so you’ll always have someone to play, when the invitational tournaments are being held for those teams involved in that qualification path, and of course how you can become involved or join a team and play!

Remember you can also support the tournament itself by heading to Matcherino and stumping up some cash for prize money and scoring yourself some sweet rewards as well.

Kia ora mechfans, you favourite Kiwi podcasters are back and in Episode 23, Capn Cat and Cozened Indigo finally break their silence on PGI's recent announcement that they have taken an exclusivity deal with Epic Games, and MW5 will only be available via the Epic Games Store when it launches in Dec-19.
That's right, we're branching away from MWO in this episode and trying to have a reasoned discussion on this decision by looking at the facts and considering both a pessimistic and optimistic view of what we know.
You've probably heard alot of outrage, so we're putting our mellow Kiwi accents to good use and lowering the temperature a little so we can tackle question like whether PGI acted in bad faith, whether the EGS is a good thing or not, whether the deal is a cash over community move and whether PGI are doing whats best for the game or not.
Listen in on our takes and tell us whether you agree or not!

ISC is well in the lostech rear view camera now - This time we're joined by tournament organisers Calon Farstar & Notbob - to discuss what worked, what could have been better, and what we could see in the future for the 6v6 Inner Sphere Coalition.
We also drill down into the mechanics of tournament rules, and how they influence the gameplay we see in the field.
As mentioned in the pod - here's the link to the tournament data pack by our resident sheethead Cozened Indigo

Well competitive Mechwarrior Online keeps marching forward and today we’re shifting the Incoming Missile reticle to the MWO Summer Grand Prix. If you need to skip ahead, here are the relevant time stamps:
Preamble: 00:20, Teams: 04:34, Pilots: 30:55, Mechs and Strats: 35:25, Takeaways: 41:35

Are there things that players do in a game that just piss you off? Someone shoot your back or call you out over VOIP? We call these things dck moves and in Episode 19, the Incoming Missile Dropship is inbound and we've got a list of different in-game dck moves that piss off us!
Now to help us get salty, we're joined by top tier Patron Nikoro Doomguard, who loaded his own list of d*ck moves on to the dropship.
Have a listen and see whether you agree with our list and be sure to tell us about the dck moves that annoy the hell out of you in the comments below. And remember IMPfans, be bro, don't be a dck...

Its another comp-related episode and this time Cozened Indigo is taking a look at the Inner Sphere Coalition a 6v6 , inner sphere only tournament, where teams play 5 drops against each other, with a tonnage limit of 325 tonnes. There are 33 teams battling each other in a Swiss style format and we are currently 3 rounds in to the tournament. Which is the perfect time to have a look at how those teams are going, what pilots are shining under the light of competition and what mechs we are seeing used. Its also the perfect time to consider the key takeaways from this competition and what they might mean for MWOWC 19 and comp in general.
We are also planning on doing a post-competition review of the tournament, so some of the aspects, such as the structure, the format, the maps and strats etc, we’ll leave until after its wrapped up. Hopefully we’ll be joined by Notbob and Calon again and they can reflect on some of those things from the perspective of the tournament organizers.

Welcome to another in our 'Target Locks' series and this time we've got line of sight and a low trajectory arc on variety streamer, cosplay enthusiast, and aspiring pin up model Ashlyn Black. She’s relatively new to streaming and new to the MWO experience but is quickly making a name for herself as a vivacious host and producer of content.
We’re chatting with Ash today about what brought her to streaming and what goes in to her content creation. We also chat about what lead her to the MWO universe and her thoughts on how it compares to other communities she’s been a part of. We also talk at length about the new player experience in MWO and what it’s like for her learning the game. Entry into the game is something that a lot of the player base worry about, particularly concerning growing the game, so Ash gives us a really interesting perspective from someone going through the Tiers at the moment.

REEEEEEEEE!!! Well Mechfans, you can't have a podcast called Incoming Missile and not tackle the debate around Long Range Missiles. That's right, in Episode 13 (unlucky for some), Capn Cat and Cozened Indigo are weighing in on the LRM debate. Now in typical IMP fashion, we're trying to tackle the issue in a way that considers both sides of the conversation, so firstly we equip our ECM and we talk about why LRMs are so widely hated. We then flip to 'Disrupt' and brave LRMargeddon to discuss why LRMs might not be as big a problem as they are made out to be. Lastly, we talk about the changes PGI are planning to make to (and around) the weapon system in the March 2019 patch and what impacts they might have. So whether you're a LRM-hater like Capn Cat, or a LRM-apologist like Cozened Indigo, we think there'll be something for you in this episode. And remember, this is the start of the conversation on LRMs, not the end, so be sure to provide us your thoughts and feedback on this controversial topic! We'll collate your opinions and do a second episode to discuss, post the March 2019 changes. As always, a BIG thank you to our patrons, Jon, BrioS, Shaky Snake and Jacob Sawyer - your support helps us produce this content. Competitive MWO has a new home! MWO Comp is the newest player-run league of competitive play and the first tournament they're launching in the Martial Olympiad Reborn!
In Episode 12, we’ve got one of the co-organizers with us, Krasnopesky of JGx, who alongside JustcallmeASH and Live1991 are driving the organization and administration of the league. In the episode we ask Kras to explain the general rules and format associated with the tournament, including the structure of the drops, map-banning and scoring. Kras and Capn Cat also go a little in to what type of drop decks and strats we might see. We also touch on the prizes that are on offer for players and viewers, what the coverage of the tournament will look like, and of course all the contact points you can go to to help find the information you want on the tournament itself.

Welcome to Incoming Missile Podcasts eighth episode, the second in our two-part series where your hosts Capn Cat and Cozened Indigo recap Mech_Con 2018. This episode we focus in on the World Championship - including the Open Season, the finals (including the now infamous #keyboardgate) and we get an inside look at what it’s like to be a MechWarrior e-thlete and play in front of a roaring MWO crowd. And finally we look to the future and theorize what MWOWC 2019 might look like. To help us with that, today we’re joined by Krasnopesky of First Jaguar Guards (JGx), who was in Vancouver to compete in the finals of the Mechwarrior World Championships 2018. Krasnopesky was one of Jaguar Guards top pilots in his Wolfhound, doing an amazing job in the point defense and anti-light roles.
