It always seems impossible until it is done" - Nelson Mandela.
Everything at first seems as impossible because we tend to think more than its originality. Every impossible inventions were made possible because the inventors strived harder and mostly importantly they started to work at it more patiently. So to achieve any impossible task starting to work on it is important.
Have a beautiful day 😇

Changing Bad Habits
Once there was a wealthy man who requested an old sage to wean his son away from his bad habits.
The sage took the boy for a stroll through a garden.
Stopping suddenly he asked the boy to pull out a tiny plant growing there.
The boy held the plant between his thumb and forefinger and pulled it out.
The old man then asked him to pull out a slightly bigger plant.
The boy pulled hard and the plant came out, roots and all.
“Now pull out that one,” said the old man pointing to a bush. The boy had to use all his strength to pull it out.
“Now take this one out”, said the old man, indicating a big tree.
The boy grasped the trunk and tried to pull it out. But it would not budge. “It’s impossible,” said the boy, conceding defeat.
“So it is with bad habits,” said the sage. “When they are young it is easy to pull them out but when they take hold, it becomes impossible to uproot them.”
This meeting with the old man changed the boy’s life.
Don’t wait for bad habits to grow in you, drop them while you have control over it else they will get control you.
Have a Happy Day😇

Why Those Tears?
All three sons of a mother were participating in a war. After some days news came that the first son was killed.
The mother just smiled and said, “He is fortunate to die for the nation.” Again, after a few days, the second son also died in the battlefield. Then also the mother said, “I am happy to be the mother of another valiant son, who gave his life for the country.”
The third son also met with the same fate. This time, when she heard the news, inspite of her proud smile, there were also a few drops of tears in her eyes. “At last you weep,” said a man standing by her side. “Yes” she said, “I weep because I have no more sons to sacrifice for my beloved motherland.”
Have a Happy Day!😇

Look in the Mirror
Sukrat was very ugly, he always used to carry a mirror and look into it often. Surprised, one friend asked, “You are so ugly, why do you look into the mirror again and again?”
Sukrat replied, “It reminds me to do good work so that I can overcome ny ugliness with the beauty of good deeds.”
After a pause he added, “Similarly, those who are good looking should also look into the mirror to remind themselves that their misdeeds may put spots on the beauty bestowed to them by God.”
In his opinion human beings should be like sandalwood - spread fragrance irrespective of looks.
Have a Happy Day!😇

A Most Important Question
Once our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions, until I reached the last one.
“What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?”
Surely this was some kind of a joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark haired in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count for our quiz grade.
“Absoluetly” said the professor. “In your careers you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello.”
I have never forgotten that lesson....

Telling the truth is a very good habit. If you always speak the truth, you can save yourselves from lots of trouble! Here is the story of a man, who did a lot of bad things, but his promise to tell the truth saved him. This is a true story, so read it carefully.
Once a man came to the Saint and said, I have many bad habits. Which one of them should I give up first?”
The Saint said, “Give up telling lies first and always speak the truth.” The man promised to do so and went home.
At night the man was about to go out to steal. Before setting out, he thought for a moment about the promise he made with the Saint. “If tomorrow the Saint asks me where have I been, what shall I say?
Shall I say that I went out stealing? No, I cannot say that. But nor can I lie. If I tell the truth, everyone will start hating me and call me a thief. I would be punished for stealing.”
So the man decided not to steal that night, and gave up this bad habit.
Next day, he felt like drinking wine, when he was about to do so, he said to himself, “What shall I say to the Saint if he asks me what did I do during the day? I cannot tell a lie, and if I speak the truth people will hate me, because a religious person is not allowed to drink wine.
”
And so he gave up the idea of drinking wine.
In this way, whenever the man thought of doing something bad, he remembered his promise to tell the truth at all times. One by one, he gave up all his bad habits and became a very good person.
MORAL: Make a promise: I shall always speak the truth.

A restless businessman once came into Buddha’s assembly, walked straight to him and spat at Buddha. He was furious that his children who could have spent their time earning money, sat with Buddha instead, with their eyes closed. Buddha merely smiled at him. There was no word, no reaction. The man walked away in a huff, shocked. He could not sleep all night. For the first time in his life, he met someone who smiled when he was spat at. His whole world had turned upside down.
The next day he went back to Buddha, fell at his feet and said, “Please forgive me! I didn’t know what I did.” But Buddha said, “No! I cannot excuse you!” Everyone in his assembly was taken aback! Buddha said, “Why should I forgive you when you have done nothing wrong?”
The businessman reminded him of what he did on the previous day. Buddha simply replied, “Oh that person is not here now. If I ever meet the person you spat on, I’ll tell him to excuse you. To this person here, you’ve not done any wrong.”
Compassion is not saying, “I forgive you.” Your forgiveness should be such that the person who is forgiven, does not even know that you are forgiving them. They should not even feel guilty about their mistake. This is real compassion.

The Power of Loving Kindness :
What Buddha said… : Overcome anger through kindness, wickedness through goodness, selfishness through charity, and falsehood through truthfulness.
NEWLY-WED UTTARA was not very happy in her new household, for although she loved to prepare almsfood for the Buddha and his disciples, she was too busy looking after the needs of her new husband to do so. She complained to her father about it and he, feeling sorry for her, sent her some money. Uttara then asked her husband if she could use it to hire a maidservant who would look after him while she used her own time to prepare almsfood for the Buddha and his monks. The husband agreed and a maidservant was employed.
One day, while Uttara was busily preparing food for one of her merit-making ceremonies, her husband happened to pass by the kitchen. Seeing his wife so happily engaged, he thought to himself, “What a foolish little woman! She should be enjoying herself instead of working so hard." And he smiled at her affectionately.
When the maidservant saw his smile, she forgot that she was only a hired hand, and in a fit of jealousy, took a pot of hot boiling butter from the stove to pour over Uttara. When Uttara realized what the maid was going to do, she made this resolution: “Let the butter scald me only if I bear any ill-will toward my maidservant." But ill-will was far from the heart of Uttara. Instead, she felt only loving kindness and gratitude toward her maid, for Uttara realized that without her, she would not have been able to carry out all of her merit-making activities. Consequently, the hot butter simply rolled off Uttara’s body like drops of cold water.
When Uttara’s attendants realized what the maid had done, they seized her and started hitting her from all sides. Uttara immediately ordered them to stop.
The maid then realized that she was in no position to be jealous of Uttara. Feeling ashamed, she asked Uttara for forgiveness.
Later when the Buddha learned what had happened, he praised Uttara for having conquered anger by loving kindness. He further instructed his listeners that abuse should be conquered by non-abuse, selfishness by generosity, and lying by speaking the truth.
What Buddha said… : Overcome anger through kindness, wickedness through goodness, selfishness through charity, and falsehood through truthfulness.
What Buddha said… : Those who are ever vigilant, who by day and by night discipline themselves, and who are wholly intent upon Nibbana, their defilements are destroyed.

Value of Time :
Once, a king and a lazy man named Haria were very good friends. One morning, the king said, "Why don't you do work to earn some money?"
Haria said, "No one gives me job. My enemies told everyone that I never do any work in time."
The kind king said, "You can go into my treasury and collect as much wealth as you can, till sunset."
Haria rushed home to tell this to his wife. She said, "Go and get the gold coins and gems now."
"I cannot go now. Give me lunch first."
After lunch, he took a nap for an hour. Then in the late afternoon, he picked some bags and went to the palace. On the way, he felt hot so he sat under a tree to rest. Then, two hours later, he got up to go but saw a man showing some magic tricks. He stopped to watch for an hour again.
When he reached the palace it was already time for sunset. The palace gates had been shut. So Haria had lost a golden chance because he had not learnt the value of time.

Once a young man asked the wise man, Socrates, the secret to success. Socrates patiently listened to the man’s question and told him to meet him near the river the next morning for the answer. The next morning Socrates asked the young man to walk with him towards the river. As they went in the river the water got up to their neck. But to the young man’s surprise Socrates ducked him into the water.
The young man struggled to get out of the water, but Socrates was strong and kept him there until the boy started turning blue. Socrates pulled the man’s head out of the water. The young man gasps and took a deep breath of air. Socrates asked, ‘What did you want the most when your head was in the water?” The young man replied, “Air.” Socrates said, “That is the secret to success. When you want success as badly as you wanted the air while you were in the water, then you will get it. There is no other secret.”
Moral of the short story:
A burning desire is the starting point of all accomplishment. Just like a small fire cannot give much heat, a weak desire cannot produce great results.

When someone exhibits great endurance through all kinds of trials, annoyances, or provocations, we say that person has “the patience of Job.” The idiom is applied to those who nobly persevere in the face of overwhelming hardships. The expression has its origin in James 5:10–11: “Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.”
Among the many Old Testament examples of patience, Job is selected as the prime illustration. He is the exemplar of a patient man. There are many reasons why this must be the case.
Job’s patience stands out because Job’s story is extreme in the amount of suffering he endured. Job lost all of his children and his wealth in a single day. He then was covered in painful sores, and his wife offered him no support—she encouraged him to give up, curse God, and die (Job 2:9). When Job’s three friends came to comfort him, they could not even recognize him from a distance (Job 2:12). Adding to Job’s pain, his friends falsely accused him of wrongdoing and blamed his troubles on his unrepentant heart. Through it all, Job patiently endured (Job 2:10).
James used Job as a prime example of patience in suffering because of what may have been in store for James’ readers. By the time of the writing of the epistle of James, Stephen had already been killed as the first Christian martyr (Acts 6—7). The early Jewish Christians had fled from Jerusalem for safety (Acts 8:1). Saul had arrested Christians in Jerusalem (Acts 9). By Acts 12 (approximately AD 42), James the apostle (not the writer of the epistle) had been killed, and Peter barely escaped death. James wrote his epistle sometime between 44 and 49; it was a troubled period, and the early church faced much persecution. The believers were in need of endurance.
With the many forms of suffering facing these early Christians, it was important to be reminded that they, like Job, had done nothing to deserve their suffering but were to patiently endure for the sake of Christ. Just as Job faced many struggles, they would face hardship in living for God. This is one of the key themes of James (1:2–4, 12–15; 5:7–13).
Still today, the patience of Job serves as an inspiration to Christians who face times of struggle and suffering. No matter what happens, we are called to follow Job’s example as we patiently endure in service and worship to the Lord, remembering that our God is “full of compassion and mercy” (James 5:11).

Compassion and Forgiveness When we separate ourselves from people who are hurting – it doesn’t mean we are being judgemental. We should separate ourselves with compassion. “Compassion is a keen awareness of the suffering of another coupled with a desire to see it relieved.”
You get hurt mostly by your own inner pain and struggles. One should learn to not REACT – due to the belief that others are bad. Others are actually already feeling bad and think so – that is why they act the way they do. Moreover, people aren’t bad. They are just hurt and damaged. Thus, they badly need compassion.
Moreover, compassion is an extremely internal process. A journey into understanding the struggles faced by others and the pain they experience due to this. Compassion “is not trying to change or fix that person.”
“Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal truth.” – Lord Buddha

Does God exist? – God in Us
Each of the prior categories is an entire field of study and the subject of thousands of books. Yet the existence of God is demonstrated most profoundly, for most people, in personal experience. It may be impossible to “prove” to others that you’re happy, for instance, but that doesn’t change the fact that you are. That’s not to say internal perspective outweighs objective truth, but complex truths are often powerfully supported by individual experiences. Changed lives, reformed attitudes, and answers to prayer are all part of our personal perception that God exists.
A personal sense of truth is the most compelling way we know God exists, and it’s God’s intent for all people to experience that sense. God came to earth personally, as a human being (2 Corinthians 4:6), so we could have a personal relationship with Him (John 14:6). Those who sincerely seek God will find Him (Matthew 7:7–8), resulting in the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26–27).

BE DAMM PATIENT......
Buddha and his disciples decided to undertake a journey in which they would have to cross various territories and cities. One day, they saw a lake in the distance. They decided to stop there since they were thirsty. When they arrived, Buddha said to his youngest and most impatient disciple: “I’m thirsty. Can you bring me some water from that lake?”
The disciple went to the lake, but when he arrived he noticed that a wagon of oxen was crossing it. Little by little, the water became cloudy. After this happened, the disciple thought, “I can’t give the teacher this muddy water to drink.” Thus, he went back and told Buddha, “The water is very muddy, I don’t think we can drink it.”
After about a half an hour later, Buddha asked the disciple to go back to the lake and bring him some water to drink. However, the water was still dirty. Once he returned, he said to Buddha: “We can’t drink that water. We should walk to the town to get something to drink”.
Buddha didn’t answer him. However, he didn’t make any movement either. He just stayed there. After a while, Buddha asked the disciple once again to go back to the lake and bring him water. As he didn’t want to challenge his master, he went to the lake. However, he was furious because he didn’t understand why he had asked him to go back again. Since the water was muddy, they couldn’t drink it.
When he arrived, he observed that the water now looked crystal clear. Thus, he collected some and brought it to Buddha. He looked at the water and said to the disciple, “What have you done to clean the water?” The disciple didn’t understand the question. It was obvious that he hadn’t done anything.
The Buddha looked at him and explained, “You waited and let it be. Therefore, the mud settled on its own and now the water is clear. Your mind is like that too! When it’s muddy, you have to let it be. Give it some time. Don’t be impatient. On the contrary, be patient. It’ll reach a balance on its own. You don’t have to make any effort to calm it down. Everything will pass on its own as long as you don’t hold on to it.”
The art of patience to silence the mind Patience is the key to this Buddhist story. It’s about the art of knowing how to wait, respecting time, and pausing when the occasion calls for it, especially when it comes to your thoughts. In fact, the more overwhelmed you find yourself, the more you need to stop thinking before the web of thoughts grows.
Doing nothing, giving things time, and waiting are good options to calm your agitated mind. In fact, Buddhists call a mind that jumps from thought to thought in an agitated fashion, until you’re exhausted and confused, a ‘monkey mind’.
If you get carried away by impatience, anger, stress or frustration, surely you’ll end up making hasty decisions. Therefore, it’s better to take a few minutes to breathe. Emotionally distance yourself from what happened and get in touch with yourself. Only then will you achieve mental peace, just like at the end of the Buddhist story.

Here we discussed some thing angry by a sweet little story...
One day, the Buddha and a large following of monks and nuns were passing through a village. The Buddha chose a large shade tree to sit beneath so the group could rest awhile out of the heat. He often chose times like these to teach, and so he began to speak. Soon, villagers heard about the visiting teacher and many gathered around to hear him.
One surly young man stood to the side, watching, as the crowd grew larger and larger. To him, it seemed that there were too many people traveling from the city to his village, and each had something to sell or teach. Impatient with the bulging crowd of monks and villagers, he shouted at the Buddha, "Go away! You just want to take advantage of us! You teachers come here to say a few pretty words and then ask for food and money!"
But the Buddha was unruffled by these insults. He remained calm, exuding a feeling of loving-kindness. He politely requested that the man come forward. Then he asked, "Young sir, if you purchased a lovely gift for someone, but that person did not accept the gift, to whom does the gift then belong?"
The odd question took the young man by surprise. "I guess the gift would still be mine because I was the one who bought it."
"Exactly so," replied the Buddha. "Now, you have just cursed me and been angry with me. But if I do not accept your curses, if I do not get insulted and angry in return, these curses will fall back upon you—the same as the gift returning to its owner."
The young man clasped his hands together and slowly bowed to the Buddha. It was an acknowledgement that a valuable lesson had been learned. And so the Buddha concluded for all to hear, "As a mirror reflects an object, as a still lake reflects the sky: take care that what you speak or act is for good. For goodness will always cast back goodness and harm will always cast back harm."

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to work out how to get it out. Finally, he decided the animal was old and as the well needed to be covered up, it just wasn’t worth trying to retrieve the donkey.
He asked all his neighbours to come and help him. They all brought a shovel and began shovelling dirt into the well. The donkey of course realised what was going on and began to bellow loudly, but after a while suddenly went quiet.
After a few more shovelfuls, the farmer had to have a look and see why the donkey was quiet. To his amazement, as each shovelful fell onto the donkey, it just shook it off and then stepped onto it. As the farmer and his neighbours continued to shovel dirt into the well, the donkey just kept shaking it off and stepping up. Pretty soon, the donkey reached the top of the well, climbed out and trotted away quite happily.
The moral of this story? Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and use it as a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping and never giving up.

ALWAYS BE PATIENT IN YOUR LIFE
Patience Pays
Patience Pays :
Once, a king had announced that anyone who wanted the post of personal assistant must meet him. Many people gathered in the palace. The king led them to a pond and said, "Whoever will fill this pond's water in this pot will be chosen for the post. But remember, there is a hole in the pot."
So some people left without a single try. While some people tried for once and then said, "The king has already chosen someone else. Let's go."
But one man kept filling the pot with pond water patiently. He filled the water in the pot from the pond and came out on the ground. But always within few moments, the water poured on the ground completely. He tried that uncountable numbers of times. At last the pond became empty. The man found a diamond ring in the empty pond and he gave it to the king. At this the king said, "This ring is a reward for your patience and hard work. You are fit for the job."
So the man confirmed that patience pays. STAY BLESSED AND HAPPY

EXPRESSING GRATITUDE IS A GOOD GESTURE
SO EXPRESS IT FOR EVERYDAY U HAVE
Today I have a short story for you…
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which read, “I am blind, please help.”
There were only a few coins in the hat – spare change from folks as they hurried past.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words.
Then he put the sign back in the boy’s hand so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.
That afternoon, the man who had changed the sign returned to see how things were.
The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”
The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.” I wrote, “Today is a beautiful day, but I cannot see it.”
Both signs spoke the truth. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind, while the second sign conveyed to everyone walking by how grateful they should be to see…
When your life seems full of troubles, it seems difficult to maintain an attitude of gratitude, doesn’t it? All we see are our problems, like a blackened storm cloud casting a dark shadow over our lives.
And the times when everything just seems to be going smoothly? We often take these precious moments for granted too, don’t we? Caught up in the bliss, comfort, and familiarity of it all, we can simply forget to be thankful.
So what, then, is gratitude?
Simply put, gratitude is a habit. It’s a way of looking at the world and all the good things in it with a feeling of appreciation, regardless of whether or not your current situation is to your liking.
Gratitude is a heart-centered approach to being at peace with yourself and with all you have. When you practice this feeling of gratitude, it attracts even MORE things into your life for which to be grateful.

Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor. 16 The woman was very beautiful, a virgin; no man had ever slept with her. She went down to the spring, filled her jar and came up again.
17 The servant hurried to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water from your jar.”
18 “Drink, my lord,” she said, and quickly lowered the jar to her hands and gave him a drink.
19 After she had given him a drink, she said, “I’ll draw water for your camels too, until they have had enough to drink.” 20 So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough, ran back to the well to draw more water, and drew enough for all his camels. 21 Without saying a word, the man watched her closely to learn whether or not the Lord had made his journey successful.
22 When the camels had finished drinking, the man took out a gold nose ring weighing a beka[c] and two gold bracelets weighing ten shekels.[d] 23 Then he asked, “Whose daughter are you? Please tell me, is there room in your father’s house for us to spend the night?”
24 She answered him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, the son that Milkah bore to Nahor.” 25 And she added, “We have plenty of straw and fodder, as well as room for you to spend the night.”
26 Then the man bowed down and worshiped the Lord, 27 saying, “Praise be to the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the Lord has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.”
