Today I have a talented professional as a guest: Oliver Graves. Oliver is referred to as a "goth comedian" because of the extreme contrasts in his clothing and makeup. Oliver is a comic who has given performances at clubs and events all around the country. Oliver's weekly article for the Argus Courier, "Oliver's World," was recognized in 2021 by the esteemed California Journalism Awards. Oliver has participated in a number of stand-up comedy competitions, including the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and The World Series of Comedy. Oliver's stand-up act was approved by each of the four judges on NBC's America's Got Talent, including the notoriously stubborn Simon Cowell. I wanted to understand more about him because he has stated that "he knows he's not the norm" due to his flow and dark side of comedy. So why wait? Welcome to Autism Rocks And Rolls, Mr. Graves!

Lastly, I provide stories when one person's understanding was evident, both with and without me.

I also speak directly to parents, explaining why it’s important not to chastise their child for these behaviors, while still offering practical tips for both parents and individuals with autism on how to handle them in a supportive way.

This realization served as the foundation for her professional work, which seeks to inspire everyone to understand that they are much more than a label. Gab is also a confirmed TikTok maker, with approximately 101K followers and a score in the top 1% globally on the WAIS test of intellect for spatial awareness. It doesn't end there since I also provide advice to children and their parents on what to do if they start to lose patience.

In this episode, I speak about catastrophizing and what this concept is about. I also tell the parents the statements they should and should not say when those on the autism spectrum catastrophize. I even tell the parents some triggers that make those on the spectrum catastrophize. I as well tell the parents what it is like in our brain when we catastrophize. Finally, I do give some help because I give the parents ideas on how to manage the catastrophic thinking.

My fellow professional wrestling friends are in for a treat today as I am accompanied by WWE Hall of Famer Jake The Snake Roberts. Considered by many to be one of the most well-known figures in professional wrestling, Mr. Roberts was well-known for his dark appeal, clever and powerful promos, frequent use of trickery in his matches, and inventive usage of the DDT finisher. His two grandkids have cerebral palsy and autism, which is why he appears on my show. Jake, on the other hand, has a unique story to tell; despite having COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and having experienced drug and child abuse , he continues to live his life. Let's welcome resident snake, Jake The Snake Roberts to Autism Rocks and Rolls.
In this episode, I talk about the nature of humor in people on the autistic spectrum, including the kinds of humor that they find funny and how it might manifest itself in different ways. I also explore the myth that individuals on the spectrum don't find comedy humorous, dispelling it by outlining the motivations for their appreciation of humor. I also discuss the issue of whether it's acceptable to make light of someone who has a disability. I also discuss the problem of people with autism spectrum disorders being thought of as "overly humorous," or "overjoking." I also go into why people on the spectrum can be funny, why they frequently don't think of themselves as funny, and why they prefer to show humor with their body language rather than their words. I wrapped off by talking about how some people find it difficult to grasp humor and provided some recommendations for how people on the spectrum might improve their ability to understand and enjoy jokes and humor.

In this episode, I discuss budgeting and money management for people on the autism spectrum. I'll discuss why I find the currency system perplexing and what, in my opinion, the currency system needs to be. I also go into the reasons why a person with autism would, consciously or unconsciously, refuse to even accept payment as an option. I even chat to the parents about this subject since I discuss the need of early intervention. Lastly, even though I explain why it is difficult for people who are on the autism spectrum, I also offer advice on how they might become financially independent.

The issue of small talk and the way people on the spectrum view it will be covered in this episode. I also talk about the times I tried to strike up a conversation but failed. I additionally address when and how to engage in small talk. I even speak about the dangers that people on the spectrum face when doing small talk. Additionally, I discuss a few of my illogical behaviors and the situations in which they occurred. I further address enhanced reasoning and what parents can do in the event that their child displays it at an inappropriate time. Finally, I talk about "unrealistic but non-harmful solutions." Throughout my lifetime, I've used this to hear the times I did check this episode out.
Today's episode features my man, Kevin Lowe. After meeting him online and at Podfest, I knew he needed to be on my platform because Kevin Lowe, a terrific businessman in his thirties, has taken the world by storm. I say I saw him, but he didn't see me. Despite the seemingly insurmountable hurdle of losing his eyesight in 2003, Kevin is enjoying success as a purpose-driven life coach and the engaging host of the acclaimed podcast Grit, Grace, and Inspiration.

I'm here with Dave White, a past podcast sponsor and owner of Great White Smokes, a food truck and caterer business. Mr. White grew up in Solsberry, Indiana, where he was born. He has worked as a cook in the housing hall kitchens at Indiana University and Abell's Nursery. He describes himself as "a country kid with no internet and at best a cordless phone." He loved being outside with his friends, playing in the creek, and spending time in the woods as long as his parents let him. He began working after graduating from horticultural technology school and continued to work there for the following fifteen years. Throughout the winter, he kept working in kitchens and as a bartender in nightclubs and golf courses. Due to delivery problems, including Down syndrome, his son spent the first 35 days of his child's life in Riley Hospital in 2013. But it didn't stop him from winning the title of best food truck in Indiana in 2021. Please welcome the unselfish one Dave White.

His most well-known piece is Sorting It Out, a one-act play about autism. Broadway has shown two of his works. Although because he was bullied, had ten surgeries, and had to go to the doctor constantly, he has had to deal with some tough moments. This episode's discussion focuses on AuDHD. ADHD may have an impact on those with autism. If someone possesses the autism and ADHD, I explain how they relate to one another. I even discuss the social impacts of the overlap. I also talk about some of the feelings that persons with AuDHD or ADHD can encounter. I also discuss how wrath or illness can heighten ADHD symptoms in persons with AuDHD or ADHD. On the other hand, when I advise young people and adults with AuDHD or ADHD on how to cope with these abilities, I do reassure families of these conditions that their children may have happy lives.

At Clubhouse, I got to meet my friend who is today's guest. His name is Erick Allen, or just EA. EA is a certified counselor for alcohol and drug abuse. His mission in life is to provide mental health and addiction treatment to those in need. He witnessed firsthand the pain his closest relatives endured as a result of alcohol and drug addictions that adversely affected their mental health. He has a great desire to help families because of what his mother taught him. Recently, he published his first book, a journal called Affirmations for Recovery. The goal of this journal is to assist trauma survivors by promoting self-talk exercises. As we welcome the modest EA, to join me.
Grief and bereavement are the main topics of discussion in this episode. I discuss the incomprehensibility of death and its various aspects. I also address why the pain of unexpected (sudden) and expected (anticipated) losses is greater than that of the other. Being an advocate for mental health, I am aware of the impact sorrow may have on the mental well-being to someone on the autism spectrum. I additionally want to discuss with my listeners other grieving topics that people with autism deal with that don't include dying. I additionally cover how it may impact an c person with autism's cognitive abilities as well as their behavior. Nevertheless, I do assist the parents since I provide advice regarding how to deal with the problem for both parents and children with autism.

The idea about reading the room will be covered in this episode. Searching for or figuring out a meaning what is implied or concealed rather than one that is stated clearly is the social skill known as "reading the room." I also discuss how those on the autism spectrum find it more difficult to look around the room when we use figurative language and take things literally. I also speak about why it is challenging to do an examination in a public space with millions of people. I also go into why I think this is the most difficult social skill for someone on the autism spectrum to pick up. I do teach people on the spectrum ways to assist themselves, so it's not all a negative episode.

It may surprise you to hear that in December 2021, she was officially diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder after initially being diagnosed with ADHD. I'll also talk about why stimming—moving—allows us to unwind. I also share with my audience the causes of shutting down or zoning out in people with autism, as well as the triggers for doing so. The amazing Amberley Snyder is the topic of this episode. Amberley is the second of six children born in California. At the age of seven, Amberley's family relocated to Utah, where she quickly became interested in horses and began barrel racing. She competed in junior rodeo events and kept winning throughout her time in high school. In January 2010, Amberley was involved in a rollover vehicle accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. She returned to wearing a seatbelt when she rode in a rodeo after eighteen months. In 2018, Netflix released the film Walk Ride Rodeo, that centers on her life. As a keynote speaker, writer, performer, and competitive barrel racer, Amberley shares her story of overcoming hardship in the hopes of motivating others to believe in yourself and get back on the horse.

Join me as I talk about how game shows helped me when I was young. I also talk about how game show formats helped me feel comfortable. Additionally, I discuss how game shows might assist those with autism in learning to adapt to modifications in their daily lives. I even go into why I would be both a great and terrible game show host. The main event consists of my analogies between autism and the production of a game show, its host, including the actual game show itself.

Plus, I give my justification for why speaking up for yourself is not shameful. In fact, I'll explain why it helps you grow as a person. I also let those on the spectrum know about potential allies. I use advocates for autism as one example. Finally, I explain the importance of speaking up so that you can self-advocate and feel successful.

She brings a unique family perspective to her role as executive director at The Arc of South Carolina as the mom of a child with autism. She places a high value on her work with people who have intellectual and developmental challenges. During her initial years of college, she actively worked with children on the autism spectrum, relieving careers and advocating for support. Additionally, we have a successful Director of Outreach Policy. Danni Bloom, who is originally from the Low Country of South Carolina, has lived all across the state of South Carolina but now calls Chapin her home. Danni has been passionate about The Arc's work since her baby boy, currently two years old, was diagnosed with autism in October 2000. Since Kane, who is in the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021, is my special guest on this episode, you won't want to miss it. He made his debut in 1995 under the moniker "Isaac Yankem, DDS," which was the title of Jerry Lawler's confidential dentist. Shortly after, he started a feud with Bret Hart. Nevertheless, he became a superstar in 1997 at Badd Blood: In Your House, when he caused the Undertaker to lose to Shawn Michaels by interfering in the first-ever Hell In A Cell Match. He has won the Money In The Bank Ladder match, twice held the Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Championship, and even joined Team Hell No since making his debut. He is currently recognized as the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee. Kane is made clear on my show because each of Kane's personas serves as a model of mental health. Dr. Isaac Yankem was a scary dentist, while Kane was a horror movie extension of infernal fire. The concept and persona of the character were inspired by the evil burning acts that his older half-brother, The Undertaker, did when they were children. Kane participated in a match that was created especially for him and was dubbed the "Inferno Match." Kane appears as a guest on my show as well since, in the opinion of many, he is, outside of his wrestling persona, one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. So to avoid getting chokeslammed, let's all save ourselves and welcome Kane, a.k.a. Mayor Glenn Jacobs, to my podcast.
We'll discuss how somebody with autism makes judgments in this episode. I talk about the explanations for why some people have trouble making decisions. I even go so far as to explain why a person with autism would not be able to respond to a decision. I also discuss whether autistic people make emotional decisions based on emotion or rationality. I will also give parents and people with autism suggestions on making decisions.

We are focusing on Ryan Steiner, who was highly recommended to me at a previous networking event, as my new guest for this episode. Ryan lives with autism. He is a husband, a parent, an ultramarathon runner, and a supporter of those with disabilities. The vows doctors told his mother would never come true. Both Ryan and his autistic and cerebral palsy daughter Kala enjoy running. Ryan pushes Kala in a customized racing wheelchair across distances ranging from 5k to 50k (31 miles)! Ryan and Kala are on a mission to encourage and celebrate visibility and inclusion. I couldn't agree more with him when he says that "everyone deserves to feel like they belong. "Let’s all welcome Ryan to Autism Rocks and Rolls.
You guessed it, folks: I have a legendary pro wrestler with me today. We have Buff Bagwell with us. In tag teams, he was paired with individuals like 2 Cold Scorpio and The Patriot when he made his first appearance in 1991 as Marcus Bagwell. He did, however, succeed in 1996 after turning on Scotty Riggs and joining forces with the NWO. Since then, he has faced off in the ring with the best, including Scott Steiner, DDP, and Goldberg. He nevertheless come on my program because, despite the fact that he had a career established, it wasn't without its difficulties. He battled depression and alcoholism, but thanks to DDP and rehab, he is now clean and sober. He remarked, "I've never filled that void with those things before, but now it seems like I fill it with family, God, love, and sobriety." So please join me in sending a hearty welcome to Autism Rocks And Rolls for Buff Bagwell.

This is a special moment for me and Autism Rocks And Rolls because one of my teen heroes is here. The hero I'm referring to is an LGBTQ comedian from America named Brad Loekle. Brad rose to fame as a result of his participation in the humorous reality TV series TruTV Presents World's Dumbest. Viewers of NBC may be familiar with him from Season 9 of Last Comic Standing, where he advanced to the semifinals. Brad has additionally appeared on a number of programs on E!, VH1, MTV, Logo, and various other networks. Radio listeners have heard several of Brad's appearances on The Frank DeCaro Show and his work as a guest co-host on SiriusXM's Morning Jolt with Larry Flick. In front of tens of thousands of viewers in more than 30 countries around the world, Brad has performed on stage alongside Patti Lupone, Sutton Foster, Vanessa Williams, Kathy Griffin, Lea DeLaria, and Leslie Jordan since 2010. I have him on more than just for that reason because he is one of my heroes and also a good person who accepts others. Brad Loekle, welcome to Autism Rocks And Rolls!

Today we have a well-known pro wrestling legend with us. Some of you might know her better as Victoria from WWE or Tara from TNA. She was a bodybuilder and fitness fanatic who had previously captured the women's championship in both organizations, and she dominated pro wrestling as a result. With the help of WWE legend Chyna, she was able to become a two-time WWE women's champion, a five-time TNA women's knockout champion, and even a part of Vince's Devils. She is on my show for a couple of reasons, to be honest. The first reason is because, at one point in her career, while engaged in a rivalry with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, she served as an advocate for mental health by taking on the role of a maniacal, cruel villain. Second, she is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet when she is not in the ring. As I believe, "I think she has this aura about her where you always leave feeling better about yourself after speaking to her." So let's welcome to the program a former bodybuilder, business owner, cheerleader, and WWE legend.
Louis Marinucci is now my most intriguing visitor; he is a man who, to use a metaphor, "lives under the sea." Mr. Marinucci, who is autistic, takes part in aquatic therapy because he enjoys scuba diving and investigating the underwater world. Louis is in the media because, like me, he broadcasts and uploads videos to YouTube. He is also a spokesperson for Diveheart, an organization that teaches kids with disabilities how to take part in diving therapy and other water activities. Since Louis is a merman right now, we are at last making history. I have never before had a merman as a guest on Autism Rocks and Rolls. So let's welcome Louis Marinucci, a kind yet fascinating individual.

Please listen as I describe the idea of planning. Autism spectrum individuals find this challenging because we view it as a strategy where we must consider every element of the time period we are living in. Additionally, I offer advice on how to plan a party or other event appropriately. When it comes to throwing a party, I discuss the steps, but there is more because I address the tendencies and bad habits that a host who is on the spectrum could have. Then I go on to describe how people on the spectrum might either have a schedule, a loose structure, or no structure at all.

This episode highlights several autism clinics in Bloomington, Indiana, as well as one in Oklahoma. The first person on the list is a social worker from Stonebelt named Leah Walden. The non-profit group Stonebelt, which was established in 1958, supports my desire to give voice to individuals like me. Their mission statement states that they "believe in the individuality, value, and right to self-determination of every individual." Our goal is to educate, empower, and support people with developmental disabilities and their families so they can participate fully in community life. Also included is Leslie Lynch from Unlocking the Spectrum. Unlocking The Spectrum was established with the belief that all autistic children should receive the best Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. To ensure that your child reaches their best potential, they take great care. Lori Frederick from the Griffin Promise Autism Clinic is our closing guest. When she extended me the chance to speak at her assembly, that's when I first learned about them. The Griffin Promise Autism Clinic in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, is run by Lori Frederick. Griffin, who has autism, is also her kiddo. Lori has a doctorate in organizational psychology and is a board- certified expert in cognitive and autistic issues. Lori is extremely passionate about leading caregivers through their expeditions with autism and catching on brand-new, gashing- edge approaches to compound our neurodiversity and professional neighborhoods. Give these people a hearty greeting to Autism Rocks and Rolls, if you could each help me.

This episode's theme will be good table etiquette. I discuss the importance of table etiquette to one's character during the episode. Also, because autism is looked at as a neurological disorder, I bring up the concern of how table manners may be impacted. Also, I discuss the red zone and why it is inappropriate to utilize it, as well as the green and yellow zones and why they are acceptable. Even when a child on the autism spectrum is non-speaking, I discuss how it is still possible to enjoy a good family supper. I conclude by expressing my views on which table manners are important and unnecessary.

I examine why it can often be challenging to relate with someone who has autism in this episode. I also discuss how we use "tough love" to show empathy. This episode goes so far as to explain why it is tough for us and why it is frightening to accomplish. In order to make up for my lack of empathy, I'll also describe how I show true compassion. Even further, I use an example of how a relationship might succeed in the presence of compassion but not empathy.

Since I'm accompanied by semi-finalist from the prior season of America's Got Talent, everyone will appreciate this episode. When she was ten years old, she started having issues with her speech. She was an outgoing youngster who subsequently developed into a very timid and insecure adult. Amanda picked up the guitar and started to play her way out. Soon after, she started singing. In the seventh grade, she then joined the worship band at her school. A year later, she joined the worship band at her church. Amanda experienced confusion and self-doubt as she grew older. Because she was embarrassed by the way she spoke, Amanda claimed that she felt her voice didn't matter. As a result, she had a hectic and miserable summer. The difficulties Amanda experienced inspired her to write songs that examine the nature of humanity. She is right in saying that everyone faces challenges in life. So now we know why Simon Cowell called Amanda Mammana "wonderful," let's all welcome her to Autism Rocks And Rolls.

Join me as I interview my amazing uncle, Mike Crull. Mike is a great guy who is a devoted husband, a proud father of three kids, and a brand-new grandpa to a young child. Mike, though, has supported me from the beginning. He is the one who has your back and is continually interested in what others are doing, despite his tendency to be quiet and reserved. More is spoken regarding Uncle Mike's tolerance of others, especially his propensity to categorize people based on their characteristics.
In this episode, I discuss the silent aspects of communication and the reasons why people with autism find them challenging. I also talk about the idea of "reading the room" and why some people with autism aren't able to do it cognitively, but I also talk to people who can (mostly high functioning). I do, however, offer recommendations and fixes. Additionally, when nonverbal clues like eye contact and body language are employed in place of spoken communication, I experience misunderstandings between two persons. So together let's hear me describe non-speaking communication and how those on the spectrum grasp true communication.

Ben Waites, a competitor from America's Got Talent Season 17 (2022), is our guest today. Ben was born with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, which required him to use a wheelchair. Despite this, he has never encountered a challenge he couldn't overcome. Jim Waites, Ben's grandfather, led him to faith at a young age, introduced him to the sounds of Southern gospel. Since then, Ben's music has been described as "blues meets jazz meets southern gospel." His sincere delivery and powerful vocals enthrall audiences around. Fans often describe Ben's music as "anointed worship" that "draws the Holy Spirit." So let's give Ben Waites a hearty welcome to Autism Rocks and Rolls.

This episode is absolutely fantastic since Rich Beddoe is in it. Beddoe is presently performing with the band No Resolve after formerly playing drums for the bands Finger Eleven and Saint Asonia. Rich visits my program to talk about his struggles with alcoholism and bipolar disorder. According to Mr. Beddoe, the man allegedly said, "I have been an alcoholic my entire life." His roles as a husband and friend are the most significant. He has numerous of his own kids as well. Did I mention that he is the stepfather of an autistic stepson? So let's welcome drummer Rich Beddoe to Autism Rocks And Rolls.
In this episode, I talk about the arcade and why it's a fantastic location to "test the waters out." Additionally, I attempt to communicate with the parents, informing them when to let the child be free and when they should intercede. I also mention the incentives in the arcade that capture autistic people's attention. Not only that, but I also make connections between autism and a few vintage and modern arcade games. This is the one that thinks outside the box. So listen to it to discover my own insight on Autism Rocks and Rolls

"When I arrived in Hell's Kitchen, my goal was to create some passion and some art." The whole time I was here, I tried to stay true to myself. This is what the amazing executive chef, Tommy Stevens, said. This is relevant because today I interview former Hell's Kitchen competitor and Cutthroat Kitchen champion Tommy Stevens. Mr. Stevens was not only born in Connecticut, but he was also born into the cooking business. In his mid-20s, he started to investigate it more, delving into food and culinary studies. He was appointed executive chef of Iron and Wine in Patterson, New York, in 2017. He appears on my show because, despite going through some difficult circumstances in Hell's Kitchen, he remained true to himself and had a positive attitude. Tommy also adheres to the notion of kindness, with which ARAR not only concurs but actively promotes. So the way I see it, we are both rock stars, and I only see it as fair that we hear what the rock star host Sam Mitchell and the rock star guest Tommy Stevens have to say.
Come along as we chat with the wonderful Grandma Alice. I now better understand who I am thanks to this woman. She has accepted my autism and given me what I wanted—to be treated equally with everyone else. Grandma Alice has studied autism and is also quite knowledgeable about it. This grandma is also highly "gifting," as she enjoys giving gifts to people in need, whether they are members of her family or the community at large, even though she is not required to. On Autism Rocks And Rolls, let's listen to Grandma Alice's stories as a group.

This episode is a celebration and those who accept the autism spectrum are invited. At this party we have a special guest his name is Adam Wheeler. Adam Wheeler has resided in Bloomington his entire life and is a B.S. in Recreational Therapy and M.A. in Speech and Language Sciences graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington. Currently, he works as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) at Clear Creek Elementary School and works as the foundation's treasurer (MCAF). Adam developed an early and natural awareness of autism as a result of growing up in a family that was neurodiverse in every way. After years of misconceptions and incorrect diagnoses, his late father, Philip, received an adult autism diagnosis. Adam's comprehension and awareness of autistic persons and their needs were greatly influenced by Phil's experience and advice. Since Adam's older brother has autism as well, they have had to develop special routines and methods of communication. Adam even frequently plans playgroups for the families he served, a talent he has continued to hone. An adult just serves as a connection point, skill model, and mediator to foster empathy and understanding in these entirely kid-led gatherings. Even while some other STEM activities and board games are employed, current groups tend to focus on LEGO activities . Adam established his own LLC, Celebrating the Spectrum, to further his goal of providing satisfying, effective, and profoundly respectful care for people with autism throughout their lives.

In this episode, we have many elderly tribes or parents on Autism Rocks And Rolls. All these parents either have a child who is on the spectrum or has a child with a physical defect. However these parents tell how their child has overcame their issues and how they are being successful today. Who does the list entail? I will be telling you all with bullet points.

"I want to help these children create a legacy." That is what the stunning and sweet Tamika Lamison said, and she is because, in 2006, she created The Make A Film Foundation. The Make A Film Foundation helps children with life-threatening conditions and illnesses create movies by connecting famous actors such as JK Simmons and Johnny Depp with producers and directors. Tamika started this because of her inspiration from the Make A Wish Foundation, and since she started, she has also grown because Tamika is a postgraduate from Howard University and is the executive director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commercial Director's Diversity Program, which allows children with severe conditions to make commercials. She is also the senior vice president of development and production at PhilmCo. The cool part is that it all began with her roots in theater and her first script, called "The Jar by the Door." Let's all hear from this amazing woman and what she has to say.

In this episode, I discuss the hard work of punishing someone on the autism spectrum or anyone with a condition. It is hard to do, but it has to be done because no one is excused from consequences. Although someone might be lost, do not worry because I want to help by stating the types of methods and tricks everyone can use. I also share the steps of discipling someone with a condition while sharing my personal discipline beliefs. For example, while I do believe that working does build character, I do not believe in spanking. I am leaving this as a cliffhanger because if you want to learn why I have this old school belief but also this modern parenting belief, you will have to check out this episode of Autism Rocks and Rolls.

In this episode, we have three people together, each of whom has a business in the autism field. First, Isabella Johnston. Isabella is a serial entrepreneur specializing in diversity, equality and inclusion, multidimensional learning, peer and reverse mentoring, and organizational improvement. She leads Employers 4 Change. Employers 4 Change is software that provides recruitment DEI skills and cognitive skills development to employers and their interns. Next is Frank Mallatt. His non-profit organization is called his Critters 4 Service. With the help of donations and volunteers, Critters 4 Service provides assistance dogs for autism, special needs, and veterans. Finally, we have Rob Hoades. Rob Hodes grew up in Long Island, New York and had undiagnosed autism. His organization is called his Autism Gifts. The goal of Autism Gifts is to help people on the autism spectrum take strategic actions to achieve their goals and dreams, use their unique gifts, and authentically share their stories of life and society. It is to inspire people to avoid being labeled negatively. Let's all hear together and hear what they are all doing together for their own autism community.

Join me as we talk to not one, not two, not three, but four people who I met at The 1 in 44 Tour and a local pro wrestling show that I commented on. First we have Jeff Snyder Mr. Snyder was born on March 27, 1989, in Rhode Island, but has lived most of his life in Massachusetts. In 1990, Jeff was diagnosed with autism and has since achieved numerous successes in independent living as well as speaking engagements and panels. Second, we have Ron Sandison. Ron is an autism advocate who is a professor of theology and is the proud author of A Parents' Guide To Autism: Practical Advice And Biblical Wisdom. Third, we have Sage Phillips. Known as "The Ring Wizard," Mr. Phillips has used professional wrestling in his life to help him battle his biggest fight, and it is not in the ring but out of the ring because he is talking about his autism. However, he has used pro wrestling as a guide and an outlet. Finally, we have TY-Ice (Tyce Nicholas). Born in Rushville, Indiana and weighing in at 246 lbs., he was diagnosed with autism at 3 and has loved wrestling since 10. He also uses professional wrestling to help him with his battles in and out of the ring. Check out these amazing people on this episode of Autism Rocks and Rolls.
Join me as I discuss the elements of autism and mental health in the video games Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Redemption. This is not for the faint of heart because, like John Marston and Arthur Morgan, we need to be ready to be brave and have the courage to hear about the black and white thinking and the amazing employability skills for those on the autism spectrum. While you may have to hear our host talk about "not having any light at the end of the tunnel," We will hear about those with a condition turning a 180 to make the world a better place and how our talents can take us places. So let's saddle our horses like the characters in the video game would and let's ride not into the sunset but into the episode.

In this episode, we talk to the stunning and amazing 20-year old musician Maia Zakay. After finding her on Facebook and learning about her work, I knew she had to be on. Maia is an R&B pop singer who also happens to be a mental health advocate. As she has stated, "My purpose is to help my listeners feel less alone in the difficult times we go through in life." She is also a model and a future movie actress who will act in action and romance-comedy movies. This episode is also history because Maia Zakay was my first-ever live performer on Autism Rocks and Rolls. That is not all, because last year she won the 2021 Hollywood Music In Media with her hit single "Keep Me Waiting." So please help me welcome the accomplished protégé, Maia Zakay.

Just because you have a diagnosis doesn’t mean you aren’t smart, talented, and capable of great things; it does mean you are unique, different, and cool! Those are the words of the amazing Jacob Velazquez, who I talked to today. This amazing 14-year old lives with PDDNOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Specified), which is a form of autism, but it does not bring him down because he performed on the 15th (2020) Season of America's Got Talent. While on the show, Simon Cowell stated, "You just have this amazing aura about you." I think that you’re going to inspire lots of people. Even though he had to withdraw from the show, Simon’s prediction was correct because he has appeared on shows such as Good Morning America, The View, and The Steve Harvey Show, and has been on the front of the Sun Sentinel newspaper. That is not all because the one and only pop star, Taylor Swift, endorsed his music by stating that the music he played was "beautiful." Let's welcome not only my youngest guest but his wisdom, which will be music to your ears.

In this episode I talk about why those on the spectrum have a shorter temper than others. It might be worse than ordinary anger issues because I might as well mention the violent and destructive outbursts that autistic people can possibly have. While it is hard to manage, from personal experience, I will say it is manageable and that is what I also talk about. Finally, I even go further in depth and talk about what we are thinking during our anger fits.

In this episode, I talked to retired MMA fighter and pro wrestler Daniel Puder. Daniel has a record of 8 wins to 0 losses. Although he shares his accomplishments with us on Autism Rocks And Rolls, he shares how he got there because throughout his life he got bullied. As he said himself, "I was the kid that would get picked last to join a team and was picked on and bullied daily by other kids in my class because I had a learning disorder." I couldn't read very well and had to go to different rooms to take my tests. The good news is he got through it because he runs many charter schools and, like me, he has a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization, MLMP (My Life My Power), that is helping so many others out there.

How do you sell yourself as a person or as a businessman or woman? That question will be answered because I interviewed Forbes Riley, AKA The Pitching Queen. I met her virtually at a virtual summit and in person at a podcast convention in Orlando, Florida. The reason why I had to have her on the show is that she is a motivational speaker and I was moved by not only her business tips but I was also moved by her life. The woman you will hear is not the same in 1968. As she said, "I was a shy and awkward kid with a tongue twister who had a tough time fitting in." Let's all hear how she went from a shy kid to a queen.

In this episode, I talk about the feeling of not just burnout when you get exhausted with a hobby but autistic burnout. The basic definition is that those who have autism are burnt out as they feel like they are missing out on basic life skills such as cooking and driving. However, I am here to spread some courage and inspiration because while they might miss those chances, aspies can show vindication by having advanced skills that do not come easily to others. Take a listen to a truthful and appealing Autism Rocks and Rolls episode.

In this episode, we talk to famous comedian Judy Gold. Judy started comedy in 1986 and has not stopped people from laughing. She has made appearances on shows such as The Late Night Show With Stephen Colbert and TruTV's World's Dumbest. Although she is funny, there is a serious side to her because she has anxiety and depression along with ADHD. Plus, Judy has even been bullied for her height. Despite all of this, she is one successful and funny woman. So I encourage you to tune in to hear Judy's wise words and jokes.

What about me? What about Raven? That is what we learn about today because for this episode we interview professional wrestler Raven. Raven is a 2-time ECW Champion and a 27-time Hardcore Champion. He has wrestled in wrestling promotions like TNA, WCW, ECW, and yes, WWE. Raven's character did not only represent mental health, but Raven represents mental health in real life too, because he has HPD (Histrionic personality disorder) and NPD (narcissistic personality disorder), along with having type 2 diabetes. Even though Raven has these challenges, he still lives life to its fullest. Let's learn how Raven does that on Autism Rocks And Rolls.
On this episode, we talk to Miyah Sundermeyer. I was on her podcast called "Hello With World With Miyah Sundermeyer" and I believe that I should return the favor. However, I did not only want her to return the favor. I also wanted her on Autism Rocks and Rolls because she, like me, is autistic and is friends with Temple Grandin. Mrs. Sundermeyer is also a leader because she works with the Autism Plan in Georgia. Let's hear Miyah's wisdom and story on Autism Rocks and Rolls together.
Join me as we learn about how people on the autism spectrum make their mark with their blueprint. A clue is that we tap into their skills and allow autistic people to practice them every day. This has resonated with your host because he has been what society calls "obsessed" about certain concepts, and in this episode, everyone will also learn how to join them in the concept but also cope with our obsessing for our sanity.

In this episode, we take a different turn on Autism Rocks and Rolls because we meet Sonny Von Cleveland, who has so much respect for the disability community. However, he also has a story because, from the age of 5 to 10, he was sexually assaulted by four men. There is more because he also served 18 years in prison, but after meeting a man while in solitary confinement, he changed his ways by having a wife, starting a YouTube channel, being a motivational speaker, starting a cat café called Frisky Business, and being an ambassador for Boo2Bullying. Let's listen to this example of how someone can change their way of life.

In this episode, we make history because for the first time on Autism Rocks and Rolls, we interview a play therapist. The play therapist I will be interviewing is Jack Mason Goodall, who not only loves Disney but I met just in February through a speaking gig in Oklahoma. Goodall runs Autism Optimism International in England, which is a therapy place that tries to bring the best out of someone on the spectrum since 2009. Join me as we hear not only what a play therapist is, but how Autism Optimism International is truly changing lives.

In this episode we do something a little on the unique side because it is not a podcast crossover but instead we do an interview with a podcast. Autism Rocks And Rolls interviews TWS Sports Podcast. In the TWS Sports Podcast that is hosted by Adam Millichip and several of his students that are on the spectrum. Not only have they interviewed great guest such as Matthew Hayden and Rob Key but they also get to work on their communication and reading skills through this podcast. They even got nominated for The Best Sports Podcast of 2022. So let's listen the different ways Adam and his students understand each other.

I"M BACK! The reason why I am saying this is that I have returned for a brand new season. In this episode, we learn what I have done during my time-off and what this season will hopefully be like. Also, I will hype up my season by stating how this season of Autism Rocks and Rolls will be the best one. That is not all, because for the first time in Autism Rocks and Rolls, I tried spoken word by stating inspiring wisdom and facts.
THANK YOU! The reason why I say these two words is this is the last episode of the season because we are joined by my critiquer Joe Pursell and myself along with my editor Gina Mitchell to talk about my whole podcast in depth. It has for sure been the most amazing part of my life. When I was down this is all I wanted to do. Understand that Autism Rocks And Rolls is not dead because I am coming back for a season 2 and I will still be spreading autism acceptance along with following my mission every day. Once again thank you and as Arnold Schwarzenegger would say " I'LL BE BACK!
In this episode, we interview the one-of-a-kind professional wrestler Rob Van Dam, also known as RVD. Rob Van Dam has been able to call ECW and WWE home. I admire this man because he has had many concussions throughout his career, but he still kept going. That is not all. We will also meet his lovely wife, Mrs. Katie Forbes. Forbes has also been a professional wrestler, but she, like her husband, wrestled in Impact Wrestling too. Enjoy hearing RVD and Katie Forbes' hardcore words of wisdom.
On this episode, we hear how autism really does "rock and roll" because we will hear comparisons on how certain rock songs and lines are related to the autism and the mental health world. That is not all folks because some of the wisdom you might hear from the host is for everybody, as you can take some of the advice too. Enjoy!

Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the main event. The contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a tag team match where I and autism team up to battle to fight the stigma and the big bully. In this last episode of the WWE Special, I talk about how the stigma enters the professional wrestling world to not just hurt us but also help us at some point. WELCOME TO Monday NIGHT RAW! That is probably what you are thinking since today is Monday but it is not. It is official welcome to the WWE Special For AUTISM ROCKS AND ROLLS! It is special because this is the first part of four WWE Specials in Autism Rocks And Rolls. In the first chapter of this special, we discuss the basics of professional wrestling and how the main parts of professional wrestling can be similar to autism. Listen to see why I think professional wrestling and WWE are on the spectrum.

What does everybody want? That is the big question of the day because this episode is all about WWE hardcore wrestler Al Snow. He is also the first guest who wanted to be on my show and he put himself on the list to be. In his time in WWE his character represented mental health but he is also an inspiration to many of his adoring fans. Everyone can hear from the hero and the 6 time WWE Hardcore Champion as he thinks we all have our crosses to bare.
Join me as we talk to Lonnie Bedwell. This guy is one of my closest friends, and he is someone I really respect. The first time I met Mr. Lonnie Bedwell was through my mother, who has been asking him to speak to her classes for several years. Lonnie's resume includes kayaking the Grand Canyon twice, appearing on the Steve Harvey Show, NBC's Today Show, Bobby Bones, being covered by local media numerous times, and having several speaking engagements throughout the year. Lonnie hunts, keeps his home and yard, works, has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, teaches kayaking, and has touched the lives of millions of people who have interacted with him or watched from afar as he conquers the world. Lonnie is the father of three adult daughters and has several grandchildren. Did I mention that he is blind? Despite this, he has accomplished much. He lost his vision several years ago in a hunting accident, but he never gave up and never lost his sight. He also served in the Navy, so we certainly appreciate his service. I am sure that when people think of Lonnie Bedwell, they think of the following: motivator, hero, go-getter, hard worker, dancer, and someone who never gives up.

On this episode, I elaborate on why someone with any disability has to fight ten times harder to get over a sickness and I talk about the actual definition of physical and mental health. This episode will mention how we can become creative with the ways in which we handle a simple cold or flu symptom. The reason why we struggle is because we have an overload of neurological sensory issues. People that are on the spectrum will understand that this is something else that is added to our plate.
