Hey friend-
I haven't put out a podcast in a long time and I thought this chapter of podcasting was over because they take so much time.
But sometimes we neeed to clear our mind and ask if we can do things differently. And that is where this podcast idea was born.
I want to put out mini episodes, like you and I are chatting on Voxer. They will be short and sweet (15-25 minutes) and will allow me to go into a little more details versus IG stories. And you can listen on your phone anywhere and play it on 1.25x speed.
Let me know what you think and what topics you want me to share about simplifying your health!

Having good blood sugar balance is so important for our health. Balancing my blood sugar is something I have been working on for the last 6 months to a year. Now that I know my blood sugar better, I have seen improvements in my health and sleep. I wish I would have done more to balance my blood sugar earlier in my health journey.
I have used the traditional finger prick method for testing blood sugar and recommend it. I had the opportunity to try out a continuous monitor and it was so interesting to collect that data and compare to the finger prick method. I do want to clarify, when we talk about blood sugar, we are not talking about diabetes. Your body can need more blood sugar balance without any symptoms of diabetes. We are looking at functional levels of blood glucose.
Living a healthy or holistic lifestyle can be overwhelming. There is so many things you can implement and try and it is easy to feel like everyone else has it more figured out than you do. But that is simply not true! I am not perfect when it comes to living this way but I have learned so much over the last decade.
In this episode, I want to share 10 things I wish I would have know when I first started living this healthy lifestyle. I have learned a lot along the way and made some mistakes but those mistakes taught me things and got me to where I am today. I hope this episode is helpful to you in your healthy living journey and that you can avoid some of the mistakes that I made along the way.
You have tested your home and have found mold. Now what? You need to have the mold properly remediated. Finding someone who knows how to do this properly is easier said than done.
Many professionals claim to be able to remediate mold but not many can do it properly. There are specific steps and processes that need to happen to throughly and properly remediate mold in your home.
In this episode, I brought in the expert in mold remediation, Michael Rubino. Michael is an air quality remediation specialist and a renowned leader in the mold and remediation space. He is the president of HomeCleanse and Author of The Mold Medic: An Expert's Guide on Mold Removal. He is also a council-certified Mold Remediator by IICRC and ACAC and a contributing member, sponsor, and speaker for the Indoor Air Quality Association.

Living in a home that could be making you sick is a reality for a lot of people. It happened to me when we moved to our current house. My symptoms flared and my health crashed. Only to find out that a bacteria from our sump pump was making me sick. Listen more about that here.
Through my experience, I learned a lot about testing your house for mold and mycotoxins and what to look for. But I don't know it all. I brought in an expert in the field to interview today to give you a deep dive into testing your home to see if your home could be making you sick.
Brian Karr is a second generation indoor environmental consultant. He specializes in working with hypersensitive individuals with complex medical conditions. He knows how to test and remediate mold and mycotoxins in your home.

I know so many of you are you like me. Many of you are walking through chronic illness and working on your healing naturally. I know many of you are also like me in the areas of being a stay at home mom, work from home mom or homeschooling mom. In this episode, I am giving you a look into what my days look like as I heal my body and hold many titles. Spoiler alert, I don't do it all by myself!
If you have been living with chronic illness or symptoms it is likely that you have heard "It's all in your head" from a doctor before. If you have heard this, I know that you are not making this up. Doctors are often times will say this because what you are describing doesn't fit in their diagnosis box or have they don't have a pharmaceutical to fix it.
We are going to dive deep into your brain and nervous system and how interconnected everything is. We are also going to look to the Bible. The Lord give us wisdom when it comes to our health in the Bible.
In this episode, I am interviewing Jennie Hoglund about Homeopathy. Jennie is a graduate of the 4-year Classical Homeopathy training program at Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy in Minneapolis, MN, and is now a classroom teacher and clinic supervisor at NAH. She is also an Integrative Provider with Pregnancy and Postpartum Support MN, and has a special interest in clients with postpartum mood disorders. Additionally, Jennie holds the CCH credential (Certified Classical Homeopath) through the Council for Homeopathic Certification, a national organization.
Homeopathy is something I have used a little bit in our home and something I have always wanted to be more knowledgeable about. Homeopathy is something that comes under the umbrella of holistic or natural. As a chiropractor, we didn't have specific training in homeopathy.
Homeopathy involves using diluted doses of natural substances to stimulate a healing response in the body. The word homeopathy means like cures like. There are over 5000 homeopathic remedies. Listen to learn more about how to start using homeopathies in your home.
The healthcare system today primarily looks at and treats symptoms. They never ask the questions to dig deeper to figure out the most fundamental cause of symptoms or illness. It is just bandaid fix after bandaid fix without actually getting to the root cause of the problem. You won't be able to heal unless you get to the root of the problem.
In healing, we want to dig deep and ask why to get to the root cause of our symptoms. If we can heal the foundation, that will help the symptoms to go away. We want to pull back the onion. Keep asking "Why?" And truly find the source of our symptoms.
I hope this episode is encouraging to you to get to the root cause of your symptoms. Keep asking "why?".
In today's culture we hear conflicting information on how we should be eating. We hear this diet or that diet is superior and will help you achieve all your health goals. Then on the other side we hear the opposite. That you don't need a particular diet to be healthy. And you can be healthy at any size.
This just leads to an unhealthy mindset around food. Food is good and so nourishing for your body. It is important to have a good mindset around food. You can decide to eat well and it doesn't have to be linked to a particular diet. Listening to your body and knowing your current physiology is important when it comes to diet.
I believe that food freedom is so important and can drive health. I hope this episode is encouraging to you wherever your are in your health journey.
When you think your house may have mold, it can be overwhelming to figure out how to test. I get it! I was there in the last year trying to figure out why my house was making me feel so sick.
In this episode, you will hear about ways to look for mold in your house and how to test your house for mold. Then once you know if mold is an issue or not, how to start the remediation process and well trained experts who can help you.
With mold, it is so important to find someone who will properly remediate the mold. Most remediation experts won't properly get rid of the mold and will instead use the kill and encapsulate method. This method can help but don't fully get rid of the problem.

Are you constantly stressed?
Kristen Bowen, mother to six, and grandmother to seven, is no stranger to taking care of others, but taking care of herself wasn’t always at the top of her list. A traumatic surgery and raising teenagers changed all that. Suddenly she realized that self-care is vital to being able to care for others.
Kristen joins us today to share her story and one of the keys to her healing. She is talking about the importance of magnesium, and how it has played a pivotal role in her life since she was introduced to the idea of soaking in it. Kristen has even shared a generous coupon with our listeners so you can experience the magnificent benefits for yourself!
Did you know that the mold from that same water leak can wreak havoc on your body as well?
The symptoms are largely general and could be attributed to many other things, or worse yet, make you feel as though you’re crazy when trying to find the source of why you feel so out of sorts.
Join us as we discuss common sources of mold, the signs & symptoms of mold exposure, and how to test for mold in your home with Dr. Ann Barter, a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner.
I’m so excited to share my conversation with Dr. Ashley Turner because we are digging into how stewardship and healthy living go hand in hand. Dr. Ashley started out as an elementary education teacher, but quickly found a passion in natural health and functional medicine as her family endured trial after trial in their health. She shares their journey, discovering their daughters suffered from PANDAS and PANS syndromes, and how their decision for stewardship of their body and home has brought healing.
As we all know, I’m a big fan of healthy living, and today we are getting to talk about another thing I love, cereal! After Margaret Wishigrad and her husband had their son, they were researching finger food for him, and realized that there wasn’t a cereal on the market they were comfortable giving him. They set out to change that, and Three Wishes Cereal was born!
How are you prioritizing your health in a positive way?

Electro Magnetic Frequency (EMF) or Electro Magnetic Radiation (EMR) are all around us and figuring out how to reduce our exposure to them can seem overwhelming. Since we can’t see EMFs, we tend to do nothing to shield ourselves from them, when in reality, there’s a lot we can do. I’m offering some practical tips that you can start today in your home to reduce your EMF exposure and help protect your family. There is biological evidence that EMFs can cause or be a contributing factor to decreasing your immune functions, stress functions, ADHD, fertility, DNA damage and much more. With EMFs being everywhere you look, from wifi in a bus to bluetooth everything, it’s important that you are armed with power and are educated in what you can do to protect yourself. The more you can do to take a burden off your body, so you don’t feel so bogged down by interference, the better it is.

In today’s day and age we are dealing with greater exposure to toxins than ever before, in everything from what we’re putting into our bodies, onto our bodies, and surrounding our bodies with environmentally.
The result? A huge increase in seemingly unexplainable symptoms that many people just don’t know what to do with.
In this episode I’m going to break down in super simple terms how toxicity affects us all, how to determine if the symptoms you’re dealing with may be due to toxic overexposure, and what exactly you can do to begin your healing journey and start feeling better.

You are truly in for a treat with this episode as I am joined by my good friend and colleague Dr. Elizabeth Berg to discuss all things breastfeeding!
Recently on Instagram I asked what pregnancy and baby-related topics you most wanted me to address on the podcast, and breastfeeding was hands down the most suggested topic.
It makes sense...breastfeeding is something women were created to do as mothers, but that doesn't mean the road to figuring it out and making it work is an easy one (or even possible for everyone!)
In this episode Dr. Elizabeth and I are answering your questions and giving you some really practical tips to help you better prepare for your breastfeeding journey.

Around the world, the postpartum period is considered to be a sacred and special time during which a mother is born, as well as her baby.
Many cultures have special practices and customs that serve to recognize and honor this special time, and women aren’t expected to “bounce back” or jump right back into their usual lives.
In the US though, we have a long way to go, which is why I’m sopassionate about sharing the practical, quick tips that I personally found to be the most helpful or surprising, to help you feel more prepared for postpartum.
My hope is that these tips will help you set realistic, healthy expectations for what your postpartum recovery and transition period should look like (otherwise known as the 4th trimester!) so you can prepare in advance to take good care of both your baby, andyourself.

In this episode I’m joined by Sarah Clark, a certified life and health coach, author Fabulously Fertile, the Fabulously Fertile Cookbook, and the Fertility Preparation Program, and host of the Get Pregnant Naturally podcast.
We are digging deep into the topic of women’s fertility and discussing how women can take a natural, holistic approach in healing and preparing their bodies for healthy pregnancy.
When Sarah Clark was 28 years old, she received a diagnosis of premature ovarian failure, accepted this diagnosis and had both her children through in vitro fertilization.
Years later she realized the root cause of her infertility was a food intolerance, which has led to her passion for educating and supporting couples in getting functional lab testing and making diet and lifestyle changes that can dramatically improve the chances of a healthy pregnancy and baby by reversing infertility.
I hope this episode will be a great, value-packed resource and really encourage you wherever you’re at in your fertility journey.

Living in today's fast-paced culture where we are bombarded with a million different options, opportunities, and decisions to make each day, it can be hard to find a good balance between saying YES to the life we want, without running ourselves ragged.
In this episode I'm sitting down to chat with Rachel Green, a city girl turned farmer's wife who has grown to love and cherish slow living, abut how we can find balance in the busy and create lives we love.

Through intentional business development, valuable education and resources, and a place of community, she is wholeheartedly devoted to giving women that dream and helping them pursue their passions.
She doesn't claim to have it all figured out - she's in the middle of it, just like you! But she strives to live her life for what really matters and take time to enjoy each day as it comes.
As a small business owner, wife and mother, she knows firsthand that it's hard to draw the line between our work and the rest of our lives. But, she believe that we can.

On this episode of Ask Dr. Meghan I am unpacking a big question. Elizabeth is basically asking what is the difference between Candida, parasites, SIBO, and gut dysbiosis.
Whew! It's a great question and one I am not really going to be able to answer because every body is so very different and requires an individualized treatment plan.
Yeast overgrowth treatment fact vs fiction. Same for SIBO, gut dysbiosis, or maybe compare/contrast these conditions. There's so much conflicting info out there, it can be overwhelming. -Elizabeth

When you put on your makeup or wash your hair, are you looking at the ingredients to see what you are putting in your body? Our skin is our largest organ, so when you use unsafe products, it is going right into you!
Today I have Kate Criswell on the podcast! Kate has been with Beautycounter for the last few years and is an abundance of knowledge when it comes to safe skincare and makeup. We are talking all about safe skincare and focusing on Beautycounter and why this company is so amazing!
Check out this week's episode and the show notes for how to be safe when it comes to caring for your skin.
So many people think that a calorie is just a calorie, but it's not as simple as that. God made your body to be a science factory and you should be supplying that factory with nutrient dense food!
Today on the podcast I am NOT going to be telling you how many calories you should be eating. Nope. This episode I am going to tell you about what calories are and how they work in our bodies.
This may be a repeat for those of you who know all about gluten. However, if you have not done a lot of research about gluten and going gluten free, then this will be the podcast episode for you!
As you will hear when you listen, gluten is a group of proteins in certain grains. It is also the cause of many, many reactions, including come autoimmune diseases, decreased brain functions, and also skin problems.
I don't follow many food rules, but this one I recommend 100%! Check out this week's episode and let me know what you think. If you have questions, email me or hop into the Just Enjoy Health Facebook Group and ask your questions!
When we think of food, it can be scary to think that there are foods we are eating that help cause chronic inflammation and cancers.
Did you know that chronic inflammation can be something as simple as a sore throat all the way to depression or an autoimmune disease?
Did you know that on 5-10% of cancers are related to genes?
This means that there are things we need to do to heal our bodies and tools/systems we need to develop to help fight mutated cells and hormones.
Today, I have Kim Maravich joining me to talk all about these foods and foods that can help PREVENT inflammation and cancer. I am so excited to have her on because she is just a wealth of knowledge on the topic. Check out the episode below! (Keep a pen and paper handy; there's so many golden nuggets!)
Hello sweet friends! I am so excited to be back with the latest "Ask Dr. Meghan." This week I am answering and unpacking these questions from my listeners like YOU...
Have you ever written anything up pertaining to the food pouches you do for your little one? I have two young children (2.5 and 10 months) and would be very interested to hear any food combinations or recommendations you have. -Amber
Can you talk about the benefits and usage of MCT oil? -Betty
If you have questions that you would like answered on the podcast, just email me or ask in the Just Enjoy Health Facebook Group to get on the next one!
I was a little nervous to interview Dr. Libby. Not because I didn't want to talk to her, but I really wanted this podcast to encompass all I've learned and she teaches about EMFs. This means a lot to me and I really think we were able to get the job done. I think this podcast could be your one stop shop for what to do to protect yourself and your family from EMFs.
In the podcast we walk through a few areas in our home and what to do and how to reduce EMF exposure:
- Computers
- Cell Phone/ Tablets (and making them kid friendly)
- Watches
- Smart TV's and wired home
- Smart TV's
- Dirty Electricity
- In home EMF Testing

Weight loss is something that is on a lot of people's "to-do" list. We all want to feel our best and want to be the weight we feel we should be at our healthiest. However, weight loss can be frustrating! We are bombarded by all sorts of ads and articles about diets, cleanses, pills, potions and lotions all guaranteeing to help you drop pounds (and often times all to quickly and not in a healthy way).
Are you frustrated? Are you feeling like you’re at the end of your rope? Do you try “everything” and still feel like the scale doesn’t budge?
GUESS WHAT? YOU’RE NOT ALONE AND IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT!
Join me in this episode as I talk all about the different reasons as to why you might not be losing the weight you want.
I'm going to be BOLD... I believe that it is important to invest in your health. And this episode we aren't going to talk about investing time. We are going to talk about investing MONEY.
Yep, this is a big doozy of a podcast season finale. I'm talking money and health and why YES... you should spend money on it.
This week I am talking about five main points:
I don't want you to feel bad about the decisions you have made in the past. Your body is an amazing thing and if you start investing in your health now, who knows what kind of illnesses and ailments you will be preventing!
We will be back in a few weeks! If you have any topics you are dying to know about, message me and I would love to include them!
Okay, my friends... It has taken me 59 episodes to get here, but I finally did it! Chiropractic care is my absolute passion and I get asked questions all the time about it.
I am a HUGE believer that making small adjustments to your body allows our body to heal itself. I also believe that EVERYONE should be adjusted on a regular basis.
There are so many people who are nervous about going, or who go a couple of times and see no results. Well, it's just like when you get braces or train for a marathon.. You need to go for a while before you are able to see the benefits. But friend! If you DO go, the results will be amazing!!
One thing I would like to add, is make sure you find a chiropractor who focuses on wellness as a whole. They will make sure to teach you about your body and how to allow it to heal properly.
I am so excited to bring to you another interview this week with my friend Meredyth Cann! Meredyth thinks so much like I do about health and food, but she has gone deeper into the food/biblical freedom and health with a biblical mindset and I am beyond thrilled to share our chat with you!
I am so very excited to bring you this week's podcast! Today I am interviewing my good friend, Diana Kerr! Diana is a certified professional life coach for goal oriented, driven christian women. She believes in living purposefully and intentionally so we can focus on the most important things in our life!
We talk how to deal with living intentionally when we have such FULL lives, goal setting, Diana's health story, and resolutions!
Check out this week's episode and GO SIGN UP for Diana's email hugs. They are amazing!
I LOVE talking about the immune system, which sounds super weird, but I really do think about it a lot. The immune system means "to be protected." So from cells to skin to gut makes up your immune system. You want to make sure you are building by eating the right foods, getting enough sleep, and taking care of yourself to help prevent sickness.
However, when you do get sick, because you will, your immune system will be stronger and be able to fight the illness off quicker.
So many of us go straight for the over-the-counter meds when there are so many natural ways to help. In today's episode I have some tips and thoughts on what you can take in order to help support your immune system when not feeling well.
For some of us, the holiday season can bring up so many feelings of stress and anxiety around food! Let me tell you something... it doesn't have to be that way!!
In this week's podcast episode I am giving you some tips on how to eat healthy during the holidays. I am so excited to share that it doesn't have to be hard! With a few adjustments and some changes with your mindset, it can be smooth sailing through the holidays.
I am so excited to be back this week answering all the questions on supplements! I had so many questions about kid supplements and I have some great suggestions. Remember this is NOT medical advice.
Enjoy and let me know what you think!!
Did you know that your cell phone, laptop, iPad, or anything that has wireless frequencies can be causing more harm to your body than you know?
On today's podcast episode, I have Daniel DeBaun talking all about EMF dangers and protection. EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) and EMRs (electromagnetic radiations) are interchangeable terms, so you might hear one or the other used, but know they mean the same thing.
One thing that a lot of people misunderstand is that there is actually a lot of research about EMFs and how they can cause harm to our bodies. I love that we go into this a bit in the episode because it is so important to know that the sheilds are based off research and not just a feeling that harm can be caused.
I hope you don't feel overwhelmed by this episode. EMF's are a big deal, yet are also a little tricky because we live in a total tech immersed society. Don't feel like you need to live and move out onto land off the grid to protect yourself. We talk a lot about some great tips to help with EMF's and learn to shield yourself.
Check out the episode and let me know what you think! I can't wait to hear from you!
Today I am talking all about bloating on the podcast and how to minimize it.
This might sound a little strange, but the gut is an amazing part of our body. It's sometimes referred to as the 2nd brain because it does so much in regulating our body. Our body (the gut) sends us signals and we need to be able to trust them. If our gut is off, then it is impossible to be able to tell if our body is being truthful.
Something that a lot of people don't know is that you cannot solve gut issues with food alone. Food sensitivities are huge, but you could also have a gut infection or not enough good bacteria.
This podcast is NOT medical advice, nor is it full of practical advice. I just really wanted to give you some things to think about and to be inspired to take some action on healing your body. Take a listen and let me know what you think!
Meal planning has become such a hot topic lately. We know that it can save us time and money in a practical sense, but have you ever thought about WHY you meal plan and how it can be biblical and help you serve your family well?
My good friend Natasha Red is on the podcast with me today discussing just this! Her heart and mission is meal planning and how it can relieve unnecessary stress and improve relationships!
Natasha created a Seasonal Meal Planner to help busy moms be more intentional about their time so they can serve their family in a calm and loving manner. When you think about food, it's not just fuel for your body, it also is something that brings us joy and comfort. It's a way for us to love people.
This podcast is a bit longer than most, but it is so so good! Check it out and let me know what you think!
