We also get tips on how to help our hearts navigate the post-or-nearly-post pandemic waters. I hope you will join me on this sacred journey.
Ian takes the shame out of taking an inventory of how our hearts, souls, bodies and spirits could use some LOVE in the form of his most divine essences. He gives multi-level support to heal our hearts inside-out, outside-in.

His company’s name is Extreme Leadership Institute, and bestselling author Steve Farber is as powerful as his company’s name implies.
He also has the giant heart and magical powers of Tinkerbell, and he's not afraid to admit that he shares her core value: Love.
In this episode, Steve talks about the magic he has created or observed in extremely successful businesses who lead with love, infuse love into their businesses and invest in what makes their customers feel loved because, as he says, “Love is just damn good business.”
It’s the name of his most recent book (Love is Just Damn Good Business: Do What You Love in the Service of the People Who Love What You Do), and the name of his podcast.
We invite you to leap into this inspiring conversation with Steve. LEAP, you ask? Yes, LEAP like his previous bestselling book's title portends: The Radical Leap: A Personal Lesson in Extreme Leadership. Steve brings our attention to this love-based inspiring acronym wherever he goes -- including in this episode:
Cultivate Love
Generate Energy
Inspire Audacity
Provide Proof
You don't have to own or run a business to get value from Steve's love lessons. His advice is for all Superheroes of Love who want to make a difference in the world. The love we bring into our work lives spills into our personal lives, affects friends, family and beyond.
So tune in for a love tune-up!

Someone once waved a wand that magically lifted up Simone Gordon when she didn't have the money she needed to feed her special needs son. And, now she pays that blessing forward on a daily basis.
The pandemic has gravely affected many. Domestic abuse and mental health issues are on the rise. Unemployment, homelessness and hunger are an every day occurrence, but Simone is doing all she can to end people's suffering and move them one step closer to making their dreams come true. She isn't satisfied with helping people survive today. She works on moving them toward sustaining themselves for the long term as they move toward creating the lives they truly want.
Simone has been featured in People Magazine and she even won a Webby Award, but her dream has nothing to do with fame, she is on a mission to help as many women as she can as The Black Fairy Godmother, and to start a transition house for victims of domestic abuse.
If you need a respite from the tough news, I invite you to turn your attention to this bright and shining light on our planet, The Black Fairy Godmother. Simone is a true Superhero of Love, helping people lift their hearts out of the darkness and fill with the light and hope that she, her volunteers and donors have to spare for those temporarily less fortunate.

When Hope Hendricks met Ed Bacon met she was on her way to a career as a speech pathologist and he to a career as an attorney. All that changed when God came knocking, and we are so lucky it did because she opened her heart and her mind and they started a beautiful journey that allowed them to both change thousands of lives for the better with love.
Originally from the south, in 2016, they left All Saints Church in Pasadena where he was rector for over 20 years to return to the area. With a home in Birmingham, AL but a full time gig in Atlanta, they straddle both cities, and are doing their best to "evolve forward" as Ed calls it, through the classism, racism, through this pandemic, through the political dissension.
We are all in what Rev. Ed calls Pandemic University, and now amidst the George Floyd murder and protests, we are all being handed some very trying classes which he and Hope both help guide us through with a heavy dose of love and laughter.
You will hear about their relationship, how they navigate with love through even the difficult times weathering internal and external storms with a lot of grace...and laughter.
This interview dives deep but it also grabs your heart and promises to lift you up, up, up during these very trying times.
Rev. Ed's book (which Oprah Winfrey loved and celebrated) also couldn't be a more timely and helpful read. Get it now wherever you buy your books for a major uplift for your heart and soul:

Have you searched online for a "COVID Map" to give you the details on where your area stands in the pandemic?
Have you been getting more and more texts and emails with "deals" lately?
Have you -- or someone you know -- been "ZOOM Bombed"?
And, most importantly, are you wondering how you can protect yourself and help protect others during these extraordinary times?
This episode's guest, Hemu Nigam, says we need to be more vigilant and proactive than ever. But he gives us plenty of tips and tools -- including his new app SYNDESY -- to help us navigate these extraordinary times.
Hemu is one of the top Cybersecurity & Privacy experts in the world who is often seen on CNN and other major news outlets as an expert in online security and privacy. He was one of the country's first online crimes prosecutors against hackers and child predators at the U.S. Department of Justice.
Hemu's company, Cyber Security Affairs, provides legal counsel and strategic advice on cutting edge online privacy and security issues. So, when Jody Savin came to him with the idea for an app that could help people feel more secure in the way they connect in the world, he was intrigued. They started developing Syndesy -- their app that just launched this week -- and soon realized that it had a timely use in helping to control the spread of the coronavirus.
We hope you will want to download Syndesy by the end of this podcast. Find it at the Apple App Store.

Becca Stevens is a true Superhero of Love in the daily business of healing hearts. She is an author of the book Love Heals. She is a priest in Nashville, Tennessee, but luckily she also regularly comes to All Saints Church in Pasadena, CA where Bridget met her.
Over 20 years ago she started Thistle Farms, an international nonprofit organization to provide a sanctuary and healing for women survivors of prostitution, trafficking and addiction. She and her superhero work have been featured in the New York Times, PBS, ABC World News, NPR, and CNN. She leads with hope. She leads with love.
Becca talks about why she started Thistle Farms, how she is committed to healing south of our borders with her Thistle Farms Global projects. She talks about freedom and dance and how she follows the divine breadcrumbs to keep herself dancing.
Find Becca and learn more about Thistle Farms. Her sermon The Invitation to Freedom in Our Lives at All Saints Church Pasadena can be found here on YouTube.
Becca wanted everyone to check out The Monkey Project, a wonderful Peruvian project that Thistle Farms is supporting and that she talks about in this interview as well.
Discover composer Jacob Narverud, whose song is featured at the end of the Podcast. Dance Your Dance was sung by the All Saints choir on November 10, 2019. An excerpt from Becca's sermon on that same date is featured as well. Check out the words to Dance Your Dance:
DANCE YOUR DANCE
Who knows why dolphins leap for joy? Or eagles fly to the sun? We should be light as the morning air But who can tell us how?
Ask the wind Ask the wave Ask everything that flies or sings Ask the moon Ask the stars Ask the brave one who fights for Love
Dance your dance Dance your dance Dance your dance
Our lungs were made for singing Our legs were made to climb Our arms will open wide enough to welcome the whole bright world
Dance your dance Dance your dance Dance your dance
Drop your worries to the floor And kick them to the corner hard Then march to the center of the space you have cleared Grab hands and dance in joy
Dance your dance Dance your dance Dance your dance Dance your Dance in Joy
Christina Dunbar didn't feel like she had a voice for a very long time. She came here with her family from Russia as a young child, a fish out of water. She took silent solace in ballet until her body blossomed in such a way that she could no longer follow her ballerina dreams. Her life twisted and turned in such a way that she became a stripper to support herself.
Life events then gave her back her voice, inspiring her to tell her own stories. Now she leads women through the healing and empowering process of birthing the stories in their hearts through her renowned Los Angeles workshops, and brings some of them even to public stages with She Takes the Stage and Red. She brought her own story, one-woman show Dirty Me Divine to stages in Los Angeles, San Francisco and soon will be bringing it to New York.

It's that time of year when pictures of what life should look like -- for the holidays, in that life review that happens at year end -- comes crashing up against what life is.
One of the five superpowers in Superhero of Love: Heal Your Broken Heart & Then Go Save the World is SUPER ALIGNMENT where our life supports our connection to the divine, to our highest self.
Check in to your own heart in this short episode celebrating SupervAlignment, as Bridget closes out this year of the podcast to go work on her Super Alignment and start 2020 with even more love in her heart.
Aimee Galicia Torres is in the business of telling stories through her documentary films. Usually she is telling the stories for the people who voices would otherwise not be heard. Most often they are uplifting stories of people overcoming adversity.
On November 19th she found herself in front of the camera at a press conference, announcing that thanks to a new law in California, she can now sue the priest who molested her between the ages of 8 and 12.
Listen to this inspiring story because you don't know who you may help by listening as states are expanding the time within which one must report abuse. In October, California raised their statute of limitations to age 40. Earlier this year, New York and New Jersey raised their statutes of limitations to 55.
People can have a voice. People can tell their stories, be heard, seek justice and further heal their hearts. Aimee is a true Superhero of Love. Find her on Instagram at @shotbyaimee.

We lost a beautiful light and force on this planet last week. Adelaide Finkbine Hixon was 101 when she passed and was nothing short of the Grande Dame of my Love League. Since I was eleven years old, she has been a source of wisdom, laughter and a swift kick in the pants when I needed one. She was an extraordinary philanthropist, who was passionate about early childhood education. Adelaide's list of philanthropic credits is miles long, but I love the twinkle in her eye behind the writing program she started with her husband Alec at CalTech to help scientists convey their ideas to the rest of us folk.
In the photo above, as we waited for a play to begin about 4 years ago, she had just uttered this hilarious sentence "Opera is the television of the 1880's!"
Here she is in her one and only visit when she came to my new home for lunch. I had only very recently gotten settled here, but she was so excited for me she wanted to come as soon as I would have her. She was my champion.
We shared a passion for flowers and butterflies. I always brought flowers which she would inspect in great detail ("Is this from your garden?" "What's this one here?) and deeply inhale their aroma as if she were ingesting their deliciousness. Whenever possible I would bring her a special butterfly find too. This is one of the wind-up butterflies propelled by a tightly wound rubberband. It delighted her so when it flew up high and then landed on her blanket. I couldn't help snap a photo of its synchronistic lavender butterflied landing strip!
This podcast is a love letter to Adelaide with excerpts from Supehero of Love: Heal Your Broken Heart & Then Go Save the World that she inspired.
With love from Bridget...
Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton were at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles on November 6, 2019 hosted by Book Soup as part of their book tour for The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience.
Bridget casually recorded some snippets on her iphone and was moved to share them her. She sought and received permission to share them in honor of these two Superhero of Love authors who celebrate over 100 Gutsy Women who also happen to be Superheroes of Love.
Brilliant interviewer Maria Shriver led the conversation through heart territories that some had never heard about before, and led to Hillary giving some hints about another possible presidential run.

One of the most often mentioned books in the Superhero of Love Podcast is the NY Times Bestseller (for three years!) The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. James talks about how his work has evolved since he first self-published the book that quickly went old-school viral as a "pass-along book." Today it is reaching a whole new audience including rappers Jay Z, P Diddy, Wyclef Jean who name it one of the books they live by, becoming again a book that isn't staying on bookstore shelves.
James talks about a new passion for enneagrams which you can explore further with James Redfield article "THE SECRETS OF THE ENNEAGRAM: KNOWING OURSELVES"
James will be in Los Angeles on 2/11/20 and Sedona on 4/11/20 on his Celestine Prophecy Tour

Yet another synchronicity comes into the Superhero of Love world. Bridget was watching a YouTube video and the next video that YouTube automatically played -- on a topic completely unrelated to the one she was watching! -- was on Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI's). Bridget did an interview with Jerri earlier this year but visited her home for another quick conversation about synchronicity, love, making a difference in the world and TBI's.
EMMY winning director Jerri Sher's new movie, QUIET EXPLOSIONS, is inspired by Adam and Andrew Marr's book Tales from the Blast Factory and follows the stories of several people with traumatic brain injuries who are being helped by some medical miracles now available to TBI patients.

They both work with needles: Trudie as a master embroiderer and Sharon with knitting as one of the important mediums she is working with at the moment.
But the most important thing that they share is that they both have stories of how their art helped heal their hearts. They also are passionate about making a difference with their art and their hearts -- and they both do exactly that with great success.

Dr. Christopher Hartnett has had billion dollar businesses, owns the largest pink emerald on earth, and brought VOIP technology to the world. Those are a mere few of his long list of extraordinary credits. His greatest mission, though, is the one he speaks about in this interview: to help people become Soul-Realized.
Dr. Hartnett studied for decades with masters of self-realization including Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, but an extreme physical condition brought him to Master John Douglas in 2008. After many years of suffering and searching the globe for someone who could heal the illness that caused him to endure over 29 week-long hospital stays and countless surgeries, Master John performed the miraculous cure for which Dr. Hartnett will forever be expressing humble gratitude through his service.
This interview was taped on September 11, 2019 and Dr. Hartnett talks about how an intervention by Maharishi saved his life on September 11, 2001, and also about the consciousness of the world on that day and since.
For many years, Dr. Hartnett has been "in the business" of helping people raise their consciousness, and the consciousness of the planet. Artist Sharon Kagan and Bridget met almost 24 years to the day after they were both featured in an LA Times article that Bridget didn't see until just last week. The article featured an interview with Bridget when she owned The Angel Store but largely featured a story of Sharon as a Superhero of Love, who created an extraordinary happening in the space next to her art studio: The Love Chapel. Curated with love and care, Sharon created a sanctuary that drew visitors from all over the globe who were invited to visit day or night to have an experience of feeling loved.
Sharon is a Superhero of Love for even more reasons, some of which are featured in these photos which you will hear about in the interview -- including tapping into her unknown passion for knitting -- and creating knitted art -- after her mother, a master knitter and embroiderer passed away as a way of healing her heart.
You will also hear a fabulous love story of how she met her husband, artist Terry Holtzgreen who created the table in this photo from reclaimed wood.

Every parent's worst nightmare is losing their beloved child. Some are always terrified of an accidental death. Every new parent has likely feared accidentally harming their child, never imagining though that it might really come true. Victoria Markham endured the worst nightmare, losing her dear 3 1/2 year old boy Koa.
Markham found our American culture under-equipped to deal with grief so she sought other cultures that did grief better, finding comfort, strength and power from them. She now helps others with this wisdom with her company Life Cycle Center and the documentary about her journey, RE:MEMBER, premieres June 11, 2019 in Ashland, Oregon. When has it ever been more important to get women onto the Hill to remove the legislative male hands from our uteri? Never before. And thank God Melanie Childers is on the case because she is empowering, clearing and firing up the hearts of women who are stepping into the political arena for the first time.
She doesn't only coach women running for office but the power with which she does comes through this interview and into all of our hearts. She helps us all imagine stepping into our CEO energy, or what we here call our Superhero of Love!
You can't help but feel empowered when in her presence.
If you know a woman that you would like to run for office, PASS THIS ON TO HER!
If you know a woman in Georgia (one of the 8 states to pass legislation set to harm Roe v. Wade) then definitely PASS THIS EPISODE ON TO HER because Melanie informs us that many of the races in Georgia are run unchecked. There are no Dem contenders in many races.
If you know a woman who isn't quite feeling her power, PASS THIS ON TO HER, because this is a fire starter for all our hearts -- whether politically inclined or political-averse.

When Scott Stabile's parents were murdered he was just 14 years old. No one would have blamed him for shutting down his heart for business at that moment. But he didn't. Instead his journey led him to first survive the unthinkable and then slowly make his way toward healing his heart wounds. More tragedy came, and still he consistently cultivated a life dedicated to love, with an ever widening, life-affirming open heart.
In his book Big Love: The Power of Living with a Wide-Open Heart (New World Library, September 7, 2017) Scott shares that wide open heart with wisdom and hilarity. He reads a wonderful excerpt from the book in this interview and had Bridget laughing pretty hard throughout this interview.
You can find out more about Scott, his book and his upcoming workshops at scottstabile.com and follow him on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Bridget Fonger created Love Forward Talks to further the vision and intention of her book to help people love and be loved more. We have featured a few Love Forward Talks previously -- Ted Lyde, Jan Casebolt and T. Chick McClure -- and more are on the way. Orna and Matthew Walters worked a lot on themselves before they set out to manifest their life partners. They had a lot of tools in their toolboxes, and they used them diligently. They were recovering from - respectively -- childhood abuse and alcoholism, so they had their work cut out for them. They came to the other side of their journeys into each other's arms and with the beginnings of what would become systems for love success.
They have been widely featured in all media as love experts. Orna and Matthew help women do what they did to manifest each other: heal heart wounds and clear the decks for the love and life you want.
In this episode, they give us some great tips and wisdom that apply to far more than romantic love. The work they do to help women find love can help us all when the heat in our hearts -- for whatever reason -- is turned up to scorching. Anything that helps us move around this world more able to bump into each other's hearts in a peaceful, loving way is a good thing, and Orna and Matthew give us plenty of that.
Check out Orna and Matthew's work at Love on Purpose. You don't have to take the long circuitous route to loving and being loved. You can go directly, with purpose, from Point A (pain) to Point B (love) with their beautiful, uplifting -- and sometimes hilarious -- guidance.
T. Chick McClure used to be a man in a woman's body, but now he is skyrocketing through life as the man he always knew he was since transitioning. He gave an extraordinary talk about the journey that his relationship with his father has taken during this transition at Love Forward Talks on November 11, 2018. The audio from that talk is featured at the end of our short catch-up conversation to discover how his life and art are on a rocket ship to higher and higher places every day in these five months. If you know someone struggling with their gender, or in any way confronted by the schism between who they are in the world and who they are in their hearts, you will want to share this with them. Check out Chick's beautiful essay on this topic as well on Medium, his Photo Essay mentioned in this conversation and his Love Forward Talk, and his Instagram. His website is TChickMcClure.com and if you know of a transgender person who could use some support, Chick welcomes those communications with a giant open heart.
April is Sarcoidosis Awareness Month.
This episode is designed to take care of the hearts of those who suffer - or have loved ones who are suffering -- from this not very well known or understood disease. Many sarcoidosis sufferers will in fact never be properly diagnosed unless we continue to raise awareness. Others have been misdiagnosed with other grave diseases, such as lymphoma, and may never know that they may indeed suffer with sarcoidosis.
Many 911 first responders have died from sarcoidosis. But it isn't just a 911-related, New York based disease. Jan Casebolt lives in Los Angeles, and had been suffering for years with this debilitating disease. She was set to fly to the Cleveland Clinic for heart surgery because sarcoidosis had ravaged every part of her body except her brain: her heart was in dire need of repair. Luckily something had her say yes to an invitation to meet Master John Douglas, who is known for healing incurable diseases, and especially auto-immune disorders like this one. Jan received her miracle healing and the physical suffering was finally over. The miracles didn't stop there, though, so listen to this episode to hear all of her uplifting story.
You can read the peer-reviewed case study about her medical miracle at masterangels.org/research

Susan Segal was driving her daughter to school one day when a city bus had to swerve into her BMW in order to miss a runaway truck. Her daughter, Alyce, stepped out of the impossible wreckage and was miraculously unscathed. Susan required a laborious extrication from the vehicle and barely survived, having broken nearly every bone in her body, including her neck. Today, she is the picture of health and her husband Doug Segal tells the story of how and why she is today a walking miracle in his book Struck: A Husband's Memoir of Trauma and Triumph (Prospect Park Books, September 2018)
You can guess it: they are Superheroes of Love. The Segal family believes in the power of love, the unique love of friends, family and complete strangers in a time of crisis, and its ability to bring Susan through this healing saga that could have, at hundreds of points in time, taken a sharp turn toward a far darker end of this story.
You will hear from Doug, Susan and their son Michael, whose life was, of course, also struck by this tragedy-turned-miracle story of love.

Kelly Notaras had an illustrious career in publishing. Right out of college she jumped into Avon Books (which subsequently folded into Harper Collins) in New York City as an editor and worked her way up, up, up until she started her own business kn Literary which is the company she created to help shepherd the dearly beloved books we all have inside us -- that we were as the title of her book says "born to write. Check out her brand new book: The Book You Were Born to Write.
The conversation covers how Kelly's "shepherd fairy" duties - as both 1) shepherd helping carry the emotional load for authors and 2) fairy godmother seeing the beauty and magic in each of our stories -- span into her personal life. Kelly generously gave up over a year of her life to help shepherd her friend and partner through dying and death. This is the article she mentions that began as a Facebook post and went viral: Self Magazine article "Doing Death Differently"
During the interview a major "aha" moment erupted in screams when it was discovered that it was an article by Kelly about the 25 publishers that accept unsolicited manuscripts that got Bridget her publishing deal! That article is no longer available via google search, but Kelly did say that you can sign up for kn Literary's email list and you will get it!

Fatima Matousse's education was nearly snuffed out when her very religious Muslim father discovered she had not been attending school fully covered as he wished. Her punishment for being caught was that she could not longer attend school. Due to the kindness and persistence of her classmates and professors and the support of her powerful mother and family, she made her way back to school at age 12, and climbed her way through the education system to become a Moroccan Fulbright scholar. With that scholarship she attended City College of New York and received an MFA in film. Her award winning thesis project, Family in Exile, is currently on the festival circuit. The documentary short film tells the deeply personal story of the women in her family who have risen above the men who have tried hard to oppress them.
Her upcoming screening at the NewFilmmakers New York Festival will be on Wednesday, 10/24/18. Keep an eye on Fatima, and watch for Family in Exile in upcoming international festivals, and then for it to become publicly available once she gets a distribution deal!

In 2013 she abruptly left her successful Hollywood career to move to Washington, D.C. to serve as the new Senior Director at Justice for Vets, a division of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals (NADCP). She now works at the intersection of all these worlds and her stories are bound to make your heart happy.

After we finished recording EPISODE 14 with Superhero of Love Natalie Hampton who rose from the ashes of enduring two years of being bullied at her prestigious private school, it was clear we needed to hear how her parents navigated these stormy heart waters as well. No parent wants to see their child suffer. No parent thinks they can support their child in just the right way when their emotional and physical health are at stake. Listen to Scott and Carolyn share how they got through this and helped Natalie stand strong on her own two feet, while doing their best to support her through these treacherous times. They also ended up deepening their family bonds as a result.
Natalie Hampton also pops in for a brief story in this episode as well, giving even more reason to love and respect her.
Please pass on this episode to any parent you might know as there may be something they will be able to use one day when they end up trying to help their child through rough emotional times.
Natalie Hampton was bullied for two years at a prestigious private school. She and her parents tried everything to have her remain in the school and stay safe, but the road was difficult, and Natalie has the scars to prove it. Yet, she rose up from years of abuse to take a stand for the kids who can't fight back, and to provide a real life solution with her Sit With Us App, which gives others like her a chance to stand up against bullies and reach out to those who are being bullied.
At 17, Natalie has already received a plethora of award. You will find her gracing the same page as Jane Goodall when she was acknowledged by People magazine in the issue celebrating "25 Women Changing the World." and was 2017 Radio Disney Heroes for Change honoree.
If you have been bullied, or know someone who has, you will want to listen in to her heart of gold wisdom.

She and her daughter, Amy Eldon, began an extraordinary journey after that heartbreaking event. They created a documentary entitled Dying to Tell the Story which premiered at the United Nations, and which asked journalists and journalists why they regularly risk their lives to tell the stories of tragedy. This started them on a journey of telling Dan's and other stories through books, documentaries and feature films.
Kathy's memoir In the Heart of Life chronicles how she has lived around the globe yet always nestled in her heart center. She is the embodiment of open-hearted, but her greatest gift is being a spark for other's hearts to come alive in most powerful and creative ways. She will likely spark yours.
