Continuing the series "Hope (More) Attached To Me" - Jesus Relationally Establishes hope for us. He personally brings hope, because He is the gospel. When we know Jesus we gotta trust Him. And when we trust Him we can Love Him.
Jesus being resurrected gives us so much. It's the way to be justified before God, a way to be connected to Jesus, a way to defeat death, and a way to have our future set.
Doing what is right connects us to hope. Following Jesus well means we do what is right. But know that heaven isn't yours by doing right, we can do what's right because of hope and our belief in Jesus.
Courage comes from hope in Jesus. This spiritual courage isn't normal and can produce discomfort. But this spiritual courage starts with hearing from God, it comes from Jesus himself.
Accept our real citizenship with God because Jesus' followers are citizens of heaven. God gives us citizenship options and choosing Jesus makes us citizens of heaven. We then bear His name and we are safe forever.
Forgiving people can sustain hope. Forgiveness is offered by Jesus, this forgiveness is unconditional. Forgiveness sets us free and it can change us.
We need promises to count on which is why we can trust God's word. We trust God's word because He wrote it and it's true. Because it has the ability to affect lives. Because it prepares us for the future. And because God's word has come through in the past.
We're built to need each other and Jesus' followers are forever connected. We need each other because we need them to walk through life with us; to work with and beside us; to watch out for us; and to help us with our pain.
We're created to belong to God with the benefits of eternal life, a satisfying life, lasting freedom and the security knowing that Jesus has us.
Discover the attributes of hope, how hope encourages and fights off discouragement. Hope gives us something to long for. The greatest gift we can give is hope!
