Jaye and Braden talk about being naked (honest, known, real) before God and worshipping from that reality. God’s not afraid of our messy lives, He signs up to them when we say yes to Him. So why do we live like He’s going to change His mind when He knew what He was getting into from the beginning?

My passion is to awaken the church to the Beauty of Jesus, Intimacy with Holy Spirit, the Revelation of Intercession and a Longing for Jesus' Return. In the same way Jesus' disciples asked Him to "Teach them to Pray" so I believe that I am called (along with many others across the earth) to disciple a generation in prayer. I do this by being a man of prayer, traveling, preaching, teaching, writing, and online courses, which includes 3 live sessions per month. My family and I spent 18 years in Kansas City, MO with International House of Prayer and am currently on the pastoral team at Upper Room Church in Dallas, TX. I’ve been married to the love of my life, Dana for over 20 years and we have 3 daughters: Trinity, Mya and Hadassah.

Lamenting: a passionate expression of grief or sorrow. We often shy away from talking about or feeling these emotions because they're not considered happy, positive, healthy, or life-giving; however, God has a different idea of lament. God is a tender, loving Father who sent His own son, Jesus, to earth as a human to experience everything we experience as humans - grief and sorrow included. Most of the Psalms are written in the language of lament, and there's a whole book of the Bible, called Lamentations, dedicated to this felt experience. So, why don't we practice it ourselves on a regular basis? Today Danielle delivers a beautiful message on embracing lament and how God actually intended for us to experience these emotion and come to Him for comfort.

Jesus - He is life, He is love, He is good, and He loves you very much. In this week's message, James talks about looking inward at our hearts and reflecting on our life, our sins and how we connect with God on a daily basis. God is the creator of all things, yet we tend to rely more on ourselves than we do Him. We give way to fear more often than trusting his complete forgiveness and love for us. God welcomes us to come to Him as a loving Father, confessing our moments of untrust, faults, failures, and fears. He invites us to surrender our life to Him, for when we do, we will see remarkable things! And, why wouldn’t we want that?

Did you know Jesus is interceding on your behalf? He's actually praying for you all the time about anything and everything on your heart. If the Saviour of the World prays for us - you best believe we are called to intercede for our community. Yes, God has the power to do anything but, He actually desires us to come to Him with our whole heart pleading for His presence to be made known. He wants us to be involved in building His kingdom and prayer is a simple, yet powerful way we can do that.

This week we're starting a new series called 'Teach Us to Pray.' If Jesus himself, fully God and fully man, spent 40 days fasting & praying and called his disciples to pray with Him through the night, it goes to show that prayer is an important aspect of the Christian life, for everyone. Cody teaches us that prayer is quite simple - an honest conversation with God, in plain speech that reflects you and your relationship with Him. Prayer is essential but it doesn't have to be hard - all God wants is to connect!
